Sam is everything you could want/need in a wedding planner! She helped us pull off our dream Sun Valley wedding on a very short timeline (4 months!), and made the process fun while doing it. We trusted Sam's team with all of the details of our wedding - from design to research to vendor management to day-of coordination, and they were pros in all areas. Sam's experience and relationships with vendors are invaluable to anyone planning their Idaho wedding. Everyone involved in our planning process remarked on how much they love working with Sam, and we felt very lucky to have her on our team. We didn't come into planning with much of a vision for our day, so Sam's creative and design process was EXTREMELY helpful for us and made our day so much more beautiful and unique. She goes so far beyond just "planning" and infused personalized design elements that made our wedding our own. We are beyond grateful to the Sprout Design team for everything they did to make our wedding the absolute best day of our lives!

If I had one word to describe our wedding day, the word would be MAGIC. When we decided that we wanted to get married in Sun Valley, ID, we quickly realized that we needed a wedding planner desperately. We are from Portland, OR and having someone who knew vendors in our price range and could guide us through the wedding planning process from afar was critical for us. When we met with Sam Gray via zoom, there was instantly a connection. She was attentive, kind, patient, and listened to all of our dreams and concerns about our wedding day. She wants to get to know you so she can bring your vision to life. From navigating covid, to helping us choose vendors that stayed within our budget, to keeping us on track and on schedule throughout the planning process, to navigating the larger than expected guest count; Sam took on each challenge and surprise like it was nothing. When I tell you that nothing went wrong on our wedding day, literally NOTHING went wrong. And that is all in credit to Sam. In addition to the planning part, one cannot forget about her incredible design skills. Sam is incredibly talented with design. Like I said earlier, she makes an effort to get to know you and your preferences and seamlessly brings your hopes and dreams to life through her design expertise. For example, it was really important for my husband and I to have a memorial table for my dad and his mom. She took that request and created a beautiful space to make it feel like they were there watching over us. August 20, 2022 was the best day of my life and I have Sam to thank for that. Like I said, she is magic.

We can't recommend Sam and her team enough!! We had a long engagement starting in Sept. 2020 and planned our wedding for June 2022. We knew immediately that Sprout Design was the best fit and started working with Sam from day one and felt so lucky to have so much time to work with her. We had a general idea of what we were looking for in our wedding but Sam did an amazing job of refining our ideas, guiding us through the crazy world of wedding planning while keeping budget top of mind and executing our dream day in a unique way that was perfectly "us". We started working with Sam one year before our wedding date and it was the best decision we made. Sam has flawless execution when it comes to handling design, flow and logistics, she took our ideas and brought a vision to life. We were very happy with our wedding weekend and didn't worry about a thing the day of - as type A, planning oriented people, it allowed us to truly live in the moment. Sam took time to get to know us but also adapted to how we wanted to be worked with, which meant she asked a lot of questions, let the two of us drive the plan, pushed us in the the right moments and let us pivot when stressful elements surfaced. She has great relationships, we locked in 5 star vendors based on her guidance and connections and they were all highly complimentary about Sam and her team, and excited to work our event because they got to work with Sprout. If you are planning a wedding in downtown Boise, you are most likely using a venue that is a not a wedding venue, having a professional to bring it all together from venue to rentals to catering and transport was key to making it easy for us, our guests, and making a heartfelt, welcoming, and memorable event. Sam, is the ultimate pro in every way. So sweet, organized, patient, creative, has great taste and reassuring on the front end during what can be a stressful time. Then the lights come on and it's game day and she goes into a whole other gear. She is on top of everything down to the very last detail and makes sure it goes amazing on your special day. I loved the design aspect of it and she killed that part of it. She goes above and beyond in every category. I would hire her again 1000% and would trust her to absolutely kill it regardless of venue, vision, etc. After the wedding I find myself missing talking to her. She is amazing!

Where do i even begin... Sam and her team are AMAZING to say the least! There isn't a bad thing, or even semi-negative thing to say about Sam and her wedding planning process/team. From the very beginning, Sam asked all of the right questions, was highly professional, effective, and timely. When I first hired Sam and the rest of her team to help plan and coordinate our big day, I had no idea what to expect, but holy moly did she blow my expectations out of the water!!! We always stayed in contact, she was always so pleasant and sweet to work with, and when it came time to our wedding day, she had EVERYTHING handled. Me and my fiancé were never once asked about anything on our wedding day, we were slightly panicked because I had no idea what our wedding even looked like, or how it was set up, we simply gave her an image.. and WOW.. she put everything we wanted in the exact place we wanted it to be and more. She even handled "dumb drama" that occurred between guests and family, and had our dinner waiting for us (plated and all) after our wedding photo session. Since my husband and I both own our own companies, and didn't really have enough time to plan out our wedding, especially the little details, our big day would have been a disaster to say the least without her and her team. From the bottom of my heart, I can't begin to say how appreciative me and my new husband are for having Sam and her team plan and coordinate our wedding day. Our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful setting, delicious food and the great service that you and your team provided. We received the glowing feedback from our guests and we couldn't be happier. Samantha and Staff- we can't thank you enough for your hard work on Saturday when we decided to switch the ceremony site inside due to the windy cooler conditions from the lawn area. I was very impressed of how the ceremony went smoothly even though we did the rehearsal at a different area the day before. You did a fantastic job guiding all of us, especially, the flower girl, throughout the ceremony. Our flowers from the vendor you recommended were stunning! The design you prepared especially for our daughter’s wedding exceeded anything we could have ever dreamed of. it just melted our hearts .... Thank you again for your outstanding efforts on Saturday as we celebrated our special day with families and friends. It was a truly memorable weekend for all of us. The food served at Sun Valley Lodge was exceptional. Sam’s reputation with them only guaranteed us a level of confidence. 7. Price point with Sprout Designs was spot on (***NOTE Hands down she was more professional than any other planner we talked with). Excellence to service rendered by Sprout Designs YOU cannot get from any other planner. The respect she has at Sun Valley Resort and other venues speaks volumes. 8. Our family and friends have called, texted and sent emails saying this was the best wedding they have ever attended. Personally, I have never received so many compliments on the details from a wedding. 9. Sprout Designs Staff did not miss a beat during cocktail hour or the reception. Where do I begin!? Hiring Sam to help bring the wedding of our dreams to life was by far the best decision we made planning our wedding. She definitely had her work cut out for her, having to reschedule our wedding three times due to COVID was no easy task as you can imagine, and she handled it like the professional that she is! She made us feel at ease during the entire process, took the time to really get to know us as a couple and absolutely nailed our wedding vision. We had our wedding at the Boise Art Museum and her design not only complimented the artwork, it looked liked a piece of art itself. Everything about our wedding day was perfect! Sam stayed in contact with us throughout the week, with her words of encouragement and excitement as we got closer to our wedding day, helping to coordinate our rehearsal and then planning every minute of our wedding day so we didn't have to worry about it. Sam is so genuine and really cares about making her clients big day as unique as they are. Saying Sam is AMAZING is an understatement! Sam worked with us for almost three years due to covid canceling our first wedding plans! My husband and I tell everyone all the time that Sam was the best money we spent towards our wedding! She is worth every penny and more! We don't know what we would have done without her especially with covid canceling our first wedding plans. She made everything seamless and stress-free which is saying a lot coming from a bride during covid. The biggest compliment we got from everyone about our wedding was how "us" it was. As an added bonus, she never made us feel like we were insane for going for it. We planned an intimate wedding (23 people) in the mountains followed by a reception in Ketchum. Sam and her team are fabulous. When we interviewed Sam for our daughter’s wedding the difference between Sam and the others was evident right from the very beginning. Sam listened intently & focused on our needs and budget. The other wedding planners focused on their needs (ie how much money they would need) & how lucky we would be if we could get them to plan our wedding. Sam is also extremely creative & you never get the feeling Sam is trying to up sell you in any way. If you are having a Sun Valley wedding don’t worry for a minute that Sam is from Boise. All the SV vendors love her. Most importantly, on the day of the wedding Sam provides a calming influence and her crew are so helpful, professional and genuinely nice. I’m just happy when our next daughter gets married in eighteen months we can skip the wedding planner interviews. I don’t know how to write a review that truly reflects how amazing Samantha is, our wedding was just that perfect. When we got engaged we were new to the area. Sam showed us around countless venues, not stopping until we found the most perfect one that was everything we hoped for and more. When it came to curating our vendor team, Sam helped us find the absolute best people. Even if we had lived here our entire lives I don’t think I could have found better vendors. When it came time for our wedding, despite having the most perfect things planned and Sam doing virtually all the work (thank goodness because I had just started my own business here), I was still a little stressed and just kind of going through the motions at that point. People say your wedding is the best day of your life, and I used to roll my eyes at those people. Well, not anymore. Our wedding was so perfect, better than anything I ever envisioned, I wish I could go back and relive it over and over!! It truly was the best day of my life. Sam was an absolute dream to work with. Sam exceeded our expectations for a planner in every way! From our first meeting, she took the time to listen to our ideas and act promptly and effectively to move forward with planning. Her design ideas were spot-on, her follow-through with vendors and ability to schedule and juggle is remarkable. Sam's "day-of" execution for both our Welcome Party and the wedding itself was incredible: she anticipated every possible need, including managing parking, preloading tips for all of our vendors- name a weird thing that could happen and Sam had already thought of it, plus a plan for that eventuality! Her design work warrants a shout-out: Sam doesn't do cookie-cutter weddings. She listens and then provides ideas based on who you are, the feel you're hoping for, and your budget. If you look at photos of Sam's weddings, you'll find the overall look and the lovely details are unique to each couple's style. Give her and your vendors the freedom to create, and you won't be disappointed. If I have one piece of advice it's this: hire Sam and know that you are in good hands. Our wedding planning crew was complicated: I live in Boise, and the bride and groom were out of state with very limited ability to be in Boise during the year prior to the wedding. Most of the planning took place in ONE WEEK during the winter when the bride and groom could be in Boise. Sam gave us her undivided attention that week, and had over a dozen appointments lined up to get everything figured out. She managed this beautifully, and worked with our family (around the country) with clear communication throughout the planning process. For months my friends kept asking if I was "worried about the wedding". I can honestly say I NEVER worried about a single thing, because it quickly became clear that Sam had things well in hand. Sam was such a huge help to us throughout the entire planning process. We loved her design aesthetic and we were very excited to learn that she was available on our date. We were planning our wedding from out of state and at a venue that was basically just an open field, so it was a very daunting task for us. Leading up to the wedding, Sam helped us with everything, from selecting and coordinating with vendors to fitting in all of the random requests we had. She was super accommodating with everything that we threw at her as well as flexible to work with our schedule, including meeting with us on Thanksgiving weekend and traveling to our venue a few hours away! Sam was a dream to work with! We interviewed a couple of wedding planners, but what we loved about Sam was her sweet, kind, and honest personality. She also has an awesome store front, which makes meetings super easy. Our wedding ended up having so many changes this year, but Sam remained calm and professional and ended up exceeding our expectations. Sam is incredible. There's no other way to put it! She handled everything seamlessly. She started by asking a lot of questions to really get to know us and our style and our relationship. That made the whole planning process so special because she could really tailor her recommendations to us! She even built some custom pieces that really pulled everything together. We got married in Sun Valley and she coordinated from Boise and it worked like a charm! I was looking for someone who would be a partner in planning everything and make sure I didn't miss anything and Sam is exactly that! She is very easy to talk to - she is super, super organized and totally put my mind at ease about all the little details leading up the wedding while also making sure I was really excited about everything! On the day of the wedding she was a STAR. She made sure everything went smoothly without taking my time or attention away from the day itself. When we arrived to the tent she was right there with some champagne for us and when I got some chocolate on my dress - boom - she was right there with a tide pen. I never had to go searching for her. I cannot recommend her enough. So incredibly grateful to have had her by my side on the day and leading up to it. She's THE BEST!!!

I worked with Sam for two full years for both my rehearsal dinner and my wedding and she made all of our dreams come true. Not only was her styling and planning top notch, her knowledge of the industry was priceless. Samantha (Sam) and Sprout Design is absolutely amazing! We had Sam as our day of coordinator for our December wedding. She guided us through the process of how to plan for the big day and brought up things that my husband and I never even considered. She was always available for any questions we had and was very flexible with setting up meeting times around my busy school schedule. She was so on top of everything that when it came to the big day I did not have a single worry. We trusted her completely with setting everything up and making creative decisions the day of. We really can't say enough about Sam's organization and direction for the big day, it was a huge help for us obvious newbies. In addition to set up, creating our day of timeline and coordinating with all of our vendors, she and her team help create and get printed all the posters and signs for our wedding at a very short notice. When discussing with our other vendors (caterer, florist, photographer, etc.) they were all very pleased to hear we had Sam as our day of coordinator, because they knew they big day would run smoothly. Final take away: if you are planning some/most/or none of your wedding, a day of coordinator or wedding planner, specifically Sam is well worth it! You'll truly be able to enjoy your whole wedding day because Sam has the details covered! We can't thank Sam enough for making our big day stress free and wonderful.

After interviewing 9 wedding planners and not finding what we was looking for, we found Sam and knew we had hit the lottery. Sam is exactly what we were looking for in a wedding planner--someone who is smart, responsive, and has a positive, can-do attitude. She is a consummate professional. When we had to postpone our 2020 wedding due to covid, she was there every step of the way, ready to talk or text about everything. As an out-of-town bride, it was so important for me to have someone local who knew the ins and outs of everything. Sam has worked with all the local florists, knows the djs, and just about every other important vendor for your day. She was also flexible and easy to work with for our non-local vendors like our photographer, who we were flying out from back east where we currently live. Even though I wanted to do a lot of the DIY myself for signage, seating chart, etc, we opted for the full planning package, and feel it was worth every cent. That said, if you aren't a diy/creative type of bride, Sam is more than able to find and source what you are looking for for those little details. If I saw something inspiring that I wanted to incorporate into our day, Sam was ready to figure out how to do it. By the end of our wedding, we felt like she was family. BOOK HER!

From our first meetings, on through all of our follow up phone and email conversations and then the wedding itself, Sam was a dream to work with. We hired her as our day of coordinator and since she booked another wedding on the same day, her assistant Brittany was there on our wedding day. I really loved working with Brittany but I felt like she could work on her time management and vision skills. She seemed a little frantic while setting up the venue even though we gave her written descriptions and inspiration photos of our vision. And I felt like she could have taken a little more initiative with some of my design elements to more match my vision more closely such as turning the lights down earlier. This is a review I have been so excited to write because I honestly am eternally grateful for meeting Sam and choosing her to coordinate and design our wedding. I will recommend her to everyone and anyone. I stumbled across Sam’s website when my husband and I decided to get married in Boise. We currently live in Seattle but decided to get married in Idaho where my family is. Sam and I chatted over the course of the year, brainstormed ideas and met in person a few times when I would come home to Boise. What caught my attention when I first found Sam was her amazing eye for design and detail. I thought “this is my girl”. She KILLS the design game. I am one of the most indecisive people but Sam was always patient and listened to ideas I had. So besides the fact that she’s amazing, let’s talk about our wedding day. Sam is such an amazing planner that she had a different wedding to attend to on the day of our wedding. But we got two AMAZING people on her team to spend our wedding day with. We had the privilege of working with her husband Don and Kendra. They worked SO hard in making our day perfect. I can’t tell you how relieving it is to be able to show up on your wedding day at the venue and not feel stressed or worry about setting things up. I was able to enjoy the best day of my life with my family and that is something I wish everyone could experience on their own wedding day. What really stood out to me was the fact that Don ran to the store and painted some letters we installed as a backdrop a different color because he wanted to make sure they stood out. I was so taken back by how beautiful everything looked that it was truly an unforgettable moment being able to look around and see all this hard work come together perfectly. They absolutely killed it. DREAM TEAM. I said it before but I am eternally grateful for Sam, Don and Kendra.

I’m from Houston, TX and hired Sam as a day-of coordinator for our wedding in McCall, Idaho. From the second we first spoke on the phone Sam was warm, organized, and so helpful. She asked a lot of questions that I had not considered and helped point me in the right direction when I wasn’t sure who to call. Unfortunately, last year our first planned wedding date occurred during the Hurricane Harvey disaster while I was in Houston so we had to cancel/postpone the wedding with only a few days notice! Cut to our second date for our wedding this year and I finally got to meet Sam and have her make our wedding happen and I am so grateful that we did!
