I'm very happy with the work the electricians from Macintosh Electric (Yonkers) did at my home. They investigated and detected the electrical problems and fixed them. They went above and beyond expectations to make sure my home was safe. The Macintosh team was very professional, sending me an estimate, waiting for my approval, and then at the end of service, calling me (with the electrician also present) to confirm the hours worked and to ask if I was satisfied with the work. Scheduling was handled professionally - when they set the timing of arrival, they were here. It was very important to me that the electricians wear a face mask for the entire time they were in my home. They wore the face masks and never complained (and it was August!).

This is my go-to business for electrical needs. They upgraded our electrical panel. They installed a 220 volt for an air conditioner. The installed an outdoor sensor light. When our dishwasher blew a fuse, they trouble shot the situation, resolved the problem and upgraded our electrical outlets in the kitchen. I trust them with our electrical needs. Our house is over 90 years old, I want someone whose work I feel confident about.

They gave us a quote the same week, and had the permit pulled and were able to perform the work a few weeks later based on our availability. We enjoyed the overall experience/cost, so we then hired them again the next year to install two electric vehicle chargers outside our home. Again, the service/cost/timeliness were all excellent. We have a renovation project that we will be working on in the near future, and plan to hire them again.

My son Luca used Macintosh Electric when he did a major renovation of an apartment he had purchased in White Plains. He needed lights installed in the the ceiling, new outlets, new kitchen lights installed under the cabinets, and all the lamp fixtures installed. Then Kay sent in his A team to restore our power permanently. His team also upgraded our panel from 100 to 200 amp. The last job Macintosh finished was installing an outlet for our electric vehicle. In every job, his team was professional. They did the job well and cleaned up every work space upon finishing. I recommend Macintosh Electric for any electric task.

I Have used Macintosh for all my home electric(3 visits in 3 years). They have rewired my home and upgraded the panel. The have installed all my lighting and fans. Also my outdoor lighting. They have most recently installed décor pot lights through my home. They are fairly priced for their white glove service work they provide. They arrive on time and they walk you thru everything and explain the work before hand. If you have electrical work, I highly recommend them. My elderly parents were experiencing difficulties due to a loss in recent power due to tropical storm Isaias. Macintosh Electric was called and the owner himself addressed the issue. He was able to send my sister out for the part for the malfunctioning generator by simply viewing it through a picture sent to his phone. Once the part was purchased and received, the owner came out himself and did not leave my parents home until the generator was fixed and their power was up and running. With the warm temperatures at hand, my parents were not only able to salvage the food in their refrigerator but he was able to make sure their a.c was fully operational. Well my experience with this company is one of a kind I’ve got caught in Yonkers doing renovations without a permit and I got caught and it was a nightmare got all sorts of fines and all sorts of bad predicaments all I can say is THANK YOU if it wasn’t for this company and is people Kay , Mike I would of been in so much trouble they came to my house real quick they assessed the situation pulled the necessary permits and gave me a good estimate they fought for me and my family cause believe me if you get caught doing what you’re not supposed to you will have a lot of trouble And you need the right people to pull you out of that mess they met with inspectors they’re the whole package recently I’m doing my básement and I don’t need to look anywhere else will keep everybody updated about the basement but I’m not worried I know I’m in good hands.

Mackintosh Electric had to replace wires to my house that were knocked down by a heavy rainstorm with high winds affecting a pine tree on my property. They had to deal with Con Edison to put the wires back up and the replaced the standpipe used to bring the power into my house. They also upgraded my power boxes. They replaced my circuit breakers with newer ones and replaced the power boxes with larger ones.

Great company. Called them at 9:30pm on a week night because I had no electricity and they responded very prompt. After getting here, they actually drove around my neighborhood and saw it was Con Edison doing work and had shut off the power and they did not charge me anything for coming over. Since I don't know anything about electricity in the house, they could've really ripped me off, but instead they were very honest and did the right thing. I’ve been looking for go-to electricians for a little while now. I’ve dealt with a guy who showed up to install an intercom, but just looked at the wiring for a few hours and then charged me for nothing. You can’t really know what you’re dealing until they’re out there doing the job. Macintosh Electric came out on short notice to deal with a tenant-landlord situation in a mixed-use building in the Bronx. They dealt professionally with a difficult tenant and provided us with excellent service throughout. I found them friendly, and willing not only to tell me what could be done, but explain it in a straightforward way. Their customer support was a pleasure to deal with as well. We’ll definitely be using them again in the future and are very pleased with their work. Highly recommended!
