I'm a local bride to Asheville - my husband and I lived here for 5 years when we began our search for a wedding planner.. Let me just say that Candace at Mingle Events was a DREAM. She was so attentive, available, and focused on bringing our dream day to life. She took care of us at every turn, and was always supportive and honest about things we weren't considering in our planning, which really helped us feel at ease throughout the whole process. We knew that we didn't have to know all there was to know about planning a wedding. Candace did! Our whole wedding party, family, my husband and I felt so cared for all day - she was ON IT. So many people came up to us after the wedding and said she was so helpful and on top of things - we were all so impressed. Candace -- we love you! Thank you for everything!!!

If you are thinking about hiring the Mingle Events team as your wedding coordinator... Stop thinking, and hire them! At first, I thought why should I hire a wedding planner? I was planning to do most of the planning myself. But my venue required at least a day-of coordinator. Mingle Events, actually, came highly recommended by my venue. So I decided to set-up a meeting with them. During our meeting, I found that their 60-day coordination service was the one that best fit our needs for our wedding day. It was a decision I did not regret. My wedding coordinator was actually Candace Hightower, the owner and creator of Mingle Events and I do not know how I got so lucky! She was absolutely amazing. Even though I only had the 60-day service, she was there for me throughout all my planning needs. I couldn't have been happier with the services she provided. She went with us to our walk-through. She knew how to ask all the questions I did not know I should ask. She watched out for us and warned us of all the things we may not need. She helped me with design. On our actual wedding day, she went above and beyond our expectations. She made sure our day went just as we had planned out. No detail was left out. She managed everything so well that if anything had actually gone wrong we did not notice. She truly made us feel like guests in our wedding day and we were able to enjoy and take in every minute of it. There are no words to express how grateful we were for her. Thank you for being a part of our special day and making it be everything we dreamed of and more!

I truly wish there were a rating available higher than 5 stars for Mingle Events- specifically their planner Caroline. She made every single dream of mine come true for our wedding day- even ones that I thought were a shot in the dark. She is a godsend to the wedding planning industry and makes the whole process feel like a well oiled machine (even when I am having bridal meltdown #57495789). You don't even have to stress with her around because she keeps you on track and hones in on what it is you love and care most about regarding your day! She goes above and beyond to make the wedding planning process feel special for the bride and makes decisions less overwhelming. By the time it got to be wedding day, she truly felt like a part of our family (she was in every family group thread at that point) and was an honorary bridesmaid. I did not have to worry at all on wedding morning as she was a fairy godmother running around making all the visions we had talked about for the past year a reality. I truly was able to kick my feet up and see my wedding day become a fairy tale daydream without me lifting a finger. Caroline is worth every ounce and more in gold! I cannot brag enough on Ashley with Mingle, the entire Mingle team has so much experience and knowledge so many connections and resources to help make your event all that you can imagine and more! Our daughter’s wedding was weeks ago and our friends and family are still raving on and on about how beautiful and magical it all was! I have worked with large event planning in the past and with the potential chaos of a guest count near 300 and Ashley never once batted an eye it all went off without a single hesitation she was by our side from start to finish never missing a beat. If anything did not go as planned the Bride and I were certainly unaware as it all was seamless flawless and well organized from the first look to the last dance. What better way to enjoy an event than to actually be able to enjoy the event you have planned rather than having to manage it all yourself. Leslie was amazing with our Brevard, NC wedding. She was the greatest coordinator and we were able to get vintage chinaware and a beautiful blue couch from their rentals. Leslie was so kind, organized, and we were able to have a perfect wedding ceremony without even having a rehearsal because of her direction the day of the wedding! 10/10 Recommend!

Mingle's services were included with my venue's package and I began working with Candace as my Day Of Coordinator 60 days prior to my wedding. Her communication and organizational skills are truly unmatched - she brought all of my planning and vendors together, coordinating a seamless timeline that made our wedding absolutely perfect. Because of Candace our day was so care-free and easy - my husband and I actually got to savor every moment of our wedding! And I haven't even talked about her styling! Our wedding day was a dream. Honeysuckle Hill was the absolute most perfect venue - every detail was considered and handled. Our guests loved the venue - it was stunning and was the perfect space for everyone. The real star was our planner Candace - to say she was our biggest blessing would be an understatement. Mingle Events and specifically Caroline were incredible through the planning process to the day of my daughter’s wedding! Caroline kept us on track with doing as much as we could well in advance so the weeks leading up to the wedding would be stress free! I trusted her experience with all the details from quantities of rental items through the day of event schedule. She was competent, warm, and caring. She was key to creating my daughter’s dream wedding! I didn’t see her much the day of the wedding, but knew she was behind the scenes coordinating everything! She picked up the donuts for the donut wall, was seen sewing a groomsman’s torn bow tie and adjusting the flower dog’s collar bouquet. She even put together a meal for the best man who was too nervous about giving his toast to eat! She instinctively knew everything that needed to be done and when. After lining everyone up outside for the sparkler send off, she went back inside and packed up our personal belongings. She definitely went above and beyond from the minute we met her! I was thrilled late that evening when Caroline sent me some videos and pictures she had taken during the day. So thoughtful!! She also took care of a refund issue I had after the wedding! My daughter had a fairytale wedding thanks to Caroline and Mingle. We feel as if we made a new friend. She is amazing and the best event coordinator you will find anywhere!

Hiring Candace and the team at Mingle was one of the best choices we made while prepping for our wedding. Since our wedding was a destination wedding, Candace was our go-to person to ensure that all local vendors were on schedule with one another for a smooth wedding day. Plus, Caroline made our rehearsal dinner completely stress-free. From helping coordinate the caterer and drinks at the venue, to setting up some decor we gave to her - literally all we had to do was show up. Then, Candace helped make the vision for our wedding a reality and went above and beyond what we expected. When the big day arrived, we were truly able to enjoy every moment because Candace was taking care of all the details and any issues that came up. She brought us food and drinks during cocktail hour while we were taking photos. There were several occasions where she was able to check-in with us and suggest changes to the timeline to keep things rolling. When the night came to an end, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Candace worked with our designated friends and family on the clean up and just sent us on our way with a to-go box of food. Thanks to Candace we will never get to know what wedding stress is. My venue had an all inclusive option, which is the direction I chose in the hopes that it would simplify everything. Through this, I was connected with Mingle and their coordinator, Caroline. They/she was amazing. Extremely responsive, reassuring, knowledgeable, and so friendly! I absolutely loved working with her. We got to be close and continue to talk post-wedding. Candace planned our September wedding at Chestnut Ridge. She was our month and day-of coordinator, but she was honestly so much more. Ashley and Candace of Mingle Events did an outstanding job with our September 2018 wedding event! About 5 months out I realized there was no way I could do all of this myself and truly enjoy my daughter's wedding day. I decided to interview a few planners-these ladies really already had their plate full but they were my first choice. As an interior designer, I loved the take charge attitude and willingness to execute my ideas. They were always responsive, reassuring and innovative all in one. Ashley was our talented lead coordinator but I felt they both were always involved. Our mountaintop home, barn and surrounding acreage in Cashiers,NC was logistically challenging at best--these ladies did a first class job in every respect. Hands down, Ashley with Mingle is the absolute best planner out there. She brought every single detail to life on our big day, and there truly wasn’t one glitch (that we know of, anyway!!) Our venue package included Mingle Events services - where we were blessed with be partnered with Ashley for the sixty days leading up to our wedding, and then we of course had her on the wedding day. She was so quick to reach out and introduce herself, and was openly available to answer any questions and provide any advice and recommendations, even before our sixty days began. We truly felt that we could reach out to her at anytime since meeting her, and she would be there to help us. When we met on site for the sixty day walk through, Ashley essentially already had the day planned out and in the bag. She is so flexible, easy going, and truly wants to make your day as perfect as possible, and will absolutely find a way to do it. During the morning of, ceremony and reception - Ashley navigated the day so perfectly, and was so calm, which made it much easier to enjoy the day. PRICELESS!! We were late to the game getting a planner only 2 month away from our wedding, but Caroline jumped in right away. She contacted all my vendors for me and took all that stress off me. I cannot say enough kind words about Candace and the Mingle Team! My husband and I planned our wedding while living abroad with a 6-hour time difference. Though we were organized, there was just no way we could have ever pulled off our dream wedding without help. Luckily, we were introduced to Candace when my mother in law was scouting venues for us. Our favorite venue (Honeysuckle Hill) happened to be owned by Candace. (She also is the owner multiple wedding businesses including Mingle Events & Vintage Rentals and Engaged Asheville!) As I hadn’t had a chance to meet Candace yet - I checked out her Mingle Events & Vintage Rentals site and fell in love with her style. We took the leap and said yes knowing we were in good hands as she is so connected in the Asheville wedding community. Candace and the Mingle team did a wonderful job walking us through the entire process; helping us organize a dream team of vendors, developing timelines and aligning logistics for a flawless wedding day. We did all this planning working through a 6-hour time difference and mainly over email, which was a big help with our busy work schedules. We were in Asheville for only 2 days before the wedding around the holidays and the Mingle team organized appointments, tastings, and walkthroughs with all our vendors in that short time period. It was a whirlwind but really special that we could engage directly with our vendors and be able to do all the fun wedding planning that we would have missed out on otherwise. It was a constant question about how I was coping with planning a wedding an ocean away and I could honestly tell my friends and family that it was LOW STRESS. We had wonderful guides the whole way through and the team was always prompt in answering any open questions. An additional advantage was the Mingle team could connect directly with the Asheville vendor base and iron out any open queries or align before coming back to me with suggestions. Our vendors and the Mingle team really operated as one team. When it came to our wedding day - the day was absolutely FLAWLESS. All of our vendors that Mingle organized were absolutely amazing! (And I am not just saying that, we had multiple people genuinely tell us our wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended - food & flowers (Smash Events Inc.), cake (CakesbyGray), music (Collective Music Solutions), atmosphere, venue (Honeysuckle Hill), drinks (Metro Wines) - it was the full package! We had Ashley, who is INCREDIBLE. I have so many wonderful things to say about Mingle, but y’all… Caroline McCrory is easily one of the most diligent, gracious, passionate, and most genuine human beings. Caroline was my saving grace and I will tell you why… We planned a December wedding, fully aware of the risk of having a wedding in December. The week of finally came and nothing can quite describe the feeling of being one week away from marrying the man of your dreams. At this point during the wedding planning process Caroline and myself were in constant communication. The weather was calling for snow, so we were all trying not to panic. Caroline, at the beginning of the week kept me very calm (still do not know how she did that - she is magical). We were three days away and the snow forecast was still questionable, but nothing worth panicking over. The very next day the forecast changed drastically, so we had to make some changes. Caroline called me and gave me lots of options, but it came down to moving our wedding day. The day that we had spent months planning - Caroline moved up an entire day in a few short hours. If you know what goes into wedding planning (especially the week of), then you know that moving a wedding day up in a few hours is nearly impossible. I can now say with so much confidence that Caroline can handle anything that is thrown her way because this was just crazy! We arrived at our wedding venue and I felt so calm - and it wasn’t even supposed to be our wedding day. I took one look at Caroline and knew that she was making this day flawless and she more than met our expectations. The move meant we had no rehearsal and I was really counting on rehearsal to calm my nerves and to make sure everything was where it needed to be. I did not notice - no one noticed that we did not rehearse because Caroline made sure everyone knew and understood what was going on (and we had a big wedding party). My wedding experience was very unique, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I highly recommend Caroline McCrory to any bride - plus she has an awesome cupcake wall :)
