Where to begin? My initial call with Morgan pretty much cemented my idea to elope. They have a really great set up for coordination and planning, working with you on key options and doing the legwork according to your choices. Jennifer was our concierge and we were in great hands. Our wedding turned out more beautiful than I could have dreamed of. If you want to have all the amenities of a great wedding, but on a small scale this is the option for you (we had no guests). The plus side to this business is that they have connections with wonderful vendors that will not disappoint, and by booking with them you will have an entirely private wedding which was very important to me to feel in the moment whereas many other companies will have your wedding in a public space. Our vendors blew me out of the water. Jennifer worked with me in getting my choice videographer (add-on) and flying him into Kauai from Oahu, Redefined Weddings, and I can not wait to see how it turns out! Our photographer Nicolette with Fotopop made our day with her sweet personality that helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera and capturing our candid moments, I still cry looking at our pictures. Our officiant and musician were absolutely wonderful and even learned the lyrics to sing our song. Jennifer assisted me into getting into my dress (not a small feat) so my fiance would not see me before our ceremony. Needless to say they helped bring my dream vision to life and I am so grateful.

Their team is patient, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about their industry and each island. AND their vendors are all outstanding. Thank you to Modern Elopement and our wedding planner, Jennifer Takenaka for making our wedding stress-free and memorable! Jennifer responded to us in a timely manner and was able to answer all of our questions. She was very professional and so sweet when we met in person on the day of the wedding. We enjoyed working with her and appreciate all of her help! Overall, my husband and I did very little since Modern Elopement was able to take care of everything. We just took care of our attire, travel, and bringing certain documents for the marriage license agent. We got engaged in Feb 2022 and eloped in June 2022 during our trip to Hawaii. We chose the Four Seasons package and had 13 people in our group (including me and my husband). They provided several questionnaires to help us choose what we wanted from a selection of vendors they curated (ie. photographer, music, course menu, florals, type of wedding officiant, etc.). You just have to choose what you want, and they take care of the rest. Our photographer, videographer, officiant, hair/makeup artist, and everyone else involved with our wedding were all friendly and professional. They were also able to make accommodations such as adding a videographer to do a full ceremony video along with the included highlight clip, dietary restrictions, time changes, and more. Just ask! Highly recommend this company to plan your elopement/micro wedding. Give yourself some peace of mind and choose Modern Elopement.

Our first decision when it came to our wedding was 0 stress, we wanted to enjoy the process of being an engaged couple planning our big day, our second was to go with Modern Elopement after that everything became so much easier! Summer from Modern Elopement went above and beyond to make all of our WANTS and NEEDS and everything in between possible. Before them a wedding in hawaii felt impossible, we were in California and I was too big of a stress ball to even try planning this on my own. From the planning to the day of to after the wedding Summer had made us a part and aware of everything: I can’t thank her and the team enough for the day going so smoothly even when there was still some hiccups out of everyone’s control! I had to postpone the wedding once because of covid, but Morgan's team made sure that I still had a great experience. Jade was so friendly and easy to communicate with. My husband and I worked with Summer at Modern Elopement - she is amazing!!! Planning a destination wedding was a piece of cake with her. Summer would follow up with us at key checkpoints leading up to the wedding so we could make decisions on venue and vendors. We had some customization requests that she was able to accommodate as well - such longer video and photography. Don't even know where to begin.. I found Modern Elopement after my fiancé and I decided to last minute ditch the traditional wedding route and follow our dream.. having a micro wedding in Hawaii! This decision was truly made thanks to Modern Elopement. From my initial call with Morgan, and then our planner Jade! Wow.. such a flawless, stress-free experience. Jade took care of it ALL. We loved our Modern Elopement! When our wedding venue accommodations in Wisconsin went out of business, my fiance and I decided to elope to Hawaii and we're so happy we did! It was just the two of us, but we still wanted our wedding to be a special experience to enjoy and cherish. Nicole of Modern Elopement made our day incredible. She took care of everything... the officiant, the flowers, the setting, the music, and the photographer were all amazing. We gave her a little direction of what we wanted in advance and then we simply showed up to our dream ceremony. Best part was that Nicole immediately felt like a friend. Modern Elopement helped us plan our dream elopement on the Island of Oahu! What immediately drew me into the company was our initial phone call, I could tell that they were so passionate about weddings! I also liked that they had "lookbooks" of options that you could pick from like flowers, locations, dinner, etc. The lookbooks helped me visualize exactly what our big day was going to look like, which was very important to me. I also added some custom things like a custom cake, dinner reservations, and first dance, and they were extremely flexible and willing to accommodate requests. This took the Elopement to the next level because those custom touches are what make the day even more special. Nicole was our wedding planner, and by the end of our wedding day, we were sad to say goodbye! Throughout the process, we felt like we were old friends; she is such a genuinely sweet person! On the day of the wedding, we had rain, and Nicole managed to calm me down when I arrived at the venue. She also bustled my dress after the ceremony, which was a lifesaver. I was so worried about that! If you are on the fence about eloping, I would plan it with Modern Elopement, we have no regrets and were able to celebrate with 17 of our closest family and friends in paradise!

I cannot thank our coordinator Jennifer at Modern Elopement enough for creating a beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony for me and my husband at Four Season’s Ko Olina, HI. We wanted to keep our event small, and we had debated between a larger affair with our family and friends on the continental US versus celebrating with our parents somewhere fun and tropical. We decided upon an elopement, and I am so happy we made that decision. It was super easy and stress-free! We made selections through online questionnaires to tailor the ceremony and reception dinner to our preferences (there were several options to choose from in terms of flower themes, photographers, etc.), then communicated via email to clarify certain details. It was an option to make more personalized selections for an extra cost if that matters to you, but my husband and I are easy-going people who don’t take much joy in planning elaborate events, so this was just perfect in that we could pick and choose what we wanted or did not want without added hassle. Everything came together beautifully, and we will cherish the memories forever! Shout out to our officiant Grant, ukulele player Jeremy, and our photographer Megan Moura who took the most stunning photographs to help us remember the day!

We still can’t believe how gorgeous our wedding ceremony was with Modern Elopement! Kayleigh and company really executed to make the whole process streamlined and stress free. We honestly didn’t know what to expect, all we needed to do was show up to Hawaii and enjoy the day. I recommend people who are trying to elope with a small intimate setting to choose Modern Elopement. Their packages are easy and they are always available anytime. We still can’t believe the cost of it all either. The cost of our wedding would have been equivalent to the catering cost if we stuck with a wedding in Los Angeles. Thank you guys!

Our experience with Modern Elopements was absolutely amazing! When we arrived at our wedding we were COMPLETELY blown away how gorgeous the venue was. Kayleigh helped us throughout the entire process. She is really sweet, responsive, organized, and VERY good at what she does. The thought of having someone else plan and be in charge of every aspect of our wedding was difficult at first, but having Modern Elopements take over was the best decision that we made. They do a great job at keeping things simple and streamlined yet beautiful and personal. The flower arrangements that Passion Roots made beyond exceeded our expectations and were breathtaking. Cheryl Hazelgrove did a fantastic job with my hair and makeup. Amber from Schyne did our photos and they turned out amazing. Every one of our guests was amazed at how calm we were on our wedding day, how perfectly the day went, and how absolutely beautiful the venue was. We have two families to bring together, one from Vancouver, BC and one from Brisbane and all the logistics of sorting out the perfect wedding and not being able to be in Hawaii for the planning stages was well over our heads. From the first inquiry, to the multiple choice wedding planning guide (hello easy!!), to the whole day coming to fruition above our wildest dreams...thank you thank you ME. Nicole was our amazing wedding concierge and I felt like we were best friends when we met (moments before I walked down the aisle) who had been sending each other emails for months! She is a natural at her job and I just felt like “she had us!” I didn’t need to worry at all because she handled Every. Single. Detail. So we could just enjoy it ALL. I truly keep reliving our day over and over and being overwhelmed at how it all unfolded better than I could’ve ever imagined. The options and vendors they have for you to choose from are the BEST on the island so you cannot go wrong. The locations are beyond. This is really the easiest way to get married - there's a few items they'll need your input on, but for the stress-free bride, this is the experience you're looking for. Not to mention, these have to be a collection of the most stunning weddings put together on the Hawaiian islands. The coordinator I worked with, Kayleigh, is absolutely amazing as well. She's a total ray of sunshine and she thinks of EVERYTHING! She had pins for my hair and lipstick for touch up before my dinner and after photos (I was a mess after our photos). I was blown away by this small gesture! Every vendor you meet / work with / whose work you see is really ridiculously talented and fantastic at what they do. If I had known how everything would have been 100% perfect the day of, I would have relaxed a little more ;) Not to mention how crazy affordable the whole experience really is compared to what you'd pay for a wedding of the same quality on your own. The vendors and locations organised for our elopement where sensational and so helpful.Our photographer and make up artist were such a joy to meet i couldn't have asked for any more for our big day. Communication can be drawn out if your in AUS due to time difference and can sometimes feel a touch stressful but rest assured you are in the best hands.Nicole will always reply and make sure she has everything perfect, confirms exactly what you have asked with answers and even mood boards to ensure your both on the same page and is more then happy to Skype to ensure your calm and confident and totally stress free exactly as a elopement should be!
