My now husband and I had our rehearsal dinner in the café and wedding reception in the upstairs ballroom — IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! Every part of The Florentine is gorgeous, the in-house food is amazing, and Will, the coordinator, is super sweet and easy to work with. He will make all your dreams come true. 5 stars across the board, if you are considering The Florentine for anything, GO FOR IT!

Amazing, magical venue with a staff that exceeds expectations! If you are looking for the best venue in Birmingham look no further. Will West and the amazing staff at The Florentine handle everything! Michael Sanchez is an amazing florist and created the exact vision my daughter in law wanted. The food by Coretti Catering was outstanding and the cake not only was beautiful, it was delicious. One stop shop for ease of planning. Can’t thank them enough for making this a wedding we will never forget❤️

My daughter and son-in-law had their wedding reception at The Florentine in June 2022. From the moment we booked the ballroom (a year in advance) until the reception ended, the entire celebration was almost effortless! I love that the Florentine is a one-stop venue, providing everything we needed in-house, eliminating the need for an outside event planner. The Florentine’s talented team included Will West (events coordinator), Michael Sanchez (florist), and Corretti Catering (buffet, wedding cake, bar service, tables, chairs, and linens). I live in GA, but Will and Michael allowed me to meet via FaceTime when I couldn’t be there in person during the planning phase. The ballroom is absolutely gorgeous even in its barest state, so we added only a few floral arrangements, a live band (OPOV), and an amazing photographer (Hannah Miller), to create the perfect wedding reception! Our guests were blown away by the ballroom’s elegance, delicious food, cake, and beverages. I highly recommend this venue!

It was a excellent place. I went there for a wedding reception and the experience was marvelous. They had a great staff and great food, and there was plenty of space. I would recommend The Florentine for any exclusive event. They had an open bar to serve quickly and everyone enjoyed themselves. Parking was easy since there was a parking lot across the street. Just an amazing place.

The Florentine is a wonderful place for a wedding reception! Will (Events Coordinator) was professional and a pleasure to work with from the beginning. Although The Florentine requires you to use their in-house catering, baking and floral services, we found them all to be top-notch and reasonably priced. The classic ballroom was beautiful, especially as the sun began to set and the crystal chandeliers reflected the candlelight on the tables. The table linens and place settings were of high quality. The ballroom has such great bones that not a lot of extra decoration is needed. Michael Sanchez knocked it out of the park with the florals for both the wedding ceremony (at another location) and the reception at The Florentine. Our daughter’s bridal bouquet was one of the biggest I’ve seen and when Michael personally delivered it to her at the girls’ Airbnb that morning, it was such a sweet moment. The arrangements in the ballroom were spectacular and very generous in size and number of blooms. Michael executed what we asked for beautifully, exceeding our expectations! Corretti Catering did an excellent job with the food and the service was great too! We had charcuterie as guests were arriving and then, a buffet dinner. The wedding cake was the best I’ve ever had, and more than one person said the same to me. There was something about it that was oh so good. Rather than have a groom’s cake, we had a cheesecake bar with assorted toppings, and everyone seemed to really enjoy it too. Finally, for a late night pass/snack, we had chicken biscuits. I can’t imagine that anyone left hungry that night. Overall, we had a great experience at The Florentine and would absolutely recommend it!

My daughter’s wedding reception was at The Florentine on December 10, 2022. Everything was absolutely perfect!! Will was so amazing! He was attentive to every detail! The food and drinks were DELICIOUS!! The servers were kind and very helpful! I have zero negative to say about this venue, if we could do it again it would be exactly the same!! Wish I could give them 10 stars!!

Cannot recommend this venue enough. Will West, the ringmaster here, told us from the beginning that his entire job was to make sure that our wedding weekend was as easy as possible and that we would not have to lift a finger. He followed though on that in spades. Great food, accommodating staff, and beautiful venue. I was not aware of a single issue we had and that is either because they do such a good job so there were no issues or because Will and his team are such fine professionals that they were able to handle it behind the scenes. The only reason I’m assigning 5 stars is because 6 is not possible.

Me and my husband got married there last Saturday and it felt like a fairytale from a story book! Will West was amazing! No matter how many times I called and emailed him, he was right there to assist! He was very attentive and patient. I think we need a part 2! We did not want the night to end! The Florentine was the best decision for our wedding reception! Ask for Will West! He will take care of you I promise!!!! Love you Will!!

I am (was) the "father of the bride" and we used the Florentine for our wedding reception a few weeks ago. We could not have been happier with the venue, the service and the overall experience of using the Florentine for our special event. Will was especially GREAT to worth with and he eliminated any headaches you would typically experience with a wedding event. He was always customer focused and took care of any request we had. The food was excellent as well, along with the servers during the reception. I give the Florentine nothing but the highest marks and would highly recommend them!

My first visit to this place was for a Dream Team Party with Church of the Highlands (COTH). I was very impressed. Although, the location doesn't have a parking deck connected to the building, we were able to park in a deck across the street. The atmosphere was very grand. The space was just the right size to accommodate our group. I'm hoping to have other opportunities to visit this place.

Rebecca, Emily and Michael worked with us to create a beautiful and elegant rehearsal dinner, within the constraints of the pandemic situation. The suggestions they made during our planning process were thoughtful and reasonable in terms of final pricing. The food was aromatic and delicious; the presentation was over the top. The Florentine hosted our rehearsal dinner July 10, 2020, apparently the first event allowed since the COVID 19 pandemic. I can not say enough what a wonderful event they created. The food was fantastic. They service was impeccable and the special touches to keep everyone feeling as safe as possible were perfect. They had the tables spaced easily over 10 feet and they seated 6 people at 10 tops for social distancing. They took every participants temperature on arrival and offered masks for anyone who did not have one. So if you are contemplating an event during this pandemic this is the place to have it. My family is all in health care and I can not say enough about how comfortable this felt. We had 54 people attend in a large room with high ceilings and great ventilation. I never felt unsafe. Now on to what has nothing to do with COVID and safety- the staff ( Will and Rebecca) were amazing at helping me plan the menu. They made great suggestions and the food was out of this world. I would highlight the grilled peach wrapped in prosciutto and the Florentine salad. I wanted seasonal dishes and they were extremely accommodating to use local tomatoes, peaches and Brussels. The molten cake for desert was to die for- it is not typical as it has a very nice orange liquor lightly in the ingredients making it very interesting. We had a specialty drink which they did a great job having available to welcome the guests. On to the flowers- WOW! I gave Michael a general idea of what I wanted it feel like when you walked in and he did not disappoint. It was beautiful. So from the organization and the help planning to the execution this was a very wonderful experience - and this was all done during a stressful time of COVID. Plan your wedding reception or rehearsal dinner and you will not be disappointed. LOVED IT!!

Everyone on staff was amazing, and the planner, Will, made what can be a stressful process so fun and easy. Beautiful wedding venue, plenty of room for social distancing. Requires mask and temperature check before entering. The food was fantastic and the service was superb. Just be sure to display your parking receipt or your car WILL be towed, $160+ to get it out of impound.

I had my wedding reception at The Florentine 1/19 and it was absolutely perfect! I cannot recommend this venue enough. They do everything in-house; catering, floral, cake, decor and it is all exceptional. Caroline is wonderful to work with as well! 10/10 would do again.

The building is exquisitely beautiful - the architectural details, the arched windows, the chandeliers, the spacious ballroom and dance floor… this has to be the most beautiful building in Birmingham! From the first time we saw it we knew it would be the benchmark that every other venue would be measured by. Caroline and Rebecca were great to work with and their guidance was invaluable in making our ideas all come together for a truly beautiful and memorable evening. Coretti Catering gets accolades for a marvelous job! The food and display were fabulous, the service was impeccable and the florals and decorations by their in-house vendor (Jackie Johns Florals) were gorgeous. At first we were a little uneasy about not getting to choose our baker for the wedding cake, but they produced a magnificent cake that could not have been more beautiful and turned out exactly like we had envisioned it. If you are searching for elegance, experienced and reputable professionals, fabulous food and one of the sweetest and most helpful planning coordinators you could ever work with, then look no further. It’s not often you look back on such a big event and not wish you’d done something a little different, but I can honestly say, The Florentine made it all come together and we have not a single regret. We couldn’t be happier with our choice; the memories and our beautiful photographs (Rebecca Long Photography) will always make us smile, and we are STILL getting compliments from our guests!
