After purchasing my electric vehicle, I initially utilized standard charging at home as well as charging stations to power my car, so I knew I had to upgrade to a level 2 charger as soon as possible. As a result, I called three electricians, but selected Agustin of Electric City, the third electrician, immediately upon speaking with him as he answered my questions, asked questions regarding my electrical set-up and needs, as well as presented options that could be further discussed upon a visit. I found Agustin’s approach to place me at ease as it countered the other electricians who insisted on a paid visit, applicable to services rendered of course, or an initial visit before they could discuss options or answer questions. Upon Agustin’s visit, he revisited our initial discussion as we walked the garage and areas of discussion. Agustin provided all options for increasing the charge output and even options for a system upgrade to 200 amps when I expressed concerns regarding drawing too much power with additional electrical upgrades that are planned for the near future. At no point did Agustin insist upon me upgrading the system, which I appreciated as I did not experience any pressure to decide one way or the other. Within a week, Agustin’s crew arrived to upgrade the system to 200 amps, install the level 2 charger I purchased (Lectron), and install an outlet for my electric dryer. Throughout the entire process Agustin was prompt, responsive to calls, considerate and flexible when scheduling, as well as communicative as each stage of work was completed. His crew was also professional, efficient, thorough, and careful. Moreover, I am satisfied with the final product and its cost; I have attached photos of the work for reference. If I ever require additional electrical work or know of someone who needs an electrician, I would, without reservation, recommend Agustin, Christian, and the other repairman of Electric City. The team assigned to my job was courteous, skillful, and thorough. Adding a bathroom exhaust fan, new light switches, and new electric sockets in an older home with plaster walls required a bit of creativity and old construction knowledge. They were upfront about the challenges (which they were able to overcome) and the limitations of the existing electrical system, allowing me to make the most informed and safest decisions for my project. I would use Electric City again, and recommend them to others interested in reasonable, licensed electricians for older homes.

Augustin was so helpful in solving my complicated shared-meter situation at my 2-family house in the Bronx. His guys were punctual and worked quickly and efficiently to label my panels and fix the wiring problems.
