I had my wedding in this amazing place, we took some beautiful photos, I love how they decorated my cake . it is a bit expensive and at first it seems like it is worth it. I left very upset because They gave me dirty tablecloths + they charged me $250 tips for the waiter + $250 for the bartender + $250 for a supposed organizer who was supposed to help us so that everything went well at the party, I had no problem with everything they charged me until I realized that I simply paid for a service that I did not receive because the party was a buffet and the only thing the waiters had to do was pick up the plates from the table and they did not do that, I also asked them to please provide dessert to the guests and they just ignored me! … the supposed organizer did nothing but stress me all night, my party was over at 11 and from 8 she was already asking me to cut the cake, telling me that we had to go. They served us a salted fish that no one could eat and we had to pay for the fish anyway. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM 5 STARS IF THE STAFF HAD BEEN PROFESSIONAL AND ATtENTIVE !

Place is nice. It's ok, they should renovate it. The whole thing. And they need valet. Food was good. They should keep the doors closed when all and any the party is taking place. Keep the doors closed at all times. For privacy, to eliminate noise when people are talking.

The 2023 New Year's party was great, so to say. Everything was ok untill DJ Luis took the floor. The music was so loud, it hurt and he only catered to the latino audiences without any shame. There were three generations of audiences there of every background you can imagine. Never again!

on 05.06.18 my wife and i attended the New York public library local 1930 50th year anniversary celebration here. the place was nice. it could use a little modernization, but it was still a very nice place. the food was good, the service was excellent. I must have been sitting right next to the kitchen or the wait staff really liked me because they kept bring me out ordourves. the bartenders made really hood drinks. not too strong. not too sweet. the plates and silverware was a little old and should be updated. the parking was free, but the parking lot was in bad shape. lots of potholes and uneven ground. this place has the potential to be a five star venue. nice and easy to get to from the Bronx at least.

After my wedding, & daughters 21st Birthday & college graduation celebration, this place has always been my families #1 choice or venues but after the pandemic and new management things just aren’t the same. Over priced and less products & services. My husband and I were a bit disappointed after my aunts 50th the open bar was the best! However in the middle of July it felt like a sauna, after many complaints of no AC! Then after attending my nieces Sweet 16 in Dec the service was very mediocre and the bartender wasn’t as good as the one in July. Hopefully things will improve and they’ll bring back the photo studio! We have 3 years to plan our daughters Sweet 16 and our 25th yr anniversary seriously wish they improve!

Loved their services. We host a surprise 50th Bday party for my mom and all staff went beyond to play part of this surprise party. Don't know all their names, but Jose Perez is the best!!!! They helped us, even though we planned it within two weeks. I will highly recommend this place. The only thing is, I hope they let us party after 1am. But overall great service and a beautiful/elegant place for any party occasion. LOVE IT!!!

Attended a wedding Anniversary gathering & found it rather nice & location was great! JUST ACROSS THE BRIDGE INTO QUEENS from the BX. A 15min ride no rush at all getting there. That 1st rm to the right was just perfect & very close to restrooms which were outside the door. Room had AC was kool & area spacious...Covid is still here

Beautiful place if you need to hold an event like a wedding, sweet 16 or a milestone celebration. 2 things.. First, cellphone service is HORRIBLE. Don't try to go live or zoom your special occasion. Secondly, the women's bathroom was in desperate need of an attendant or an occasional spruce up. I know.. it's the bathroom. But for a bathroom at an event hall such as this, it should not be equivalent to a bathroom at your local Target

Just very catering hall. Had a great time and they DO a cocktail hour. The dinner ordinary no culinary artist in residence. Thinking better a 4 hour cocktail party and skip doing a sit down dinner. Just have seating at small tables and rock the dance floor. The staff is wonderful, your guest will appreciate the bartenders and very efficient and friendly wait staff.

Decor is old. Staff is kind of unfriendly, except for Ike (the owner). Ike it's very warm, friendly, and helpful. Good food and nice spacing between tables & dance floor. Catering prices are reasonable. But if bright, cheery, modern surroundings are important to you, you're better off looking elsewhere.

I went to a friend's wedding reception and was so wonderful. Astoria World Manor is a great place to hold receptions, balls, or even birthday parties. It was spacious but quite comfortable. The service was spot on and the service staff nice and on top of everything. What I liked the most about this place was how easy it was to socialize with others. I'm usually shy around people especially in formal events but I felt so relaxed and had a great time. Definitely recommend this place for any special celebrations :)

The food was good. The interior, needs some restoration. Not an update. I love the style of these old banquet halls. The glamour, the luxurious decor, the elegant waitstaff, the delicious food. I hope that the management finds a restoration specialist who can recreate this elegant decor.

I had my baby shower party here yesterday and everything was PERFECT!!!!!! Kevin the manager is amazing and had listened to exactly what we wanted for our party!! The staff was wonderful!!!!! The place was immaculately clean!!!! The food was amazing!!!! We also loved our cake, popcorn machine, chocolate fountain, cotton candy, the centerpieces, and the magician!!!! The maitre'd was the sweetest woman EVER!!!! She helped me with whatever I needed. And the entire Astoria Manor staff was just the kindest and most helpful people and extremely great!!!!! This place is AMAZING!!!!

Had my daughter's Sweet 15, 4.15.17 and it was all last minute. with 6 weeks to plan this event for my daughter I didn't need additional stress. Juan worked with me and my budget, and it was beautiful, their team catered to my request and were extremely professional. There was an abundance of food and it was all delicious from what my family said. My daughter loved it and that was all that mattered. Thank You Juan L. and team.

I attended a wedding Friday 7/22/2016. The place is nice, the food was good, however I observed water bugs in the dining room area as well as the bridal suite. My recommendation is to fumigate the place as it gross to see water bugs while you are eating.

Several rooms to choose from. Food is bland, not as tasty as I'd like it to be, but the servings are large and the place is clean. But they cram 11 people around each small table that's good for 5 (what else can you expect? This is Queens where real estate is expensive and hard to come by). Toilets are clean, but waiters/waitresses are not well trained. Dropped plates 3 times within a period of 3 hours. So.. one plate per hour. Free parking in the rear of building is "excellent" considering that Queens has no tolerance for cars and people who drive. Getting to the restaurant is a pain-- traffic is horrible on the highways, sidestreets, well... all the streets! I am from Jersey and would still prefer a catering place in Jersey where parking is ample and the streets are not as horrible as Queens.

Went here for a Quinceañera the outside and inside of this place e is nice and they have many rooms to accommodate different party sizes. However, the food was okay nothing great and the soda was flat. The service was good, everyone was nice which helped the experience.

I must say Astoria World Manor is a great place to have any kind of events. I had my Sweet 16 there and it was a dream come true. My manager was Jay and he was very nice. I used the Imperial room and the lighting went just perfect with my colors. The workers were very nice to all of us. Many catering hall's don't have much to offer but they did. They had a photo booth, a candy station, and also centerpieces which we rented. This whole experience was just incredible and I was extremely happy with the outcome of it all. You must go check it out!! Thumbs up!!!

Astoria World Manor is a wonderful venue for any kind of special life event/celebration you may need to plan. It's not far from where I live, and I've had the pleasure to attend two wedding receptions for friends there. Spacious facility that is comfortably and luxuriously appointed. Wonderful for dancing, socializing or just strolling around and making conversation comfortably. Service was impeccable with serving staff being on top of each table's and guests' needs before they even knew they needed it! Food quality was top notch as well as the bar tending services. Hats off to these guys! If I ever get married again, I will consider this as a proper party location.

The Venue was alright. The food was disgusting. I believe the package that the client paid was @ $50 a plate. definitely not worth it. food was cold and the taste was horrible. the staff were great. the drinks were so and so. Would I recommend this place to anyone else. Absolutely not.

Our dance studios always have our Anniversary, Halloween and Christmas Parties here for over 9 years. Kevin, the manager, is a pleasure to work with, and so accommodating. Parking in the back is a blessing in Astoria and we always have a great time.

If you are looking for a fancy,spacious party hall, Astoria World Manor is the place to go! You can have weddings, parties, banquets and so much more here! It is absolutely gorgeous! I went to my aunt's wedding here as well as my cousin's birthday bash and their service was amazing! Their food is great too and they offer a variety of delicious options. I would go to any event being held here.

We recently were invited to a wedding in this venue and I wasn’t impressed or wowed to say the least. The location is now dated definitely need to upgrade their rooms and the bathrooms. Let’s chat about the bathrooms I believe there is only one at least one that I noticed that had some stalls but the main door to the bathroom was open giving little privacy to the women inside. As you walked in the smell of urine was overwhelming so definitely needs a deep clean on a daily basis. The floors are sticky and cracked! Major cracks on floor that makes you think of a foundation problem. The bathroom style is also very dated. Now for the actual room. The wedding was in the grand ball room. The decor definitely dated. The staff while some were very courteous some were too quiet. Very young staff. Often the staff would skip my husband or myself as far as replacing table setting or utensils. I had to get up and ask on more than two occasions. While they take your order for your food when they actually served it three different people asked what are dishes were. We were ten at the table three of us didn’t get our food until about 7-10 minutes later than everyone else. Water supply wasn’t refilled or soft drinks were refilled unless asked. I asked for chicken while my husband asked for salmon both very bland. My husband needed to add salt and lime to give it a kick. Veggies were over cooked but when you’re hungry I guess you just take it. Places were cleaned off then coffee was served it was too hot so I went to dance and when I came back the cup was gone as were my drinks. It’s the little things that stays on my mind and Hereford I’d im not impressed I will never recommend the location as such if you are looking for a budget wedding this is your place if you are ok with the above then this is your place. While I’m a perfectionist I do realize nothing will run smoothly at a wedding but the things mentioned are my biggest peeves when it comes to choosing a location for a party.

Beautiful hall and accommodations but valet parking is required. Parking lots are uneven and dark especially on a rainy night for a formal event. It is insufficient for a venue advertising up to 1000 capacity. The power system also needs to be checked to ensure stable output as a breaker tripped during a life band performance robbing attendees of valuable entertainment time.

This place has seemingly been around for a long time. It used mostly for weddings and they tend to hist severl weddings at the same time. With all the wedding and celebratory events that happen there, you would think the management woukd update the place. It is dated and becoming more so every year. Please update the decor and this run of the mill wedding hall would be five stars.

When I booked my daughters sweet 16 I really did not know what to expect, but I was blown away by the food and the courteous staff. I was very nervous as was my whole family...especially my daughter. From the beginning of the evening my daughter and her court were given a lovely VIP room for her and her court and were given food and refreshments. The buffet was amazing as promised by Jay my banquet manager. There were plenty of items to choose from and all of my guests and family raved about the food. There was a fruit carving with my daughters name "Maria" as well as an ice carving. If anyone asks me and they have I would highly recommend the Astoria World Manor.

This is a very nice catering hall. The food was great. The dinner layout, dancing and capacity was nice as well. My only problems with it is limited elevator access, and limited street parking (Astoria is a nightmare for parking spots) but otherwise, it’s perfect for most events.

This has been my 3rd event at Astoria World Manor in which i celebrated my mothers retirement/birthday. Not to sound cheap but i had gotten two parties done at the same time for the price of one. Our manager Kevin was helpful and helped us come up with concepts and the planning. We had no time to plan the event but the management staff helped us pull through. As soon as we arrived the maitre d' introduced herself and helped us throughout the night which made the night so much easier. During the party the waiters were very attentive and gave my family and friends good service. our centerpieces were amazing which we received from a company called Orchid bridal shop with their product display books at the catering hall. We enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this venue to anyone especially for the prices compared to other catering halls.

Astoria World Manor is a good banquet hall on a budget. I recently had my wedding there, and it went exactly as I expected. In a good way and a bad way. The best thing but Astoria World Manor is the price. The price is right, I know they say people spend 20000 on average for a wedding, but I live in the real world and I'd only spend that kind of money on a car or on a down payment. For 104 people, with ribbons, waiter service with buffet cocktail hour, the chapel, and no alcohol, it came out to about $7100 with tax and gratuity included. (The wedding itself was probably around $12000 in the end.) We shopped around and considering areas and convenience that was pretty darn good. Essentially, each person was $61 each after tax. So the price is right, really right. Other things I enjoyed about Astoria World Manor was the great amount of parking, the location near the Triboro, so it didn't matter if you were from Queens, Brooklyn, or upstate. A lot of reviews I read complained about the food but everyone unanimously enjoyed it. Lastly, they were not sticklers for extra wedding favors or feeding our DJ, emcee, and photographer. (A few people didn't show up but AWM didn't shake us down or anything.) Everyone also acted as professionally as possible, no one had an attitude. Now since we had the good now we have the hear the bad. The bridal suites were very dirty and very hot. After asking the managers to boost the A/C and send someone there to clean it, nothing was done. The stereo in the room was also broken as our CDs frequently skipped as we were playing music. Another strike against the place was the fact that rehearsals are only available from Monday through Thursday, meaning a rehearsal is only possible if no one from your family or party is from out of town. Lastly, everything seemed to run kind of chaotically. The manager who 'sold' the wedding to us said they made gluten/casein free accommodations, however the chefs I spoke to seemed to have little knowledge on these food sensitivities/allergies. (Luckily, there were no issues.) Also, the gluten-free wedding cake we brought in wasn't brought out to me until twenty-five minutes before the wedding was over. The regular wedding cake was also deceptively small, I heard it tasted good but my wife wasn't impressed. Also, there was shellfish and allegedly ham (I didn't personally see that because I couldn't attend the cocktail hour due to being the groom) served even though we instructed those foods to not be served due to religious reasons. They weren't incompetent but they were not on point, not at all. Overall, you get what you pay for. Since I'm not a wedding person, I was happy with the savings. Best of all, most of my guests said they had a great time, some of them saying it's the best wedding they ever went to. So what if they were some blemishes? My guests were really happy, so in the end I have no regrets about having my wedding at Astoria World Manor. Quick review: "The Honda Civic of Weddings" 2/3 Pros: + Price + Parking + Food Cons: - Service/Accommodations - Cleanliness - Not convenient to rehearse

Food was not good. Lasagna was very dry. The fried chicken they mostly offered dark meat. The watermelon was also not at fresh. The appetizer time staff didnt offer the whole table and moved on immediately to the next! There was not much healthy food offered. There was no salad for the dinner part... DINNER WAS SERVED AT MIDNIGHT!!!!!!! WHEN ENTERING THE FRONT DOOR GENTLEMAN SAID WE HAD TO WAIT 5MINS TO GO IN....BUT THE PARTY HAD ALREADY STARTED!! THEY DIDNT HAVE THEIR INFORMATION CORRECT....... THE BARTENDER WAS VERY FRIENDLY THAT WAS THE ONLY STAFF THAT WAS PROFESSIONAL BESIDE 3 OTHER WAIT STAFF. When i was outside look at another party's seat placement announcements, a staff member approached me and rudely told me that was not for me and my party was some where else! I told her o was just admiring the display and she walked away. What the hell seriously! If you going to hire people to work in hospitality then male sure they want to be there and know how tp treat the customer and their guests. It was my first time there and last didnt like service. Just because Astoria World Manor has been there for long doesnt give them the right to start flaking on their service.

I was here for a wedding and it was pretty nice, only complaint is the clients restrooms were stinking bad, also the piano and the horse carroage makes it interesting for an extra pack of pictures, my main complaint was the clients restroom for sure i felt disturbed letting my kids using it without a family member supervision, they need to have them more neat constantly.

I celebrated my cousin's sweet sixteen at Astoria World Manor, and every detail was attended to so that she truly felt like a princess on her birthday. The Sapphire room's parquet dance floor underneath the beautiful chandelier made the room feel very regal. It comfortably fit all of our relatives and her friends, and with an attentive staff that welcomed us when we entered and made sure the catered food was to everyone's liking, I wouldn't change a thing.

Bathrooms were dirty and dilapidated with a plate / jar with the word :Tips written on a piece of paper, to put in tips with no one mending it, service was ok, drinks were good, no greeter at the door at least when I went, had to poke into other rooms to find my party.. Just not what I expected at all from how people said it used to be..

I went to one of those "Wedding Expos" here and it was a bit of a disaster. The model tripped on the runway and drinks had to be paid for, not free as advertised. As a locale, it's decent but in bad need of renovation. It's gilded and kind of overly splashy. It will serve as a wedding location, but only if you're on a budget.

One of things I have to say is the service at the Astoria World Manor is impeccable, from beginning to end. Although I had apprehensions about catering here because of online reviews like yelp I decided these reviewers aren't qualified to be the best judge of service and food. I have worked at some of the highest-end casinos in Las Vegas and I understand you get what you pay for. The price my family paid for having my brother's wedding really, realy suprised me. My banquet manager was thoughtful and honest, he encouraged me to be flexible with my dates so that I could be within our budget. I was even able to add extra's like LED lights and a chocolate fountain!....mmmm There were times that I did grow impatient during the process because I often would see other managers for payments and menus and I am a very detailed person. I was suprised that as told all of my finicky details were all covered by my wonderful Maitre D'. The food was so delicious and service was fantastic. I am definetly booking another event for my mothers birthday and I am going to take Kevin's advice and book Sunday...its cheaper!
