Mary is an exceptional person and everything you would want in a wedding planner. We hired Mary to design my (pre-covid) wedding, plus month of coordinating. She is a true visionary in her endless creativity, balanced by her attention to detail and organization. When we pivoted to a backyard wedding during covid, she was hands on, nimble and an absolute asset as we navigated a hurricane and covid protocols! She can literally handle anything anyone throws at her with elegance and mastery. She's a true event pro and anyone would be lucky to have her as their event planner. Can't recommend her highly enough!!! ❤️

We were engaged pre COVid- and never changed our original planned wedding date. May 2020 was not an easy time to have a wedding. Mary was so creative and helpful in figuring out how to plan our wedding with all the COVID protocols. It was much smaller than we had originally planned - but was the wedding of our dreams!! She worked with us in creating a beautiful outdoor wedding. It was a stress free wonderful process for me because I knew everything was taken care of! I would highly recommend Spera Special Events.

I wish I could give a six star review! I hired Mary Spera of Spera Special Events to plan my destination wedding in New Orleans, LA. My husband and I live in Manhattan, so we weren't able to be on-the-ground in New Orleans for the planning of our dream wedding. Mary and her team planned the most incredible, stunning, fun, perfect wedding ever. People are still talking about our wedding almost ten years later. Mary's attention to detail, creative ideas and flawless execution surpassed our greatest expectations. In addition, Mary seamlessly digested our family extenstive "wish list" for our wedding weekend, and managed to hire the best local vendors, and still made it happen within our budget. My husband, Christian, was especially pleased. : ) Also, Mary is great to work with and is very calm under pressure. Destination wedding planning can be extra stressful. Anytime I was freaking out or indecisive about something, Mary had the uncanny ability to talk me through the options and lead me to the best decision in a timely fashion. Nothing was off the table. I cannot recommend Spera Special Events enough!

She is extremely knowledgeable about the wedding industry and partners closely with a wide variety of vendors to ensure the planning and events are as seamless and smooth as possible. Mary did an over the top job with my son’s rehearsal dinner at Hotel Peter and Paul on 11/19/21. Truly the most spectacular night ever! She coordinated everything including caterer/bar, tables/ chairs, linens,candles, flowers, band, buses and everything in between. I cannot say enough about working with Mary ( which was very easy and fun). If you’re looking for the ultimate NOLA wedding or party experience I would 100% recommend her. She has great contacts, laid back personality but extremely organized, and exceptional taste . Just look at our pictures! I give her 5 stars because it is well deserved.
