Michelle is a visionary. We were so glad we chose her to plan our wedding in New Orleans! She guided us every step of the way from start to finish, and we loved how our wedding turned out. I honestly couldn't imagine the day without her. She's also just an incredible human and so much fun to be around. Highly recommend her to everyone!

Michelle Norwood Events is beyond extraordinary. Michelle and her staff is the epitome of what a event planner/wedding planner should provide. Her attention to detail is like no other. She is very attentive to her clients needs and her expertise is like none other. Michelle and her team are the absolute best in the business. I hired Michelle for my destination wedding in Destin, Florida. I was extremely nervous planning a wedding far away and wanted a planner that had experience along with connections that would make the process easier. The planning process was fun! Michelle did all the work and I only had to make the pretty less cumbersome decisions!! :) Being a busy medical professional, Michelle was exactly what I needed in my life. My wedding day went off without a hitch. I could not have asked for more perfection on my special day. From a horse drawn carriage to my ceremony and fireworks ending an amazing night. I would highly recommend Michelle and her team for any of my future events.

Michelle Norwood is a fun, detail-oriented, dedicated, and powerful wedding planner in New Orleans. She was recently named best wedding planner by Harper’s Bazaar and I could not agree more. She is simply the best. The end. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is a nightmare, but Michelle was with us every step of the way as we had to pivot from our “dream” wedding. Since Michelle is so well-connected and knowledgeable about the wedding industry in New Orleans, the transition was very smooth. Our wedding day was magical and truly a DREAM come true despite the changes we made due to the pandemic. This is all because of Michelle. Her execution was flawless and still amazes me almost a year later. When our caterer walked out 3 weeks before the big day, Michelle handled the situation with power and poise. She was able to recover our deposit and find us a phenomenal caterer with 3 weeks notice. I truly cannot speak more highly of our experience with Michelle. We feel like we gained more than just a wedding planner, but also a friend.

Michelle and Shelby have worked with me and my now husband on two events (our ceremony and upcoming reception) spanning a pandemic, changed location, and ever-shifting budgets. Planning my wedding in Alaska was beyond stressful. With Covid and all the changes I was at my wits end. Finally I decided to hire a planner. A quick Google search or two and Michelle Norwood Events appeared several times. A quick tour of her website and I was sold. I went to her Instagram and read the news of her brother's passing and saw how open and transparent she was about her personal life. I love honest and real individuals and that was Michelle. Someone I definitely wanted to work with. During our first call, we didn’t event talk about my wedding. We chatted away and got to know each other on a personal level. It was like I was speaking to a friend I hadn’t spoken to in years. Now back to the wedding. What I wanted was an experience and adventure for our two families who come from very different backgrounds. I am hispanic and my husband is a native New Orleanian. My husband and I love the outdoors, adventures and love to travel. So, all of these details had to be considered and integrated into the planning. From the Save the Date’s Michelle nailed it! It was subtle but it was if you know us you immediately got it. And if you didn’t it was simply beautiful. Guests thought our Save the Dates were the invitations! This attention to detail carried over to every aspect of our wedding. Michelle's creativity was beyond what I had imagined. She would share an idea and it was like magic. Our super intimate, private estate, Covid wedding of 25 at my parents home went off without a hitch. If it weren’t for Michelle and her team I don’t know what I would have done. A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and she went above and beyond anything I would have ever dreamed of. She is expensive, however, worth every penny and some. I have no regrets and would pay double for the piece of mind and calm spirit that she is able to bring during such a beautiful but also stressful time. To go above and beyond does not even come close to describe how amazing Michelle is. We were simply over the moon when we discovered she had organized an all day romantic kayaking adventure for two in Aialik Bay! Kayaking near immense glaciers surrounded by bergy bits and growlers (small chunks of floating ice) was an adventure my husband and I will never forget! Her opinions are strong and her designs are beautiful. Just trust her and let her work her magic, you will not be disappointed. Shelby and Michelle we love you both so much. You are now a part of the family. Thank you for making our Alaska wedding dream a reality.

Michelle is truly the absolute best at what she does. Patient and kind, honest and fun (and funny as hell!), she's become more than just our planner, she's our friend. Her responses are always quick, clear, and informative. She answered every question and found us truly wonderful vendors. If you're planning any kind of event, you won't find a better planner than Michelle Norwood. Worth every penny.
