Katch can be lit! The manager told us that they have several different events on weekends like drag brunch, celebrity night etc...My friends and I ate dinner outside, it was breezy, nice, cool and not crowded at the time which made it perfect at the time. The drinks were really good and my Surf and Turf meal with shrimp, steak and fries was delish. I'll be eating here again, how can I not, when the atmosphere was pleasant, friendly staff, nice people to talk to and I felt welcomed. If I wasn't for work, we would've stayed longer and had a fourth drink all around. Fantastic restaurant!

This is my regular Astoria hangout! Katch is a wonderfully balanced experience: food, drinks, service, atmosphere, events. It is a key Astoria brunch destination, and the staff are completely understanding of everyone's needs. Whenever I meet up with friends in Astoria, I suggest we go here, and all of my friends have enjoyed going here with me. (I've been telling everyone how wonderful this place is; I regret nothing.) It is THE Astoria brunch spot. So, really, go to Katch!! Best brunch and drinks in Astoria, and completely gay-friendly (But really, what is brunch without The Gays? Besides a failure.).

My wife and I decided to throw a Happily Ever After Party at Katch to celebrate our new marriage with our friends and family. Roseann (aka Mrs. Katch) was very communicative and helpful throughout the whole party-planning process and helped to guide us through what can be an overwhelming ordeal. She was on top of everything and even allowed us to have our party inside their venue when the forecast changed to heavy rain a few days before our party. Overall, we were more than satisfied with the food and service provided, and we're grateful to Katch for helping us throw a memorable party for all of our guests.

Hosted a bridal shower in the back! Space is absolutely beautiful and the venue is very reasonable. The event was handled professionally. We were allowed to come in 1 hour before the event to decorate. Bride to be enjoyed her day and her photos were flawless.

Went there last night for a trivia night! Had a lot of fun! The fries were alright but the avocado sandwich and it was delicious! Great ambiance! The staff are also very attentive and friendly!

I went during a Brazilian party, the music was great. The people were super welcoming and the server were fast. The price of alcohol was reasonable. The bartender went out of their way to attend us and even tho we don't have a table let us get food and found us while we were moving through the bar to deliver our food.

This is a fairly large location that can host few small events in parallel. Good amount of seating, and fortunately it wasn't loud for a weekday evening. I assume this place can get busy over the weekends. There is a parking garage right next to it, though Astoria has decent amount of street parking within walking distance.

We had our daughters first birthday on a Sunday. After months of searching I came across Katch via a mom’s Facebook group and am so happy I did. Working with Roseann and Catherine was such a pleasure. The food and drink options were plentiful but what really got me was the space and the people. We reserved the tented space in the back and we’re so worried about the weather for December but it was perfect. The heaters on the ceiling were warm and toasty and everyone was comfortable. We did pitchers of beer and towers of the margaritas and Katch punch. My favorite was the coquito we were able to serve our guests. Everyone was raving about the space and the service. So happy I found a place that I could trust for my future events! Highly recommend Katch Astoria for your next private event!!

it was raining and windy, so although we had reservations outside, it was colder than was expected. the worst part of it was that the roof was leaking in most areas even the center of the room and the heat lamps were not installed. they couldn't move us indoors because of other reservations and we were a large party. we were seriously considering leaving but the staff really put in a lot of effort to make it us feel better. staff were exceptional but would not recommend going on a cold rainy day with outdoor seating.

My fiance and I had our engagement party at Katch and it was the best experience all around. The staff made us feel so comfortable given all the restrictions and safety precautions. The staff also made sure that our party felt private with a barrier of tropical plants surrounding our tables. The waitstaff was so attentive to our 30 guests the entire day and were so great with communicating with my fiance and I to ensure we had everything we needed. The cherry on top was the surprise champagne toast! All in all, we would book Katch for a private event again in a heart beat. They are so great at what they do!

Theres only Street parking around here and depending on what time you arrive or what event you come here for it will be very difficult to find a spot, so I would say, just take a taxi here or take the train it is just a block away from the bar. The place is pretty spacious and they have a back yard with plenty of seats and TVs as well. The service is pretty friendly and the staff is pretty lively. They currently have a brunch menu and a bottomless deal for a good price and you get to drink as much as u can for 2 hours. The only problem we had is that during the pandemic they have very limited amounts of staff so they got pretty busy, but they tried their best! We almost didnt get enough drinks during our brunch hours but the owners were super nice and made sure to extend our brunch as they were short staffed! and the wait staff was super nice to move our sitting when we were getting cold sitting outside. HANGOVER BURGER- I had they burger and I must say this was a pretty good burger! I would have it again in a heartbeat! perfect taste and fresh ingredients! there isn't much I can say about burgers as we all know what they should look and taste like but I can safely say this was a pretty nice burger that I would definitely come here to have it again. Overall we started the day kind of frustrated with the staff being so busy and our drinks taking so long but in the end of the day the staff was awesome and the owners made sure to make it right by us! I would definitely come back and recommend the place to my friends.

The service was great, the drinks were nice (wink, wink) and the food not bad. I did not order anything crazy, it was a Cesar salad with buffalo wings. The restaurant first day back since covid so the menu was kept simple. The backyard is very nice and spacious.

Came here with friends to watch the basketball game and we enjoy every moment. This place is wonderful the food is excellent and delicious. The staffs are excited and helpful. Atmosphere feels like a sports bar and usually always crowded. Overall great bar/restaurant will be coming back soon.

Katch Astoria goes above and beyond. I had my event at Katch, we reserved the entire space and everything I wanted, disclosed and discussed upon were followed through with. We were sent a contract, and banquet event order with all the details of our event prior to the day of. Roseann is SO WONDERFUL to work with. I am so happy we chose Katch, they are true professionals in their parties and events, and made sure my party went great. Host your party here, best in Astoria and best in New York City.

I held an event at Katch Astoria for my daughters first birthday in the backyard in early July 2019. I have to say the event went without a hitch. Roseann was so helpful and accommodating when planning this party with me, tailoring to my needs or wants. There is also a parking garage next door that I was able to use for all my guests which was extremely helpful. The backyard is spacious and the decor on its own is lovely. I was able to add any decor I liked to turn the backyard into a beautiful pink rose garden oasis for my daughters birthday. The staff was top notch, they helped me with all my needs from set up to breakdown to helping my guests get situated. I had approximately 90 guests including young children. I was able to set up a section for the kids with there own entertainment. It was an extremely hot day and potential for heavy storms, Roseann and her staff were kind enough to set up some indoor space for my guests to take a break from the heat. I had access to the music and the food was very good. I was able to order a specific wine brand since they didn't carry the brand I preferred. We received lots of compliments, from the food to the space. I highly recommend using Katch for your private events. I went searching for many venues prior to booking here and this was the most accommodating space. The staff is exceptional!!!! Even my guests noticed how helpful the staff was in running my event. I couldn't recommend this space enough!

Came here for an end of school year party. Staff are friendly and attentive to your needs. I like the place decor and set up. Many large size TV's for your viewing pleasure. It mostly caters to sports events. Which I don't have a problem with anyway. They have a long bar and across from it, there are some booth's and a lot of sitting area and tables. They also have an outdoor sitting area as well with picnic tables. The food was ok but could have been better. The wings were some of my favorite. The sliders were a bit on the dry side. Chicken tacos needed more flavor. Pasta was a little over done. I will give them another try in hopes for better results with the food taste. That's why I gave them 4 stars. They offer a variety of beer's to choose from. I had a good time with friends and coworkers, so we did enjoy the location. All in all, I will give it another try and come back. I really give them a 4 1/2 star rating for my first time.

I first visited Katch in July 2018 because my good friend was hosting his wife's baby shower in their outdoor space. Not only was it beautiful and spacious, the staff there was extremely accommodating. The brunch buffet they served was delicious and fresh. I had just started sharing the news of my pregnancy around that time and was starting to look at venues to host my own baby shower. Fast forward to mid August, I reached out to Katch's manager to see if they could handle my guest list of 45-50 people. Catherine, the manager, was so helpful and shared a few options with me which were very cost effective. My husband and I had our baby shower at Katch Astoria on 9/15/18. It was beautiful and our guests had so much fun. The brunch spread was amazing- eggs Benedict, steak & eggs, avocado toast, chicken & waffles (huge hit), herb roasted potatoes, and bacon. Yum! We also had bottles of champagne for our guests with the option to make mimosas. We also had a few more kids than we originally anticipated but the staff was quick to offer some soda and juices for them. Everyone left happy. My father-in-law also wanted to make a speech, which was a little unexpected, but the staff quickly provided him with a microphone and by lowering the music in our section. That meant a lot to us. I would highly recommend Katch as a party venue! Food, drinks, space, and service- Katch has it all!

Been going to Katch for years. Still holds up and never disappoints. Their outdoor area is my favorite and probably the main reason why i go. Its cozy and quaint. It can get busy but during the week, its more low key if that's what you're looking for. Service is always good though. Bathrooms clean.

Decent sized menu with usual sports bar food. All the staff and especially our waiter was super nice. We ordered cocktails, nachos, and wings and everything was delicious. We went to watch a fight, and there are so many tvs visible from basically anywhere you sit. Great place!

First of all guys you need to update Google my business. I clicked on menu and ordered $11 wings that were ... $16 for 7. Amateur stuff guys come on. This happened bc you don't have menus available at the bar. Easily avoidable. Add in slow service and high prices it's just not the same place anymore. That said if you're standing at the bar you can see about 15-18 tvs simultaneously which is great.

Family owned restaurant, the owners and staff are friendly and welcoming they have deals and specials during the week. They host things with the community and small businesses in the area.They also have packages for private events. I recently celebrated my birthday there and they made sure me and my guests were well taken care of. I love coming here such good vibes ❤️

Inexperienced waiter. Food was average. Drinks were terrible. The tables were tight to the bar so my girlfriend and I kept getting bumped and the stool chairs were not comfortable. Wings were the highlight.

I don't appreciate getting my appetizer at the same time that I get my main course. Is that petty? Maybe. I had to wait too long for my food. The atmosphere is nice, the bartenders are great, and the food was okay. However, the same order at Applebee's would have been $20 or maybe $30 less.

I'm honestly never impressed by Katch. The food is ok... The service is sub par... The drinks are strong but that's about it. And actually I had a really disappointing experience last night. They hosted trivia, which is normally a really fun thing, but - and I was unaware of this until the very end - they don't offer any prizes, or rewards or incentives, etc. I actually tied for first... Have you ever heard of such a thing? Normally in trivia when there's a tie for first there's a tiebreaker (one could put this on the trivia company, but since there are no prizes, what's the point in a tiebreaker?). I do not blame the trivia company, I've actually done trivia through their company multiple times and I've enjoyed it every time. This falls on Katch. Very lackluster experience, for trivia and otherwise.

Visited for the Ugly Sweater Brunch with two amazing hosts: drag queens Privilege and Frida. The food was pretty good and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Getting our check took asking three different people and a long long time with no expectation set by either of the staff, take it into account if you have to be somewhere after.

I love this place. They always host the best games and atmosphere is great. owners are always making sure things are working great. When it comes to the food i will say i have to pass. Wings are overpriced for what it is And so are the fries etc. So i will only go for the drinks and be hungry inside. That just how i feel about their menue. And for that reason i give them 4 stars. Still #1 place to watch the games

Katch is a fine sports bar. The staff is always friendly and helpful and food and drinks are yummy. I have never had a bad experience here but the bills always feels just a bit too high for the experience. Nevertheless, I have returned several times for holiday fun and NFL games.

Food was amazing but the real one was their server Mohammad or Mo. He was alone when we came for Father’s Day around 8-ish but he managed to make our dine in experience amazing with constant visits to our table just to make sure we’re okay. Other than that, we really enjoyed our food too. Definitely coming back. P.S. Has sports bar vibe and they have tons of TVs to watch.

It's a fun atmosphere, in the outside patio area, of the bar. Went for a UFC fight showing - the service was a bit slow and the drinks originally were not good, but we had an amazing server who fixed our drinks and became more attentive. The shots and wings I tried were great! Would come back.

An amazing place! My family & I threw A graduation party for my brother in law in which we had an amazing banquet private event outside. The food was amazing as well as the staff! Pros: awesome trivia night, great atmosphere, great mule drinks and good nachos. Probably a great place to watch a sports game! Staff was all very nice and attentive. Cons: waiter was nice and helpful but almost too helpful which ended up confusing us on what we wanted? Mojitos were NOT mojitos, rather minty sprite basically. Worth a shot especially if it's a trivia night- just don't get a mojito.

Their wings are delicious. Their chicken quality is exceptional. But more than that, the owners are such great people. It's a family owned bar and it really means so much to me to go to an establishment where the owners are sweet and kind and gracious. They also are very involved in the community and I love the atmosphere in this place... At the end or the day, everyone has drinks, but you wanna go where you feel welcomed.

It's wonderful you can order both from the brunch or the regular menu. I couldn't find a bottomless drink I enjoyed. The margarita was water, the bellini was quite awful, the mimosa was doable. They were very good about refills. Our appetizer came out at the same time as our food despite being ordered about 15 minutes before we ordered our entree. My boyfriend's steak came out raw, when we send it back it came out over done. They made an announcement saying that if you post a picture there you would get 10% off. I approached my waitress on how I could redeem that she said she'd DM me, no DM was received. Guess I don't really want to go back anyway. If you're looking for a bottomless place in Astoria Shady Lady has this place beat in everyway.

If I had to describe this place in one word, I would say amazing. We had such a great time and the food was so delicious. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything came out as ordered and you tell it was made with pride. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our every neeed. We were a party of 10, there was plenty of space. Throughout the meal all of our friends and family were raving about how good everything was.

Great Sports Bar. They had over 40 beers on tap. The snack are top notch with a very nice outdoor space with tables. Most of the staff was very nice too. I would recommended this place to any of my friends. I didn't give it 5 stars because I really don't like when a staff member is stupid or a jerk. My friends actually had their sons graduation party in the Katch outside space Sunday. This is also a family restaurant so kids can eat there. I brought the Cake & a medium bag of potato chips. The lady in charge there told me I was not allowed to have brought outside food there. So she took the bag of potato chips away which some of the kids wanted. My GOD.!!! Its only a 3 dollar bag of chips ! Why make such a big deal about that. Thank God they at least let us keep the cake 🍰. I felt so bad about the whole thing. Rules should not be written in stone & you have to have alittle common sense when dealing with a large group of good paying customers. Some people have no business sense & she lost from me a very good tip for a 3 dollar bag of chips. I don't pay for attitude, as it was, the party was to start at 2p.m. but wasn't ready until 3 p.m. so you would think she would have cut us alittle slack because they were so late with their own set up (nothing was ready) That's were her attention should have been not giving me a hard time.

Went for a convention. Amazing beer selection. Food for the convention was premade. Pretzel had good flavor but was hard. If had gone during normal hours and gotten it fresh it would probably have been amazing. Crowded for the convention, but seems like a good size normally. Indoor and outdoor areas with seating and standing.

We held a HS reunion at Katch a few days ago. They have a large room in the back, big enough for 50 ppl comfortably, that can be reserved with just a $100 deposit and a $500 total revenue guarantee, including food and beverages. The wings, sliders, and pizza were all great, and are available in platters. They set up a bar inside the room for us as well, and that was a really nice touch.

Great spot, great food, great drinks, and great people. We found out about this place because they were handing out free Mac and cheese by the subway on a cold day. Lenice our server took great care of us, made sure our food was delivered fast and our drinks were refilled. Will the GM was the best. My girlfriend tore her pants on a chair and he offered to pay to replace the pants. I’ve been to a lot of bars and met a lot of great owners and GMs, but I was shocked to see someone go the extra mile like that.

It was amazing to host a dinner party at Katch Astoria. The Owner, Bill and his family blew me away by the service they provided. They went above and beyond to make the dinner pleasantly successful. The outdoor atmosphere was beautiful, could not picked a better place. I was pleased and happy. Really, really nice! And the FOOD was absolutely delicious; had several different options of appetizers and meals served. All my guests enjoyed his or her meals and drinks. And, Oh…My…Goodness…, THE FLAN…what a HIT, SO GOOD, seconds were served. Thank you for making me feel special. I will certainly host another event at Katch and until then, I will definitely find my way back to dine as a regular customer. THANK YOU VERY MUCH MR. KATCH for making it a special dinner.

A really nice openly designed space with a decent menu and wonderful service! Came here for trivia night and had a great experience. The staff was very attentive and all the food came out on time and as expected. Overall a nice neighborhood spot to catchup with friends!

Big space, great for groups. The bartender was super nice and fast. The chicken wings are a must, they came a variety of spicy and size options. They have a huge selection of beers and the music is fun! The mac and cheese and the greek salad are really good.

I live somewhat nearby, but it's a great spot for anyone. Fridays they have power hour from 8-10 = half price beers. That means amazing beers for $2.50-$5, depending, and the selection is massive. Food is awesome, tons of TV's (and they'll change the channel for you), and the staff is really cool. Back porch is awesome during the warmer months.

First time at Katch (a friend made a reservation for a table of 8) so we could watch the Garcia and Spence fight and the place itself was pretty good... the only issue I had was that they didn't have Angry Orched (which for a beer garden means they definitely lacked). There are a bunch of TVs to watch clearly from and the ladies bathroom has 2 toilets. All in all, we had a pretty good time. Will I be back? Maybe if it's the only place left. Aside from that, there isn't anything special.

I hosted my wife's baby shower brunch with 29 guests in the outdoor garden at Katch in June of 2018. Me being a guy, I had no idea what I was doing besides buying decorations and making sure everyone was fed and happy. Bill, Roseann and their staff were wonderful, they helped me set up the decorations, set up extra tables for gifts and cake and made sure everything went smoothly throughout the event. Needless to say the baby shower was wonderful, everyone commented on how much they enjoyed the food (we had a buffet brunch) and we were allowed to stay well past the initial 2 hours we agreed to (till almost 4 and a half hours). Katch is very well run and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, I would definitely recommend for parties and events!

I just had my 30th birthday party at Katch and it was amazing. The staff was incredible and dedicated to making sure all my guests had a blast, which they all told me they did. There's a cool outdoor space in the back that's covered so you have the feeling of being outside but not directly in the heat (great for a summer afternoon party). Excellent beer selection and a terrific catering menu as well. The sliders and penne a la vodka were delicious. They even gave us a bottle of champagne on the house to cap off an amazing event. I highly recommend this spot for your next party of event. You won't be disappointed.

Great place to watch major sporting events in Astoria. If you're a football fan, this is the place to go. Every Sunday their 20+ flat screens are more than enough to provide every single game. Food is usually pretty good, but they seem to change kitchen staff often. Huge beer selection, with lots of interesting choices. A+ to management-they're always very friendly and accommodating.

My favorite spot in Astoria love the owners, staff, and menu. Always feel welcome and like at home (thanks to Rosanne) the most caring and giving people that make sure that even during covid your well being comes before their business. Came here yesterday for a Warren meetup and was here for over 2 hrs. I had never been here before. Unfornately our group met during a football came so place was packed and very very loud. Service was not good. I gave the waitress who was serving our tables my drink order, and 20 mins later it still never came. When she finally came back by I asked her about my order and she had no clue. She hadn't written it down. Her excuse was she didn't have my card on hand to show a tab. So I cancelled it. Next time I'll order at the bar.

Nothing to complain about here. Good beer selection, plenty of space inside and outside in the back, tons of screens to watch any game you could want, fast service. The location is good and parking is easy on most nights. When it's not a big playoff game, you can find a a seat anywhere and get some good beer and decent food.

I like this place a lot bc it's close to my apt and is really the only true sports bar in the area. I know they have a new chef with an updated entree menu that's supposed to be very good, but the bar food still leaves a lot to be desired. That being said, this is my go to Monday night spot bc of their 20 cent wings special. Also, the wings here are bomb... Really really good. They have lots of different beers on tap, although they do tend to run out of popular beers quite a bit. But they carry a lot of local brews, which I love... Can't get enough single cut :) Overall, katch is a solid spot to go and watch a game and have a few beers.

Nice sized bar/lounge. I came here for a specific event but it looks like on a regular day this place would have good service. There were about 10-15 ppl working the bar (its a long bar) so you wouldnt have to worry about waiting too long to flag down a bartender Theres a back "outdoor" area. Half of it has a roof and the other half is open sky. There were a few smokers back here so I'm assuming its considered an outdoor area. They have patio swings, a jumbo Connect Four game, a jumbo Jenga and other games you can play. There are TVs all over so if multiple games are on then you can watch it all The lobster Mac n Cheese was great!

There’s adult games that are really HUGE size lol they had beer pong, bean bags, checkers and the most popular one was Jinga!! The place wasn’t packed which was great...you actually had space to dance and walk around.. chat and meet people... the food was really good and the drinks were okay but for some reason they Give you half a glass 🥃 instead of a whole full glass... I gave 4 ⭐️ stars because there’s no parking lot in the area.. only street parking so your best move is take a UBER!! I went here for Sunday football because of how many TV's they had. I like watching as many of the games as I can. I requested a place where there were a lot of TV's and the host sarcastically said, "Well we have 64+ TVs, is that enough," before seating me in the one spot that had limited access to just one tv (there was a Christmas tree blocking part of it). Other than the whole reason I went there, the service was solid and the wings were subpar.
