Had my dads 80th surprise birthday party here recently… everything was amazing… room was beautiful.. food was great ..service was above and beyond! Would highly recommend having your event here! Hi Nella and staff. it was a great party we have had and a lot of the visitors tells me about the food especially appetizers, the fish came out little bit of salty but it still good with the pasta! Mamma Vittoria hosted my wedding event and all I have to say is, WOW. Elegance Professionalism Deliciousness I’m extremely pleased, the staff helped me step by step throughout the event. They organized me and my wedding party, worked together with my DJ to ensure everything went as I had planned, they arranged everything so it looked it’s best. Me and my wife had the most wonderful wedding reception here. Nella made the whole process as seamless as possible. We had just under 120 guests, a DJ, a photobooth, and a bartender. Nella was able to help us organize the room layout so everything was placed comfortably. There were plenty of servers to help everyone and distribute food and drinks etc. Me and my wife were able to relax, spend plenty of time with family and friends dancing, eating and just having a great time. We could not have hoped for a better wedding reception. Thank you Nella!

I had my wedding last October at Mamma Vittoria, and I dine there quite often on Friday nights. The large party room where my wedding took place is really nice and big enough to hold a party for up to 100 people. The food is fresh and varied, prices are affordable, and the service is professional. They were very organized with my wedding reception, and no details fell through the cracks. Last Saturday we had our wedding at an off-premise venue and Mamma Vittoria Catering was our food vendor. Food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it! there was a good variety of dishes for everyone to try. The delivery was on time and we didn't even notice it when they brought it in. The food, was truly FANTASTIC, each table had more than enough from Appetizers, salads, vegetables, bread and our delicious entrées. The Ladies who served us, were Great, let's give them a raise. This place is great. Here on a Friday night for a surprise birthday dinner party. The Italian food chef cooked up for us tonight was top notch. I can’t wait to come back for dinner in the restaurant. 75-80 in the party room for the gate ring tonight and there is room to spare. The staff is great. All of our needs have been taken care of.

The room we had was the smaller one and it was so cute and cozy and it looked wonderful. Their pricing was fair and the food was great. I would use them again if I had another event. Beautiful catering hall! I had a surprise 30th birthday for my husband and everything went perfectly! The food was amazing, the room was beautiful and perfect for my 95 guests! I was able to bring in 4 casino tables (large tables) and we had plenty of space. Everyone had a great time and complimented the food and service. Bringing in the alcohol was easy since we dropped it off after we purchased it and their staff took care of restocking drinks/ice/cups. Definitely a must for a party/wedding! Can't thank Nella and her staff enough for making this experience such a fun, and great learning experience for my next event. This was my first event held on my own (baby shower for my fiance ) and she, along with all of our guests were very much impressed. I had run into seating issues, DJ placement, drinks to guest ratios, and Nella was quick thinking and solved it all within seconds with her many years of experience in catering. Her entire staff were super accommodating and friendly to all my guests. They even held a reserved parking spot for my fiance and I right next to the entrance. I found myself a few days after the event already looking at their menu for my next event.

We celebrated our baby shower in this excellent venue, i can't complain about anything in here, I'm really thankful for the service that Mamma Vittoria provided us, Nella is very professional and was always in constant communication with me trying to plan everything with enough time. The food was so delicious, all my guests were so pleased. The staff was A+ since the morning when we went to the venue to do the decoration, they help us with the setting, music, other tables for the gifts, to accommodate the wines in a container and put the ice to a beer keg. The place was very clean. They exceed my expectations, I would definitely recommend this place to anybody.

I had my Mom's 90 Birthday Party here with about 50 guests. Initially we thought the party would be smaller and at the last minute the Proprietor made special arrangements to accommodates us. The servers were fantastic and the food was Italian Jersey fantastic!. There was plenty of food and the caterer accommodated our needs to provide our own desert and cake and decorations. I highly recommend this venue. The price was fair and the service from beginning to end was wonderful.

Me and my girlfriend had a baby shower here a couple of weeks ago. The food was great, Nella was great, and the venue looked amazing. However, my main problem was the manager David who waited until I was fully intoxicated to try and bill me. This was unethical and should have been discussed the day before or at a time when I was sober. He also attempted to bill me $5 per person for every minute that I went over the scheduled time slot. Again, this was never discussed with me and he waited until I was fully intoxicated to bring it up. Also, according to my guest one of the older waiters (female) was very rude to them throughout the event. Nevertheless, I still feel like it was a good baby shower overall which is why I gave them 3 stars.

I hosted a Confirmation Party for my son. Coming from a big Italian family we know good food. My family raved about it. The food at Mamma Vittoria is delish! When I Hosted a confirmation party for my other son my family was thrilled to be going back to Mamma Vittoria. I had about 90 people. The service was fantastic. They can accommodate small parties, big parties. I have been to other events at Mamma Vittoria and all equally as good. Highly recommend!

I had my engagement party here and my experience was as good as it gets. Nella and her staff were so wonderful to work with. They were clear, easy-going, and willing to do anything to help make our event exactly what we wanted it to be. After reading all of the great reviews Mamma Vittoria had already, we were already expecting the food and service to be exceptional, and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. Any time we called before our party, they answered all of our questions and remembered everything we requested on the day of. We started with appetizers and then had a buffet-style dinner. The food was unbelievable and we even had our guests tell us how good it was. I also loved that it was byob and that we could bring our own desserts for a small fee. Overall great experience. Highly recommend.

The staff was extremely professional and diligent in making sure all the guests were happy. And the food was delicious! I had my daughter's baby shower at Mamma Vittoria's recently and had a perfect experience with everything! My guests raved about the food which was delicious and plentiful. Our servers were super friendly and accommodating and were always on top of everything. The restaurant itself (we had the back room) is decorated lovely with very pretty lighting and there was more than enough room for everyone to move around comfortably in addition to having ample room for the various tables that we had set up. If you book with them for your event, in addition to all of the above, you'll find the owner, Nella, to be very sweet and accommodating as well. All around - a great experience. You won't be disappointed!

My wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Mamma Vittoria and couldn't have had a better time. The food at the buffet was excellent and plentiful, the space was very nicely decorated and more than adequate for the fifty guests we had, and the servers were very attentive. Throughout the coordination process, Nella was very polite and responsive in her emails, and was able to accommodate our requests, all for a very reasonable cost. When there are so many moving pieces to keep track of when planning a wedding, it is very meaningful and appreciated when things go off without a hitch. I had my wedding reception here and it was awesome! In planning everything they were attentive and responsive and made us feel very comfortable that everything would be just the way we wanted. The day of everything was perfect and the food was superb. Our friends and family are still raving about the food. We enjoyed it so much that we went back for Valentine's Day, which again was perfect. On Valentine's Day one of the servers, who was not our server that night, remembered my wife and came up and gave her a hug! I know they're closed now with everything that's going on with COVID-19, but once things go back to normal don't hesitate to book them for your special events... You will not be disappointed!!

I would recommend Mamma Vittoria to anyone interested in having a special event or celebration. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and for the holidays it looks amazing! We selected the buffet option and the food was really delicious for serving 40+ people. The service was beyond amazing, the owner Nella is really easy to work with and very accommodating. The servers and staff were all very attentive and on point with what our party need. Overall it was a really great experience for us and our guests and we will be having future parties here for sure.

I hosted my Engagement Party in this venue and it was flawlessly executed. The venue allowed us to come in the morning to set up some decorations and the staff was very accommodating. The food was delicious and we even had leftovers to pack home. I was so happy with how everything turned out. Since the venue is BYOB, we had a small area for beer and wine and another area for desserts. All in all, I would definitely come back and recommend Mamma Vittoria to others.

Words cannot describe the amazing experience we had at Mamma Vittoria November 8th. We celebrated our 21st year Anniversary in this beautiful place, and had the most amazing stress free time. Nella, a delight to work with, really an amazing person with a beautiful heart. The cocktail hour & dinner was great, everything tasted just as perfect as it looked, the portions were very generous, everything was freshly made and seasoned well. Everything went so well that day, absolutely perfect and we owe it all to Mamma Vittoria and their staff. Nella sat with us on multiple occasions to pick our linens, discuss food options & even arranged our ceremony in the park.. she treated us like any other paying bride & groom. The staff was so helpful the night of our wedding & made sure our guests and ourselves were very well taken care of. The room looked beautiful. The table settings were pristine & the uplighting gave our wedding that perfect touch. I highly recommend Mamma Vittoria if you are looking for a more intimate sized wedding. We fit 90 guests with room to spare. It had large wedding venue appeal & service with the perfect smaller intimate wedding vibe. Ten stars.

What a wonderful place to have an event at. If you are looking for delicious food, affordable prices, a home-like atmosphere, and good service, it’s the place. We had our wedding there on August 21, 2017 and we were very pleased with the experience. The manager Nela and her assistant were very accommodating and very patient with us. They even allowed us to decorate our hall a day prior to the event. In addition to that, we had our wedding on Monday and they were open for us. Normally, they are closed on Mondays. The food was delicious and fresh. Our favorite things were chicken marsala and fried calamari. Overall, the manager and her team helped make the day really special for us and for that, we are very thankful. If we have any events in the future, we will certainly go to Mamma Vittoria again.

I booked months in advance, but Nella kept me posted on when we would need to work out the details. Due to a hectic travel schedule, I fell slightly behind with finalizing everything. All of my guests had a wonderful time and commented about how good everything tasted. Their recommendation of a bakery was perfect, and an unexpected backdrop to take photos was an added bonus. Can I give them a 10? I live in California, but most of my family is in New Jersey where I grew up. My best friend from high school recommended Mamma V's and we had our family reunion here last week. I made all the arrangements via email and/or phone. Working with Nella on the planning was amazingly simple. She's a total professional, has loads of experience with events, and was immediately responsive to all my inquiries. We are a large Italian family and we enjoy good Italian food. Everyone loved the buffet. Personally, I loved the Salmon Livornese and the Stuffed Pork Sorrentino. We also had the Rigatoni and the Chicken Francaise and everyone was totally pleased. The day of the reunion, Laura welcomed us and ran the event flawlessly. Kudos to Nella, Laura and all of their employees. My family had a wonderful reunion and I'm sure we'll come back. Ciao Bella!

My husband and I had our wedding of about 90 people in the Duomo Room at Mamma Vittoria and it turned out perfect! First and foremost Nella was just wonderful! She was extremely helpful and accomodating in helping us plan a memorable, delicious and cost effective wedding. In the Duomo Room we had our own personal side entrance for us and our guests and we had the ceremony performed there at the hall that Nella’s staff beautifully decorated with both our decorations and some of their own. There was also plenty of room for our hired bartender and DJ. So many guests at our wedding are still telling us how much they loved the food and atmosphere at Mamma Vittoria’s. My husband and I frequent Mamma Vittoria’s Friday dinners and were even able to request our favorite dessert they make for the wedding alongside our cake- espresso panna cotta! My husband also requested cigars outside and Nella’s team set up a great little space for that outside for our guests! Highly recommend for any party from a birthday up to a wedding and for Friday night dinner.

Above and beyond. I went to a baptism reception and, upon hearing about my food allergies, the waitress went above and beyond to cater to my needs. She even went so far as to bring me out the bottle of oil they use so that I could double check the ingredients myself. Mamma Vittoria is a quaint little Italian restaurant on Nutley’s main boulevard that specializes in special events. Decor is rustic Italian. There are three different room options, with different capacities and menus to fit different needs and price points. Menus have buffet, plated, or family style options. The restaurant is BYOB and they will provide proper glasses (champagne, wine, or beer) and chill your beverages. I attended an event with a family style menu. Shared appetizers included bruschetta, house salad, and calamari. All were fresh and had good, stock flavor. Mains to share included a breadcrumbed salmon, chicken francese, penne vodka, and a vegetable medley. The salmon and penne were standouts for flavor and execution. The chicken was thick and chewy. You can also bring your own dessert and brought-in cake will be sliced and plated.
