That Blacksmith guy

My best man organized a bachelor party for me (the groom) and my friends. Took us a few tries to learn, but once we got it, it didn’t take long until the competition was on. We had a ton of fun and learned a lot too. The instructor was very helpful and the atmosphere was pretty decent. All in all, would definitely recommend.

Such a great experience here! Came for the rage room on Father’s Day and loved it! The staff is so kind and made the whole experience lovely. The room was extremely fun and we even got a bit of axe throwing in. I highly recommend visiting here and will most definitely be back!

Had a blast at AxeVentures. First time doing it so didn't know what to expect. I thought we'd have big axes but was glad they had the smaller more manageable ones. The customer service was top notch and instructions given to us by Elisha were clear and the tips for optimal throwing were very helpful. We even got some impromptu dance lessons from her daughter Arial, haha! No tap but there was a variety of beers to choose from the cooler. Didn't do the smash room so can't weigh in on that, but as far as axes, I'd highly recommend!

We had a lot of fun. We were able to bring my son who is 9 and there was a whole other room he was able to chill out in. I brought my boyfriend for his birthday and he really enjoyed it. We all were able to play pool as well. It was really warm in there but other than that it was a really nice experience. There was one other couple there for a little while then we had the place to ourselves. Cody was really nice. He would explain how to throw then gave us our space and would come back occasionally to give pointers. My BF really wants to come back.

Me and my daughter had a wonderful time. We didn't last the full 1.5 hour; after 30 minutes we were tired and ready to leave. Either way, we had a great time there and will return again. Elisha explained everything very well and gave us pointer on the right movements

Rage room was so fun! BUT for anyone interested, just know, you get one bucket of breakable stuff and you have to purchase additional things to break. For the experience, we did buy a TV which made it more fun. But, I would have liked to know ahead of time. I would go back now that I've been, just for the release!!

AxeVentures was a blast! We had never done axe throwing, but wanted to try it. We were only in town for a weekend and didn't think we would have time, but they were able to open up just for us on a Sunday morning. They did a great job teaching us how to throw, and let us really enjoy ourselves. We would love to come back with a larger group or in the evening, but were happy for a less crowded experience while we learned the ropes!

This was a wonderful family adventure. None of us had ever been axe- throwing, so that made it even more fun. Our ages ranged from 7 to 73. Owner and family were very nice and helpful. Would recommend this business to anyone.

Great experience. None of our group had ever thrown axes before, but before too long we were hitting the target fairly well! The hour-and-a-half time slot was the perfect amount of time to practice and play 2-3 rounds of competitive play within our group. The coach was helpful, but also let us figure it out on our own. We had a really great time and I will definitely be going to an axe throwing venue again.

We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't very crowded at all. It was fun, kids really enjoyed it. No food or drinks are served there, just be aware of that. You can buy drinks out of a fridge if needed. All in all, for the price compared to other places, it was great and located in a good area of town.

Rachel & Amber were great hosts and this place was very accommodating. People were skeptical on how fun this could be but at the end of the day everyone was happy we took the time to do this, we had a blast! One regret: we had a bachelor party and I was thinking about buying axes for my group but wasn't sure what was 'regulation'. Turns out the $13 axes from Harbor freight(both wood & fiberglass variations, the wood ones say 'hickory' something on them) that I was considering were the exact ones we used, so if you want to get a little something for your party to remember the occasion then gift them some axes. I'm not sure if they allow you to bring your own but at least everyone will have something to remember the experience by.

Our company was in town for a conference. We booked Axe Ventures for an offsite event and it was a phenomenal experience. The day after, people came up to our team repeatedly and thanked us for having such a fun offsite and told us they had a wonderful time. Brandy and Adam were amazing! They worked hard to accommodate us (it wasn’t easy, we weren’t sure how many folks would come). Their patience was amazing and would love to come back!

We went to AxeVentures for a buddies birthday. We called the day before and made a reservation for 6 of us. They were able to accommodate all of us and get us booked for 6:15 the following day. We wound up running late and calling them. They were very understanding and allowed us to change our reservation time to 6:45 with two bays side by side. Josh was very helpful in training all of us and he took the time to watch each person throw multiple times in order to provided personalized feed back on what that individual could do differently to nail the target, HE KNEW HIS STUFF! We had a great time playing the different scoring games and enjoyed the BYOB aspect of the facility. It was $35 per person for 1.5 hours of throwing, which was enough time to play 3 games total with the 6 of us. I would recommend this place for groups or a date night. LOVED IT!

Pleasant experience. Adequate coaching and attempts to help everyone succeed. Very laid back environment. Can being food and drinks (alcohol included) from outside. One hitch is when you have two parties in the lane, the speed at which you can throw is slowed for safety reasons. Otherwise a great time!

My wife and I had a great time at AxeVentures this past weekend. I would say that it's definitely a more affordable option than other Axe Throwing locations in the area. The coaches were helpful in showing us different throwing techniques and going over safety while throwing. Adam from this location was very helpful with scheduling our axe throwing date and we can't thank him enough for his understanding. We had a fun time throwing for an hour and a half while playing various games outlined in a book that is provided to each lane. The only downside I would say to this location compared to another axe throwing location in the area is that the scoring is manual here. At another location that I visited the scoring was done electronically by the coach at your lane and you could view it on a flat screen TV. It's not a big deal but it's just a slight technology edge of one location over another. The music they played throughout our visit was amazing. I knew just about every song and artist that they played and it helped make for an enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back and we'll be sure to tell others about the experience that we had as well!

Thanks for a great experience! Had a birthday gathering for my husband, everybody showed up and had a great time! Bring your own munchies (we brought pies). Alcoholic beverages must be purchased there, no problem the price was very reasonable. This place is worth the price to have a new and safe adventure!

We had the BEST time! This was our first time going to a smash room, so we weren't sure what to expect. When we walked in we were greeted by a wonderful host who took us back to the back room, got us suited up with gear, and explained the rules. Originally I thought 30 minutes might not be enough, but let me me tell you, after 15 minutes we were dripping sweat. 30 minutes was a perfect sweat spot. You had options to buy extra items to smash as well. Overall, we had a great time and can't wait to come back!

Booked the rage room. Was looking forward to breaking some things. Couldn’t find any sort of marketing or photography for the room, so didn’t know what to expect. It’s clearly in the very early stages and has so much room to grow. The value of the activity is not worth the cost, but I know there’s expenses beyond the materials and see this as an opportunity for their rage room to improve and evolve.

We did the smash room and the ax throwing. The smash room was a huge disappointment. We paid $35 per person to get to break two buckets of glass items. Do not waste your money. You had to pay extra to smash anything other than those items. The ax throwing was just OK. We will not be back.

A little pricey for a spur of the moment stop, but it was still fun. Hot inside however, especially if you start working up a sweat by throwing a lot. FYI: The axes they use here are small tactical ones, just in case you have been elsewhere with the bigger axes before.

Fantastic first axe-throwing experience! I visited AxeVentures as a part of a team-building event, and it did not disappoint. It is located in a large shopping area near Opry Mills, so there is plenty of parking. (That is not always the case with Nashville events, so that was a pleasant surprise!) There are four (4) 2-person "stalls" at this location, so 8 people can throw at a time. Safety precautions included both of the folks in the stall throwing and retrieving their axes at the same time to minimize opportunities for them to get hurt. There is a nice seating area behind the axe-throwing "cages" that includes several high-top tables with stools, so the rest of the group can hang out, eat, and watch the "show." The briefing session where we learned best practices was helpful, and there were just the right amount of safety measures - it was educational, but did not insult our intelligence. Since our group consisted of all adults - some of which who had experienced something like this before - the experience was customized just for us. Our hostess and trainer was easygoing and incredibly friendly, so she felt like part of the group. She provided help and tips when we needed/wanted that, but allowed us to go at our own pace. There were score sheets if we wanted to amp up the competition, but there was no pressure. I highly recommend both this experience and location. It might be a little underwhelming as a 2-person date night since it's nice to have a break in between a series of throws. For a group of 4+ people, it is perfect! With a slightly large size group, couples could share just one stall and alternate by taking turns throwing. Our group of ~20 people had 2 hours and all 4 stalls, so there were 8 people throwing at a time while the other dozen or so ate and watched. That was just the right amount of throwing vs. resting. (Beware: You might be sore the next day lol!) I didn't get to experience the rage room, but I will definitely be checking it out next time!

It's time to throw your lot in with AxeVentures because there's no toss up when it comes to choosing your edged-weapon-chucking-fun! Training for first timers is well instructed and safety rules are in place. The lanes were well maintained, great music, and a friendly owner who gave us all the tips rounded out the fun visit. We are always looking for new things to do in a Nashville and had heard good things about this game. It was decently priced considering you get an hour and a half to play. We had a very good time and it seemed like we threw axes forever. The longer you throw though, the more beat up the target gets, making it harder for the axe to stick, so it is better to get here earlier in the day. Not only do you get a clean target but it is cheaper during the day. It was definitely a fun experience and we would definitely go back.

Myself and 12 other staff members went to AxeVentures yesterday after a six hour staff retreat at Gaylord Springs. Upon arrival we got instruction and safety lessons from Kirsten. She was very patient with our group, she showed us techniques that would help with us sticking our axe to the target along with bringing out smaller axes for those having difficulty mastering their throw. Overall it was a fun experience, it was great to see my coworkers cheering on each other after hitting the target or even if the target wasn't hit, words of encouragement were still given. This was a great team building exercise. I would definitely do again.

This is a really fun way to spend a couple of hours! We came in on a cold rainy day just to have something to do and had a blast! My family and I spent 1.5 hours here and it was more than enough! At first I thought I wanted to throw axes for hours and hours, but in reality, 1.5 hours was enough time! My arm got tired and my throws got sloppy...but what fun! Our coach (I think her name was Jenae) was so helpful and patient. My husband and kids (ages 22/25) got really good at this...me not so much...but sharing a couple beers (you bring your own), lots of laughs, and a good time...is a novel must-do!

I’d never been axe throwing before, but I’m already excited to go again. The primal joy of sinking an axe into wood is just something beyond satisfying. There were 4 of us, all new, but Kirstyn had us landing the targets rather quickly. The healthy competition that followed was really fun! The staff member who worked with us gave great directions on how to properly throw the axes/ tell us how to adjust ourselves etc. He even let us throw for a little longer than our scheduled time, which was so nice! Some people may appreciate that, but our group likes to get to know who we work with as we are a Girl Scout troop.

I was not sure I was going to like axe throwing, but I had a great time. We were given personal instruction up front by a staff member with a great sense of humor, which was really helpful. We played against each other - good fun and rivalry. You can totally stink at it like me, and still have a lot of fun.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I came with a group of four other gentleman celebrating my bachelor party and we had many option for axe throwing. But out of all of Nashville there is no place that I would go to than AxeVentures!! The experience was phenomenal and the customer service was spot on. If you and your group are looking for a place to go to spend an amazing evening not only feeling manly but have a wonderful evening of calisthenics I would recommend no other place than AxeVenture. If I’m being specific, the customer service from Jackie the evening we spent 1 1/2 hours throwing axes was absolutely on point.

Axe throwing in general is great fun. This was my first time going. The only issue I had with this place was that the attendant working there was alone. As a result, he couldn't give us any more than a 20 second intro to how to throw axes before he had to move on to his other duties. I'd go axe throwing there again in a heartbeat, but the beginning was a bit rocky.

Had a blast! Amber, our instructor, was great! It wasn't as easy as it looked, but I managed to throw a few bullseye's. Amber's tips were probably the only reason for that. This is something everybody should do once. It's pretty unique, and when the blade sticks in the wood, it's really satisfying. Really good prices available through Groupon right now. Ever dream of the perfect Monday night? Dream no more: axeventures is the place to go. Monday night football game a blowout? Bad case of the Monday’s? Throw an axe at a wall for an hour and you’ll be cured of any ailment. Music check, Netflix check. Ever play horse with an axe? Try it I promise you’ll thank me later.
