Uncommon Camelia and Maria Gomila went above and beyond to ensure that my now Husband, Anthony, and I had the best day. Words can’t explain how organized, timely, and efficient this experience has been. We got married in Slidell and were able to plan everything from Los Angeles. Maria, our planner, has become a friend throughout this whole process. As a business owner, I understand customer service and how important it is to have customer feedback. Don’t think twice about using Uncommon Camelia for your upcoming event.

We hired Uncommon Camellia for coordination services & I could not be happier with this decision! Our wedding was 12/10/22 in New Orleans and it would not have been possible without Ashley Brien! Ashley went above and beyond to ensure that we & our guests had the best time at our wedding. Thanks to Ashley, we were able to enjoy our wedding stress free as she handled all the small details (along with Krystle who was assisting on the day of!) Ashley was organized, prompt, and was very good at communication leading up to our wedding & throughout the wedding day. She confirmed vendors, communicated with them about start times/details of time line, & provided us with great recommendations for transportation & rentals! She was also so helpful in giving suggestions/input to help the flow of the night run smoothly and her timeline was very impressive (color coded, detailed, and easy to follow). Additionally, she was personable, calm, and reassuring throughout the whole process. She helped lead our rehearsal, set up the venue with our items, and even delivered our luggage to our hotel room + returned all our items from ceremony/reception to our room so we did not have to worry about a thing. My bridesmaids, family, and guests all had positive things to say about uncommon camellia and were impressed by how much they did for us. I would recommend them to anyone! Thank yall for everything!

Naomi and Adrienne were nothing short of perfection for our wedding on 4/2/22! I would 100% recommend Uncommon Camellia to anyone and everyone - especially anyone planning a New Orleans wedding from out of town (we live in Chicago). We chose the month-of-coordination package and were originally assigned to work with Tori, but after a family conflict on Tori's end we were connected with Naomi. While I'm sure Tori would have been just as good, I am so grateful Naomi came into our lives. Naomi's organization skills, calm demeanor and infectious energy make her the perfect planner. The best part of working with Uncommon Camellia is the insanely detailed day-of itinerary they put together for the bridal party and vendors. However, Naomi/Adrienne went above and beyond. We had some last minute logistical changes and Naomi handled with grace (while keeping me calm as I tend to stress/spiral) and she helped get the dance party started during our reception (see pic for proof!). We were lucky enough to have Adrienne, the company founder, as our assistant coordinator who literally pulled out a needle and thread to sew my dress/bustle when it broke before the first dances. They both made sure I had no stress leading up to or on the day of our wedding and I would hire them again in an instant!!

It has been a month since the wedding and the refrain from everyone has been - again and again - how beautiful the team at Uncommon Camellia made things and how everything simply flowed. Seriously, our families have steered conversations back to the wedding and are still amazed at how smoothly our ceremony went. There were several last-second things that needed to be attended. Dust/stray hairs on coat. Shoelaces evenly matched for photos. Scheduling photos with individual family members. Plating of dinner and refilling glasses. Every time I turned my head, the team at UC were there - Amelie, Tori, Jenny were like ninjas, silent but effective. As someone who attends to detail in my own life and wanting to be on point with every aesthetic for my "big day", I felt like there was nothing to be done. Amelie was already there and when my neuroses necessitated a tweak to lighting or sound or stray threads, she was already there with scissors, with a bottle, with a gesture to get it done. Over the holidays, my bride and I visited with the majority of our wedding guests again and all we can say is how special our day was because of each and every person who was there. Thank you, UC! We were lucky enough to be paired with Brianne Dees and her assistant Bre. We had a kick off meeting with Brianne a little under a year out and we had no idea how lucky we were to be matched with her. We booked our contract and were ready to roll with her behind us! Brianne took every piece of information about our wedding and put it all together to help us create our most perfect day. The timeline alone was super impressive and she was so on it, I knew our wedding was in good hands with her! She was super responsive and honestly reminded us of a few things that slipped our minds in the weeks leading up. I truly can’t say enough positive things about her and the team that surrounds them. We really appreciate you Brianne, thank you for helping make our wedding day absolutely perfect!

You would be literally crazy to have a wedding in NOLA and not hire these ladies. I seriously cannot say enough good things about Uncommon Camellia. Our lead coordinator, Amelie, helped me every step of the way while planning our wedding from New Jersey (and sight unseen due to difficulties traveling during COVID). Her amazing organization and correspondence with our vendors allowed me to actually enjoy and relax in the weeks leading up to our big day. Amèlie, Amber, and Alexis made our wedding absolutely seamless and stress-free. We felt so supported and catered to all night long. They were always one step ahead and ready for anything that came up. They gave us direction all night during the dances, toasts, cake-cutting etc. which was vital to getting through such an overwhelming night. The band almost played the wrong song for our last dance and all I had to do was make eye contact with Amèlie and she immediately talked to the lead singer to correct it, and that dance ended up being the most special moment of the night. We credit the perfection of our wedding day 100% to these ladies- we couldn’t have done it without them. Amèlie became part of our family this weekend and I have SO much appreciation for her and all of UC. Do NOT even try doing your wedding without them!!

We chose to do a destination wedding in New Orleans for our friends and family. Planning a wedding from a far has its challenges but in doing all our research and talking to vendors we’d pretty much had everything in motion by the time we came to Uncommon Camellia. We knew we needed a month of coordinator that would bring all the vendors & logistics together and that’s exactly what Laura did. She was so easy to talk to, bounce ideas off of, and always kept the stress level low. Not to mention the incredible day of timeline they put together. Our wedding was smooth and seamless with all the moving parts falling in to place perfectly, we never had to worry about a single planning detail on our day. If you’re detail oriented and managed to plan most of your wedding but you want to be hands off on your day, I’d recommend going with the Uncommon Camellia team.

Uncommon Camellia gets the MVV award - most valuable vendor! Our wedding was absolutely perfect and I owe it all to Lizzie and Kaycie. We hired Uncommon Camellia as our day-of coordinator for our 10/8 wedding, and I cannot stress enough that Lizzie was more than a vendor. She made us feel like we had a friend taking care of us. I am a type-A bride and even I was able to chill and have fun the entire wedding day because I knew I could trust Lizzie to manage everything. And that she did! My family raves about her still - her organization, her poise, and her hard work were noticed by all. Lizzie and Kaycie were the definition of 'going above and beyond'.

I cannot recommend Uncommon Camellia (and in particular, Alexis) enough! Alexis was our coordinator for our wedding, and she handled everything we needed, plus all the things that we forgot. She was always very responsive and available (even though she was on vacation for Christmas and New Years in the weeks leading up to our wedding day!). She made great suggestions on how to best structure the ceremony and reception, coordinated with ALL our vendors before and after, and brought all the important things from the wedding back to the hotel we were staying at (cards, flowers, guest book, etc.!). She put together detailed timelines for everyone in the wedding party + parents and grandparents; It was so helpful to be able to reference our timeline for the day of - there's so much going on that being able to check to see what time we needed to be where relieved a TON of stress. Kaycie was our assistant coordinator for day-of, and it felt like she knew every possible detail for the day even though we hadn't met before! Both Alexis and Kaycie made the day flow by without any issue, kept us on schedule, and helped our photographer with the MANY formal pictures we took before the ceremony. Both of them went above and beyond (even running down the street to get the groom some coffee before the reception). Alexis and Kaycie with Uncommon Camellia could not have been a better fit for us, and we are so thankful for all of their help.

Lizzie from Uncommon Camellia was our Day-Of Coordinator, but worked tirelessly for weeks to ensure every part of our vision went perfectly. She answered all of our questions, directed our ceremony rehearsal and even scored us a few lagniappes from different vendors. She came in clutch in the final days when the weather turned and we had to secure a rare clear-top tent for our ceremony venue!! Having UC on our team made the stress of a huge New Orleans wedding manageable and everything went exactly as we had dreamed. You should definitely book with them for help with your BIG DAY!

I'm organized and a planner by nature. So when I got engaged I didn't think I needed a coordinator except for the fact that I didn't want my mom and dad stressed on the big day. From my first meeting with Ashley Brien I knew I made the right choice to work a coordinator fee in to my budget. Ashley was organized, insightful and used her experience to help shape the wedding experience my now husband and I wanted. She solved vendor issues, arranged tablescapes and is a logistical extraordinaire. But the best thing about her is I could feel that she was in our corner and truly cared about our happiness and experience. She focused on us so we could focus on enjoying ourselves. Honestly, I do not think my day would have been nearly as good if not for Ashley and her assistant Mary Grace. My bridesmaids who are already married were saying they wished they knew about her before their wedding and my parents and I kept saying, "Thank God for Ashley."

Oh man... where do I start? Words can't express how amazing my wedding day was, and it was all thanks to my Uncommon Camellia team: Laura, Amber, and Kelsey. Laura Rogan was my Lead Coordinator and she's always such a joy. She knew my venue inside and out and made sure all of the details came together. Her knowledge and experience ensured any little gaps were filled in, and I couldn't be more grateful. Amber was quick with the drinks and knew how to make sure my cup was never empty (Lord, bless her!)! She helped me cool off when I got too hot (a cool damp towel made all the difference) and fixed my hair clip when my veil got caught on my secondline umbrella and fell off. And Kelsey was fantastic! Her smile brightened any room and she made sure I always had a little something to nibble on so I didn't get too tipsy--you never would have guessed it was her first night on the job! The whole UC team is an amazing group of strong, driven, and talented women. I don't know what else to say other than: If you want your wedding day to go just right--hire them!

I booked Uncommon Camellia for my wedding in NOLA and they did not disappoint! Natalie was my coordinator and she assisted a ton with the details leading up the wedding and of course, the actual day of :) She and Brie, were great the day of the wedding, and did a good job of working with the venue staff/banquet managers. She also gave excellent recommendations for various vendors early on; she is very knowledgeable about the New Orleans wedding market and all the little nuances. My only suggestion/criticism would be for the morning of the wedding - I'm not sure if this is on Natalie or the company, but it would be helpful if the lead coordinator were more present with the bridal party (handing out bouquets, letting us know where to go/coordinating with the photographer, transportation co. etc.). I would for sure refer/hire Natalie/Uncommon Camellia again.

Natalie was a godsend! I struggle with details and planning, so I was understandably stressed leading up to our wedding. When Natalie took over, she created the perfect timeline and took care of every detail and call from that moment on. I kept joking that I was willing to give her a kidney. I had a Murphy's Law wedding with some vender issues (at no fault of Uncommon Camellia or Natalie), but everything was somehow still perfect. Listen! Book Uncommon Camellia (Nola’s absolute best) immediately and request Alexis and Reilly specifically. There isn’t a more high-strung, indecisive, last minute worried bride than me. There isn’t a more patient, passionate, and professional coordinator than Alexis: the detailed timeline, assistance with rehearsal luncheon, communication with the wedding party and vendors (getting those no longer tracking the wedding to show last minute), store runs, last minute ceremony changes, and on and on. Okay, I cannot stress this statement enough: Hiring Uncommon Camellia to do my wedding coordination / design was the best investment of my wedding. Period. My wedding would absolutely not have been the same without Laura and the rest of the Uncommon Camellia team. And yes you NEED to hire a coordinator and/or planner for your day, no matter how big or small your day is; it is my recommendation to every bride/groom/other to be for their wedding day. My only regret is not hiring the team to do full on wedding planning! But Laura went above and beyond to help me plan and design my wedding. She gave me vendor recommendations and ideas whenever I needed to brainstorm options and what might work best for our day. Even when we had last minute schedule changes due to a bridesmaid dropping out due to COVID and to bad weather in the forecast, she was with me every step of the way to make sure everything went off without a hitch. Laura made sure all vendors and our wedding party was in line for everything to happy on time and as planned. She rolled with the punches of any changes that needed to be made, and made the best of things when there were certain uncontrollables that we couldn't have factored into our planning process. Everyone talked about how Laura had everything under control to the very last detail; I didn't have to worry about anything on my day which is EXACTLY what you need to enjoy your day without worrying about logistics. You can trust that uncommon camellia has you covered (including getting you out of the venue on time / getting all of your stuff to you after!). I decided to hire Uncommon Camellia because I had already been religiously watching their YouTube series for wedding planning tips and tricks. I'm SO glad I did because my wedding was a seamless dream thanks to Lizzie and the Uncommon Camellia team. As soon as we got off the phone from our initial planning call, I immediately felt relief. Lizzie gave me so much peace from communicating with ALL my vendors, to uplifting and supportive phone calls, and even hosting some of my reception items in her home. I had an intricate wedding weekend: multiple venues, lots of transportation, and unique vendors. Lizzie and her team handled it ALL completely easing my anxiety. Of course the planning and coordination process was nothing short of perfect, but Lizzie took things a step further with little details: For example, I posted an Instagram story that referenced that I liked to use beer in my champagne flutes because champagne makes me sleepy. Guess who had beer waiting in her glass for toasting? It's the little things! To my other type-A planner brides who aren't sure if you "need" a wedding planner / coordinator, DO IT. And use Uncommon Camellia, I guarantee you won't regret it and will be able to breathe easy knowing everything is completely taken care of and have a team of people who truly care.

It is almost impossible to think of enough good things to say about the ladies at Uncommon Camellia. From start to finish, they were responsive, professional, delightful to work with, and put 200% into everything they did to make my daughter's wedding day absolutely blissful. Laura Rogan is a cheerful, fun-loving, hard worker who not only coordinated all our many vendors in a seamless way, but also offered so much extra care and advice all along the way, anticipating things I might never have thought of, and handling any small glitches calmly and in a way that left the bridal party and our families free to enjoy the day without a care. Because of her good relationships with so many of our vendors, we felt like we had a family of supportive pros working as a team for us. Since I don't live in New Orleans, I was particularly comforted knowing that Laura was on the ground handling anything that required an in-person touch or deep knowledge of New Orleans. It was her understanding of city events and traffic patterns, for example, that made it easy for the bridal party to get to and from the many places we needed to be on the big day. Ashley was responsive and generous with her time - always providing valuable vendor recommendations and general guidance. She created a detailed timeline that made it easy for every member of the wedding party (bridesmaids, groomsmen, pastor, family members) to understand their role. Lizzie is an extremely intelligent, competent, lovely young woman who was worth her weight in gold. Wow, it’s been two months and our wedding is still the talk around town! Covid-19, may have delayed our plans but, love can’t be cancelled. Our micro wedding’s vision of glitz and glam came to life with the help of Uncommon Camellia’s Alexis Nelson and Natalie Atkinson. So many guests continue to cite it as the best wedding they have ever attended - including our live stream guests! Alexis’s enthusiasm, drive, and passion for weddings made us smile and we were sold from the start to have her lead our journey from Miss to Mrs. Over the next year, we stayed in touch with sharing details and vendor suggestions. Then Covid- 19 rsvp’d to our wedding and made us rethink everything from the location to the guest list. But, have no fear, Alexis was there to give us advice and supported us as we made Plan B, Plan B-2, Plan B-3, and later just called it Plan C. Finally, the day had arrived, and it was epic!! From her organizational skills with having a detailed schedule to her absolute nailing of our vision. Everything was exactly as we had hoped, only better. There were so many small details and Alexis and Natalie found perfect ways to make everything shine. When guests arrived, they made sure that they were welcomed and greeted with a specialty cocktail to playing our engagement video to kick off the ceremony. Together, this dynamic duo handled last minute day-of decor arrangements of the reception space to ensuring we were properly serenaded by our hip-hop violinist, T- Ray. Without skipping a beat, they made sure everything felt comfortable and intentional. One of the best things about working with Alexis was her calming approach, which made meetings and vendor interactions feel fun and never stressful. People say your wedding day goes by in a flash, it did but it was memorable, and we were able to enjoy every moment. We partied like it was 1999..lol. When I met Ashley in May 2019, she was friendly, prompt, and organized; I knew without a doubt I would use UC day of wedding coordination. As a UC bride, you get so much more than just day of assistance; I handed the reins over to Ashley about six weeks before the wedding and it gave me such peace of mind leading up to the big day. Ashley and Natalie were phenomenal the day of the wedding; my family still talks about how great they were even a month later. We used Uncommon Camellia (specifically Amelia Jeanmarie) as our day of coordinator at the recommendation of our Photographer. I was getting ready to sign on with another day of coordinator when my photographer recommended UC (she said they were the best in the business and strongly recommended I check them out prior to signing with anyone else), and I am SO happy that I found them before signing on with another company. I can't imagine anyone else doing a more thorough or more perfect job than Amelia and her team. Hiring her was one the best and most important decisions surrounding my wedding day, in my opinion. Her level of organization and thoroughness is incredible. We spoke via email and on the phone a couple of months prior to the wedding and she went over the process with me. She made herself available for any questions or concerns I had during the planning process, inviting me to contact her as needed. In the couple of weeks prior to our wedding, we began communicating more and she assisted me with ensuring all of our vendors were on the same page, everyone was good on payment, confirmed everything. There was so much to do during this time and I couldn't have done it all without her. We are from out of town (NY) so having someone local to assist with stuff was particularly invaluable for us. The week of the wedding, once my fiance and I had arrived in town, we did our walkthrough with Amelia at our reception venue. She took meticulous notes to ensure that everything at the reception (decor, cakes, bars, favors, etc. etc) would be set up to our exact specifications. My bridal party and family also adored her. She was super helpful and sooo on top of her stuff but at the same time she was extremely calm, laid back, and collected at all times. She had a calming presence about her that put me at ease during the rehearsal and throughout my wedding day. The super organized timeline that she created for us was amazing and all of my bridal party referenced it throughout the day. I honestly can't say it enough, I have no idea what we would have done without her. It was so nice not to have to worry about the details (and I didn't have to delegate to a friend or family member) and we were able to enjoy every moment of our day. In addition on our wedding day she had 2 assistants with her, who were equally as friendly and helpful. They all seemed very invested in ensuring that I had the best day ever (and I DID!). Like I said, hiring Amelia and Uncommon Camelia was the single best decision I made surrounding my wedding, I think. It was worth every penny and I would highly recommend anyone who is getting married to hire a DOC (unless of course you are lucky enough to afford a full wedding planner, though personally I enjoyed doing the planning parts myself), and when choosing a DOC or wedding planner I would say do your research, ask around, and you will soon see that UC's expertise and professionalism makes them the clear choice, hands down. Hiring Amber W. as our Lead Coordinator from Uncommon Camellia was the absolute best decision I made when planning my wedding!! It allowed me the time to focus on the details and decor that I created for my wedding. I bonded with Amber quickly after realizing her cool calm nature was in sync with my easy going personality. I planned my entire wedding myself therefor in the weeks leading up to the wedding it became stressful to keep track of all of my vendors and contracts. When I first met Amelie, I could have never predicted that we'd need to reschedule our wedding and shuffle around vendors 3 times over the course of COVID-19 restrictions. After talking to a few day of coordinators offering the same services for a HUGE uplift in price, I knew Uncommon Camellia would be the one for me. I was initially assigned Heather, but after having to move my wedding from NOLA to Baton Rouge due to COVID, the company coordinated for Natalie to be my lead planner. On the day of the wedding, Adrienne and her team (Courtney and Kaylin) made sure everything looked amazing and flowed perfectly. They were always kind, helpful, and professional, but most importantly they got things done. If you asked Adrienne or anyone on her team for something, it got done. Someone in the wedding party accidentally spilled something on themselves right before the ceremony (Adrienne's team helped get a stain out) or forgot their bouquet (Adrienne's team went back to our house and picked them up for us) and when things like that came up there was no one we trusted more than Adrienne and her team to help fix it. And they did, every time, with a positive and reassuring attitude. My wife and I could not be happier with how amazing our wedding was and I guarantee Adrienne and her team played a huge part in that.
