Worked with them to host a holiday party and they were amazing. Service was great, food tasted great, portions were huge. The desserts were fantastic. Thank you souch for helping us with our event! Will definitely have another event there in the future.

We held our 20th high school reunion here and it was amazing! Val was awesome to work with every step of the way. She helped plan an event within our budget and really took the time to help us plan the perfect event. She was accomodating and was always available ro answer questions and give suggestions to help ensure the success of our event. We enjoyed a pasta bar (dinner) and chicken cordon bleu bites (appetizer)and the food was excellent! The staff was also great- friendly and super helpful. I would highly recommend Tamarack (and Val and her team) for any event!!

Valoree and John were phenomenal. The lodge and camp ground is beautiful, neat and very convenient for the type of wedding we had. They were very accommodating, kind, welcoming and professional. The staff was exceptional, and the guest house and cabins were perfect for our guests. Still getting messages from our guests expressing how much they loved the venue and the hospitality!

Joe and I were just there. I had the fish and chips. Fish was in a lovely light batter fried to perfection, fries were hot and crispy. Joe had the beef tips medium rare which were cooked perfect. Mushrooms and onions rounded out the meat. Baked broccoli and mashed potatoes....he said everything was delicious! Band played perfect dinner music.... Great way to end the week

Stopped by Tamarack Lodge on an August Saturday afternoon. We were early for restaurant opening at 5, but was greeted by Val one of the owners, She encouraged us to explore their "Glamping" area. Beautiful grounds, you can walk down to Beach Pond, They offer canoe and kayak rentals. There is a little nook in the woods that would be a perfect for wedding ceremony. There is an obstacle course and cute rustic cabins! There is also a fire pit outside the cabins where they have a bonfire every night! The restaurant is beautiful and cozy inside, Logically set up to provide privacy for the daily restaurant crowd but adaptable enough to have a wedding reception for 200! We sat at the bar and split the special for this evening Duck Gnocchi, The chef came out to talk with us, We spent time learning and listening about the history of the Lodge with the very welcoming staff. We will definitely be including this restaurant as on of our regular choices for our special evenings out. And we are considering it for our wedding reception! Thank you Val and John for all of your hard work to make this local destination come true!

We went for a company event and had a great time. From what I seen, the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. The owners were there and so friendly and made you feel very comfortable. There were cabins that some of our group rented and a great fire pit. The grounds were gorgeous! Would've been perfect if the pool was open!!

We went for a new year's party and it was fantastic. We've been going to NYE events for the last ten years or so and this was the best by far. The guest room was also very comfortable and convenient. The resort owners were very nice and welcoming. We can't wait to come back!

Went for Sunday brunch. I believe that this was their first Sunday serving brunch so please keep in mind the learning curve. I'm guessing they'll better. The food choices were less than stellar and the quality seemed to be hit or miss. The service was on point and live music was a nice touch. I think they will need to adjust the $25 price or the food quality and choice. I'd be willing to try again in the future to see if they make some adjustments.

Had a generous clam strip and fries dinner. Vey good. Really loved the slawthink I would order another side of slaw if I had it again. I couldn't finish all the fries. Very friendly and cheerful people. Wish I had the energy to stay to hear the band. Definitely going back again. Got a personal recommendation on the pulled pork sandwich from a young couple at the next table.

This place was fantastic. We went for the roaring 20's new year's party and rented a room in the guest house. The room was great with a queen bed and a twin on the floor next to it. Full bath right in your room. Also had access to a shared living room that had coffee and snacks most times. Pets were awesome and friendly. Valoree and John are cool people. Running the house, lodge, and campground and having fun doing it. Definitely will be back!

Went there to see Wooden Horse play. The band was great. Social distancing was at an acceptable safe level with plenty of room. And not overwhelming It seems like it would be an excellent location for an outdoor event, wedding, party, or just a family gathering

We had a wonderful time, first time we have been there. Reserved for 25 people for a birthday party. Excellent food, and quality and price. Wonderful staff. It was a very busy night. Place was packed. Thank you staff for great service!

Nice place to take the family for dinner. I like the theme nights (taco Tuesday, wing Wednesday) as it helps us get it if the house in the week. My only suggestion would be to marinate the meat for tacos, as they lack flavoring and even the addition of salt and lime comes up a bit short. A quick marinade would definitely improve the tacos to 5⭐

Beautiful country setting! We went wIth a party of five on a Friday night in July close to seven o clock. Parking lot was jam packed due to a wedding going on at the same time. It was busy but we quickly got a table. We ordered: cod cakes, hanger steak, braised beef, roasted duck. The food came relatively quickly for how packed the resteraunt was. Everyone enjoyed their food immensely! My only picky comment would be, i order the cod cakes and they were served in a basket with paper. Everyone else got their food on a plate artfully displayed.

A little more class this could be a 5 star, little goldmine. The meal I had (rost duck), was very good! I like the menu. I like the building (quaint) and the grounds with lanterns, and, an outside smoking area with tables and lanterns!

Stayed over night in the house during my visit to my parents in Voluntown. Everything was perfect. The place is bright and clean. The welcome was warm and friendly. I would definitely recommend this B&B!

I'm sure it's new business jitters but man, been here well over an hour and a half still no din din....6-2017 Returned just 2 weeks ago, 6-23-18 Man have they made progress! Great couple of folks, wife is a proud barrel racer and Team Rope Leader from West of the Mississippi! Great time sitting around the camp fire outside the husband was so dam attentive with fire wood...we never ran out.Try it!

It's secluded in Voluntown, an area notoriously behind the times in a good way. I didn't have high expectations, but I was blown away. My friends and I had a few apps and a burger. The menu under promised and over delivered. Everything cooked right, flavors on point, I'll DEFINATELY be back.
