Reviews of Conference Center
Camille
Who knew there was basically a huge Art Gallery inside?! Went here for the free Sunday Music and the Spoken Word musical performance and it was so beautiful and well-done. But we were pleasantly surprised to find so much gorgeous art to walk around and view afterwards! Such a majestic building with gorgeous architecture. And the rooftop garden and waterfalls are beautiful as well outside of winter.**If you liked my review or found it to be helpful give it a thumbs up! 👍And follow me on Google Maps for more reviews, thanks!

Just a beautiful place to visit. Our last trip was at Christmas time and we were happy to see all of the lights and decorations. If you are lucky to stop by when they open, you have to walk around. The interior art work is so beautiful and inspiring. The staff is mostly volunteers and they are genuinely warm, kind, and pleased to answer any questions. The center of the building is a spacious conference center that can accommodate thousands. They have a rooftop garden with water ways. I have yet to visit during the proper time of year to see it in bloom and with running water, but it was still very impressive. They have nice, free a parking garage in a city that seems to not have a lot of parking. We always stop by here when we are in town.
Robert Lin
Positively bedazzling. Spectacular views of Salt Lake City from the garden rooftop. Unfortunately, as of June 2022, Temple Square across the street was still under construction. But here within the conference center itself, everything was clean and gorgeous. We'd visited on a Sunday and entry was free. The main auditorium is unfathomably gigantic!

Fantastic religious center of worship! We took a tour of the interior and roof of the Conference Center. Two missionaries took us around to show us the huge assembly hall. The pipe organ is incredible. The size of the seating area is unreal. There is amazing art throughout the building and the missionaries explained the significance and symbolic nature of it all. The roof offered a phenomenal view of a temple across the street and the rest of downtown Salt Lake City. I felt a sense of peace there and the missionaries were among the nicest people I’ve ever met. This is a must visit in the SLC!
Justin B
Absolutely beautiful building that I recommend any traveler or visitor should see. Gorgeous artwork throughout the conference center, and the views on the top are excellent. As normal in the Temple Square, expect to be approached very often by LDS members. Can be occasionally difficult to enjoy the art in peace, but it is all free with that cost.
Todd Beck
This is a beautiful building that, unbelievably, they let you explore completely. You can go in the various galleries, you can go into the huge conference auditorium (and maybe hear an organ concert or rehearsal), you can go onto the roof to see the city--it's entirely open. Even better, there are guides in every hallway, and indoor parking is free. So if you're in Salt Lake, check it out as part of your free Temple Square tour.
Sid Unrau
Amazing architecture and artwork throughout - this place features the world's largest theater-style assembly hall (no pillars obstructing view). Free concerts weekly and tours each day, and touring the roof is amazing - there are trees & fields on top of the building.
Owen Heap
Twice a year the church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints has its church leaders speak to the world. This place is a wonderful venue with very convenient seating. I was able to attend attend the Saturday Afternoon session in October of 2022, it was an incredible spiritual experience and I felt closer to God.
Melinda Bednar
Great Experience, they have the history of the church and the elders of this church. They have organ rehearsal's I think daily but not sure, for approximately 30 minutes, on Thursday night they have choir and orchestra rehearsal. Please do not be concerned with anyone pushing faith on you. Everyone is very respectful, cordial, polite and courteous, visitors should be the same.
Check the website for event times.
There is also a museum available to visit at no cost not in the temple, just a few blocks before the temple with the history of the area, the church and a very high tech 3D experience.
Paxton Ward
This place is amazing. Went down for General Conference where our church leaders give very powerful sermons. I have also gone just to look around and it was super cool. I would highly recommend stopping by just to visit it or going to Conference. Both are great experiences!
Don “Ace” Willis
I spend a lot of time in this building. The view from the roof is amazing. There are Missionary Sisters everywhere to answer questions.
William Hunsaker
Took a lil road trip with my homies down to the conference center in Salt Lake! We had a wonderful experience hearing from our living prophet and apostles. The protestors outside the building were a nice touch as well. Temple Square sisters wouldn't let us go up to the garden on the roof but that's aight. I forgive them. Excited to make the trip again in April!
Tyrell Neal
Tickets for general conferences are generally available through your stake presidency. Arrive about an hour early. Parking is available through the open lots east of the conference center. Parking is also available through paid lots of commercial lots east of the conference center. Music for the conference is by the Tabernacle at Temple Square or other choirs from BYU or BYU Idaho. Sometimes, a youth choir will provide the music for conferences. Broadcast from the first presidency, musical broadcasts, general conference, devotionals, and other Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints activities originate from the conference center. It is beautiful inside with original church artwork, sculptures, and design. Tours are offered!
sadhana virkar
Huge place with auditorium havin 21000 sitting capacity .very informative sisters to help you n provide all info.regarding Mormon beliefs.
Breathtaking view from its outdoor balconies.
Elia Mikhael
Cool facility and beautiful architecture. The Mormons were not pushy at all and were very welcoming.
Bishop Snow
Such a well designed structure. I marveled at the wide open expanse from wall to wall and floor to ceiling. I was so impressed by the acoustics of this place. I definitely recommend attending for any event.
SGC
This is a very impressive venue. The biggest organ I've seen in my life!. The staff was super friendly.
Haden Nicks
Such an awesome place to go to. I would recommend no matter who you are to attend General Conference and hear the words that are spoken!
Julia R
Beautiful place, there's a rooftop garden with amazing views.
Too many LDS recruiters though, but worth a visit if you are in Salt Lake for sure
Rodney Shannon
A friend of mine LDS invited me to the 94th Conference celebrating the Journey of the pioneers as The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple square, Music & The Spoken Word this is a world wide even, it was beautiful, the building is amazing.
Stephen Daw
Can't wait to see what it all looks like when the construction work is done. Wow, have the ripped that place apart. Everything is tore up and dug out. It's all for the best though, don't want things falling down in an earthquake. They have done a very good job of making it easy to see what's going on during the construction. Also, the art work they have there is fantastic. The sister missionaries are very friendly and fun to talk to. Even now, it's well worth the visit.
Sue Albright
We took a tour and got a wealth of information. We finished up the tour just in time for the organ concert. What beautiful music comes from those pipes 🎶 …
Larry Kittell
I watched the Spanish program, Luz De Las Naciones or Light Of The Nations. There were over 700 cast members singing, dancing and working behind the scenes to make it happen. I was very inspired by the performance and was lucky to have gotten tickets as they were sold out within just a few minutes. This was the 20th time this was performed. I hope to see it again in the future.
Jeff Stowell
Get your free seat for Music and the Spoken Word on Sunday mornings. The choir and orchestra are amazing and inspiring. Free parking too!
Forrest Sim
Beautiful building. Friendly tour guides. Impressive artwork. Inspiring visit.
Alan Rigdon
Wonderful visiting there today. Beautiful art through out.
Samuel Liddicott
I went mostly for the rooftop garden and had a wonderful tour. Inside and out this building is beautiful and well maintained.
Things are well signposted, the displays are interesting and there are 'Sisters' (volunteers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) everywhere who are ever so polite. They'll answer questions, direct you around, and give you tours.
D
Beautiful architecture. Friendly tour guides. Impressive pipe organ. Be sure to visit the rooftop gardens!
Lisa Fronczek
Every Thursday the full choir and orchestra practice and it is open to the public. The center itself has several floors with art work every where. I didn't get to see the rooftop garden because it was too late in the day but I plan to go back the next time I'm in town. There are a lot of people around to provide information and answer questions, Very friendly and there wasn't any pressure to join the church.
Brig Tipton
This was so epic. I got to listen to prophets and apostles speak to the people. I would suggest coming her because it will make you super happy. I got to come with all my friends and have a great time. The art was super amazing and beautiful.
MOANA
Uh. Hello. I'm LDS. During General Conference sessions it's best to get there 2-3 hours early if you have tickets to any session. The 'sea of humanity' outside the corridors and inside is filled but worth the wait and experience to hear and see our church leaders and our beloved prophet speak to us through divine inspiration.
The 'Wow' factor is surely there once behind and into the arena. Breath-taking. It's beautifully constructed with elevators and escalators, scriptural and historical paintings line the walls... so much to see.
Go check it out.
Taylor Brady
I don't know how you can give this place anything less than a 5-star rating. The conferences here are always amazing and inspiring. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints takes great care to ensure the building is a place where the Holy Spirit can dwell, which brings irreplaceable feelings of peace and comfort. Check it out, even if you aren't there for conference!
Anna Berdnychenko
Beautiful building, the large concert hall.
Amazing fontaine in the hall.
Dave Thomas
The atmosphere here is just amazing. Seats are comfortable. You can hear pretty well. Watching the play here was great. The cast did a good job.
Deb Wright
Beautiful conference center! Everyone is so willing to help you. Explain things to you. We even received a private tour of the soundboard. A must see for those who love architecture and sound quality!
Katie Kittell
We went to the cultural performance of Luz de las naciones. It is a free performance but you do have to get tickets in advance. They go like crazy so be ready as soon as they're available. We've also been there for General Conference, as well as the Mormon Tabernacle choir Christmas performances. All, I highly recommend. They are all free and professionally performed. Honestly I would have paid over $100 per ticket. Definitely worth the time.
Michael Corrigan
Every time I visit the Conference Center I'm amazed at the beauty, versatility and sheer size of the building. It absolutely speaks to the foresight, inspiration and revelation that created it. Love going there!
Mervin Orr
Next to the temple no better place to get a spiritual boost and some direction as how I can point my life to Christ.
Robert Jones
The Conference Center itself belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not only a wonderful place to visit for church functions, but it offers other reasons to visit as well such as the roof gardens, the architectural marvel of the building style, and one can take a tour and enjoy it. I definitely recommend it.
AAPROMEDIA (AL)
WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!!
The place was exquisite!! The sound of the organ was especially inspiring!!
Mark Westover
Temple Square is spectacular. The Conference Center has 21000 seats all facing forward. We attended the Tabernacle Choir's Christmas Concert. It was a remarkable experience.
Nick Soter
Really cool building. So happy I could visit!
Rees W Bandley
Breath-taking, and spectacular!
Be sure to allow ample time to see it all, 21,000 seat auditorium, plus a 900 seat "little theater" with an incredible 6 acre garden on roof. Enough with pitching this place, just go see it for yourself!!!
Cassie Whiting
Wonderful way to start our Christmas! Always spectacular!
L M
Free Tour are available and they have beautiful arts pieces.
Dasharatha Aduri
Must visit place even if you believe in religion or not, when you are in SLC. The volunteer are extremely patient and will give you a free guided tours. Though you can roam around the four floor building on your own, there are certain areas where you need a volunteer to enter. Try going to all the floors. The auditorium they have within the building is huge with 21k seating capacity. Its simply stunning. Also, on the 3rd floor they have a mini display of temple square showing whats it like inside the actual temple.
Highly recommended!!!
Ben Buchmiller
The Conference Center is pretty epic to the full on gardens on the rooftop to promote green energy to the vast conference hall with balconies suspended. The bust of the former prophets are pretty cool as well and remind me of the Jedi Temple busts on Coruscant.
Palani Havellana
Beautiful, Friendly and Amazing all at the same time! Was so happy to be able to see the city from the 26th floor of the headquarters building! The main conference center was amazing being that it holds 21000 people. Going back in the evening on Thursday to listen to the Tabernacle Choir practice was an experience I will never forget! That was a great day in Temple Square! Christmas is another time visitors should go there as the lights are fabulous!
Willard Harvey
FABULOUS! Concert was GREAT! SEATS were comfortable and spacious. We loved it. Flew in from Houston, Texas - it exceeded expectations!
Terry Camp
Incredible venue to watch a performance and worship.
Travis Rudd
We had a great time visiting the conference center. We watched a play in the small theater on the side and the show was great. The whole area was decorated with Christmas lights and was spectacular. I would recommend a stroll in the grounds any time off year but particularly during Christmas time.
Mary McConnell
The live broadcast is something to see in person. It was lovely and the facility is immense. The building is beautifully built, and falls into the landscape so well I couldn't tell that i was in such a huge space, nor did it appear so from the outside. A destination for sure. the rooftop gardens made me forget I was on a roof. The water flowing through the facility is redirected from and goes back into the river.
Tom Hilbig
These photos include many shots from the roof of the Conference Center. My wife and I were welcomed by a member of the church and given a personal tour of the building and its art and included a walk on the rooftop that showed off the views of the Salt Lake City. This appears to be the norm here and is free. He answered many questions of the Mormon religion and never made us feel like he was trying to convert us.
Sheyla Zito
It was so beautiful, perfect and emotional presentation. We walked in and thought it would start only 9:30, but they were already playing. It was breathtaking to watch, listen and feel the music. Be part of the live recording was very special!
Mark Elmer
Always a great experience attending the Choir at Temple Square performances. The Conference Center is unmatched as a venue
John Burgoyne
This place is the best!! So much to see and learn about!! If you have an opportunity to attend General Conference, take it! The size of this building and the spirit that is felt within is amazing! Everyone is so very nice and friendly! Tours are available, too, to see it all.
Girish Nair
Right across the road from Temple Square, this facility has a good roof garden from which to look at downtown SLC. Absolute engineering marvel. Massive 20K+ seat conference facility, with a roof garden that supports tons of stone, water features and trees. Access to the garden does require a chaperone, but there is always someone waiting at the entrance to guide you through the facility. Got assigned one right away.
The roof deck has many fountains and water features and attempts to recreate some of the scenes early settlers saw in the valley when they first peeked over the mountains.
They also have an organ recital every 30 minutes which is great, but not a must visit.
Parking is a cinch within a few blocks of the square.
Renaissance Man Reviews
You can freely tour the building which doubles as a sort of LDS museum, but part of the rooftop gardens are currently closed.
Amber Sheets
Free tour of the 21,000 seat conference center+ those on the stage and the Tabernacle Chior. Beautiful paintings.
Juan Fuentes
I'm not mormon but I can't deny the beauty of the architecture of their building and the fact that they allow people our of their religion to go in and meet these areas.
All the people we meet are extra polite!
Burt - Utah Family
Amazing !!!!! Great Performance. Highly recommend.
Scotty Pressley
I love Temple Square! It's alive with culture, but I can feel some degree of peace anytime I'm there. It's very beautiful with a lot of history. Loved the Christmas light displays!
Margaret Brown
Absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed the tour and the choir performance. My flight home was delayed so this was great for sight seeing!
Jou Jou
Staff were awesome at this place. Very helpful and gave us a guided tour of the complex
Ernel Lewis
To think that the church used to hold conference in the tiny 3,500 seat Tabernacle years ago compared to the present state of the art Conference Centre capable of holding 21,000 since the year 2000 is just amazing.
On the roof of the Conference Centre is a nature park with a water fountain that is said to be directly above the podium inside the conference centre. The view of the streets and surrounding buildings including the famous Salt Lake Temple is spectacular.
Rebekah Mardis
It is always so peaceful there!
Ken and Alicia Lund
A wonderful venue that blends in well with the surrounding Temple Square and Capitol Hill area. The auditorium itself is beautifully done as is very quiet for how large it is. Comfortable seating and excellent parking.
Thelonious Linford
My friend James and I had a awesome opportunity to attend a session of conference in person. It was a blast.
The ushers are very helpful and knowledge, and the people screening you at the door are very kind and respectful. The building is beautiful and super spacious. Seating is great, the seats are a little cramped side to side, but there is plenty of legroom for anyone (I’m 6’3 so I know)
Slade Grove
Stunning.... Truly a must see and experience. The works of art, the staff, it was a great experience.
Phil King
Beautiful property and very impressive to hear and know the LDS passion to build a community they could prosper and grow with so many, great and like minded souls. Impressive urban development and such great people.
Corey Calder
Incredible place. So clean. Easy to navigate on your own. Very friendly hosts to guide you and answer questions.
G M
This is one of the few reviews I've done and given and rated as 5 star. I have been the Conference Center several times over the years. Each time I leave a amazed. My latest visit everything was different because of Mr. Covid -19 still hanging around. The conference center was open for self guided tours. I've never been a fan of guided tours. Because I like ask the the tour guides questions. This tour was still enjoyable due to the very helpful way it was set up, and there were people at the information desk to help. I did not have time to take my friends up to the roof to see the fantastic views of Salt Lake City. Let me add you have never seen a roof top like this one! Even with the restrictions in place because of Mr. Covid-19 this place is still worth the visit when in Salt Lake City.
Dr Steven Armstrong
Absolutely awe inspiring. The organ recital was magnificent, the tour fantastic, and the people are wonderful. Regardless of your religious affiliation, this is well worth the time. And do give yourself some time, it is an enormous building with many artifacts to see.!
Alex Xu
I think the church was nice, and was pretty much one of the only major attractions in Salt Lake City. The building itself was nice, but you can’t enter it because the Mormon church forbids you to. I suggest going to the museums in the church area, and definitely do the tours(which are free) in the museums and around the church. The organ is very nice, it is around noon and lasts for about half an hour. You can obviously leave for lunch and renter. In the morning depending on when you stay in Salt Lake City, there is a choir, which I definitely recommend going to. I suggest at least dressing up a bit and arriving on time. But I don’t think spending more than one day in the church area is necessary.
Sabrina Corpac
Attended a couple of the Tabernacle Choir of Temple Square (formerly Mormon Tabernacle Choir, MoTab for short) concerts in this building. If you're attending a concert in this building, show up early because it'll get crowded. After a few minutes of security screening, and figuring out your seat assignment, just sit back, relax, and enjoy their inspiring music. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has several concerts in this building, along with their biannual religious conference, General Conferences in April and October. See their Temple Square website for more information on tickets. It's truly a beautiful building, inside and out. Their choir sings amazingly.
Donld Trump
Cool place. Nice friendly people. They are Christians and they are not a cult. They believe in Jesus Christ.
Someone said that all the volunteers working there should be helping the needy. This church recently donated about $32,000,000 to the UN's world food program. They donated almost a billion dollars to charity to help those in need. That was just this year. They have thousands of volunteers who go help clean up after natural disasters. This is just scratching the surface.
Someone also said that they have a bad history and they try to cover it up. They have had some very bad things happen in their history, like the mountain Meadows massacre. But they don't try to hide it. If you don't believe me read the series: Saints. There are four volumes and they are very accurate. This book can be found in the gospel library app.
Kayt R
We saw Music and the Spoken Word and it was phenomenal. It moved my sister to tears and gave me chills. The building is gorgeous with lovely artwork and sculpture. And the rooftop garden is a must.
There are also tours of the conference center which I highly recommend.
Margaret Lawson
Beautiful buildings and temples. The grounds are well kept and the staff doing tours were very knowledgeable and professional. Not an LDS member so this review may not be what you are looking for. Its definitely worth going downtown to Temple Square.
Dustin Youngberg
So wonderful to learn from living prophets and apostles! Powerful spirit as we sang with thousands of fellow Christians! Free tours and peaceful grounds for meditation/prayer.
Aaron Christensen
This is an amazing building! With seating for more than 20,000 people, their is not an obstructed view in the entire building. This is used for the twice yearly conferences of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Latter-Day Saints (aka Mormons) learn from the leaders of their religion, including the Prophet and Twelve Apostles - who are sustained as "Prophets, Seers, and Revelators" (God's messengers for our world today). Musical and theatrical performances take place year round. The art on display in the building is all original work. Their are som great pieces representing God's love, Christ's role as Savior and Redeemer, and scriptural depictions. We toured the amazing building (FREE TOURS!!!) and walked around the amazing gardens ON THE ROOF!
Peter Gardiner
The conference center is a place filled with the spirit. Opportunities to come to this center are hard to come by but it is worth the fight to get there! Here the leaders of the church of Jesus Christ if latter-day saints share their important message with people all around the globe. It is a beautiful place filled with happiness and happy volunteer service
Daris Kody Killian
I love The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints.
I love being in this beautiful and dedicated Conference Center. Just the structure, details, engineering and craftsmanship is incredible, but to be in a gathering of Saints and Neighbors and to feel The Spirit of The Lord their is never to be forgotten. Im 46 and went often to the old Tabernacle across the street and it had shsped my life leaving a lasting impact and respect and love for God (Heavenly Father) and Hus Son Jesus Christ and Their revealed will and words through a living Prophet and general leaders of The Church, men and women.
Jeff Hansen
Honestly, such a vive. We were there during Christmas and there were lots of really good high school groups doing Christmas concerts.
Stephenba Daisson
Wonderful message that we are all God's children and he sent his Son Jesus Christ so all could come back to God. Also The Book of Mormon is an other Testament of Jesus Christ by reading that book we can Learn of Christ.
Mike Terry
Awesome tour of a pretty awesome building. My favorite parts were the artwork (all originals) and the roof which has fountains and is planted with trees. The tour guides are not allowed to proselyte, but will answer questions about the church if asked. Definitely recommend a free tour if you are in town. Just go to door #15 to find a tour guide.
Troy Kump
It was nice to go to conference and listen to the talks today. The grounds were beautiful. I wish we would have gone to see the tabernacle, but we only went to the conference center today.
Krystal Wirth
I stayed at the Salt Lake City Plaza so naturally I checked out the conference center. I'm not Mormon, but I am an artist/painter and I enjoyed viewing the amazing paintings throughout the 3 levels. All paintings were original, usually you pay to see artwork so I felt blessed to have seen it for free. Go to the 4th floor to see the amazing views if the city. The many sisters were very kind and helpful too. Thank you
Sir Benjamin Arthur IV
Incredible place! They give free tours of the center. The auditorium is massive and the roof garden is beautiful. They also have daily organ performances so don't miss it.
Mickey Deutsch
Beautiful humongous building used for general conferences of the Church. Also used occasionally for Church musical programs. Tours open to all. Worth visiting if you are in town.
Heidi Jensen
Good parking, easy access to the facility and numerous guides to help find your seat. Would recommend attending a session of Conference if you never have.
John Doe (Jonathan Smith)
The staff & hosts here were wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable. They are passionate about what they're doing and loved receiving questions. The establishment was quite beautiful and has a lot of story to it! I highly recommend getting a tour!
Jonathan Durichek
Great place to visit in Salt lake city. Learned more about the religion and things I did not know.
Ryan Hendrickson
Beautiful artwork, thunderous pipe organ, massive gathering place. Tabernacle Choir, arguably America's finest. What's not to love?
Michael Salisbury
What a wonderful place to be, Everything was done so well, amazing, the main hall can hold 21,000 people, Wow! So nice to see the lights and the Christmas story!
Ryan Allen
Beautiful place! It was super cool to be here. It was really busy for General Conference. (It's when the Prophets speak to us and it's broadcasted worldwide live.)
But yeah! It has a lot of cool art, and statues, and it holds a lot of people. The views on the outside are really pretty too. I'm glad I had the opportunity to go.
Scott Kemp
We took a tour of this place it was amazing the structural and design is amazing the pictures of the Savior. The art was amazing. Also free parking on Sunday. The tour took about 1hour for us, we had a big group with little kids. Over all it was a great visit. Highly recommend anyone to take a tour of it.
Sarah Whetten
Temple Square is a beautiful place where I can feel the spirit of God.
The landscaping is amazing and such a creative use of the spaces with plants, trees, and flowers all around. The rooftop of the Conference center is fun to see.
The architecture is so neat to explore. Each building has unique things to see.
We saw Music and the Spoken Word and I highly recommend it. It was an amazing performance by world class choirs and the Orchestra at Temple Square.
Bill Ince
My son and his violin teachers other students performed in the lobby at the Conference Center. Great venue and excellent experience!
Will Oestreich
Such amazing art works. Beautiful building. Or tour guide was wonderful and shared her father's conversion story. It brought tears to my eyes, and I'll remember it forever.
Sibby J
Great building, interesting guided tours! Beautiful rooftop garden and fountains.
Wesley Walsman
One of the most spiritual uplifting place to go in the world to listen and receive personal guidance from a Prophet of God and our Savior, even Jesus Christ modern apostles!
Byron Lara
Amazing building, The auditorium is huge. There is a free guided tour. The person that guided us was really friendly and funny and gave us really good info. The art gallery is wonderful. There is a little park at the top of the roof with great views of the Temple Square. I recommend this place even if you are not member of the LDS church.
Bob Robar
THE greatest place to research genealogy in the WORLD! FREE! Volunteers will sit with you as long as you like to help you research your ancestry! No pressure and no proselytizing.... it's like the Morman Church's mission to help people learn about your families history! I was able, in a few clicks, to see relatives from the year 690! Not 1690, the year 690! Plus, after a little instruction on their computers, you are given permission to continue your research at home! Awesome experience! Thank you for doing this for humanity!
Jennifer Taylor
If you want to know some history about the SLC area Temple Square is the place to go
It's free to visit the Tabernacle. Any time of year it is beautiful and open to tours. If your there at the right time you can hear the organ being played.
Courtney C
I went to the conference center in order to attend the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's weekly performance, Music and the Spoken Word. I was a little concerned about being able to find parking, however, it was easy to find a spot on the street next to the center, possibly because it was a Sunday morning. All of the volunteers were helpful and kind in helping us find seats once we got inside. We then decided to stay to tour the center. The tour guide was knowledgeable and kind as well as mindful of our time restraints and made sure we were done in time to get to our other plans for the day. Tours are free and offered during the day 7 days a week. I would definitley recommend to anyone visiting Salt Lake City.
Brian Kuepper
We went to watch a live recording of the spoken word and listen to the Tabernacle choir sing, the performance was incredible!!
Joe Bearden
Stopped at this exquisite place while on our Caravan Mount Rushmore tour, anyone visiting Utah, this is a MUST SEE!!
Junlin Zeng
Great experience there. They have nice free tour for visitors. The guide was great. She guided us go through the conference building. Will recommend everyone for that!
David M

Incredible building where the tabernacle choir performs. Estate of the art acoustics and design. The guides are fabulous and nice. Great views of the SLC Temple.
Paul Hyer
A wonderful place. Friendly and free tours. It's a must stop for any Utah trip!
Trey Lee
Amazing building with incredible architecture. Such a neat feeling inside. There is also a garden and trees that are on top, with an incredible waterfall that flows from the top of the building, over the side and down to the bottom. If you haven't been, please make sure to go if you are in Salt Lake!
Sindy Rivas
On Saturday I went to see the Savior of the World play, and it was amazing, all the events I have attended in this place have been worth it
Emmy Carter
Beautiful. Waterfall of City Creek incorporated in architecture of building. Free tours. During the month of December you could watch the Mormon Tabernacle Choir record their weekly TV show, Music and the Spoken Word, all for free.
Justus Alexander
A very beautifull conference hall . The views from the viewing deck are not to be missed
Joseph Davenport
Architectural marvel, gorgeous gardens (including a massive roof-top garden) and an amazing religious history! A must see in Salt Lake City.
David Stewart
Very interesting tour and amazing size meeting room!
Sheldon Walker
The hosts and hostesses are very friendly and helpful for finding your seat or whatever you need to ask them. Good service and facility for great programs like the tabernacle choir concert we went to or savior of the world!
Mollie Ranger
I enjoy going to Sunday morning broadcast of Music and the Spoken Word with the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. During December the performances are in the Conference Center, North of Temple Square. It is free to the public. You need to be in your seat preferably by 9:15 a.m.
Zach Jensen
Great memories are always made here. Love coming to general conference and feeling the spirit. Also they have concerts here. Those concert are always fun to experience. There is always plenty of seats!
C S
My daughter's high school choir concert was held there, and it is such a beautiful setting
Jacob Jan Doornbosch
all the buildings are free to visit except the temple itself. Tabernacle is an interresting building with a huge organ with almost 12.000 pipes. friendly guides available to guide you.
Lance Harris
What's not to like about free music from the renowned Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra. We went for Music and the Spoken Word during Christmas and the music was phenomenal. Since it was a live broadcast the show was done to perfection.
If you're lucky to get a lottery ticket, the Christmas concerts here are unforgettable and worth seeing.
Eric (Big E Z)
Great Holiday concerts and every seat is the 50 yard line with the mega screens on both sides. And, nothing like being there!
Trey Lee
An amazing experience to hear the #TabernacleChior on Temple Square! Also had the opportunity to hear a living Prophet called by God speak. There were over 21,000 seats in this room, but every seat was a good one with padded chairs and plenty of leg room. The building was very nice along with security. They were super pleasant and helpful.
It was also very clean and despite having almost 25,000 people in the building, extremely orderly.
Dallin Anderson
Was able to go here both as a viewer and a performer and I cannot deny how immense the atmosphere is. Spiritual and incredible.
Posa52
The conference center is huge and full of great art! Everyone is very nice, and more than willing to answer any questions! There's also tours!
Gracielle Bassig
This is a place of beauty, peace, and inspiration. The year round musical performances provide wholesome entertainment. Within walking distance from the Conference Center is the Salt Lake Temple (which took 40 years to build, by hand!), and the Church History Museum. 🙂 …
Gary Wood
Conference center was great! Didn't realize Joseph Smith building is closed for renovation. Bummer!
Jim Dodds
Amazing facility. I definitely want to go back and get a tour.
tadeo castelo
The church has a lot of knowledge to Lear and you can go for free and learn about our relationship with God. I'm a better person for what I learned there.
Darlene
Exquisite Tabernacle! The acoustics are amazing! Worth the visit to see this incredible place!
Brandon S
Beautiful building! We took a youth group here for a tour. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. You can definitely feel peace, serenity, and the holiness associated with the purpose of the building. It was definitely an impactful event for our youth.
Beth Adams (CrazyUS)
I think this building, especially the outside is amazing. Take a tour. The tour guides are delightful and always offer interesting facts about the area. My only nudge is that the parking spaces in the underground parking lot are very tight. If you can find street parking, or even park at City Creek across the street, I highly recommend it.
Staci Freeman
Wonderful personalized tour. The building is beautiful and magnificent. There is a great peace there. My boys and I had a great time.
Sarah Butler
It is a nice place that has a special spirit. It was easy to find where the drinking fountain was or my seat because of the endless amount of help I got from the many ushers. I love the conference center.
Alex Palos
Great customer service even tho I am not Mormon.
Brian Rietbrock
Awesome artwork and friendly tour guide missionaries. Highly recommend!
Ally Halvo
Amazing tour. I had my own personal guide because I only had an hour before heading back to the airport. It also has a garden on the roof.
Erik M.
It's a pleasing experience every time I go. The environment, the people and the messages that are shared from who we consider to be prophets and apostles. If you ever have a chance to go I would recommend to go with an open heart mind and spirit and two pain in the messages that are shared.
Chase
Absolutely amazing what The Church has done here. Great views of temples where on the top if you go in a tour.
Daniel Bardsley
Lots of free things to do. I recommend seeing the family Discovery center, the church history museum, and any of the visitor centers. You can tour the conference center, the Tabernacle, and two visitor centers. There is a model of the salt lake Temple in minature in the East visitors center. Places to eat: Nauvoo cafe (Joseph Smith building), the roof top (Joseph Smith building), the lion house (next to Brigham Young home), and a smorgasbord in the city Creek center. Spend the day and enjoy the company of the beautiful tour guides
Ryan Fuller
Absolutely stunningly beautiful building with a Christ centered message of light in a sometimes dark world. You cant leave here without being affected. There is much to see and feel here ,plan some time to experience.
Adam Kerbel (Fluffy206)
Had a great tour. A lot of things we did not see before. Very comfortable and clean. A lot of lds original paintings here.
Brooke Rupp
This conference center is an impressive building. I recommend going on a small group tour during the week. You can begin your tour at door 15. I learned a little more about the engineering of the building, saw some amazing pieces of artwork, and walked around the top of the building. The landscaping they did on top of the conference center is beautiful, meaningful, and quite the feat.
Wes Dean
The Conference Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is marvelous! Beautiful architecture and features (the waterfalls cascading down from each level, for example), to amazing giant oil paintings adorning the walls, to the incredibly magnificent and open theater space of the main hall. Truly no sight-line issues! And if you're there for an organ performance, or even better, with the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, you're in for an inimitable experience.
Raegan Baker
Such a great tour experience. Such a beautiful place with views all around.
Jonathan Horton
So great. This building is very spacious, but even though it is great and spacious, the spirit of God is there.
Tempo de música Jessica Bianco
This is a excelente place to learn more about Cristo.
Recommend to everyone. If you are looking for a good place for your family this will be 1.
Justin Eyring
First time we have taken the kids for a tour of the conference center. We had a personal te our guide who took time to explain many things to our kids. They for to go to the roof and see a great view of temple square. It is a beautiful building and worth your time to go and visit. Well take the family back again.
Mike Isely
(This is referring specifically to the Tabernacle on Temple Square)
Amazing place, spectacular organ
Regarding the conference center itself quite possibly one of the best large venues I have ever experienced for a musical performance. No obstructed views anywhere (ceiling requires no support pillars) and the acoustics are spectacular.
Marc Nismo Pickering
Attended Saturday morning General Conference 10/1/22. Beautiful place, amazing hosts, wonderful messages.

Awesome place to experience LDS general conference, or other events. One of the most impressive auditoriums I’ve ever seen.
Daren Weber
Good place to visit even if you are not LDS. Everyone is really friendly and people are waiting to give you free guided tours.
Francisco Grumi
This place is the best place to go to know more about members of the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints and what they do. Furthermore the tour they offer there is great and it will help you to ge to know better the church and their history in utah. Also as you can see in the picture, it is more wonderful things like that, that you can see by yourself and it's a nice place to bring all your family and spend quality time with them. I 100% recommend this place located in downtown Salt Lake City.
Renato Barbosa
Wanderful place, more inspiration and beautiful fellings 🙏 …
Drake Hansen
The LDS Conference Center is a fantastic visit regardless of religious affiliation. It's one of if not the largest indoor auditorium ever built and just fascinating from an engineering perspective. If you go, definitely check out the roof for great views of downtown Salt Lake and a beautiful roof garden celebrating the flora of Utah.
McKay Zabriskie
Beautiful architecture! Went for a young adult event. Anyone who attended reasonably early(30 minutes early) was able to get a free ticket to the event and a tour of the center. After the event the church turned on the lights at Temple square.
The message taught was one of belief in God and in oneself. Very positive experience.
Derek Curtis
Had a great time at conference. Great facility. Friendly ushers who helped get me where I needed to go. Now that I have been in person once, I don't know if I will go again--much nicer to sit at home and watch on the couch!
Morgan Parker
Wonderful! The Spirit of the Lord can be felt here. Beautiful in the summer with all of the flowers blooming as well.
Cali Cook
Beautiful building. The tour is free and worth it. Music and the spoken word is broadcast live free on Sunday mornings during the summer from here. There is not a bad seat in the house. Comfy seats too.

Naomi Holifield
Largest indoor performance theater in the world seating 22,000 people. The surrounding rooms are filled with original art that is stunning. Well worth the tour.
Howard Cameron
All decked out for Christmas the Conference Center is a great place to get into the holiday spirit. Come for the Sunday Morning broadcast. Doors open at 8:25 and you need to be seated by 9:15. Come and enjoy.
Laszlo Szabo
Come and enjoy a concert here or just ask for a tour either way you going to enjoy your time here.
Gloria Zentz
The conference center is a wonderful place. I got to watch general conference there, and the spirit was so strong. The whole building is also very beautiful with amazing paintings and sculptures.
Bret Nelson
The chaotic world today creates in us a demand, a critical need, for quite places of solemnity. This beautiful "Conference Center" offers that solace. Wonderful opportunity to let the soul relax at peace and take in thoughts on a higher plane. It was great to let all the happy faces with name tags ask where we were from and what brought us there. Will go back soon.
Roger Denison
It's been over 30 years since I attended a conference session in person. I was worried that there would be traffic and congestion getting in. Maybe, perhaps based on the restrictions on number of occupants, it was smooth getting in.
The ushers were super friendly and helpful. Watching conference on TV does not do justice on the size of the auditorium. It is gigantic! And the organ is incredible.
Mj Moosavi
Beautiful. Great sound and multiple screens. Wonderful experience if you have never seen Conference or any other event live here before.
Ms. López
Saw the taping of Music and the Spoken Word. It was completely amazing. The acoustics were marvelous and The Tabernacle Choir sounded marvelous.
Maria Koneva
Really nice staff (volunteers)!
Beautiful and very clean place!
Interesting!
Heather Pack
This is my favorite building on Temple Square. Has lots of parking and many events. My favorite event is Music & the Spoken Word on Sundays during the months of December, June, July, August and Labor Day weekend. The rooftop tour is worth seeing afterwards. You'll want to arrive around 9:00 a.m.
christine barrett
Esthetically beautiful grounds, historically interesting, calming, peaceful and spiritual. Took a free guided tour with 2 amazing young ladies who were the nicest, most knowledgeable young woman I've met in a while. Highly recommend stopping by if you are ever in SLC.
Maggie Crandall
I love the spirit that you feel here and if you are thinking of going just go and see all the beautiful art work
Al L
This huge conference center was built in 2000 to replace the Salt Lake Tabernacle's general conference function. As a tourist, I just step up from ground level all the way to the top along the artificial waterfall. You can have a bird's view of temple square from the top level.
Rick Clark
Lived across the street and appreciated how beautiful rooftop is. It doesn't look like a stadium.
Christopher Loch
A magnificent structure that you must see no matter what religion you are. This photo is taken on the roof where there are trees growing and water flowing!!

Enjoyed a world class Christmas Concert performance by the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square. The facility is one of a kind and the volunteer staff members made us feel very welcome.
We also enjoyed viewing the beautiful Christmas lights at Temple Square.

The conference center is just magical. I wanted to visit it since I was very little and now with 33 years tears cover my eyes as I enter... Is just incredible. You can see so many paintings inside, statues and see pictures from the temple... Is really special

Jim Pyles
Outstanding opportunity to hear inspired words of the leaders of the Lord's restored Church.
Chris Howard
A beautiful peaceful place with very helpful guides! We enjoyed our experience!
aaron prather
Wow, wow, wow! What a spectacular building. We enjoyed our tour, I'm unable to remember our guides name. She was full of useful information and fun facts. You don't realize how massive the building is until you are led floor by floor by the guide. The water feature is massive, yet soothing. The paintings and sculptures are 100% museum worthy. The roof top deck was my favorite, I could spend all day up there listening to the water, smelling the flowers, feeling the breeze on my skin and soaking up the sun. This is a must do for any tourist, or local for that matter.
Daysha
The place and sound is so beautiful. It's perfect for the kids. You could hear it from outside of the conference center.

Carlos Cruz
A must see place of significant meaning to the LDS community
Kate Allred
This building is amazing! The gardens on the roof are a must see! It's incredible to fit 21,000 people in one large conference arena with no obstructed views, that is one architectural feat! Not to mention they all have padded seats. The music concerts they have in here are absolutely breathtaking! I love to go every chance I get! And to be able to listen to a conference twice a year with a living prophet of God on the earth, that is my favorite!!!
Chance McNeil
I love the beautiful feeling of the performances by the Mormon Tabernacle choir. Highly recommend to visit.
Bryce Franzen
This is such a beautiful and magnificent conference center. While inside, there is a tangible feeling of peace and joy. I would have stayed much longer if it was not for my rambunctious kids. 😅 I think everyone should visit here at least once in their life. …
Jason Prince
The Tabernacle Choir concert was spectacular!
Mr O
I was very impressed by their design of this building. Very well thought and constructed building.
They have a complimentary tour and member volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable. Due to security, only way to tour is with the member volunteers.
They can host around 21,000 people.I really enjoyed their roof. It was like an oasis in the middle of the city. Lots of greens and water. Gorgeous view of the mountains.
Nick Jolliff
The views from on top are incredible with an amazing view of the temple itself. The grounds on top are peaceful and an amazing fountain running from the top thought the building. Then inside is peaceful and tranquil. The tour guides aren't pushy and let you enjoy the views, paintings and architecture. The view inside is breathtaking as you walk in the first time. It's such a high indoor space with no obstructions. Incredible feat of engineering.
Paula Hatch
Beautiful place of worship. Jesus Christ is at the focus and teachings here. Many beautiful pictures and history to be found here.
Larry Stegall, Jr.
It is so amazing to be able to walk around where the brethren will be speaking to us from. Not to mention all the amazing info you find out about the building. Then there is the art work. All of it is original pieces. Every bit of art in the building is original. I love it there. The spirit dwells in side, even more strongly than our chapels. It is truly an amazing building to visit.
Nicolle Bangerter
Great venue for concerts. Hearing The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square is a life changing experience.
Nathaniel Bingham
Absolutely amazing atmosphere!!! I loved every second of being there! The flowers are beautiful and grounds are always well kept! Friendly people everywhere you go! It's a must see!
Nathan Warkentin
It was an awesome experience getting to sing for an event here. There are also a lot of cool events to see here. You can even go for walks near the building and can see many of the other cool historical sites to find from the early days of the pioneers. I thought it was interesting how you could feel when ever the light rail trains came by that was not too far from this building. The flowers and shrubbery just outside the doors look amazing as well!
Adam Christensen
The lobbies have been transformed into a new visitor's center with exhibits showing the original construction and interior of the Salt Lake Temple. From the third floor and the rooftop gardens there are great views of the excavation around the temple and the city as a whole. Tours are both guided and self-guided, with missionaries throughout the building to answer questions.
A J
Nice place, interesting tour. Check it out.
Nathan Argenti
It was such an amazing experience witnessing to General Conference in person!
Magarita chang
My family love to travel on October to see the general conference.
Michelle Emmons
This was one of the best experience's of my life. The tour was amazing and incredible. Truly, the stories and the history behind this building and the structures inside really made the experience. Our tour guide was so wonderful and he brought the best spirit. I am so grateful for the time spent here with my family.
Max Snelders
Amazing. The traffic was terrible, but the conference center is amazing.
Trevor Thompson
Beautiful campus with free tours given by members of the church. All of the sisters were extremely cheerful and happy to field questions. Highly recommend, especially for non-mormans!
Kathi-Ann Busha
Here for Music and the Spoken Word. Always a good time! The parking is convenient in the underground parking garage, and when it's full they let you know BEFORE you pull in. Which is awesome. The staff and volunteers are generally kind and helpful and pleasant. And they are even willing to take being interested in the story of why you are visiting. And if you aren't here for a production the tours are interesting. While you can just wander around on your own, the tours are better because they will give information on the building of the conference center as well as the art. And there is a lot of art.
Jerry Zhang
very nice collection of art
Olly Buxton
Amazing place. Just the size of the conference venue is worth a visit - it must be 300m across. Very polite and accomodating sisters to help with information and background.
Tony Yang
We had a great tour of the interior by their guides and was fascinated with the artwork inside that depicted scenes from the book of Mormon.
Mike Galgano
Very interesting tour led by a friendly and knowledgeable group of people. It was definitely a great opportunity to learn more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints while vacationing here in Salt Lake.
Wm Talbot
We attended music and the spoken word at the conference center. we were lucky enough to get a parking place right across the street for free. Monday through Friday there's a charge for that parking.
We regularly watch this program on TV. It was incredibly magnified in person. From being able to watch the director through a whole song to watching individuals perform on stage it was pretty incredible. The symphony members did an outstanding job as did the choir as, per usual.
There were people from all over the world attending and an incredible variety of dress codes. All seem to mix and Mingle in a positive atmosphere of music and peace.
Andrew T.
Amazing building! I had the privilege of going on the tour of the building and the roof as well as catching the dress rehearsal of the Christmas concert as well. You simply can’t believe how large the auditorium is until you see it for yourself. Insane!! There is a great art gallery upstairs as well portraits of the prominent members of the Mormon church past and present. The roof is a living nature park with amazing views of the area! This building is truly one of a kind.
Heather
Amazing in every way! Worth a stop to take in all the history and beautiful architecture.
Jake Fouts
This is a massive building! The architecture is amazing. The amphitheatre is the largest of it's kind in the world, and has no external supports (visible to the occupants). The garden on the roof is amazing, it feels more like you're in a park than on a roof. Granted the 'meadow' section could be improved. It's pretty much just a typical field in Utah with lots of cheat grass and sage.
The artwork is extremely impressive. The entire building is filled with original paintings and sculptures. Some of which are truly magnificent in detail and size.
Chris White
I loved attending the LDS General Conference here. Place is acoustically amazing. Very crowded, every seat is taken.
Paul Furse
Amazing hall, beautiful music, stunning guest soloist... (Sissel from Norway).
Lovely evening!
Tom Naylor
The Conference Center of the Church of Jesus Christ is a beautiful building and huge. Also has an enormous, gold pipe organ with seats for the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. See it if you get a chance.
DeAnna Haskett
Such a beautiful building to visit!
Casey Van Camp
What a beautiful building and landscape. So much love and care was put into the design here. It feels so different. Even the rain gutter was made to look like a creek. The water features were awesome. If you go check out the garden up top.

I love the conference center! It is a peaceful, beautiful place. If you are visiting from out of town you should take a tour. It is free and there are volunteers that will show you around. There is a rooftop garden with water features as well where you can get good views and sit and relax.
Nicholas Linsenmeyer
One of the BEST places to feel close with God and hear the Prophet
Kyle J. Leonard
Enjoyed our stop to see Temple square. The missionaries there were very friendly and we enjoyed seeing the Salt Lake temple from the roof of the Conference Center
Jordan Buchanan
This could be a biased review, as I am a member of the Church. But I'll just stick to the facts: the helpers here are always very nice. The building is beautiful. The room temperature is always near perfect. The events put on are always very professional and entertaining (and usually free). Overall, wonderful place. Also, you can go on the roof.
David Johns
Really awesome tour for both members and nonmembers of the LDS Church. The building is beautiful and unique with a lot of wonderful original artwork and amazing views of the city.
Ben Haws
The building is absolutely gorgeous! It's very spacious, and had a peaceful adviene. There are many works of art and large gardens and free this. The main room is enormous, the seats are comfortable... Even the underground parking is good.
Dave Nelson
This is an incredible structure. Not only as an amazing theater but the waterfalls and the rooftop terraces were so cool. Definitely worth the time to take a tour if you get the chance. Make sure and ask lots of questions and take pictures up on the rooftop terraces. Great views of the city.
Scott Isaacson
What a beautiful Conference Center. It is lovely in all aspects. The Tabernacle Choir is very moving. What a strong witness and testimony of Jesus Christ.
Special K
Such a cool building! Has a meeting room with a stage, the biggest in the world, that seats 21,000. The paintings inside are so good that they look like actual pictures taken on a camera. Our tour guide knew about everything and was super nice. There was a glass sculpture thing hanging from the ceiling that can be seen from every floor. The roof is full of trees and other plants that are native to the area. There is also flowing water on the roof that cascades down one of the windows. I had so much fun touring the conference center.
Naomi Gardner
Great place for Christian and LDS art. Great view of temple square
Jiří Kremser
Building was beautiful. I and my family went there to see the conference room and it was a great experience. Right after entering the building one of the guide approached us and guided us through whole building. We were all atheists, but it was quite interesting (sometimes funny) to see what stories can people come up with. The guide was amazing, she was nice and not pushy at all.
Ben Johns
This is quite an exquisite building! I really enjoyed the group tour we took here. The gardens on top of the roof are really amazing. Just seeing how big this conference center is quite a spectacle and should not be missed if you are visiting the Salt Lake area. Tours are free.
Hannah Baldwin
This is a peaceful, clean and friendly spot to be, I always love coming here when I'm in the city. The guides are so nice, and very knowledgable about the Conference Center and the history of the church! It's free, getting a tour is easy, and there are lots of neat things to see and talk about (museum type fare, such as paintings and artifacts, including a diorama of the SLC temple).
Liz Maughan
Such a beautiful building, across from Temple square. The acoustics are fantastic, and the seating is so comfortable!
Ahmed Ali
Amazing place. Very unique and beautiful building.
Tyler Morris
This is an amazing piece of architecture as well as a great spiritual area of the world.
Andrew Keller
Really cool place to visit, kind of a necessity if it's your first time to SLC. The tour guide was great- super nice, gave us a really detailed account of the facility and history of the church and never felt like we were being indoctrinated. The sheer size of the convention center hall is breathtaking
Brad
WOW! Truly an amazing building. Clean enough to eat off the floor, full garden mirroring the local environment ON THE ROOF of the building. Beautiful artwork gives the building a museum-like feel. Worth the effort to see whether you go for an event or just a guided tour and tours are FREE.
Kent Polkinghorne
Easy to park and free to walk around or get a tour. A very nice building and cool to see the organ and where we can see firsthand words from the living prophet and apostles.
Jason Foote
This is an incredible building for many reasons. First, it is an engineering marvel, with huge levels of seats supported without any visible pillars or beams.
Second, it is gorgeous. The architecture is unique and gorgeous. The building is covered with trees and made of granite. It looks more like a mountain than a building and blends beautifully in with the surrounding nature.
Third - and most importantly - it is a spiritual haven. God's word through His prophet and Apostles is spoken in this building every 6 months and transmitted across the globe in an unbelievable number of languages. From the time I was a boy I have come to this building often and heard and felt these words stir in my heart.
John Bishop
Went and saw music and the spoken word. Amazing!
Kenyon Smith
Beautiful, incredible building. There are always people willing to take you on a tour of the auditorium, the art galleries, and the rooftop garden. The pipe organ in the auditorium is magnificent and you might be able to catch a recital if you plan ahead. And if you ever have the chance to hear the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square perform here, don't pass it up!
Ronni Rose Victoria
Beautiful. The choir and orchestra were amazing
Don
Just attended concert at the conference center. It was great!
Laurie Lichnerowicz
Visited The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Conference and Visitors Center. Beautiful building and a plurithera of information about LDS and the Mormon faith. Lovely people there all around to answer your questions and give you information.
Kimberly Dawson
This was one of the mist amazing experiences if my life! I would come back again and again but I live in Texas. The missionary guiding us took us in a backwards tour and explained things very well. We got to know her as well as she got to know us personally. I absolutely loved all of the paintings and sculptures. It is such a beautiful place and there was so much more in the building that I was not aware was there. I am so grateful for the fantastic experience that helped me feel the spirit and gain a greater understanding of how it was by it and the lives of painters and some of the prophets and apostles.
Lon Young
Awesome, free tours. Architecture is impressive, especially for a newer building. Beautiful, pianist playing made Christmas music that permeated almost the entire building.
I'm grateful somebody is still willing to spend the money and effort to build beautiful things, rather than just build things quickly and cheaply!
Stewart Campbell
You gotta hear the organ played!
mike towns
Absolutely amazing facilty and architecture, with unobstructed views from every seat (no pillars in 20000+ seat facility). Fantastic acoustics, extremely clean everywhere, and beautiful artwork (pictured, sculptures, etc). Beautiful rooftop garden. Gracious and accommodating volunteers. Literally five star operation.
Makenzie Everitt
Beautiful! Simply beautiful! There's a lot to see and the Sisters working there are SUPER friendly and helpful! It has a lot to see and a bunch of church history. It was amazing!
Sabrina Cowley
With all original art, this is a hidden gem. Free to the public!
Catherine Dean
A place of beauty to worship. Wonderful people. Wonderful message that brings true joy and lasting happiness
Tyler Smith
Had a great free your of the building and of the garden area on top. Really cool engineering feat to have such a large open space with no internal support columns and a rooftop garden.
The tour guides say they are locals that volunteer and are not supposed to preach but leave that to the missionaries across the street.
Jeff Foster
Loved music and the spoken word then general conference.
Trevor Hendrickson
Everytime I go inside this building I am so impressed by the architecture. It is such a grand and beautiful building and between the large organ and the phenomenal acoustics, it serves its purpose well by allowing you to clearly hear the speakers or music from anywhere in the room all while sitting in comfortable chairs.
Jeff Solavei
An incredible building, each of the 22k seats can see the speaker/stage without any obstruction. Truly a stunning sight! If you are in the area, be sure to take a tour!
In addition to the main conference room, there are also beautiful hardens on the roof with a built in waterfall! Addition rooms host beautiful art by Latter Day Saint artists depicting the historical and scriptural accounts of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
A must see on your tour of Utah
Ashley Robert
I really enjoyed my time at the Conference Center!
My husband and I came here together. We received a tour of the beautiful artwork that is based off of Bible and Book of Mormon scriptures.
Additionally we received a tour of the amazing roof garden.
This conference is very beautiful and everyone there was so friendly and had great information to share.
Visiting the conference center is free and I would encourage it, since there is great art and a garden to see. Plus the peaceful feeling there is very strengthening.
Anna Marie Spackman
Absolutely incredible feat of architecture. I loved viewing all the original art, but my favorite part was being on the roof with the fountains and trees and realizing the amazing huge conference center was below my feet. It was awesome and a little terrifying at the same time.
I don't know anywhere else you could see such amazing things for free :)
Jeremy Bowden
It was great. So many missionaries there to help. Beautiful artwork and of course that giant organ. Gorgeous.
Jerry Rinehold
Omg it was so beautiful and the sisters (tour guides were fantastic)we did both organ concerts and it was just amazing. We went twice because it was so beautiful.
Niesha Nelson
Beautiful. We heard Music and the Spoken Word live. Amazing!
Phil Hoover
Salt Lake City has a scarcity of architecture, but the LDS Conference Center is a much-needed exception. It is truly a gorgeous facility.
Daniel Romney
I was just their for their annual Christmas Concert. It was a fantastic experience. If you haven't ever been inside, you will be shocked by how big it is inside. It sits about 21,000 people. The sound quality is fantastic and the productions never disappoint.
Austin Hodges
This place is flipping amazing. The sheer architecture of this building is mind blowing. Largest of its kind. It is beautiful, the events are spiritual, the music is grand. Such an amazing experience to come here. Free tours every day too!
Angela Maldonado
Very friendly host gave us a tour. The artwork here is amazing whether your religious or not.
Gary Short
Beautiful building with very welcoming hosts.
Jake Cline
An amazing place of peace. A place full of the calming spirit of the Lord.
Brooke Freebairn
Enjoyed a nice tour by a sweet sister missionary, who was accommodating of our families’ personal interests and took us to see the things we asked about. The kids loved the fountain and the beautiful rooftop plants and views. Unique and interesting place to visit - and can’t beat a free personalized tour!
Christian Deussen
Great staff and good facilities! Huge and comfortable seating made it fun.
Jason Richards
Fantastic experience, wonderful to see the features of the conference center and take a detailed tour. Truly amazing. The acoustics are second to none for a theater layout. The largest theater style building in the world. Seating for 21000+
Brad Brian
Cool place lots of room and great seats all around.
John N
The church was enormous and beautiful. It was my first time in salt lake city and visiting a latter day saint church and it definitely impressed me. Upon arrival, I was very kindly greeted by everyone. Then we went on an introductory tour that was amazing and touching. I can't wait u til the next time I visit Utah and this church again.
Jeffrey Bailey
This is the best place to go see General Conference if possible. I know it can be hard to get a ticket, but if you can don't pass up the opportunity to go. The ushers are very helpful and polite. The seats are comfortable and there are seats available for handicap people as well. The acoustics of the building, along with the sound set up, makes hearing possible for any seat. They also have translation equipment for several different languages.
Stephen Whitchurch
Currently doing a show. Love this place.
Matthew Mori
It was the first day of guided public tours. We had such a fun time with the sister missionaries guiding us around and showing us the various artwork. The tour lasted about 30 minutes, and we got to go walk around the roof deck on the top level with a beautiful view of Temple Square and Salt Lake City.
James Dean
Great place, beautifully designed. In the hustle of a busy city, it is nice to find a place of peace and tranquility. The landscaping, and lights that adorned the exterior were beautiful as well. The art work inside is something everyone should take the time to see.
Rachelle Pew
The music and production is always top notch!
Mick Epperson
Peaceful. Safe. Amazimg architecture. Flowers in bloom and so bursting with color. People to talk to about any subject. Tours of everything available for free. Yes. Free. The art work on the grounds and in the buildings is stunning. You will love the feeling of serenity in the middle of a very busy city.
Jennie Bruce
Beautiful facility. It was designed to move large groups of people in and out with efficiency. They host the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and other amazing events. The acoustics are wonderful and the organ is one in a million. Ask for a free tour of come to a free or paid event. You won't be disappointed.
Sarah Young
The sound in this building is none other than epic!!! The conference talk like all didn't disappoint either.
S Karki
It really a massive auditorium i have ever seen. A marvel of engineering. Good and friendly volunteers to guide you.
S W
This place is an architectural marvel. Tours are free and no appointments are necessary for small groups or families. There are several art galleries with paintings depicting events from scripture, statues of prophets, fountains and water features, and amazing chandeliers. Just entering the main auditorium is stunning. Most of events heels here are open to the public and many are free. One of the wonders of this place is the rooftop gardens with a phenomenal landscaping and plant life. This is a must-see place when touring SLC.
Benjamin Harker
Enjoy visiting the conference center for a tour. Initially we just wanted to visit the roof, but we learned we had to take a tour first. I'm glad we did, as it was neat to hear about the construction in different parts of the center. I do think it would have been nice to linger on the roof a little longer unsupervised though.
Taylor Greenwood
An large and impressive building filled with lots of seating with unimpeded view of the stage. The artwork throughout the building is also fun to see. Tours are available, see the Visitors Centers on Tempe Square (across the street) for more information. There are concerts and events held here, as well as the general conference for the church held twice a year (in April and October).
Gustavo Hideo
I had tour inside the conference center, and it's beautiful. If you are near Utah, worth it to visit the conference center and have tour.
Concho Roncho
I love going to the conference center. It's a gorgeous phenomenal building. The meetings are fantastic.
Only drawback is traffic and parking. They try but it is located in the center of a large, older city so options are limited, even for the disabled. Most places are good to be sure those with disabilities can access things easily (including parking) but this place is a little less so in my opinion.
Jon Petty
Amazing building. I love that the structure was built without any supports that obstruct the audiences view. Great place to see community and Christmas concerts. One of a kind building.
Ben Jenkins
There is no building like this one anywhere in the world. It's a must-see. The tour guides are always nice and informative as they walk you through the conference center. Be sure to ask lots of questions, because they sometimes don't know what you want to know! A feeling of peace fills the building as you check out the paintings, sculptures, rooftop, and the extra large auditorium.
Luis Felipe Montoya Valenzuela
Beautiful place! You can also go and have a tour around when it's not being used for the general conference
Matthew Veil
Beautiful, clean, peaceful, friendly volunteers and staff, just a wonderful place to go to. We've been on their tour multiple times and each time it was very enjoyable and informative to what the purpose of the building is for and very inviting. I cam hardly wait to attend a concert there.
Brian Bellamy
We have lived here forever. Hadn't ever been on a conference center tour. Very interesting. Wish we could have gone through the garden on the roof.
Tyler Whitaker
It's always clean, and very beautiful. There are a lot of paintings, sculptures, and other types of set over the building. Tour guides are very informative and kind. The meetings that are had here are also very inspiring. Open concert practice is held every Thursday evening starting at 7:30.
Blu Haws
Amazing experience every time I visit. Fantastic event for anyone looking to make connections.
Murna Sparks
This is a very beautiful Tabernacle. Beautiful pictures, grounds and art work. Wonderful Sisters to help you go thru. You will love it.
Bryan McDonald
awesome building! my favorite part is the original artwork. I went in Dec. 2010, was great to see the square lit up for the holidays. Going this spring again. I hope to get to go to the roof this time, it was closed off last time I went. (side note: why are all the negative reviews about Mormons? Thought this was a review of the conference center. Oh well) five stars
Elizabeth Rudolph
I went here for the women's session of conference in October with a friend. It was very nice, and the staff were very welcoming. The architecture of the building is amazing. Plus it is located near public transport which makes it easier to get to withou having to worry about traffic.
Kevin Johnson
I learned something there today on tour: President Hinckley set the Conference Center apart with a dedicated prayer as they do when dedicating a temple. I felt a wonderful spirit while taking the tour with my wife and family. Just like the feelings I have when visiting temples of the church and serving there. May the Lord's words continue to sound from this sacred edifice.
Jacob Zonts
My wife and I went to the conference center to see a Christmas concert. It was a great concert and put the well put together well. My only complaint about the conference center is that it's not the most well designed Music Hall. Because of its size and because many of the walls don't have sound deadening material on it sometimes the sound echoes and is lost. I much prefer going to Abravanel hall for musical performances. When not attending a concert you can take a tour of the building, the best part of the tour is the roof gardens, quite spectacular. The building also contains many pieces of original artwork which add to the ambience of the building as well as to the interest of the tours. I would recommend going through the tour with the family but I would not recommend taking the whole family to a concert.
Dave Bresnahan
The people at the visitor's center so very nice. I had time top spare during a trip to the area. I'm so glad I stopped by. Very informative, no a sales pi tch or effort to convert. Very friendly. Highly recommended for families. Plenty for kids. I enjoyed looking up my family tree.
Dr Bill Morgan
Very clean. Peaceful and organized.
Jana Obray
Wonderful free Christmas concert!
Amy Kendell
The acoustics are fabulous for such a large hall. The seating is such that nothing blocks the view, not even the person in front of you. The ushers are all volunteers and they do their best to be helpful, though remember they're human and they're trying to seat 21,000 people within a short period of time. It was helpful to me to find out that at Door 4 is the Will Call and if you are waiting for someone you can leave the ticket with the person's name on it, send them a text, and go in and get a seat. I recommend arriving early to any event here. If it says be in your seat at 7:30, get there by 7-7:15 and plan for parking! You will have to park and walk.
Andrea Todd
Saw The Piano Guys at Music and the Spoken Word. Fabulous!!
Ryan Hart
Fantastic place to visit! You can really just feel how special is. The architecture is magnificent! Simply stunning! The missionaries are very kind and knowledgeable. Even fun!
I'm Amanda I'm NEW
My first visit was grand. They're very organized and there was plenty of time to get into the conference hall. All the people there one very kind and considerate all the volunteers work together perfectly to help direct everybody in to their places tickets were looks over quickly everything was just managed so properly and organization was amazing. The area around the temple was so clean and everybody enjoyed how peaceful and joyful it was to visit
David Wagner
Amazing and friendly staff great event and amazing building. Easy to find. The tour is nice and informative and the garden on the roof is beautiful and has a wonderful view of the Salt Lake Temple.
Robert Hilke
A must-see. Be sure to take the tour!
Jordan Allen
A truly amazing and inspiring conference center. A must-see, must-experience location.
Kevin Price
This is the location the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has built for the leadership to speak to the world. From this location twice a year there are highly thoughtful, poetic messages delivered, designed to speak to your heart and hopefully speak to what you need to hear.
Mark Tullis
7:30pm on Thursday is the place to be to listen to the Motab rehearse.
Karen Nance
Amazing, amazing experience! International congregation of the most respectful and quite likely the nicest people you'll ever meet. The best possible atmosphere for such an event - really know that God is in our midst. Crowds were suitably reverent and worshipful. Will attend at every opportunity.
Jordan Johnson
Very neat experience to come here. I've been for a tour before, and it was interesting to hear the history behind the building, and see behind the scenes of everything. I've also been for General Conference, and it is a great experience to be in the same room as other like-minded people as well as with the members of the Quorum of the Twelve.
Katherine Yelisetti
Beautiful architecture and grounds. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and there are elevators and escalators and stairs to all the floors to accommodate any special need. The acoustics are great and stadium seating ensures that there is no "bad seats" to distract from performances.
Nicole Weeks
Music and the Spoken Word with the Piqno Guys was awesome!
Sarah Richards (Cheval Dancewear)
I was volunteering to help clean. I was asked to dust in the terrace area, the fist balcony. I dusted about 2 miles or baseboards and railing.
I've performed in that building several times and attended several meetings, and I'm still amazed at the incredible size.
There is a scripture story in the Book of Mormon about a great and spacious building that tempts believers away from the Tree of Life. The Conference Center is a great and spacious building, but we go there to hear God's word.
JayBuck
This is a great building, and it's recently been remodeled in May 2018. The leadership is great in the wards that meet in this building. I feel like this building has a lot of potential of bringing the neighborhood closer together. I wasn't ecstatic about attending this Ward and building at first, but it has really grown on me.
Mary Louise Miner
I used to serve here as a church service missionary.
Wee Liang TAN
A wonderful venue for the concert held in the conference centre. It looked distinctive from the outside but the real beauty lies in the auditorium especially when the choir and orchestra are in attendance. It was my privilege to see and hear both on concert as part of the 68th UN Civil Society Conference 2019. Volunteers show you through the buildings.
Travis Hoyt
Pretty impressive venue. Guided tours are available and great entertainment options with the adjacent theater and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concerts. It does get pretty wild twice a year for the big conferences they put on there but that's kind of why they built it.
Kieron Sinnette
Absolutely great venue. Comfortable, state of the art, and beautiful.
Marshall Ryan
This building is an architectural wonder! Nothing like it in the world. If you happen to be here in Salt Lake from June to August (or December), you can catch the world renowned Tabernacle Choir rehearsing in the Conference Center Thursday nights. (Or performances on Sunday mornings)
Kourtney Fitzgerald
If you can make it for a performance, do. Even if you don't like choral/orchestra music. The acoustics are incredible. If you go on a normal day, take a tour! The guides are always so nice and will show you whatever interests you, whether it is art, architecture, plants, stage... Tell them your interests and time frame and they'll cater to you. We brought young kids and learned about stage lighting, how the stage can be configured for different events, saw various art pieces, statues and paintings of past church leaders, then went up to the roof garden and learned about all the native Utah plants, some local geography and history of a few buildings nearby.
Kristie Mathews
Beautiful building. Very good tour guides. Very clean bathrooms. My family really enjoyed all the artwork in the building and the roof top garden was amazing. It had the best view of the downtown area.
Taralyn Hunt
We walked in and there were so many people willing to help direct us to where we wanted to look and answer any questions we had. We only had a few minutes to spend, but I was very impressed with the tour guides. The building looks way bigger on the inside! I'd highly recommend to anyone to come visit the conference center, and especially during General Conference if they're able to. You feel the Spirit of the Lord so strong here!
Ian Elliott
The Conference Center is amazing! It's large and spacious, do that 21,000 people can attend special conference meetings as well as special musical performances with The Tabernacle Choir. There are multiple original pieces of art in it. On top and on the north side are flowers and groves of trees. It is also an electronic/technological marvel. Most importantly, I've felt the Holy Spirit there.
JTC
This is an incredible feet of engineering. Form and function were considered in the design here. A beautiful building that was built with the neighbors in mind. The events held here are community strengthening. Tour guides are friendly and give you a lot of inside details. A really great place to find out about the LDS faith and see a world-class building. Parking is available underneath. Egress is not a problem.
Brian Paniagua
Went to view the savior of the world on opening night and it was fantastic. The cast came out to meet the audience beforehand which was nice. The presentation itself was amazing and the Choir was spectacular. I would recommend this presentation to anyone wanting to feel the Christmas spirit.
Jerry Borrowman
One if three great concert halls of the world. 22,000 seats with no obstructed views, lots of legroom, padded captain's seats... and one of the greatest pipe organs anywhere. A great experience if you can go....
Danelle Robins
Go on a tour to learn about interesting facts about the conference center. Lots of intriguing artwork in all forms. Plus, the most amazing place is the park like rooftop. Beautiful!
Garry Jantzen
Beautiful building. Be sure to take a guided tour. All artwork is original, no copies. True also for music! No recorded! If you hear music, look for the performer(s)! There's a green roof with local prairie grass, with the watering system cascading down the front f the building. The auditorium holds 22,000. Big enough to fit a 747 with room left over for a Cesna or two.
Todd Kraus
A beautiful place to visit.
Amanda O'Connor
Wow this place is beautiful! Marble floors, intricate pillars, details historical artwork, a huge conference center that's amazing, breathtaking views a small garden on the roof and super nice staff to show you around :-) I would definitely return here again to view more artwork or maybe even relax with a book :-)
Debra Parker
I was gobsmacked and in awe. It took my breath away because it was so very impressive. 😀❤😀
Joshua Sykes
This Conference Center is not only beautiful, it holds some of the most uplifting events in the world. 😁 It is located at the most popular tourist attraction in Salt Lake City: Temple Square 💒. All are welcome to attend events here, however tickets are required and often hard to come by.
I have had the pleasure of performing here at the little theater in a musical entitled Savior of the World. My experience was so positive that I invite all to come see the theatrical play performed every Christmas season 🎄
Tall Top
We got tickets for The Savior of The World Production. Well worth the drive. Peaceful, serene atmosphere, our family loves going to visit Temple Square, and the Conference Center. Member or non-member all are welcome to come partake of it's goodness. Loads of learning right at your fingertips. If you want to learn about our religion, first hand... Come take a look for yourself.
David Read
The buildings, gardens. artwork and statues are beautiful and nice to see. There is an abundance of 'Sister' missionaries from all over the world to accommodate visitors from almost any nation who may want a tour or to ask questions. They are always friendly helpful and kind. Temple Square is a 'must see' when visiting Salt Lake City, if you haven't been there, you have not been to Salt Lake.
Brian & Stephanie Clancy
The conference center is always clean and easy to get around! Even though the center holds thousands of people, the bathroom lines are fast because there's a lot of stalls available! ☺ The building has a peaceful spirit inside!
David Wilson
Truly awe inspiring performance, in a magnificent building.
Joshua Bulpitt
A beautiful building with almost every piece of art inside being an original. Conferences held here are life-changing and most recently I attended the Savior of the World performance which was truly moving and broadway-level caliber. I would recommend attending any event held here.
Laura Jacoby
This is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. Once you are on the grounds, you do not feel like you are in the middle of the city. The Visitor's Center is very welcoming. There are many things to see and do on Temple Square. There is never enough time to do it all.
Nathanael Byrd
Beautiful architecture. The programs and events they hold here are always beautiful and inspiring. If you can attend General Conference or a Christmas concert or any other event, I highly recommend the experience!
Michael Bush
Largest church meetinghouse in the world. Assembly room constructed without pillars and with multiple balconies that become stronger with added weight. Sound system is perfect so anywhere you sit has perfect sound. The architecture is phenomenal in scope, yet understated. It is colossal but not ostentatious and serves a very functional purpose.
Has rooftop gardens, exterior waterfall, and tours are always given when no event is taking place. A must stop for any visitor.
Bianca Hale
Big building, soft chairs, fills up really quickly. Awesome feeling in there, and beautiful grounds all around. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' temple is maybe 100 feet away, and the old Tabernacle is also nearby, both historic parts of Salt Lake City and Utah.
The conference center holds member's General Conference (a televised conference from church leaders to all members and anyone else who chose to listen), and other meetings like general women's conference and priesthood conference. Built in the President Hinckley administration, it's a massive building which frequently holds performances from famous and well-known singers.
Randy Robinson
If you're from out of town then this is a good place for tourists to come visit. Even if you're not Mormon. The aesthetics are nice and the tour staff has always been very cool to me. They certainly put up a good front.
chris ink
Beautiful place. Very helpful tour guides. Good views of the temple. Clean. Was on vacation with my family we had a great time.
Sue Prahst
Amazing history, friendly tour guides.
Kellen Giraud
This building is simply amazing. It is a modern architectural wonder and all events here are uplifting and very well done. Most, if not all, events are free. Tours are offered frequently for free as well!
K Lattin
We received a thorough tour, so much to learn and see. The auditorium and story behind how it was built was most entertaining. What a gorgeous building and such nice people throughout!
Tyler
Clean, pretty landscaping. Back when I was Mormon I loved the place. It has a tranquil feeling to it. During conference time there are protesters, and hoards of LDS faithful gathering to listen to speeches by their church leaders. It's a fun place to just wander around too.
