LOVE LOVE LOVE. I had my wedding here and the whole experience was 5 stars from start to finish. I had a wedding scheduled that ended up getting pushed back a year due to COVID, and they made the transition seamless. Literally from top to bottom, would recommend.

Very nice venue for wedding! Our friend’s daughter and her groom we’re married there over the last weekend. It was 90+ Degrees outside. Yet, inside the former furniture manufacturing building,, it was a very comfortable 72° or so. The rustic feel, given the original polished shop floor, Massive wooden support beams and exposed, ceiling joists with the glitz and glamour of the really cool lighting, made this a perfect venue. As I was a guest, I know nothing about the pricing. However, if we were looking for a wedding venue in the area, this would be at the top of our list.

I have worked with the staff at the Goei Center for several events and I am continuously impressed! Our primary contacts were Kylie, Katie, and Jaihla. This team is extremely professional and quick to answer questions. The venue is also amazing! I've utilized both the Kindle Room and Goei Center, and both rooms/areas are beautiful. The other venue staff were also helpful and very professional. The bartenders are friendly, the AV technician was super knowledgeable, and every time we host an event here I know we are in good hands. I plan events for a living, and the venue staff really does make a difference. If you're looking for a unique, friendly, and professional venue in West Michigan- look no further!

Goei Center is a beautiful industrial chic wedding venue near downtown Grand Rapids, MI. The staff is attentive and professional. The Koi Pond and water feature are wonderful focal points. Definitely recommend!

Throughout the entire process, the team there has been nothing but nice, efficient and very timely with their responses! It’s been easy to work with them, especially Kylie and Katie on planning a stressful process. They were very understanding and accommodating as well! Highly recommend this place for any events as well, not just weddings!

We had our wedding here and gotta say it was one of the best wedding ever! That's not just me saying that, but a lot of our guests too. Would 100% suggest getting married here if you want an indoor wedding in Grand Rapids. Hire The Magic Shuttle buss for transportation as they were the best to deal with and made the transportation fun and easy.

We had my daughter’s wedding reception at the Goei Center on Dec 3. Everything was beautiful! They had it decorated for Christmas, there is a beautiful bridal suite, and the entire staff was awesome to work with! Would definitely use Goei again! Thank you for everything!

I can’t say enough amazing things about the Goei Center!! From the moment we scheduled our tour with Kylie up until the very end, even after, it was nothing but a positive experience!! Kylie & the team answered any and EVERY question I had (no matter how many of them I had!). From floor plans to doing our bar intake sheet everything was such an easy process. Kylie & the team were all so helpful especially hanging out TWO neon signs we had! Day of everything was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend the Goei Center, from the unique koi pond, to the multiple ways to set up your ceremony, the bar, chandeliers, reception area, even all the comfort seating it was everything I could have dreamed of and more! Not to mention the AMAZING bridal suite that is perfect for all the candid pictures while getting ready!

What a fantastic building for events of all types! It is simply massive and has that old school charm with modern touches in a redone factory. The wood floors are beautiful, the walls are redone, and this building features a decorative style that is modern and nice. I would recommend this for large events (I came here to participate in a local entrepreneur booster program and contest for Spring GR and StartGarden). There is a huge Koi fish pond of 5000 gallons or so and skylight type nook in the back and another large fountain water feature on the other side I particularly enjoyed. Wedding receptions, business functions, contests, and events would be well suited to take advantage of this facility.

This day was everything we wanted/needed it to be. Looking back on the only disappointment I truly have is there just wasn't enough time! The actual venue is classically beautiful, holding ample people comfortably. The flow of the space is awesome, accommodating guests that prefer a more conversational setting vs someone who just wants to dance all night. If you are not sold on this aspect, then the moment you meet Lindsay, the event coordinator, you will see why people rave about hosting an event at the Goei. She and the staff make the event as stress free and organized as humanly possible. I highly recommend!

We used this center for our 16th annual Van Santa christmas party. Food and drinks were great, and the staff is very friendly and kept the place very clean. This place used to be a furniture factory and the transformation to an event center was a pretty good idea. Give it a shot!

Such a beautiful venue! It's perfect for any event that desires a true rustic feel. Parking is available in both the front and the back. It's not a huge space, but it is spacious enough for moderate-sized gathering.

I’ve been here several times for corporate events and wedding receptions. The venue is stunning as it used to be an old furniture factory and the original floors were preserved as well as most of the original brick walls inside. They have a massive Koi pond with a lot of large Koi fish in it. John the security guard that has been there each time I’ve been there is great. Took my kid to feed the fish which he loved and also did magic card tricks. Super nice guy and very accommodating. They have some great bar tenders as well. Lisa and Corey are full of life and bring a great vibe to the bar. Their drink knowledge is truly impressive. I would highly recommend this place for a corporate event or wedding reception. Or just crash a wedding so you can see the place. Just kidding, don’t do that.

The Goei Center is an amazing venue! I can't say enough good words. The venue itself is gorgeous which makes your pictures to die for. The staff is amazing. Lindsay, the event coordinator, is always theres when you have any questions and helps the day flow smoothly. They have a big parking lot for guests, everything on one floor so older people do not need to worry about steps, plenty of space for big groups.... The ceremony set up is so beautiful. My guests had an awesome time. I wish I could do it all over again.

Where do I even begin? My husband Thom and I had our ceremony and reception at the Goei Center 1/7/17. From start of the wedding planning to the very end of our reception it was perfect! Lindsay and Jane made the entire process so simple with quick emails, suggestions, staying in touch with other vendors, to making sure everything was perfect the day of. The venue is absolutely stunning! The entire night we had countless guest compliment on how beautiful and elegant everything was. I could not have imagined a more perfect place for our big day! Choosing the Goei Center as the venue for both our ceremony and reception was truly the best decision we made when it came to our wedding. Right away working with Lindsay was like working with a friend - she is so kind, understanding, thoughtful, and so so good at her job. She worked with us every step of the way, and found quick solutions to any problem that arose during the planning process. Even with her busy schedule we always felt like she truly wanted our day to be perfect. She also coordinated with our other vendors, which made life so much easier. Because of her we did not have to worry about a thing throughout the entire day of the wedding. We really appreciated the flexibility the Goei Center offered us to suit all our needs, and Lindsay gave great advice and recommendations when needed. The entire space was beautiful and better than we even imagined, and we received so many compliments from our guests. The personal details that are important to us were incorporated flawlessly as well! We could not have had a better experience with Lindsay and Goei, and wish we could do it all over again ❤️

Our wedding was beyond perfect. Kylie was helpful, thoughtful and answered every question we had, even if we asked it more than once. The day of the wedding, she was friendly and helped us get things done and answered questions that my coordinators had. She has a great attitude and is super cheerful and fun to work with! The venue itself is HUGE. The reception area easily fit our 12 10-foot tables and giant head table, and I'm sure it could fit more than that. It was nice to have the ceremony and reception all in one place! Lisa and Leesha were also super helpful with our bar needs. We had signature cocktails that were made especially for us, and they let us come in and taste them beforehand, which was really nice! The venue has a cool warehouse feel with the exposed brick and lovely wooden floors. It was perfect for our weird, industrial steampunk wedding, but it would also be lovely for a more classic style of wedding. 5 out of 5!

Gorgeous venue for weddings, celebrations, and what have you. I had the privilege of working on the electrical crew for their recent remodel or addition, not sure which I came on to help at the tail end. But every member of the staff/company I interacted with was very friendly. And in my relatively humble opinion the new banquet hall looks amazing and has great acoustics. Oh yeah and the lighting is pretty top notch ;)

I just had my wedding reception at The Goei Center and loved every minute of it! Having two huge rooms to let guests either dance with the live band, or sit and enjoy conversation together was amazing. The wood floors and brick walls made our reception extra magical. Lindsay and the rest of the staff at The Goei Center were super helpful when it came to planning and arranging floor plans. If I had a question or wanted to change anything she was very quick in responding. I'm so glad we decided to book our reception at The Goei Center!

We were there for a wedding reception recently. Was fairly unassuming from the outside, but wow, what a nice place inside! It has a great vibe. Was a perfect size for the number of people that were there. Staff was awesome, food was awesome. There was space for the kids to move about when they got restless (the koi pond helped entertain them as well). A really cool place.

The Goei Center was a PERFECT hidden gem on the West side of Grand Rapids! My husband was very laid back about wedding planning and tended to not care too much about most of the details but when we walked into this venue to check it out, he turned to me and he said "I don't really care about much of this planning, but I definitely want to get married here, please." For him to say that - he obviously loved it! Lindsay, the coordinator, was fabulous to work with, very responsive with emails and all questions. She made everything seamless and go fantastically. Unfortunately, she could not be there on our wedding day, but her intern did an awesome job as well. We have received numerous compliments about our wedding venue from both family and friends. We could not have chosen a better place! I recommend it to everyone when I find out they're getting married!

I do not have enough good things to say about the team at the Goei Center!! My husband and I booked the Goei Center about 2 years out from our wedding date. Lindsey, the wedding coordinator was there every step of the way! I was so impressed with how quickly she responded to all of my questions. It was so comforting to know that Lindsey was behind the scenes of the most important day of our lives. Blake was my contact for our bar service and he was nothing but helpful and responsive and made the entire process so easy! I received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful and unique the space was. I would absolutely recommend this space for any type of special event. The night of, the entire staff made us feel right at home and assisted us with anything we needed. Thank you all for making our night one we will always remember!!

Perfect for weddings! I have been to this venue for 2 wedding and each one was absolutely beautiful. The room is so versitile with a great rustic atmosphere. The old wood floors are balanced well with various plants and a koi fish pond. There is also a lot of light though it the space. I was just a guest so I can't speak to the staff or the requirements to booking the room but as a guest, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The Goei Center is a wonderful place to have your wedding ceremony and reception! Attended a wedding here and its an incredible space. Wide, open, well decorated. Perfect for large families. Only downsides are its tight and hard to find location as well as parking and parking lot. Still a venue worth considering for a private event that provides class and comfort!

The Goei center is a well thought out design and the decor is beautiful. The location is less then desirable and now I understand why security was provided. The staff was top notch and the food was hit and miss. A pasta dish of your choice was prepared for you while you waited. This was a lengthy process for 300 guests , by the end many of the options were gone and they had run out of bread sticks. Now to the main reason for the 3 star. I had bought a amazing dress to wear for this wedding however no one ever saw my dress because myself and MOST guests had their coats on ALL night. The place was freezing!! At some point you would have thought someone from the Goei would have addressed the heat. Clearly by looking around the room it was obvious people were cold. Some were using the candles at their tables to warm their hands! I did ask one of the ladies working if the heat could be looked into, her response was the heat was preset. I did end up finding a thermostat and it was reading 66°, in a building filled with 300 people! The building is very large , open and there are obvious drafts. Dress warm!!

This place does not look that attractive from outside but the moment you step in you will be bound to give jaw dropping expressions.It’s so amazingly adorned from inside that you can’t take your eyes off. Every corner is taken care in a way that you will surely stop to give it a look. I performed there in a gala night and really enjoyed. This a ideal venue for Wedding, Gala dinner or any other big celebrations.

The Goei Center was the first and only wedding venue we looked at before deciding that it was the perfect place for us to get married and host our wedding reception. Lindsay was absolutely amazing right from the beginning! She was prompt to answer all of our questions, no matter the time or day; she made sure we were completely prepared for our wedding day; and she was even there on the day of to make sure the ceremony ran smoothly as well as the reception. We had one mix up with our cake vendor and she even went out of her way to take care of that for us with no issues! She communicated with all of our vendors throughout the process, helping to make everything run so smoothly and without stress. We really appreciate all of your help Lindsay! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator to work with! I have to mention Blake as well, because he was equally as awesome! He took over for Lindsay on the night of our wedding, and made sure everything went smoothly from there. Thank you so much, Blake! As for the venue itself, it was beautiful! We received countless compliments from our guests on how amazing and unique the Goei Center was. The set-up of the venue from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception dinner, was all laid out so perfectly. It was a flawless spot for our New Year's Eve wedding! The Goei Center also hosted our bar. Jane worked with me on the menu and other bar related details, and she was great! All of the bartenders were amazing as well, and Cory especially, was exceptional! My guests loved him! Thank you so much to all of the staff at the Goei Center! You were all so amazing, and you helped create a wedding day that we will remember and cherish forever! We truly appreciate all of your hard work!

I got married at the Goei Center on April 1st and it was easily one of the most fun and memorable days of my life thanks to Lindsay and the awesome staff. Throughout the planning process, Lindsay did a great job responding very quickly to any emails or questions we had. She also did a great job juggling the Goei Center's busy event schedule and allowing us to drop off decorations a couple days before to limit the craziness of bringing things in and out on the big day. Our ceremony and reception went off without a single issue and Lindsay did a really good job coordinating with different people we had at our wedding, including DJ, officiant, band, caterer, and cake chef. I would definitely recommend this space to anyone looking for a cool spot to get married or host a reception in Grand Rapids.

Our nonprofit held our fundraising banquet at the Goei Center this spring. I loved working with Lindsay, she was very helpful, flexible, and responsive to our unique needs. We had almost 300 people there, and our guests enjoyed the spacious reception area before moving into the banquet room. We love the West Side and the Goei Center is one of its hidden gems!

Our daughter's reception on 2.11.17 was absolutely perfect at the Goei Center and much of the credit goes to the event coordinator, Lindsay Lieffers. From the very first meeting, she gave us confidence that she would partner with us to make everything beautiful and over the course of seven months of planning, she did not disappoint. Every email was promptly responded to, every meeting she presented attention to detail, and every phone call was handled graciously and competently. Prior to booking at the Goei, we visited other venues and no other event coordinator even came close to measuring up to Lindsay's classy competence and first rate service.

Goei is a very fun, unique venue. There are push button automatic doors on the exterior of the building, and most (if not all) of the restrooms are single user, handicap accessible, unisex, and there is at least one with a changing table. The floors are original to the building, meaning they have a lot of "character..." Aka they are made of varied materials and change levels at random throughout the space. Any significant variance in level is marked, but the floors could prove difficult to navigate for a person who is visually impaired or requires mobility aids such as a cane or walker.

My husband and I just threw our Son & Daughter in laws wedding, along with her Mom at The goei center last weekend! I can't say enough wonderful things about the entire experience! Of course we knew we loved the venue, but the way it was ran, set up and executed was beyond our expectations! They are professional, helpful and extremely nice to work with. Other than being seated directly under a very large air-conditioning vent and nearly freezing and eating cold food because of it (no one would/could turn it down) it is a good venue for weddings and parties.

The Goei Center is a gem in Grand Rapids' near-west side. The location and parking are very convenient. Best of all is the beautiful facility. The inside of this former furniture factory has been rehabbed to show off the original wood floors, brick walls, and massive wooden beams. A warm and welcoming feel throughout. The "eastern" aspect of the home to Eastern Floral is achieved with their beautiful koi pond and the elegant floral decorations throughout the facility.

when walking through the door of this historic venue you are greeted with wooden floors and original brick walls that have been redone with modern touches. this is a BEAUTIFUL venue and can suit all your needs. the large koi pond is just the beginning of the show stopping visuals around this venue. it felt like in every corner there was a feature to get lost in. secondly the staff are unmatched, it felt like they were there to service every need or want we could ask for. you can tell it is a team that wants to give you the best at every opportunity. i can not recommend this enough just stop in your self and let the GOEI Center win your business

The parking is really terrible. Going to the made market, it seemed all the spaces were taken by vendors. The lot is very muddy and with no thru direction, it's impossible to get out of the lot without hitting something.

Amazing Day Weddings

Being wedding Officiants we see the behind the scenes and managment of many ceremony/reception locations. Rarely do we see one that is what we call "perfectly run" and this is it. What a truly incredible location for a wedding, from start to finish their team was spot on. We at Amazing Day Weddings rate them 100%.

The Goei Center is a beautiful spot for a HS Prom. The staff was incredibly helpful and professional throughout the entire process. That paired with valet parking made it a night to remember for the students.
