Stunning place. Being ballroom dancers, we stopped on a Friday morning just on the chance that we could see the place. Doors were unlocked, so we entered. Don't try the stairs... use the elevator. The facility is used mostly as a rental venue for weddings, and was being set up for one tomorrow. The manager, Craig, greeted us and not only welcomed us for photos, which he took, but gave us a tour which included the backstage door upon which two workers had recorded their ratings of musicians almost a century ago. The floor in this place is phenomenal. Rated by Lawrence Welk as the most comfortable dance floor in the world, due to its 1x6" boards (on side so the surface boards are 1" wide & 6" deep) twice suspended, the floor is circular. Unlike any I have ever seen. They have public big band dances 6 times yearly. We have put it on our bucket list. The ceiling has starlight optics and a moon. Check the photos on their website. Magnificent.

Great time at the Indiana Roof Ballroom during their Big Band Dance Series. Performing was Lonny Lynn Orchestra. Ballroom dancing included swing, rumba, waltz, tango, foxtrot and the cha cha. Band was very good, wish they were better at announcing what type of dance was next. Maybe 60-70% of the time there was an announcement. At times it was a bit crowded and chaotic. Beautiful location, definitely go if you enjoy Ballroom dancing!

Best Wedding Reception Venue in Indiana, Hands Down! Look no further than the Indiana Roof Ballroom for top notch professionalism from the day you sign the contract until you pay the last bill. No other venue compares in the State of Indiana. Our guests have not stopped talking about our daughter's reception. The lighting, the food, the staff, the coordinator (ours was Kile Shaw), the bar, the set-up, etc. Your guests will tell you it is the nicest reception they have ever been to. We feel like our daughter and now son-in-law, were given a fabulous start to their new life together as a married couple!

Wow!!! Been to the IRB many times over the years. This is the first time that we planned an event there! My daughter recently was married and you all did an amazing job! Kile worked closely with my daughter and her now husband and everything ran perfectly. They are so professional and the evening was magical. So impressed with Kile and the entire staff at the IRB. We received so many comments from friends and family what an awesome job you all did! Thank you so much for making everything run so perfectly!!

I went to the Ymca passover breakfast friday. it was so full of energy. Matt from Sanctus real band was there with his family giving there testimony. Matt sang a song with his son Bowan. A song Bowan wrote and it was amazing. "No tear, No Fear" So beautiful of a time. Hope to go next year as well.

The food and the venue are absolutely stunning. The wait staff are great. At the event, my mom took a bit of a tumble. The head of security did such a great job taking care of her, cleaning her up, and making sure she was okay. It's an upscale place, so any event is going to be ritzy and not cheap. If you have the opportunity to come and experience it, though, you will NOT be disappointed. The only negative I can think of is that the bar staff were not entirely pleasant or put together. That didn't detract from the experience, however.

The IRB is hands down the best venue in Indy for any event but especially weddings. I worked with Kile mainly, but had a lot of interactions with Jeff and Craig as well. Everyone was SO helpful during our planning process and amazing the day of. There truly wasn’t a single hiccup the day of our wedding and they all work so well together. I had so many guests reach out to me after our wedding commenting on the wedding and venue. Can’t recommend The Ballroom enough!

The bands I play in have performed at the ballroom several times. The staff operates the venue in a very professional manner. Their sound system well enhances what the bands play. Their food preparation staff creates good refreshment offerings. The band's gig last night was very enjoyable, and the paying clients seemed to enjoy the event as well.

What an amazing experience we had for our daughter's wedding. Everything about this venue is done down to the detail. Was there for an event put on by IMG. This is an amazing space. The event went very well, the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. The building is beautiful with great character. The domed roof inside is stunning to look at. The whole building was a delight to look at.

There isn't another venue like it...anywhere! It is one of the most unique venues in the city. The lighting is unbelievable and can transform the room into ANYTHING. We've photographed wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, non-profit galas, birthday celebrations, corporate meetings, etc. at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. The staff and ownership at the Roof are some of the very BEST. The food is delicious. We just love photographing here. It is one of our favorites for so many reasons.

I've never experienced a formal event at the quality that the Indiana Roof Ballroom put forth. I've been to three events there and I would be hard pressed to pick which time was best. Staff were friendly and efficient, food was delicious, and the lighting was soft but well-balanced.

Came here for New Year's. Had a great time the food was amazing, the cocktails weren't great but were at least effective, and the DJ they had playing did a phenomenal job. Just don't let your friend drink whole bottle of gin playing drinking games in the hour before you come here. It's just going to end with them shouting randomly as "their song" comes on, but they'd had so much, every song is their song and then they grind on everyone in your group regardless of gender, orientation, or commitment, which will annoy their girlfriend who keeps rolling her eyes and saying, "Oh my god," at everything they do, including talking so much they annoy the uber driver into turning up the radio.

Really nice but parking isn't a breeze by far... Even though I think those gentlemen may had been valet .. That's the rating for time spent looking to park and walking the green mile to get right with Jesus on the way.. LoL
