Our experience with the The Box was fine, but could have been better. The only reason I'm not giving it a lower rating is because the staff that actually worked our wedding were top-notch and the price point was desirable. I wish that working with Jamie Levine was just as great. We began our relationship with the venue working with the other owner, Jamie Berger, and she was awesome. So friendly, so fun and easy to talk to; she genuinely seemed excited to host us. We loved working on our vision with her and talking to her about things that we wanted and didn't want. After we decided to postpone our wedding, we began exclusively working with Jamie Levine, and that was not as nice. She came off as cold and annoyed, and was not very accommodating when it came to certain aspects of our wedding that kept changing as COVID changed and evolved. I appreciated all the answers to the many questions that came up the weeks before the wedding, but the way that Jamie spoke to us made us feel like we were an inconvenience and just overall a burden and she was a little condescending. Our parking validation was also not properly set up by the venue so we had guests who never had their parking validated and had to pay full price. We were bombarded with questions and concerns from Jamie on the days leading up to our wedding that could have been dealt with weeks prior like reminding us when we needed to be out of the venue, issues with our caterer in which I had to call them to deal with it, issues with our decorations that had been previously discussed with Jamie Berger. It was also like we were meeting for the first time every time we spoke. She never seemed to have a grasp on what page we were on, and even who we were sometimes. It was incredibly disingenuous and upsetting because this was the person we were paying to hold the most important of our lives and she couldn't be bothered to even take the time to make sure she was speaking to the right couple. Overall, the space was great for our smaller wedding, and we were able to utilize the space to our liking and our guests had a great time. The staff--the bartenders, the manager, Jamie Berger-- were amazing, and we really loved celebrating with them. However, working with Jamie Levine was kind of a miss in our opinion and we probably would have steered clear if we knew how much of a pain and emotional labor it would have been.

We absolutely loved having our event at The Box, and planning with Jamie Berger and Levine was such a treat! We originally had our wedding celebration planned for May of 2020, then due to covid moved to October 2020, then once again to October of 2021. They could not have been more accommodating for us moving our event 2x, during a time where their business I am sure was taking a hit due to the pandemic. Both Jamie’s were always incredibly responsive and accommodating to whatever we needed during the whole process. When it came the day of, they came in even a bit earlier than our contract time to make sure the band could setup on time. During the actual event, I don’t think it could have possibly gone smoother than it did. Our manager Katelynn had everything under control, the bartenders were great and our guests never had to wait for a drink, and when it came tear down time Katelynn had helped pack all of our decorations so we could continue to go and enjoy ourselves. Thanks again to both Jamie and Jaime for helping us have such an amazing day, and would 1000% recommend using The Box for any sort of event.

I cannot rate this place high enough. We hosted our wedding reception here with 150 people, and it was an absolute blast. Jamie had the best recommendations for creating our vision, and the staff on our night was unlike anything I’ve experienced at a wedding… incredibly professional, fun, and efficient. I loved being able to bring in catering from various places, and the space is so beautiful on its own that it does not require much decorating. The front corners both have lounge areas with beautiful furniture that is all included. The outdoor space was such a fun place to run out to, especially after getting nice and sweaty on the dance floor. Now stop reading reviews, just go book The Box!! It is the absolute best place to host an event in Milwaukee, especially for what you are paying. The night that they hosted for us was absolutely perfect.

Working from out of town, inviting a very large number of family and friends, we found The Box MKE to be the one stop shop for a perfect rehearsal dinner. Ready with recommendations for caterers, decorators, and florists, as well as help selecting special wines and a signature cocktail, Jamie and her team actually made event planning fun. We told them our "vision" for a family-like dinner in a romantic garden/porch setting and they executed. The Box was a great location for our out of town guests, most of whom stayed within walking distance. Can't say enough nice things about the staff (a number of our guests remarked on how much fun they were) who helped keep the stress levels low all evening by anticipating our needs. Our only regret was that the evening had to end.

The Box Mke was the venue I used for my Grandma’s 90th Diamond Birthday Party and everything was amazing!! The venue is beautiful with the Cream City Brick wall and massive square footage. I worked with Jaime Levine. She was very attentive to all of the details for my Grandma’s special day. I appreciated her and Autumn’s assistance. I highly recommend this venue… as you won’t be disappointed!

Can’t rave enough about having my daughter’s wedding at The Box last weekend! I worked with Jamie Berger so I knew I was in good hands. I can’t even imagine all the work that went into getting the space ready. All I know is that when we walked in I knew my daughter’s vision had come to life. Jamie nailed the ambience. The staff that night was excellent —- very quick to remove any dirty dishes or glasses. All seemed very friendly and dressed well. The bartenders were particularly fun. For me, it was a great experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend The Box!

My husband and I could not be happier with choosing The Box for our reception venue. Working with Jamie was a seamless process. She was so attentive to all of my (endless!) emails and accommodated us in so many ways, to ensure that I didn't have to stress about related to our reception in any way that day. With this being a whole new experience for me, she made sure I had everything I needed and took care of everything behind the scenes. The bartenders for the venue were great, friendly and all-around fun people! Our guests loved the ambiance the venue provided and we received so many compliments about space. I would recommend The Box in a heartbeat. We loved absolutely everything about having our wedding at the box. The space was beautiful and we received so many compliments from family and friends. We were also able to save money and added stress by needing minimal decorations. Jamie and Jamie were a dream to work with and did everything to make sure our day went seamlessly and stress free. Jaime and Jamie- were amazing to work with while planning our wedding during COVID. It’s been crazy trying to plan a wedding during the pandemic but despite that, they were always responsive, kept us informed all city guidelines, and were flexible with the process to make sure we felt safe and also that we ultimately enjoyed our special day. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to throw future parties at the box and this pandemic to end!

The Box is an absolute gem in the city of Milwaukee. Not only is it in the heart of downtown, but it also is the perfect venue for your next event. I love the versatility this space has and there is so much room for creativity. Being in contact with the owners and coordinators of the space has truly been an eventful experience and I would highly recommend getting to know them. My event was pushed back one day because of the Bucks finals and they were more than understanding, they were flexible. If you're looking for a space to have your event with a perfect set up and a welcoming environment, this is the place for you. 10/10, would recommend.

Where do I begin? First of all, Jaime and her staff were very friendly and willing to work with us with everything going on with the pandemic. They were gracious enough to let us postpone our party until the following year which allowed us to get our whole family to the party. Leading up to the party, they helped us with everything we could think of along the way. From planning to catering to working with the band that we hired. My wife and I couldn't be happier with how everything went, and everyone that attended said they loved the venue. Highly recommend!

Oh the Jamies! They are the best to work with. Willing to go above and beyond to ensure our wedding reception was positively flawless. Between the availability to answer all our questions, do a few walkthroughs and always timely responses they were positively wonderful. We wanted a very particular style and theme, and so our custom requests were handled wonderfully! HIGHLY recommend this beautiful space and wonderful decor and people! 😁

We love The Box! The Jamie's are amazing. They're so talented at what they do, from creating the gorgeous space, organizing the tables, bar, coordinating with our other vendors and making everything just the way we wanted. We had both our ceremony and reception here and it was amazing. Jamie is incredibly sweet, and totally understood our vision for our special day. We'd definitely recommend The Box, especially for weddings, our guests kept saying how much they loved the space and the location!

My wife and I hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at The Box MKE and couldn't have been happier!! Jamie was very helpful, easy to work with, and made our day run as smoothly as possible. The Box was a great space to make our own and we really liked being able to have everything in the same spot and being right downtown near downtown was a plus. Jamie worked with us and our other vendors to help create a lovely display and setup that made the night go off without a hitch. Andrea and I would both highly recommend holding an event or wedding at The Box MKE. Jamie and her staff will work with you to make your event perfect!!

I wish I could sum up how incredible our wedding was at The Box. We all dream about how our wedding day is going to go; but ours went even better. We had both our ceremony and reception here and it went amazing. The venue itself is so beautiful, the lighting, the decorating, the location; but what made it so perfect was the people who run it. Jaime and Jamie made our day run more smoothly than we could have ever imagined. The bartenders were incredible and kept up with our boozey group (😂😂). Jaime was great at helping us get decorations situated, our caters, and our guests. A few days later we're still getting raving reviews about the venue; 'cozy, beautiful, personable, modern, and perfect' are a few of the words people used when describing the venue itself. I will recommend The Box MKE over and over to everyone. Thank you for making our day so special.

We had our wedding (both the ceremony and the reception) here and it was AMAZING! Jaime and Jamie are the best! The venue was gorgeous, everything was set up beautifully. Our day of was seamless. The staff was organized, helpful, and so very kind to us and all of our guests. It's a beautiful place, run by the best people, with an amazing staff. We wish we could give The Box more than 5 stars. I highly recommend having any event at the Box.

I recently held my wedding reception at The Box and it was incredible! Any time I had a question about anything both Jamie and Jaime were able to answer it in a timely fashion and give me detailed responses. They covered everything I could think of and made the planning process simple. The night of our reception they ensured everything ran smoothly, were professional and executed perfectly. I fell in love with the look and vibe of The Box, but really their owners and staff made the event go off without a hitch. I would highly recommend this venue for any event/wedding in Milwaukee.

Wow- where do I even start. The Box MKE was above and beyond exceptional wedding venue. Jaime helped me create a perfect place for my day. She was extremely knowledgable and creative in creating a custom plan for my husband and I. The venue it's has so much character that we really didn't need to decorate much. Cream-city brick, hardwood floors, candles, natural light, lounge areas- I could go on and on. From start to finish The Box exceed every expectation I had for a venue. I would highly recommend booking here!

The team was excellent to work with! They had complete understanding of our vision for our wedding and without micro managing or having to give exact direction they brought everything to life. The space is beautiful, the ability to work with your own food vendors and create a space that works with your style was a selling point for us. Day of staff was friendly and execution of the day was flawless, I am thrilled we selected The Box to host our reception and would do it again in a heartbeat!

We hosted our daughter's wedding ceremony at The Box this past weekend. Working with Jamie Berger was an absolute joy. She was so accommodating, had great insight for setup and was so helpful with decisions at Rehearsal and a major player on Wedding Day. Jamie has a warm personality mixed with humor that chased all my anxiety away. We had a wedding party of 16 in addition to the Bride and Groom and had seating for 170 at the Ceremony and the venue was plenty spacious. I would highly recommend The Box for an event and couldn't be more pleased with our experience.

Beautiful space but the acoustics are such that you can't have a conversation with someone standing right next to you when more than a few dozen people are in the space. The other person's voice gets drowned out by the echos of other conversations.
