Candela La Brea is hands-down the best venue I have ever worked with in my time as a professional Event Director. Omar and his team are among the best in this business because they truly care and want your event to be successful. They are a literal dream to work with. They offer a beautiful space that can be transformed into just about anything with state-of-the-art A/V systems and screen projections. They are able to offer many things in-house that you would otherwise have to find with outside vendors. Their kitchen is top-notch and the bartenders know how to make your guests happy. They are flexible and easy to work with from the first moment you meet them. On top of all that, their prices are reasonable and the quality you get back is worth what you pay. I am so grateful to Omar and his entire team for being such a pleasure to work with!

This place is huge. Rare to find such large drink spot, especially wine bar. You wouldn't know it from the outside because it's just in a strip of other restaurants and below Equinox. You have to walk downstairs and it's pretty bougie once you're inside. First came here on a friday night and there was a DJ (wut) and some visiting MBA class from England was there partying it up. It honestly was a great time. They have champagne flutes too. Came back for a team happy hour and was able to make a reservation (only a week before).

We had a really tough time finding a space for our wedding reception. The minute we walked into Candela La Brea, we knew it was the place for us. Aside from Candela’s modern look, it was already equipped with a bumping sound system, great lighting, projectors, tables, and really great furniture. We worked with Omar, Maria, Fabiola, and several members of the Candela team. Everyone was so great and accommodating from beginning to end. There were a lot of details to get through and a lot of back and forth for so many things and Omar and the crew made the whole process so smooth for us. We had to postpone our wedding and Omar and Candela worked with us to switch our date without a glitch, which was truly appreciated. We wanted our wedding celebration to be a PARTY, and Candela ended up being everything we wanted and more. We had about 165 guests and everyone fit perfectly, with a huge dance floor right in the middle. Our guests raved about Candela’s food, drinks, sound system, and how beautiful the venue looked. We rented out the front space for our cocktail hour and our guests moved into the main room for the rest of the night. We will always remember walking into Candela on the day of our wedding and seeing how beautiful everything looked from our vision finally coming together. We are so grateful to Omar, Maria, and everyone at Candela for being one of the big reasons that made our wedding day so memorable and special.

Everything was delicious!!! They have amazing drinks and if you don't like alcohol try the piña colada it looks like a smoothie. Every employee there are polite and respectful. I really recommend it!!!!

We worked with Omar and his team to host our 10 Year High School Reunion and it was the most amazing event! It's a popular event space, so be sure to secure it in advance (we were lucky enough to secure it with only 4 months lead time). We had about 160 attendees and the half room worked perfectly - there was more than enough space for people to eat, move around, dance, get drinks at the bar, and just stand around and talk without it feeling crowded. We opted for the taco buffet and it tasted great. Omar and team were so accommodating and worked with all of my crazy requests, as well as with all of the third party vendors we hired (photobooth, casino tables, etc). It’s the perfect place to host your grad party or high school reunion or any other social event. 100% would definitely recommend. Thank you Omar & team!

We ordered almost every taco they had and tried them all. Overall the tacos were good, but not quite on point. The Colorado flavor needed some spice. One of the chicken tacos was very dry. The asada tasted more like the grill than the meat itself. The carnitas was wonderfully juicy, but had no flavor. Most of the issues could be solved by adding one of the 3 salsa they brought. Also the al pastor was really good.

We don't miss taco Wednesday at Candelas. Everything on the menu is incredible, some of if not the best most consistent tacos in town. Happy hour is great, and the staff is so kind they make you feel like family.

Went to the smaller restaurant, not the party-hall. The waitstaff were a little slow to take our order, and the food took its time to come out (45 minutes). The drinks were good, but not innovative. The food was good. The staff is also accommodating of groups and when we called ahead they reserved us a table.

I visited this place for a party that was held for a club. Although we did not use the main room and used the smaller room overlooking it, I had a wonderful experience. There was a bar with a variety of drinks and the colourful yet dim lights that lit up the whole place made for a romantic and electric vibe. The sound quality of the speakers was also amazing, it almost felt like we were in a club. The furniture and decorations of the whole place also greatly compliments the electric ambience. Therefore, I would highly recommend this place to host events, particularly parties.

$1 Tacos! Great service, all the time. Never had to wait to be seated for very long. Just saw the ballroom for the first time and it's huge! I hurt myself and one of the food runners (definitely a part of the great service before this) was very quit to grab some peroxide and a band-aid. Excellent Mexican food and super friendly staff! I've been coming here once a week for the past month and I have to say their quality is superb and constant. I worked almost 20 years in restaurants and I know how hard that is to do and they never disappoint. I'm very impressed by Candelas and Hector the bar tender takes care of you. Amazing food here the tacos well worth the prices and drinks are too done well. Taco Wednesday is the best time to come and it honestly has a feel of a welcome home place to eat with the family even the owner walks around making sure your well taken care of and that your enjoying your meal.

This place has a fun vibe and tasty tacos and margaritas. The value was great and we enjoyed their happy hour and Wednesday $1 tacos. Parking is awful, especially Aarons happy hour. I came at 430... before their valet starts (around 5) and planned to stay after 6 (when street parking closes down- No parking on side streets after 6). I found parking a block up the street in a parking structure-- try that if you end up here at an awkward time. Otherwise, time trip for the valet! The food was great and the service was pretty good, but that parking situation means that I will be unlikely to return.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there is no parking but you can always use valet and is affordable.

We had a company party there for 150-200 people, it was spacious, we were only using 3/4 of the ballroom. I don't know if our company was cheap or too poor, but they only bought us one drink, we had to buy our own drinks if we wanted more. It was pricey as heck. The water was free, though. I had to go to bevmo buy my drinks there and drink outside like some sort of lawbreaker, what I spent for four people would have only afforded me one drink. Food was good.

My family and I went to Candela for my nephew's birthday. Dinner was delicious! Our server was just okay. I felt somewhat ignored because there was a huge party next to us. All the servers seemed to focused on that party. i ordered the salmon tequila and it was very good! The live music was great. The four stars is for the food and the ambience.

Every time I've been here has been awesome! It's so welcoming to frequent a place, and be greeted by name by practically everyone who works there. Taco Wednesdays are the best- phenomenally delicious! Drinks are very refreshing, too! Their service is top notch! I enjoyed having my b'day party happy hour there, and would have it there again in a heartbeat. Candela's is a hidden gem- you'll definitely enjoy your visit!

Great happy hour. Staff is super friendly and the food is good to boot. I love their veggie tacos...potato is always on the menu. But they run a special taco either daily, weekly or monthly...cant remember...too many HH Margs! And it's right next door to the Goodwill, which you should hit up before HH so you're not Drunk Thrifting, take it from someone who knows!

We got married here on June 15th, the food was DELICIOUS! We had chicken and also had barbacoua. We were a bit nervous because we hadn't ate from the restaurant prior to the event. But man oh man! It was so good. Not to mention how attentive the staff was with everyone. Constantly walking to take plates and refill drinks. Just amazing team! Omar and Hector are suck sweethearts! Everything about this place is amazing! In house lighting, sound, furniture and much more!

The staff are very accommodating and will offer help if you're lost on what would be best for your event (like I was). I highly recommend hosting an event here the venue is beautiful and the food is delicious!! Definitely would consider having an event here in the future.

One of the best venues in the LA area! We were looking for a venue to host our wedding reception. After looking at a few venues we weren't convinced with the look or price. We finally stumbled upon Candela La Brea and we fell IN LOVE with the modern look and all the in house equipment they have (lighting, sound, some tables, couches, etc) Prior to the event day Omar was taking care of us. He was PHENOMENAL, he went above and beyond in order to make our event happen. Then Hector, on the day of event took GREAT care of us. Very attentive and willing to do anything in order for us to have a great time. Highly recommend this venue for ANY event. Thank you for the beautiful place!

My mom and I came to Candela a few months ago, it was my first time but not hers. She was saying how great this place was & we should go. Well we went during a happy hour and I fell INLOVE!! the shrimp tacos will change your life lol the mini taquitos were a little taste of heaven in your mouth. Can't believe something so tiny would pack so much flavor. I was so full I couldn't even finish them all!! I was so upset I couldn't finish them because they were that good. The margaritas are worth the order with a powerful kick!! Yummy yummy! I can't believe this was right under my nose and had no idea! It's so nice in the inside the vibe is definitely great. I love little gems like Candela! Not to mention they have another section next door for bigger events! This place rocks!! Thank you for your great service!! Our waiter was a cutie too! The ladies are also adorable! 😘
