I was driving up to a jam packed show at Red Rocks this past Sunday and received a call from my mom who had recently been in the hospital. The lots were all full and I’m not familiar with the area being from TN. To be courteous I thought pulling over to the side would help traffic behind me keep moving along so I could safely take the phone call and traffic could continue. Well I pulled over about 6 inches to far and got my car stuck in a ditch by trying to get out and made it even worse. Not only was it embarrassing but I started to panic and shake that my car was going to flip! It was THAT bad. A security member came up immediately and was concerned yet professional after I explained what happened (mom still on phone!). I didn’t even care about the show at that point, I started to have a nervous breakdown. It took about 15 minutes for ‘Luke’ (larger man with long hair) to talk to me and get me out of a state of pure hysteria, I was shaking and thought I was going to pass out. He assured me everything would be ok and to go and enjoy the show and calmed me down. If it was not for Luke I am not sure how I would have handled this or if another security member would have been as understanding. I found him after the show and he still made me a priority to get the car towed onto the road after the show. I can’t thank you enough Luke, you were phenomenal and professional.

Argus is a fair and friendly company. I'm glad to be a small part of it. My one concern is that a couple of months ago, I recommended a friend who put in more than the required hours of ushering in order for me to get a referral bonus. (I told her I would share it with her.) She is still an employee and has put in many hours at DPAC, the Ball Arena and many sports events. When I inquired about the bonus, I was told that someone else recommended her. That was not true. When I inquired further, I was told that she didn't put my name down. Again, not true. I don't know how it got lost in the process, but I was the one who recommended her. (Maybe, in the intense, yet informative, 3-hour training, she got confused.) She knew nothing about Argus until I told her about it. I will give you her name if you contact me, but I don't want to put it out publicly. I have emails of all the email correspondence concerning it. Thank you for looking into it and reconsidering the bonus. I know the referral system has now changed. The entire management team has been great. In addition, I am especially pleased with Whit Wolanin's expertise, understanding, personality, and patience. Thank you.

I love working at Argus...most people at work at nice, not all co-workers are talkative or friendly, but many are. Most supervisors are nice - the scheduling system took some getting used to at first but it's all good now - seemed to have found my groove there - LOVE working at all the venues around Denver - I have such a cool job ... Hi All, I just wanted to complement "Eddy" who was working the upper Red Rocks parking lot last night (09/07/21) at the Jimmy Buffet concert. After the concert I found that I had a dead battery and a lost key. This is when"Eddy" came to our rescue. Eddy went way beyond the call of duty by providing us a ride to where my extra key was and need drove me back and completed the jump start of my car. I give Eddy the highest praise possible! Great company to work for. They helped me financially in obtaining my merchant guards license. I've been paid for every bit of training offered. Flexible scheduling allows it to be a great secondary source of income. The work is super easy and enjoyable: I love the energy at sports and concert venues. A lot of positions allow you limited view of the events you're working.

Great company! Co-workers, supervisors, and manager are friendly and we always have fun while working at amazing events. The variety of venues works great for scheduling. I'm always asked by patrons "How did you get this job?" I'm lucky!!!

Fun to work for, yes pay is usually minimum but if it's a 2nd job being able to pick when you work is very beneficial. Pretty cool what you get to be a part of and most people are nice, lots of different positions/hours/venues. They also provide paid training and training that counts for your guards license. If you get along with people, are friendly and care about your job things will be good.

I never had any issues with this company as a patron, and frequented many of their venues. Years later I wound up going to work for them and never realized what these people deal with on a day to day basis, drunk drivers, accidents, fights, rude patrons, drug overdoses, and thieves. Being that they deal with all of this you would expect people to be understanding, but not so much.

To respond to the negative remarks. If you don't wear your credentials, you are NOT getting into unauthorized areas, PERIOD!!! Yes, to work downtown town you need to purchase your uniform, but the rest of venues (Pepsi, Mile High football stadium, etc) uniforms are provided for you. There are only 6 venues in the WHOLE city and sounding areas you need a guards lic. If you're worried about the cost, they will take the $90, a little at a time, out of you paycheck. A guard's lic is not required for all venues!!!! Accusing Argus security guards of theft without proof is just an angry patron who may have been escorted out of the venue. This is a fun job with great co-workers.
