Reviews of The Bernice Garden
The farmer's market experience on Sundays speaks to my soul. Fresh produce is just the beginning. Natural haircare products, herbal tea, fresh granola, art...the list could actually go on and on! It is a beautiful experience.
It's a little hard to see from the street, so in this case watch carefully. Parking is somewhat limited, but that's pretty much everywhere in downtown Little Rock. We took a self-guided tour. If you aren't familiar with the plants, I suggest you use an app like Picture This or Bixby Vision to help identify the plant. If you're hungry the River Market is nearby, as is Community Bakery. Sometimes you can also find a food truck on or near the premises. On to the garden itself. I found it well maintained and quite peaceful for a downtown garden. It is not as big as I expected but if you have children or elderly family members with you, that could be a plus. It was a cold fall day when I went. I would love to visit the garden again in the spring! There are a few homeless people around, so just be aware of your surroundings and choose an appropriate time for your visit.
I stumbled across this place by accident while I was getting gas at E-Z Mart and I heard drums playing... Being a musician I had to go check it out. I'm a guitarist and not a drummer. I definitely have no rhythm when it comes to drums. But these guys are up there every Saturday and they were super nice about just handing me some drums and letting me try to jam with them for a little while. I had a great time and I hope to go back again on another Saturday. They said they are up there pretty much every Saturday. Lots of fun and it's kid friendly!
The reviews are all over the place, but here's mine. Not at all what I expected of a "botanic garden". Very small piece at the end of a strip of town. Interesting enough and clean, but not something you spend more than 5 minutes doing on a regular day. Based on other reviews, it looks like a cool space that people play music and host small events, but if you're just looking for something to do in Little Rock at a random time, this probably isn't it.
Really like this place, whether its when they have food trucks or farmers market. Love the live music, a lot of talent there. Close to some cool shops.
We used Bernice Gardens for an evening event this past week. The management team made every accommodation we asked for. They were super professional. It's a great location for a daytime or evening event - so pretty and clean! We will definitely use the venue again in the future!
Good vibes great atmosphere. Love it!
This is a great addition to the downtown Soma area. Lots of seating, some sculptures, and flowers. It is kept clean and is well maintained. I love that this is available since Loblolly is right there but with limited seating, we end up at the garden.
Wonderful gathering place for local artisans to show and sell their craft. Beautifully maintained and kept very clean. A bright spot for local happenings all over south of main.
Nice, calm, attractive environment. Waiting to catch public transport vehicle to whisk me downtown. Not noisy or crowded. Sat and collected my thoughts on a comfortable Saturday morning. In the vackground, bongo players, not too loud, just right.
This here place is what I like to call the garden of recognition and peace. Was just there around 3 days ago. I enjoy going here basically because every item there has a connection with all things that's in that area 🤔 So Be it😉 as I was saying everything there shows a form of spiritual dedication and I enjoy going there listen to the soft music and watching the animals fly crawl and of course jump from tree to 🌲 all in all I like to keep in touch with such said places. It's in my Spirit to do so. And thinking on the spiritual subject, It's getting about round the time to check the locks foundation. I have one on the channel lock post also 😁😉😇💂🕴️👣💨
Drove around site seeing all day. It was surprisingly smaller than we thought. The garden was beautiful, very well planned and kept. Enjoyed the art, also well maintained. Clean, peaceful, creative space.
Great little sculpture garden in Little Rock.
Neat area for vendors to pop up. Close to various restaurants. Very shady and well lit.
The Garden was fun tonight with a 70's theme and Disco music. Lots of folks who were too young to remember the decade were dressed for it and having fun!
Sharon and I danced a bit and smiled the whole time. Join us next time!
Great sculptures, hosts neighborhood events.
Farmer's Market on Sundays. Great atmosphere. Dog friendly. Grab a Buffalo Brewing beer and shop for your favorite foods. Find Wye Mountain Mushrooms, JV Farms bratwurst and pastured pork, Farm Girl Meats whole chickens and breakfast sausage, Fresh Roots Farms microgreens, and all the seasonal veggies you can imagine. A great place to gift shop too! Check out the Jeff's cutting boards and wooden spoons. Get a growler of Lively Brew kombucha to take home with you.
I love the farmers market here on Sunday!!!!! I come every week. They have a lot of stuff. Eggs, meats, veggies, fruits and, homemade items like breads, cakes and soaps.
Very cool 😎 Went to the farmer's market and it was great 😁👍 …
Love the natural architecture of the covering. The vendors are all so nice and accommodating and I can't wait until the holiday markets!
Friendly vendors, small crowd, delightful way to spend a few hours on a Sunday. Wonderful selection of produce and gifts.
Was around the area but missed the farmer's market this last time, but I LOVE it here and the events hosted here. Diverse and welcoming always
Good place to paint :)
Best local/farmers market in town!!
Lived the art sculptures. There were homeless people here during the day but had no problems with pan handlers. Just took some photos and moved on. I would no go at night.
Excellent Family Market in Farmers Market on the weekends pretty much everything organic and of course if you're only low income and got snap assistance you can buy FDA approved snap only vegetables and produce get two for one that's a good deal it's the way the government and Congress have decided to make you eat healthier and you will get that kind of deal at the Farmers Market
Very cool little niche in the middle of town. Unfortunately there were homeless people everywhere, laying on all of the art and benches. Very interesting visual stuff though.
it is an amazing place but there is literally like 20 homeless people there at all times I don't have a problem personally with homeless people but I could see it warding off potential visitors
Nice place to take kids walk around or just chill. Beautiful Rosemary plants fills the air with such a pleasant aroma.
Always something happening on the weekends. Art markets on Saturdays and farmers market on Sundays from 10 to 2. Also a great place to hang out among the sculptures and artistic pavilion.
Not really what I was expecting there was a Latin festival going on my wife fell in love with a carved wooden turtle the size of a quarter when I asked the price....12.00 but the wife gets what she wants
Very interesting place. Neat bench with 11 boots under it. I'm curious as to why 11. The stand with all the padlocks on it leaves me with questions as well.
Great place to walk with kids. Love the art work. Farmers market on the weekend end Is wonderful. Great part off the community
we looked all over for a wedding venue, then this opened and my wife was hooked, the rates were beyond reasonable and it worked out beautifully, we were the first couple to use it for our wedding
This place is AMAZING. Always have great, free events and the Farmers market is the best in town.
Lovely place to sit and look at Nature and Plants. Sculptures are beautifully unique.
It's a wonderful wonderful place for family-oriented events I will be facilitating drum circles for children there starting in August
Amazing meeting/gathering space in the heart of Soma. Home to farmers markets, vintage markets, and a dozen or festivals throughout the year.
Absolutely loved the small town feel with local products ranging from lotions to produce to kombucha to beer!
Was Incredible. Would'v Loved To of Met The Owner. Had Stopped There Last Night While Riding My Bycicle Across Country.
A real gift to the neighborhood. Lots of activities take place there but it is worth a visit just to see the sculptures.
Never knew this place was there. It was cute, quaint and enjoyable. Small farmers market with local venders.
Not sure why it's called GARDEN. I think a stand would be a appropriate. There was no such thing as garden, at least not when we visited
Love the farmers market! I get my produce here every week that it's open.
Lovely sculptural and botanical garden with frequent farmer's market, food truck, music, and community events. A local treasure!
There needs to be a place like this in every neighbor. Great place for families and friends to gather. Love this place!
Cute, but MUCH smaller than you can tell from the website and not much to see. What is there is very nice, though!
Great variety of fruits, vegetables, baked goods and even doggy treats and fresh-cut flowers! 😁 …
Such a neat place to stop and enjoy.
Would be better if it wasn't a homeless hangout.
Wonderful array of local produce and crafts. Great atmosphere.
Great neighborhood pocket park used for local farmers markets, etc . Cool pavilion too.
I love the area, especially during certain events such as Africa Day.
It's peaceful and beautiful
A beautiful oasis, in the heart of SOMA! A must see. Art installations, and, even, Sunday Farmers market!
Very nice place in the middle of the city. Nice spot for events
Went here during the Cornbread Festival. Well kept, very nice atmosphere in this part of The Rock.
It's nice. But small, few events going on, did I mention it small
