Great meeting space we attended Fan Expo 2023 here in halls I and J huge facility. Very convenient to many dining options and lots of hotels within walking distance the auditorium is spacious and has great lines of sight throughout the theater. The meeting rooms are spacious and audio is better than expected. If booking a large scale event this venue would be very high on my list to talk to. Staff were all friendly and helpful from a director in a suit to the housekeeper and security guards all over they were all easy to talk to and get what we needed.

The Ernest N Morial Convention Center is a great venue for Trade Shows, Conferences, Exhibitions and much more! I was there for the CTIA (Cellular Telecomunicacion, Internet Association) show which is the biggest Cellphone and Consumer Electronics show in USA and our experience was great. The convention center has many hotels, restaurants, and entertainment places near by; so it’s very convenient to walk around and know and experience a little bit of New Orleans. The venue has a great capacity and the facilities logistics, food and beverage services are great (you do not have to leave the center to eat and get some refreshment); we spend the entire day at the convention. If you are considering or going to an event at this venue, you will not be disappointed ;0) 100% recommended 👍

Its SO big. Many conference rooms, halls, and places to view the sessions. The Riverwalk mall is right next door. Quick to walk to many hotels and also not to hard of a walk up to French quarter. I came for a conference but it was easy to walk around and get to many great restaurants nearby. Lots of taxi and rideshare services to the airport. The conference also had live jazz as well. You will get many steps just walking from one end to the other.

TIP - eat your breakfast or lunch BEFORE arriving at the convention center. I arrived early and still had to wait in line for 20 minutes for limited options like a pretzel, a bran muffin, and a powerade; for breakfast! Also note that you need your best walking shoes. It took me 10 full minutes to walk from the entrance to the middle of the center at full pace. I didn't understand the size of the place until this morning. The concrete also makes it hard to walk on if you have no foot support in your shoes. Great Internet connectivity and restrooms at every Hall doorway. Note: there may be more than one event happening at the same time so understand which Hall you need to be at. COVID-19: the convention center uses the CLEAR mobile app, the same used at the airport, to verify immunization and negative test results.

Went to this center for the ISTE Live 2022 and it was very nice. Every thing was labeled and easy to find. The vending machines need to be refilled more often. And there are water refill stations on the top (go to 3 and go up again). A few of the bathrooms were super clean but then a few on the last day need attention. This was an international conference with thousands in attendance. The guy pictured is a worker and he needs a RAISE he was the best he was cheerful, kind, helpful, insightful, eveythubgbthus venue needed. There was another worker by the restrooms and the vaccination area I could not get a pic but he also should be on the raise list.He said to go to the restroom he needed a smile. And he would even you a joke to get one. It was a great all around venue.

Big center with lots of halls. Clean halls and restroom areas. Long way from the main entrance to the furthest halls (12-minute walk). Cold temperatures for indoors. There are only a few dining options in the center and it is a little bit from restaurants (15-minute walk)

is enormous. have to rent a scooter or bike to get from end to end . is a good way of exercising every day. is a pretty center. most of their staff are very friendly. Love the New Orleans Energy so far. nothing happened while visiting a d walking around.

Where do you begin! This is one of the biggest convention centers I have been too. Employees were all very kind and helpful throughout the whole weeks event. Grounds are kept very nice and clean. Make sure to wear comfy walking shoes, no need to wear nice shoes because you will regret it later on that evening!

The building is nice and modern. It was correctly climate-controlled, so you won't feel too hot, a drawback for many similar locations. Beware of parking advertising a certain price at the street-level, since you'll almost inevitably (finally) get into a garage, where a new sign will be posted that demands 4-10 times the price advertised at the door. $17 per day became $50 once inside, after almost an hour in line. This isn't a knock against the center itself, just a heads up for anyone looking to attend an event hosted here.

Had a great time with my boy when we went to our first Fan-Con today. Well organized event with so much to see. It was totally sensory overload for my boy, but he definitely has a great time meeting the actors!

The place is huge and sprawling, long walks along and not a simple task to get to upper levels. Everything else depends on the event that is held at this venue. Nice highlight was the row of food trucks during lunch time!

This is an awesome place for any event to be held . Plenty spacious enough with 1 million square feet of room.. just be prepared to walk or plan ahead to have some type wheels for much easier transportation.

A well organized center for large meetings. One should be ready to walk a lot as the center is very large; I had to walk 15000 steps per day! I wish there were more options for vegetarian food.

This place is huge so be prepared to walk. There are coffee shops and a few places to get something to eat while waiting for your conference. Wifi didn't seem to work on upper levels. Adjacent to a mall if you want to shop on your breaks.

Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge!!!! This is the most grand convention center I have ever visited. An entire Mile of convention!!! I was working there and had to walk the entire length, but what am awesome experience!!! So beautiful there. And the way the outside is set up to allow one to sit and enjoy the day!! And it's right by Mardi Gras World. Can't beat that!!

As a crew person/producer I've always had a good experience at the Convention Center. But once in catacombs and back hallways of the building it turns into the SECRET OF NIMH. They are super intelligent and very sneaky. A possibly unavoidable situation considering the region we live in. But its another world back there.

Nice facility. Conference rooms weren’t overly cold like other conference centers I’ve been to. But the place is massive—mainly, long and narrow so where good walking shoes if your conference is big. The catered food was good. The food for purchase was good but expensive. A lot of nearby quality hotels within walking distance as are a number of good places to eat. Next to Mardi Gras World in one end and a mall on the other. Overall a decent place for a large conference.

Large convention center in the heart of the city. Came here to watch the 71st Miss Universe this January. Lacking of ushers and security. I wish when they hold such big events, they have securities/ushers to control the people from standing on their chairs, occupying aisles, back people swarming in the front blocking people who paid $$$ for the views and safety purposes. Overall good experience but lacking of security and not organized, not too safe for emergency evacuation.

First time at Essence Fest 2019 and we had an absolute blast!! The convention center is huge so it's a good idea to have the app with the map of whatever event you happen to attend here but it was simply amazing!

Place is huge. Can take you 20 mins to walk to the other side of the building. The AC does not work that great. Some rooms are 76F and other rooms 62f I was here everyday for a week for a work conference.

Showed up to comic con to support a friend after recently having knee surgery. The electric wheelchairs were inaccessible to everyone except for the maintenance staff, who were able-bodied and using them to transport their toolbelts.

Visited during the Christmas Holiday and their event at the convention center. There was a lot of ccx walking if you didn't enter exactly at that entrance. The event itself was fun and very pretty.

This is a huge convention center, yet a great place to host an event. The rooms are big and clean with great audio and visual. The atrium restaurant has fantastic food and better employees. Southern hospitality was apparent throughout. Overall it is one of the best convention spaces I have attended.

Attended the Zulu Ball March 1, 2019 and also in 2020. Huge facility, accommodated thousands comfortably. This convention center is used for an array of events, it's simply an amazing facility.

It is recommended that you wear sports shoes. It's too many steps in one day. Another suggestion is to carry a water bottle, which you can refill from drinking water taps.

Oh man, I had the BEST time at the Riverwalk Bronner brothers hair show! So many exciting things; music, products (professional and consumer), hair, makeup! It was WONDERFUL. Also visited the food court in the Riverwalk. I tried MONAS cafe, MANDARIN EXPRESS. MONAS cafe was great; loved the pita bread, that chickpea puree with the olive oil it was definitely something new. If you should visit I personally would suggest the lamb over the chicken- it was MUCH more flavorful and delicious. As for MANDARIN EXPRESS; my meal was cold. It looked like the lady overflowed the heating pan and the rice on the top was cooled however the bottom was probably more heated.

I enjoyed the Essence Festival. It was a positive experience. It was well put together. If you didn't attend, you missed the empowerment sessions, the giveaway, shopping for beautiful clothing and most of all there were many other booths you could have visits for free. The food was good, the entertainment was wonderful, and the people who attend had a blast! Thank you Essence.

I've been here for several different events. The whole convention center is well over a mile long, so hopefully you know which hall you are going to specifically so you can either be dropped off in the right spot or park close enough to not have to walk for freaking ever. Everything seems clean enough. Restroom have always been well stocked. Great for any large event.

Giving is a 3.5 solid. Great location. You can walk from Bourbon if needed. The interior needs some upgrading. The bathrooms were clean even. Which is a plus because I was attending a conference with attendees of over 10k. The staff are very friendly. The food is average at best. If you need something quick to hold you while you are here is all I recommend it for.

Visited convention center for the Essence Festival. Convention center seemed too big if there is such a thing. Seemed Iike in some areas i was just wondering around and no direction. Maybe it was the way Essence set it up. 🤔 Anyway although I attended the Essence festival 3 days I was only motivated to visit the convention center one day. Highlight was the food trucks.

I was there for a small convention in one of the halls. The convention provided lunch through the center. Sandwiches catfish, pulled pork, fried green tomatoes all very tasty. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive

Very nice center, huge comfortable climate, nice staff.. Just need to be in a different location, like far away from New Orleans. Crime and danger begins the moment you leave premises. So be extremely careful going, parking, and leaving.

I had a wonderful time in New Orleans at the Morial Convention Center this past weekend for ESSENCE Festival. The only thing that I did not like was there was no where to sit down but the floor. Definitely need to work on this for next year, but overall they deserve a five star rating.. I have already recommended to my family for 2023 Family Reunion Baby.....

This convention center is massive. You certainly get your steps in attending a function here. Plenty of rooms for workshops, a nice theater that seats around 3,000 for events. Rooms and rooms and rooms. Very clean and accomodating.

Why would they keep the food court and restaurant closed for a convention of 6,000 people? This place could use a lot more restrooms, and gender neutral restrooms, like ours has in San Antonio. I did feel safe there, it was clean, and the staff were really friendly. But walking to Mordor just to grab lunch sucked.

Certainly a large scale convention centre capable of cater to any event large or small. Located in the heart of downtown New Orleans, there is access to plenty of restaurants and side venues for after parties etc... I am skeptical about the “under construction” sidewalk and what impact that will have upon traffic both now and in the future.

I was there for the CVPR 2022 conference. When I was taking a taxi, the driver asked me "which hall?". I was kind of surprised by this question and then he told me "it's really large, so I will drop you in the middle haha" and he didn't lie. It's spacious, really well organized and the conference staff was really friendly. I really enjoyed my stay here!

Came down to visit friends and have fun at Fan Expo this weekend. Only issue I had was the vending machine snacks. They really need to be rotated properly. I got an item that had expired 6months prior. Other than that, clean, nice faculty, and good food at Jazz City.

Attended Essence Fest 2019. One of the best experiences I've had in my life. The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is huge inside, perfect for the thousands of attendees. The layout of each stage & vendor was well thought-out & designed.

This is a nice, large space. I attended the Race Expo for Rock 'n' Roll New Orleans here and enjoyed the facility. Ample bathrooms, comfortable indoor temperatures (especially on a day that was quite cold for New Orleans) and friendly staff overall made this a nice visit.

This venue has seen its better days. There are no signs highlighting where the bathrooms are, they had no restaurants open l, only a small food cart outside the entrance, paper towels were out in most of the dispensers in the men's room..... One of the worst convention centers I have been to.

One of the cleanest and best staffed convention centers I have been to. Fantastic location along the Mississippi River. The outdoor area is well lit with wide sidewalks and I felt very comfortable walking around during both day and night. There are a couple coffee stands inside.

Fine convention center. They’re quick to turn off the HVAC at the stroke of 5 which is tough during a June loadin. Amusing that the freeway pylons are in the middle of the exhibit hall

If you come for a small meeting, this building may be a nice choice. Rooms are spacious and restrooms are usually nearby. But it is a terrible location for big conferences (>10k+ people). The building is very long and walking from one end to the other takes lots of time. There is little choice for lunch and the food price here is overpriced. For example, a sandwich is priced at $14 in Dec 2021.

I took my kids and some of their friends to the December 2021 Christmas Fest/Nola Fest. The entire convention center staff from check-in was absolutely amazing from the time we walked through security until getting ready to leave.

I visit the Convention Center in downtown New Orleans each year for the Workboat show. This year the show was a bit smaller but thankfully we were able to have an in person show. The convention center always does a good job and the facilities are very nice. If you are staying near the warehouse district you can easily walk to the convention center. Located on the water just down from the Hilton and Four Seasons. Thank you for the continued great job.

The people working there are really Courtois but the bathrooms are so discussing!! The floor were sticky and they were missing toilet paper in like all the cabins! And there was a dead cockroach in one of them that stayed there all week

A great venue for conventions, seminars and similar activities when you are catering for a large audience. If your attendees are high hundreds or over a thousand you have no problem as it relates to space. The centre offers many different rooms of many different sizes on the different floors. Yes and if also offers theatres and spaces which can be used as exhibition halls. It is well kept, and the WiFi service I experienced there was flawless.

Its a great space for a conference. It was clean and in a great location with the outlet mall next door. It has concession areas, but most weren't open during the conference.

It's not big, it's looooong. Maps said it was 10 minutes to the conference centre, but it was another 15 minutes to walk to the hall where the conference was. There is a UPS store with office supplies if you need them, but that was a 10 minute walk back.

A very large building. The signage makes it easy to get around and find the meeting rooms. The restrooms were well maintained and exceptionally clean. Good variety of food service, but expensive. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were kept at a comfortable temperature and the chairs were nice.

It is nice enough but just kind of odd. I mean, it's right on the Mississippi River, but there is not a single window that faces that way. Instead the windows face cityward (which I do enjoy normally), and include views of a the underside of a freeway overpass. Also, why is it sooooo long? It's got to be close to 1 mile long. If you enter on the north side it might take you 20-30 minutes to get to rooms 299 and 399 at the other end! Otherwise it's ok.

All I can say about this place is wow! It is enormous! Just the look, feel and architecture of this place is really nice. I feel like you could get lost in there if you weren't paying attention. It was extremely clean and the Starbucks inside was definitely a winner for me. There was a lot of construction going on but you can't hold that against the convention center. Located right in the downtown area. Very historical feel around it as well.

A couple of the toilets didn't flush. Sorry I used them. Everything else was pretty great. The chairs were a little small for my oversized booty but they were pretty comfortable. After sitting for several hours a day. I can still walk so that's a bonus. I liked the set up of the convention center. It was easy to navigate the many sets of stairs and escalators all room numbers were clearly marked. The food court leaves a lot to be desired but the outlet mall food court was not far away.

This is the biggest convention center I've ever seen! Multiple giant ballrooms and very nice and clean and air conditioned inside. Starbucks and many other drinks and food items available inside. There is a small food court with traditional south fare that opens around lunch time for convention goers. I loved coming here for my husband's convention.

It's not confusing, just a big, long building. If you park at "A" and your event is at "H" or "I", expect a long block or two or three walk.

The NOLA convention center downtown is a pretty decent venue space for medium scale conferences. The facility was easy to navigate, was clean, and provided easy access to other parts of the city. Its rooms were well lit and suited for medium sized group activities/presentations. The A/C worked really well (I was there in June) too. Overall, I enjoyed being a part of a 4000 person conference in this center. Great job to the entities who manage the facility.

I was here for a conference that used a large area of the center, with exhibits and workshops spanning across all the halls and across all floors. The center is vast but the halls and rooms are well laid out with sufficient signage. The staff were also very friendly and willing to help. This is one of the most efficient convention centers that I have ever visited. They have easy access, good location near many tourist attractions, and they have a mall next to it with plenty selection of stuff that you may need last minute! That's is a huge plus, but also they have a food court the convention center with a decent variety of food stands, Nevertheless, there is a lot more variety of food stands at the mall too. One of my problems during conventions is finding place to lunch, since many conversations centers just a have a couple of cafeterias with very bland food, this is not the case here.

Prepare for some walking, because this place is huge! We were in Hall H for Collision Conference 2016 and it was a nice venue. There were tons of concessions set up with pretty decent food. I heard good things about the food court too but we never made it to that end of the center. Prices were high, but no more than you would expect of any convention/event center. Everything was well-tended and neat. Staff were constantly coming around cleaning up so you hardly noticed any mess.

The staff here is awesome! Everywhere I went I was greeted with a smile. If someone was cleaning the bathrooms, they would stop what they were doing and hand you paper towels after you washed your hands. My conference was over a weekend so it speaks volumes that the staff was that happy to work on a weekend. Thank you all for your hard work and great customer service! Like the other reviewers this place is gigantic so wear comfortable shoes.

Great place for a convention or conference! The Center is so huge that two conferences were going on at the same time but I never would have known if not for other conference attendees going to get food with badges that looked different than my own. It can be difficult to plan for transportation to/from the airport with construction ongoing (as of April 2019) so plan for additional travel time if arriving for a specific event. My only feedback would be to consider revamping the building's decor and making modifications to the interior to make it more comfortable for guests. For example, installing moving walkways, increasing the availability of benches/chairs/seating areas, and adding more water fountains. It would also be nice to update the food selections available, as most options were greasy/fried and did not appear (or taste) freshly made.

One thing I didn't like was the parking is so far from where everything was and they were charging $20 which is outrageous to me but it was the only parking option. This building is huge. They're trying to be accessible. They're large enough to host conferences with around 50,000 attendees at the same time. The space is flexible for different needs; the tech assistance is top notch. Main drawback...it's huge and difficult to navigate. They make scooters available, and they're good scooters. However, the elevators are undersized and difficult for even staff to get the scooters in and out of. Final note: There are no grassy areas near to the conference for service animals to use...you will have to cross to a median/neutral ground of a nearby street.

It's huge. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, because no matter what you do here, it's bound to involve a mile or more of walking. The facility is pretty clean. The food is absolutely horrible though, so make sure to plan a bite at a nearby spot outside. Some of the meeting rooms are located directly underneath the Mississippi River Bridge, so don't be surprised to hear a honk or two and some serious rumbling during your meeting.

I suppose that as far as convention Center's go, it's doing its job. However, it is so huge. If you go to a convention here wear comfortable shoes, not anything fancy. I wish that they had better beverage and snacks elections spaced in the center. If you want to eat something healthy, you have to leave the convention center and walk around in the quarter. It is nice that this is in New Orleans and close to a lot of amenities.

Staff were great but clearly management is strong handed in some departments. Security staff were so strict that they caused my company make problems when we got locked out of our event storage space. Also, I can't understand why almost all the food spots were closed. I was there for a massive conference and we had to leave the building for anything beyond a cold lunch, concession stand or coffee. Entering and leaving the building was a huge hassle, so many doors are blocked due to construction that there is a very very very long walk in the building, it was a frustrating waste of time.

Very nice large facility for convention space in downtown New Orleans. Lots of things to do and places to eat nearby. The food court inside was not so great. It did have a good Starbucks. Overall, it's a good location for a convention.

I came here to this location as a result of a convention with my family member. We had a meal that were served during the convention and it was fairly nice. The convention hall was set up very well except for the audio systems were difficult to understand and appear to be malfunctioning. since I don't know if the audio system was the responsibility of the facility or that of the convention holder the benefit of the doubt goes to the convention facility. The place was large and clean when I visited. Each of the servers I had contact with were professional and courteous while trying to maintain the meal service areas. all of the ushers that I observed were also professional and courteous in the performance of their jobs.

Big facility. Long walk to get to different places in it. Also, a fairly long (5-6 block walk to/from Hilton and many other large hotels. On the other hand, it has a good mix of room sizes. And the food (for meetings, catered events) is really pretty good. It's very close to (but, unfortunately, not connected to) the river walk--an enclosed shopping mall that stretches all the way to the Hilton.

We were there working for a large convention. Staff is great. Very responsive to needs. Bathrooms clean. Had trouble overnight with huge rats, but we began putting all packaged food in tubs every night. There were also large bugs, not a ton but I saw maybe half a dozen. Disconcerting as we had to work back stage with little light, but I think that's just NOLA. You've got to deal with it. Also had events at the Hilton. No bug or rodent sightings. This center is huge, so Hall J was a big trek for us. They need those airport moving sidewalks. Overall a good experience thanks to the people.

Wow, talk about a giant convention center! The whole time I was there I just kept thinking, "Why isn't Comic-Con being held here?" I mean, I know San Diego is nice but boy what a con you could throw at this convention!! And, since the convention center is so gigantic be sure to bring some comfy walking shoes. The center was kept clean and could easily hold the two conventions it was running while I was there. DO NOT: Absolutely do NOT buy coffee at a vendor there. I got a mocha and it was so horribly made I took one sip and had to toss it. Do not expect to get coffee at Starbucks here unless you want to spend your whole morning in line. DO: Absolutely DO buy you coffee on the way as there is only 1 Starbucks in the whole convention center and you'll be standing in line for at least 20 minutes. Absolutely DO take advantage of their furniture outside of convention halls to take a load off. Absolutely DO take the time to walk out of the convention center to go have lunch at one of the closer restaurants.

This place covers several city blocks and has more than adequate presentation rooms and AV support for conference meetings. However there is very little actual support for food or beverage service in site especially considering that several of the surrounding hotels do not have kitchens or room service. I would not willingly suggest booking a conference here in the future as there is just plain not food and beverage service available outside of actual conference supplied meals. Also it feels like it is in a "seedy" part of town and may not be totally safe.

Very large convention center. I recently visited to attend the annual AGU conference which is usually held in San Francisco, CA. The layout of this convention center is very intuitive. I was pleased to see the many concession area located throughout the center. Lots of variety for food choices. Another plus is the close proximity to the outlet shopping center along the Mississippi River. Friendly staff, nice conference halls.

I was at the convention center for a large conference. The staff was very friendly! The convention center is outdated in certain areas. It's HUGE though!!! Come wearing comfortable shoes! There are multiple levels with escalator access, but from end to end, the convention center is about 1/2 a mile in length. There's a food court and Starbucks in the middle portion of the convention center.

Oldish style, but overall a well-maintained convention center. Gender neutral bathrooms were cool. But what takes the rating down to three is the lack of food/coffee for early convention goers. Nothing is really open early (before first session). And afterwards, I waited over an hour for Starbucks. If you have a convention here, plan to eat and get your coffee elsewhere.

Unfortunately this convention center is right in the middle of a construction zone. Access is difficult. I was lucky enough to stay at the Downtown Marriott accross the street. Since I am disabled and require the use of a scooter, crossing the street to the center was a bit scary. Once inside, the facility was clean with ample space for our RepFest.

Spent three days here for a meeting. Venue fit the bill, we didn’t even task them since we were not large enough to even come close to filling it. Wish there was more onsite grab and go for coffee, waters and more available verse just the Atrium Restaurant area. Bathrooms very large and well attended to, which was appreciated. Be prepared for fluctuations in temperature and humidity it is the south. Enjoy!

Covid vacine Johnson and Johnson, large parking lot. You entered on the left side and were giving a temperature check. Given a pen an card to fill out then takin to a work station with a computer. Work stations were at least 6' apart and there were at least 50 stations with two computers per station. After filling out the information on the computer received a print out you went to the back. In the back were approximately 30 stations with 3 spaced apart seats per station. Recieved the shot and given a small paper with time on it when you can leave. Walk all the way to the right. 15 rows of ten chairs each spaced at least 6' apart. The chairs are all facing a large projection of a clock. On each chair was a paper with pertinent information about possible side affects and warning for emergency procedures. There also was a yellow mask in a plastic bag and smiley face on the mask. They had medical personnel watching and answering questions . Time matches your card you leave. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful from the start to the end. If anyone there reads this well done and thank you.

The convention center is in an excellent location and is close enough to the tourist areas to walk. The exhibit halls are large enough for major events, but the relatively narrow width makes it a long journey from end to end. Food is overpriced and a poor representative of New Orleans cuisine.

Dusty and not memorable, with a strong 80s vibe, this convention center is actually either too big or inefficiently laid out so that the hallways are gigantic, travel distance between rooms is amusingly long and, as silly as it may sound, restrooms are few and far between for the number of people that can be accommodated in the space. Otherwise, there are typical amenities, good sound and video and a rather sad looking food court (once again severely undersized)

It is a great place to have a conference. But it is a huge place and going from one end to another can take good 15-20 min. For my conference the names of the rooms were little confusing (but i think that was the organisers fault) and the food available inside was not that great. But there is Starbucks available for a coffee hit althoufh the queue became extraordinarily long during the breaks. Rather uniquely it's close to an outlet mall which is just next door!

It is ok, but be aware of the cost. Also, there is a lot of construction the entire length of the CC. So getting dropped off by Uber/Lyft or taxicab may be difficult. There are a few places you can actually cross the street, so even if you're staying in one of the hotels across the from the convention center you still going to figure out how to get there. Plan for extra travel time.

Huge convention center. It can easily host multiple big conferences. I attended APS physics conference in March 2017 which had around 10,000 participants. The rooms are good and well organized. Also has several theaters. Only downside is, they don't have good places to eat. They have a couple of food courts, but the food is awful. They have one Starbucks which was always crowded.

This is a very good convention center for large conferences. Here I attended the technology conference of Nutanix. Next in May 2018. There are many halls with good capacity. And there are three great halls with a capacity of five thousand to six thousand seatings. The whole convention center is clean and very systematically designed.

In my opinion I received the best show for my money for the Essence after dark reggae concert. Only thing I didn't like being from out of town is it was standing room only. Yes, it had some VIP seating, but you would not have seen the artist while sitting and when we left we were exhausted from standing inside and out, but I wish I had just paid for all the concerts instead. Essence fest itself could've been better. First, the lines for free products were too long. They should have had two separate lines for product information/sales & free. I paid $59.90 for the beauty carnival and received the same gift or similar to the people who got in for free, only difference is I didn't have to wait in the long gen admission free line. So, save your money. We knew nothing about the my black is beautiful exhibit/stand beforehand because in order to participate, you had to come when convention center opened to get a time stamped wristband of when to return. What I expected was a separate experience from free similar to VIP because I thought I was paying for VIP. However, they should have added things like makeup/hair tutorials. At the Maui booth I did get a picture with Elle Varner which was nice. There was nice places and props for photos. Great hair journey informational exhibits. It was way too many different music playing to enjoy the many different interviews and extra concerts, but the Brandy concert at the Coca Cola booth was great. The program and Essence app was confusing on how to get to exhibits inside expo. No suggestions on how they can fix it, but it needs to change. Maybe something with directions on how to get to expos because some of the staff had no idea how to read program details or where things were located. Or, maybe more floor signs.

As mentioned, this place is huge. Just truly massive. It generally contains several events simultaneously, so be careful not to show up to the wrong ballroom. The staff gave us endless guffaws and teases over the event costuming. It was not welcoming. Parking is pricey as well as the crappy food.

Bring your walking shoes!! This convention center is nearly a MILE long! However, it is a Beautiful structure that is ideal for large OR small conferences. I would recommend bringing a sweater/Jacket though, even if it is hot outside, they keep it cool in the building.

This place is huge! Make sure when you attend a convention here to have very comfortable shoes. Parking lots are abundant and most charge 30 dollars per day. There is available street parking but they only offer parking in two hour intervals, there is an app for the parking but unfortunately you can not add time from it so if you can't make it back to your car to move it or start all over you will get a 30 dollar ticket like I did. There are multiple hotels and restaurants all around the facility. The front of the convention center is undergoing a redesign (February 2019) and is supposed to be finished by the fall. But now it is a total mess and it is very bogged down with traffic and detours You may want to take Lyft or uber although they jack up the rates during highly attended events. Some hotels have shuttles so that you can avoid getting ripped off.

It's big and has great wifi. There are also lots of hotels nearby. However, there are very few food options close, and there was nowhere to buy cold drinks in the convention center except for one small deli that was very busy.

I attended the 2018 American Library Association conference at this convention center. This is a huge convention center, so be prepared for a lot of walking. There was at least one other event happening at the same time; that is how large the space was! The convention center is well air conditioned, which I appreciated due to the hot weather outside. The opening session featured an audience of thousands who came to see Michelle Obama speak. The exhibit hall had hundreds of vendors. There were rooms of various sizes within the center for a variety of workshops. The escalators were a bit confusing, but there was sufficient signage for me to find my way around from one end of the center to the other on different floors.

New Orleans convention center is one of the most professional convention centers in this region. I likes the design, however, I did not parking area. It is very difficult to find your place in your first visit. Make sure to come earlier for your first visit. I liked the activities they introduced it and food court place where you will be able to find a good food.

The inside has been totally remodeled. Absolutely beautiful but the construction makes it difficult to maneuver. Parking limited and expensive. I had to park at the other end of where my meeting was. Put your walking shoes on. Take an Uber or walk, walk and walk.

Very large convention center, so wear your walking shoes and wear layers. Chilly when in meetings but Work up a sweat getting to your meeting! Meals were included in mine, food was served cold, and breakfast undercooked so not impressed. A large number of bathrooms so rare line for facilities that were kept clean. Few chairs available in lobby area for as large as facility is if you need to make a call and access paperwork. Countless water fountains did not work. One meal I asked if I could get a glass of water after drinking the one on the table and was told there is only hot water and was pointed to the coffee table. So pack a water bottle or two for the day!

Large building runs about a block long. Clean, airy interior, up kept. Sections include cafe eatery a bit pricey as all of New Orleans I've encountered. While at a convention there the hotel buses were moved to the other end of the block unknown to the patrons. Running of the Bulls sprung up closing portions of the street. Some people weren't allowed to cross over to catch the bus, poor planning. Safety officers on site we're kind enough to direction my party to the new bus stand. Too many hotels have similar names which confuses people. Overall a nice presentation. Close walking distance to some area hotels, others had to board the bus. Parking ranges up to $40 a night at your own hotel!

Nice, clean convention facility.... but the food options available inside the building are bogus. When running a sales booth at a convention, one doesn't have much time for grabbing a meal and might want to go for the Quick and Close option. Well, don't. Just don't. I can't recommend a place outside of the convention center within a stone's throw, either. My advice to anyone visiting or working the events here is to bring your own snack, save your money to eat at one of the many famous restaurants around the city. Whatever you do, don't waste your money on the inedible bread with 6 soggy, cold fried shrimp that is their Po Boy...

I attended the AGU conference this year and had a chance to visit this conference center. It is a huge conference center that can easily accommodate around 50k people. The parking was easy and there are many restaurants nearby for a quick bite.

Was here for the 2017 NADA Conference. This place is huge so make sure you're wearing comfy shoes for whatever event you're here for. The only downside to this venue is the distinct lack of a recycling program. During our event, tens of thousands of bottles of water were consumed on-site and sadly not a single empty bottle found it's way to a place where it could be recycled.

Let's see...how do you review a conference center? It is large...has lots of rooms...is well-marked for finding your way from room to room. Reasonably comfortable climate control. Lots of bathrooms. Expensive snacks. 😡 This is notba cheap conference, so this seemed like taking advantage of a captive audience. Finding food (aside from lunchtime) was difficult. Need more availability of food in between sessions. The atrium cafe was always too long a line to get anything without being late. (This review was during Ellucian live 2019...no idea who is actually responsible for this - the conference center or the company.)

A great addition to the city & its the place of ALL THINGS "CONVENTIONING" (is that a word... lol) The site of balls, the civil sheriff's thanksgiving day dinner, graduations, medical conventions (as I stated), jewelry shows; this place is MASSIVE and to walk it, phew, walking shoes are called for. Before heading out, I normally find out which Hall (A-L, I believe) the event I'm going to is going to be held at and then I head for the hills. Some years ago, posthumously, there was a renaming to Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, just seems fitting to me, especially since he was the major push behind the creation of the venue. The new face lift is refreshing. Bathrooms are evenly spaced & seemingly ALWAYS clean, which is a feat within itself because of the expansive size. Inside there are little eateries & drinking facilities, just in case you don't want to leave the Convention Hall during your event.

I was only briefly there. The place is huge can hold many mini conferences at the same time. It's not too difficult to get to as not too far from Canal Street and the Riverwalk. You can get the airport shuttle from there as well. It's also a 5-10min walk from Mardi Gras World and 5 mins away from the Riverwalk Outlet Collection mall.

Very large facility. The theater rooms are in an amphitheatre style. The seating in those rooms is very uncomfortable for a tall person because of limited leg space. The rooms are looking a bit rundown. I was there for a convention and the food court was closed.

It's a big convention center. It's a two stories building. Well organized and easy to understand its distribution. I had the opportunity to use it for the AAO 2017 and the only sad part is that it doesn't have a free parking. Free wifi available during the meeting. The outside was already decorated for christmas and it was lovely.

The Morial Convention Center is a vast hub of activity. Just be sure to utilize maps, parking, and direction. The Convention Center is a very convenient well fitted addition to downtown New Orleans sites and lodging. I always enjoy going there for events. TIP: Parking lot "J" by the end of the center is for $5 only if you leave before 5 a.m. the next morning. Not good if you have fancy shoes though. Center is quite large, service staff ok. Air conditioning weak during de/construction period, nobody is replacing towels throughout the day in the restrooms.

Where are the chairs. As you walk the 1/2 mile in your suit and your shoe becomes untied, unless you are inside one of the large halls, you will never find a chair to sit down in and tie your shoe. They simply have none in the main walkways.

It was a MASSIVE crowd for Essence 2018 but I met Mary J Blige and Vivica Fox here! The was a lot of activity and plenty of space to accommodate it all... massive amounts of vendors with booths set up everywhere... the drawback was the food. The vendor we went to sold BAD seafood and we all threw up. The "soft shell crabs" were hard! And when we ate them, it tasted like ammonia inside! The conch was disgusting and dough-like and the shrimp were the only saving grace. Poor uber driver... I let her car have it! That's not the convention centers fault tho, but it was my experience here.

This building is enormous and has no moving sidewalks or anything to expedite travel for the regular folks (i.e. not convention center staff or police) from one end of the mile long building to the other. This makes it very difficult if you're mobility impaired at all. The bathrooms, while they're clean, are very far apart. It's just a gigantic building.

Good place for a convention, but remember it rains around from time to time so take umbrella if you don't want to be soaking wet while walking from your hotel!

This convention center is truly huge! Due to it's longitudinal shape, when going from one room to the next, take up to 20 min walking time into consideration

Large place. Thus extensive walking is required to move from one lecture to the next lecture with insufficient time to arrive at the start of the next lecture. Also, the ambient temperature of the facility is too cold; even a sweater is insufficient to stay warm.

That place is massive...I walked 8 miles inside the facility on an average for 4 days...was there for a conference...has a mall right beside it...a river behind..great...that Starbucks is just way too insufficient for a place this big.. sitting arrangements could be better...I hope they have a easy access wifi by now..and it's new Orleans..so indulge in ...

Facility is top flight, but who ever produced the recent Tattoo Artists convention did zero promotion. No one knew about it, very small turnout, many artists said they'll not return due to the lack of promotion.

Went to the Halloween Expo, it was easy to get to and from the convention center. Bathrooms were clean, facility had plenty of space and the staff were helpful.
