Perfect girls night out! With BYOB and BYOF we enjoyed wine, food, laughs and candle making! Ashley and the rest of the staff made the experience amazing! Decor and atmosphere is super cute! Can’t wait to light up my candle sit back and enjoy some more wine at home!! A must try!

Such a fun time. We like to go a couple times a year because they have seasonal scents. I’d recommend this as a date idea or a fun time with friends/family. Would also be a cute idea for a bachelorette or baby shower. You’ll walk away with two high-quality candles that you hand select two scents for (each). Also, every staff member is so extremely lovely - last night we had Jaime who was absolutely wonderful. We are eager to come back soon!

I loved it here! It’s such a lovely space. They have so many scents to choose from and I appreciated that they were arranged by category. The instructor was very friendly and made the process super easy to understand. I’m glad it’s two candles per person too. Definitely worth it!

This experience is a perfect ratio between exploration and creation, extending it by bringing home your two signature candles to enjoys for hours. It was a very lovely, lively, and hands-on event. An amazing candle-making experience! So many scents to choose from, the entire place smelled magical. The candle making process itself is fairly quick from mixing and letting the wax cool down prior to taking it home. Wax + Wine is a BYOB & BYOF place, our stay would’ve been longer if we remembered to bring our stuff with us. I would love to come back again in the future to see their new seasonal scents and create another candle :)

This was such a fun experience! I would absolutely do it again, it was very interactive but also very clear and I felt like I had enough freedom that it wasn't completely pointless but also enough direction that I was never confused about what I was doing. We had such a fun girls date here. The staff is super friendly and the environment is beautiful. They also took many precautions with covid. Loved being able to make our own unique candles! Would definitely go back and recommend to everyone for a fun date idea!!

Wax + wine is one of my favorite places to go for a girls night in the city. Not only is it so much fun, the owners and employees are friendly and kind and the ambiance is amazing. Currently they have outside seating but you still get to take a trip to the “scent cellar” to explore the fragrances and customize your candle. You can make reservations on their website and you get to make 2 candles with each visit. After pouring your candles you can enjoy some wine and conversation while waiting for them to dry. They even bring out your candles in adorable packaging!

Took my daughter and lil cousin here for a little girls night out. They loved it here. Its beautiful house with subtle touches of elegance. You get to select 2 oils for your candle (wish we could choose more) I would say its about 50 different scents to choose from (wish there were more). But all in all I had a FANTASTICAL time and would def come back again with woman my age for an adults girls night out! The experience is pretty awesome You know how to make someone feel welcome and accomodated--thank you!

Perfect place and activity for the corporate events. I went there with a group of 6 people who got a guided candle making class for 90mins. It was in a private room (for 8-15 people) with one instructor assigned to us. The place is BYOB/Wine/Snacks and silverware, cups, cleaning is on Wax + Wine staff which is logistically great and affordable. Moreover you can take your creations home and enjoy the lasting fragrances from your candles!

We had a wonderful time! Mia was great. It was like a getting a presentation with some cool information on the candles and scents. The whole staff was wonderful even the other visitors. Cool and cozy atmosphere throughout and the other guests were just as pleasant.

What a great way to spend time with friends. No artistic abilities required, just a nose for a scent that can be uniquely your own in candle form. The staff was friendly, very helpful and worked with us to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. Remember to bring your wine so that your cork can be added to the growing pile on the window.

Just went for Valentine’s Day and had the best time (shoutout to Mia for being a fantastic guide!). The process was so fun and easy, we came away with two lovely smelling candles, as well as getting a free glass of champagne and a Polaroid photo. Would highly recommend for a fun date night, the staff are lovely and you come away with something you can take home!

What an amazing experience!! BYOB and snacks! We brought wine, cheese, crackers etc. You get to make 2 different candles with 1 or 2 scents per candle. You pick your scents, name your candle and make them with essential oils and wax. It’s chilled there so they’re ready to take home 15-20 mins after you’re finished making your candle. They make it super easy & fun! Had a lovely girls night!! We WILL be back very soon! Thank you Taylor & team wax + wine!

Very nice experience! Great for a birthday. So many scents to choose! The hardest part was figuring out when to eat your snacks, do it while the candles are drying! The table was too crowded to eat before that.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Had such an amazing private birthday party there. Our host, Ricky, was so so so amazing and kind. The variety of scents made everything better and the instructions given by the host were very easy to follow. Such a nice place to take photos as well. Everyone could make their candles their own, and went home so ecstatic over the whole experience.

Sooo cute! Loved the setting. I only wish they wouldn't ask for tips for the person who 'helped' us. While she was really nice it's pretty pricey already to just make the candle not even considering it's a BYO.

The place has a great vibe! The name really says it all. But you must bring your own wine and and snacks. You better make sure your there on time, that's why they schedule certain time slots. But a vast selection of candle scents to choose from. So have fun being a mixologist! I definitely will return.

Today was my mom’s birthday and we decided to have a virtual candle making party with our family and friends. What a GREAT experience! I would highly recommend doing this, especially if you’re looking for something to do while at home. From start to finish, my experience with Wax + Wine was fantastic. They were super responsive via email when we were coordinating the event. The pickup of the candle making kits was made super easy and even the presentation of the bags they put together for us was awesome! Roderick, our host, was super friendly and funny. I highly recommend and I’m so excited to make more candles in the future.

Place is nice for a girls night out or even couples but however candles have absolutely no smell…..they were trash and trashed them right away….just took up space in my house…..go to bath and body works

Wow! My boyfriend and I went here on his birthday and they really made it special!!! It was such a fun atmosphere. My boyfriend is a cologne connoisseur so picking out scents was just up his alley. Our candles smell AMAZING and we cant wait to show them off to our future guests. Roderick was absolutely the best - I feel like we lucked out being guided by such a pro. This place is awesome! You get to choose from 75 different oil scents, to create a personalized smell for your candle. The staff were marvelous as they walked us through the process. Will definitely be returning.

We attended Wax + Wine last night for my bachelorette party! Jaclyn helped us the entire time and was friendly and informative. She walked us through every step and gave tips and tricks as well. Our group loved the variety of scents available and the simplicity of making the candles. Jaclyn was sweet enough to make me two wedding candles as well! The atmosphere was awesome and we loved being able to bring our own food and drinks. I will definitely be back again to celebrate.

This is such a fun and unique experience! My sister and I went for a girls night and not only were our instructors AMAZING but the shop itself is a VIBE. Right now it’s decorated for Christmas by Ricky (one of the amazing candle instructors) and he did an amazing job. Sam, another fab instructor, helped us make our candles and pick out scents to mix. She was so helpful and so funny! She helped us pick out scents that wouldn’t smell crazy together and helped us make amazing candles. Honestly this place is perfect from the theme, decor, people, and atmosphere! What a great time!!! If you’re even thinking about going here, do it!

My girls and I had so much fun celebrating my 31st bday. We reserved a private room and had the pleasure to have Matt as our host. He was so helpful and alot of fun. I highly recommend having your event or date night at Wax + Wine, worth every penny. The candle holders are cute and the scent cellar had plenty of options. My Husband and I came here for Valentines Day. This was our first stop and I must say we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. I had a ball at Wax&Wine for my cousins birthday!! The owner and his staff showed great hospitality. Everyone was friendly and made my cousin and I feel welcomed. Excellent Experience!!! I have been to Wax+Wine quite a few times and each time it gets better. I initially went for my Birthday and the experience was extraordinary. The group of friends that accompanied me were so impressed that we had to make our candle experience pretty much routine. What a great place for a small event. We recently held a bridal shower here with about 20 people. Jordan and his team were more than amazing. Working with Jordan beforehand was so easy and the rest of the staff was so friendly and helpful. The space itself is beautiful, and the selection of candle scents is insane (in a good way.) No need to decorate or buy favors. The only things we needed to worry about were the food and drinks. They already have the glasses, utensils, and plates for you. They even take care of the cleanup! Everyone who showed up had an amazing time and we all experienced a unique afternoon drinking wine and making candles. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I enjoyed it. Our host, Robert, was friendly and constantly checked in to make sure we were enjoying our time. His instructions were good and easy to follow. The room was perfect for our party of 9. We made 2 candles each. While we waited for our candles to chill, Robert gave us trivia and there were two prizes. I enjoyed myself.

The aesthetic in this location is just so lovely, and not to mention the great music playlist as well! Rachel was such a stellar instructor and was so patient, helpful, and kind! The format of the session was well-structured, and we left feeling more than ecstatic about our creations. I will definitely return and recommend this experience to others!

Great group experience! We had 8 girls participating and got to use the back room which was excellent so we could all sit together. Destiny helped us out and was engaging and fun as a hostess! We also met the owner which was a plus... Nice to see hands-on ownership! The place is decorated beautifully and it's very organized. Every time I visit is better than the last. The staff is personable, knowledgeable, and simply awesome! I recommend Chandler, Destiny and /or Fiona. On Mother's Day, I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with the owners; Marla, Alen and Jordan. Wonderful people. The scents are many and amazing, the candles absolutely beautiful. It was so much fun and quite easy to do! Yeah, the price is a smidge steep but the whole experience is well worth it. Bring some wine and friends and get to it. Note: You MUST be on time or you will lose your time slot and half the experience. They do not mess around.

The owner, Jordan, and his staff were unbelievable today! I came into town with my girlfriend for her birthday, this place was recommended. Being able to combine and build our own fragrance of candles was a great date worthy moment, something that we can take home with us and continue to experience. If you ever get an opportunity, you need to book an opportunity to go! I know I’ll be back in the future.

Went to Wax & Wine as a part of a bridal party for my best friend who is getting married. It was such a wonderful experience, it exceeded my expectations. The staff was so accommodating. They realized our party was a little uncomfortable at the table they had set for us, so they moved us into their comfortable party/event room in the back. So kind of them! They went out of their way to make this day special for our bride. And the making of the candles was SO much fun..I’ll definitely be sharing my great experience with all of my friends! My husband and I throughly enjoyed our time at Wax and Wine on Saturday 6/12/21.The atmosphere is serene and inviting.My complaint is with the candles. Despite the strong fragrance of the candles when making, there is little to no fragrance when burning them. As recommended we waited 72 hrs to burn and are very disappointed in the outcome 🤷🏽‍♀️

11 of us gals all went to Wax n wine for a bachelorette event. We were all immediately impressed by the chic, clean, setup. We had a private party in the back room, where you can BYO food and drink. The hostess (Chandler) was incredibly helpful, kind, and fun. We all really enjoyed making our candles, and definitely recommend it for any events! Also, they were very responsive to all of the questions I had prior to booking the party. 5 stars!

Highly recommend! We booked Wax on Wheels (Yes! They can come to you!) for our office holiday party. Jordan and the team came early to set everything up and even provided music of our choice! The process was fun and interactive and the office is still talking about it! If you want something different, please check them out!

A great alternative to a sip & paint. My first time going and I would definitely take the trip just to do it all over again. So many wonderful smells to choose from and the scents are strong in the candles. I ended up leaving my purse in the bathroom and Justin kept it safe until I returned. I have visited Wax + Wine 4 times and have absolutely loved it every time. Aside from the concept being brilliant, the customer service is unparalleled. I made a mistake in my online booking and showed up with no reservation - I was with a friend from out of town and embarrassed but the owner Jordan seamlessly and immediately accommodated us and made us feel really welcomed. Every year, moms that graduated from Hampton University get together - without children and significant others - to treat ourselves for Mother's Day. This year, we chose Wax + Wine ... and so glad that we did. We were greeted with a smile and then graciously handed off to our hostess, Destiny. Our group wasn't rushed and the staff was incredibly patient with us as we sniffed our scents and asked questions and we mixed said scents in the hot wax. Surprised my SO with this place on V-day at their new location in Old City and it was awesome. You have enough privacy to not even worry about the tables around you, the staff was professional and fun to interact with and the candle making process is very simple and not messy at all. You can bring your own alcohol and food is a plus and the 90min window goes by so fast. Highly recommend!
