Beyond the fact that we just stopped somewhere randomly to eat and stumbled upon the most incredible little family cafe I’ve EVER had the pleasure of dining in, I just really cannot believe how amazing the actually food was itself. My partner and I have eaten at a multitude of fine dining establishments in Albuquerque and I cannot STRESS ENOUGH how good the food is at this place, especially for the price!!!!! The owner and her husband really do an incredible job of prioritizing the food and environment, and they have catering businesses too!!! I was so shocked at some of the other reviews that I had to make sure and leave our experience here (on October 19th, 2022), and shine the light on how incredible this place is. Thank you so much for the warm welcoming and service, we will absolutely be back soon!! :-)

My wedding reception was held at La Luna Eatery & Events in October of 2022. This venue was one of the best things about my wedding day. The owner, Marie, was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout the entire planning process. Her approachable and easy-going nature was amazing, and because of this we were able to handle details and unforeseen complications (such as the unexpected rainy weather) with minimal stress and above-and-beyond levels of assistance. The setup process, and the reception itself, felt more like going to a family members place than a rented business venue. I will forever be grateful to the staff here. Ruben and especially Tammy, who handled the event, were professional, pleasant, and just fun to talk to. As for the owner, she helped in every way she could and then gave us all the space in the world on the night of the event. We did not feel micromanaged or tense during the celebration, and the only management I even noticed at the event helped however they could with the demeanor of any old friend at a party. If you are looking for a friendly comfortable space to host an event that can help with all the necessary adaptations needed, I would suggest giving La Luna Eatery & Events a call.

Delicious! Thanks for transforming the cafe into a private party location for a memorial. Ruben and the team helped make a sad moment special for all of us celebrating the lost life of a loved one. The accommodations were so appreciated! The menu was awesome: fruit and cheese plate, cash bar, buffet with carved meats and veggies, and fresh berry cobbler.

Fantastic spot! The menu is incredibly accommodating -- she has your back on gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, and more. Everything starts off vegetarian and adapts to suit YOU. It has the feel of a homemade restaurant with service to professional downtown. The real New Mexican experience: genuine family service and incredible food. We ordered the vegan pesto and can't stop raving about it. Did you know, they switch the area the menu is based on every two months? Keep coming back! A wheelchair accessible entrance with hand open door. Wide aisles between the tables. Well lit and soft colors. Wateravaailable on stand. Gendered bathrooms that are not wheelchair accessible. NOTE: they asked us if we needed parking or parked in their lot and let us know it requires validation through them. There are multiple signs up, and booting is necessary because downtown is so intense. Make sure to get validation!

I got food from here delivered. I really wanted to try these Birria tacos that everyone's raving about and they had them. So, 5/5 for the birria! So flavorful and the consomme was just the right amount. It wasn't too salty or greasy as I feared and everything was piping hot when I got it. The tacos were stuffed with meat and I liked that you could customize the cheese choice. (I chose queso fresco) Dipping the tacos in the broth was fun, messy as heck, and I can see why people love this stuff. Addictive! My only downvote is the "waffle fries" They are not normal thick waffle fries, but were really tiny and thin like someone tried to make potato chips and failed. Also, they were DRIPPING with grease I had to use several paper towels to soak up (see photo) with each layer. Being thin and small, they also cooled off super fast and I was left with a stuck-together greasy lump of soggy potatoes. I wouldn't order those again. But definitely get the Birria!

We tried this place for the first time today. Easy to find, three blocks south of downtown. The have a parking lot so no need to find street parking. It says "bakery", and they did have some baked items, but it is mostly breakfast and lunch. Not fancy looking, but clean and lots of windows make it cheerful. We had the an "eggs Benedict" special on polenta that was great! Also had the carnitas tacos with black beans which was from the main menu, also excellent. The food truly was exceptional, well worth coming back for. A little understaffed, the service was slow, but the up side of that was everything was hot and fresh when we got it. Highly recommend.

Awesome new place downtown -open for breakfast and lunch -and on Fridays their is a market in the parking lot- they are open later that day.Great Gluten free baked good- the chef Robin pretty much makes everything good- the space is also available for events to-go checkem out

Excellent food, stopped by for a quick bite and the food was delicious, with fast and friendly service too! It was great. The most delicious red chile pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had! Not to mention the French fries! Don’t listen to the people complaining about the parking, the parking belongs to the cafe and they are fighting hard to maintain spaces for their customers to use. Happy to have found this gem!

This place is within walking distance of my work and makes for a lovely lunch outing. The owner and staff are very friendly, professional, and accommodating for a wide variety of dietary preferences, including vegan, gluten free, sugar free, and more. One of the few places in the city where you can get great vegan desserts! Everything I've tried has been delicious and presented like a work of art.

Amazing food! It was delicious! So happy they offered parking passes and could apply the pass to our lunch. Very friendly staff! Would definitely recommend! Burgers are delicious, cole slaw and fries are amazing too! Should definitely try putting their coleslaw on the burgers, it's amazing!! Another great thing is they offer stevia as a sweetener option - wish more places did!

I don't even know where to begin about my delightful experience at La Luna. There's so many wonderful things to say about this adorable bakery and cafe! I had to come downtown to the social security office and decided to park in the parking lot of La Luna. I didn't realize you had to pay for parking (I totally would not have even snapped!) until Angel (one of their amazing staff members) came out and gave me a friendly warning! You have to have purchase a parking permit from inside the cafe so I stepped in and was surprised at how cute and welcoming the environment was. If you purchase a meal for $10+, they credit the parking permit towards your purchase. So OF COURSE, I chose to eat. I hadn't eaten quite yet so I definitely wanted a hearty breakfast. They had tons of amazing choices (lots of healthy options and even gluten free choices!), but I decided on one of their specials. I chose the salmon scramble with potatoes and OH EM GEE, I was beyond delighted! The eggs were made cooked perfectly (Gordon Ramsay or Chrissy Teigen would be impressed with their scrambled egg skills!). They were light, fluffy, and had the perfect creamy texture. The salmon was full of flavor and so delish. The potatoes were perfectly crisp and seasoned splendidly. And anywhere that has fresh fruit water (they offered a refreshing citrus water!) is totally a winner in my book. As amazing as the food was, it was the service that really knocked this out of the park for me. I'm all about customer service and I have never seen such pure kindness and happiness radiate from a restaurant staff. Angel is EXTRAORDINARY. From the second I parked until the second I left, the experience was phenomenal. Angel is kind, patient, caring, and really goes above and beyond for every customer that walks in. When someone is willing to give their customers the best service humanly possible, it absolutely should not go unrecognized. I left La Luna with the biggest smile on my face and a happy food baby belly! I would undoubtedly recommend this place to everyone and I cannot wait for my next visit!

This place has been a pub under different management. It still has daily lunch specials and pub food. THE DESERTS ARE OUT OF THE WORLD! They are great at breakfast burritos but the flavor is more South American than southwest. Coffee is good. They do sell parking here for $5 if you want to le as very your car here and see the town or go across to the social security office across the street.

I don’t know what was better the food or the service. Both were incredible! We had the Birria Tacos with fresh goat cheese and they were amazing! The Ensenada de nopal was a new flavor for me but it was delicious! We love this place and will be back to try some of the Vegan menu items!

We had a New Mexico professionals meeting today and all of us ordered a lunch. It was an amazing food, each one of us had something different and it was out of this world! I would recommend this place to anyone and as for my self I will be back for more visits and lunches!

We had to go to the Social Security office, so we parked in La Luna's lot, paid the $5 deposit, and placed the reciept on the dash. After we finished our business, we decided to use our deposit at the Café. That was a good choice - the staff is friendly, the vegan tacos looked good enough for a television commercial and tasted great, and the place is clean and pleasant. We'll be back. La Luna is a good way to wind down from a visit to Social Security, and good enough to patronize even without going to Social Security.

A hidden gem in Albuquerque. I looked up this place at a friend's suggestion. I have many food sensitivities and this place did great. It's not obvious from their menu, but they do many things gf and df by default. For instance, their hollandaise sauce is avocado based not dairy. And the food was really terrific, particularly the potatoes. It takes a little longer because they make everything from scratch, but it's worth it!

Delish! Great place with fantastic food and amazing baked goods. Owner is so nice. If you have to go to the SSI building it's right accross the street. You can pay her 5 bucks to park and get your five bucks back if you eat a meal there. Tried pulled pork and smoked portabella mushroom burger, YUMMY! Desserts are scrumptious.

Food was good and hot. Service good. The only thing is that it is downtown. You need to go into get a pass for your dashboard and buy $5.00 worth of pastries or food. Otherwise you will get booted. And it will cost you $75.00 to get it off.

This place is something else. You go in and it looks like a typical southwestern café, nothing fancy; you look at the prices on the menu and they're the typical prices you would find in any modest café but then the food arrives and 1) you're pleasantly surprised by the beautiful presentation and 2) The instant you taste it you feel like you're royalty: it's exquisite. Another fantastic place you have to check out while in downtown Albuquerque.

First, even though I was dressed grubby(I'm a tow trk drvr). I had the Torta Ahogada, it was the bomb! The next day I had the Benedicto de la Luna. That was even better! Sure they're strict about parking, but you pay $5 and it's for all day, and you have somebody watching over your car! I'm taking my mom to lunch there, she's gonna love it! Peace!
