Dylan called and arrived when expected. We had several outlets not working so he briefly explained his process of looking for the root cause and gave me a price estimate. I liked that he gave me a high and low price based upon what he found. Within 30 minutes he found the problem and had it fixed. Super nice guy and great workmanship. Had an electrical issue that had me stumped, called Allen Electrical, they had an electrician out the next day. Matthew was friendly, knowledgeable, and worked quick to solve my problem. It ended up being a relatively quick and easy fix, and the price was a great value. Will definitely be calling again if I ever need electric work done.

Dane from Allen Electric came to our home to restore power to our garage. Luckily it was an easy fix. They were able to come same day as me calling and that was helpful for what we needed. Their minimum charge for service was a little pricey but expected with electricity work. We would use Allen Electric again if needed.

Our rental house was giving us fits due to old electric wiring. We had 3 electricians work this issue, all saying "it's fixed!" NONE fixed it and we were charged. On each occasion the issue could have cause a fire! I looked on the internet saw Allen Electric and remembered we used them for our basement years ago. I called on a Friday at 9pm, off hours. They were not only there within 30min they waived the huge charge (that I was completely aware that I may have to pay due to Friday night), and had the problem detained so that a technician could come back in normal business hours. The problem was FIXED for sure the following day, and yes it was not cheap, but if would have just called them to begin with my 3 other cheap fixes would have not mattered! I will pay for timely, safe, and accurate service. Thank you Allen, you are now the Brilliant Homes of Louisville Electricians!

I'm a female homeowner and these guys charged me 1/4 of what someone else estimated for the same work. On top of that, when I asked about some of the services the other group had suggested, the technician from Allen Electrical flat out said, "If you want to just give me $700, sure, but you don't need it." I deeply appreciate their integrity, and further, when we found out that there was a problem after installation, one of the techs came back to my house and fixed it free of charge. The problem was no fault of their own, just an unanticipated problem of my goofy old house. The guys were professional, kind, efficient, and they charged me a fair price. I'll absolutely be calling them again any time I have an issue with my electrical.

Called the shop at about 10 am with an emergency at our collision center. Spoke with Haley and she was very professional and promised that someone would be here between noon and 4pm. Drew(the tech) called about 10 minutes later and said he was on his way. He had our compressor running in under a half hour. Could not ask for better service, thank you Haley and Drew! Daniel C, the technician was on time and very personable and gave us several options for the installation of outlets. He did excellent work! The outlets were more expensive than we had planned on but we are very pleased with the results. We would recommend Allen Electric again.

The technician I had Aaron is a stand up guy! I was told by LG&E that they would not turn the power on to my rental property because the meter base had been disconnected from the panel and I needed to get it fixed before they could get power going again to the property. Two other big name electrical company’s came out and told me that I had to completely replace the panel and was quoted $1600 and $1500. Aaron from Allen Electric came out to the property and looked at the panel and said it was completely fine and just an arc shield had fallen off which he replaced at no charge. Aaron even went back out to the property twice in the same day to double check there was nothing wrong with the panel. I got LG&E back out to the property the next day and sure enough the arc shield being off the panel was the only issue and they turned the power right back on! Aaron even offered to go meet the LG&E tech out there if I needed him to. I’m so happy there are honest and good electricians like Aaron out there. These other companies were trying to take advantage of me by trying to fix a problem that wasn’t there. I’ll tell you what, Allen Electric didn’t make a dime off of me this time around, but I can guarantee you they will be my first call whenever I have an electrical issue from now on because I know they are honest and reliable!

I recently had Allen Electric come to my house for a simple repair. I was impressed with their work and customer service. When I called for the appointment, I was able to get one in a few days but was told if something opened before my scheduled appointment they would call. Two days later I did get a call for an earlier appointment but was not able to accept their offer. My appointment was scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and Noon. I was told I would get a call 30 minutes prior to arrival. The day of my appointment I got a call early that morning to see if I was OK with a 9:00 a.m. show time. I was OK with the earlier time and within about 30 minutes I got a call from Larry my technician to let me know he would be at my house in 15-20 minutes. When he arrived, he quickly assessed what I needed to have done and we agreed on a price. He went to his truck, got the equipment he needed and set to work. He always wore covers over his boots when he came into my house and even offered to put down a drop cloth. He completed the repair in less than 30 minutes. I few days later I received a thank you note and an Allen Electric tote bag as a gift. I was impressed with Allen Electric and I will use them again.

After reading reviews, I made an appointment with Allen Electrical to fix my outside receptacle. I was scheduled for an appointment next week, but there was a cancellation with an opening this morning, so I took it. Drew, the tech, called ahead and arrived soon after. He explained pricing right up front, even before I asked. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in under an hour. He was even sweet with my big dog. =) I was impressed with his professionalism and his clear explanations, and I thought the price was fair based on research I've done. We had a pretty decent electrical situation in our main breaker. The company our home warranty recommended didn’t know what the issue was and left us with our problem. I called Allen Electrical and Drew came out. He listened to the issues I had noticed (which is something the other company didn’t do) and found our problem within minutes. We needed a new breaker box installed for a new electric water heater. Allen Electric came very highly recommended and rightly so. Daniel and Dylan were early (which I LOVED!) and very courteous. They explained everything they were going to do before they did it and answered every question I had about the whole process. I think this will be the best review I've been able to give on any service regarding repairs in my house. I had a few outlets and an outdoor light to repair. Aaron fixed them all in great time at a fair price. I forgot a light over my washer and he fixed that without adding to the price. He was very professional, congenial but did not talk while working. He was focused, attentive to to completing the work and even offered to give me a better outdoor motion light than what I had, and I was so thankful because I've never liked the one I had. Now I can see twice as far and it is quick to go off and on. Allen Electric will always be the one I call. Highly recommend.

Technician Drew R. goes over what work you want done, gives you upfront prices, works to find you the best deal, can fix anything, is on-time, & completes the job in a time efficient manner. He had technician Matt alongside him today. They installed three ceiling fans, two chandeliers, a vanity light above the kitchen sink, changed the motors on two bathroom ceiling fans, fixed the doorbell, & switched out a light switch plate. On a previous trip Drew R. installed a ceiling fan in the master bedroom & installed a smoke alarm. Highly recommend Allen Electrical Services. They're the best.

I've used them several times now and have been satisfied. This latest time was a great experience. Had one company tell me I needed a total rewire on a detached garage with very little investigation. In the end it was a total fraud job or total incompetence and he bragged about being a master electrician. With 15 minutes of investigation, Drew, with Allen, found an safe alternative that saved me big $. Great job Drew!

This is the second time we have used Allen Electric. The first time I got estimates from three different companies. Allen Electric Had the best estimate so we had them replace the wiring in the garage and add a switch to replace what the squirrels had chewed up. They were exactly what they had quoted and they cleaned up and were done in a timely manner. So this time I didn’t call anyone else. I wanted to have a GFI outlet added to my front porch, they said that they would send a van with all the equipment and be prepared to install the GFI on the day they came out if the estimate was approved. When they showed up I asked about a couple of other projects that I had in mind. They said that if they did installed other outlets it would be a better estimate. I liked the bundled price so I got everything done at one time, they were quick and cleaned up everything. I couldn’t be happier.

I called because I needed a bathroom exhaust fan installed, they sent Dane out and he was very respectful (wore a mask AND had plastic covers over his boots to not track in dirt - we've had a lot of work done and both of these things are a rare sight!) I have been using Allen Electric for years, and have always been happy with the quality of service that they provide. Most recently, I had them install a ceiling fan. The technician arrived at my home ahead of schedule, which was fine since they called ahead to make sure I'd be available. He checked the existing light fixture, verifying that I had a metal (not plastic) mounting box to support the weight of the fan (something I probably wouldn't have thought to check if doing it myself) and the work was done quickly and correctly. The technician was friendly and courteous, as everyone that Allen Electric has sent to my home has been. Allen Electrical is professional, prompt and highly skilled! My house is 100+ years old and was flipped right before I bought it. While replacing a fan in the living room I discovered a huge electrical mess. The wiring was so old it was literally crumbling, so much that 1 of my outlets stopped working in the room and it knocked out my downstairs power. My electrician(Tyler) showed up at the very beginning of the window I was given and was very informative about what he would be doing and the costs associated with each service. He ended of being here over 6 hours and not once did he lose his positive attitude or focus. I will def be a returning customer!

We recently had the power go out in a guest bathroom. After a couple of hours, I couldn't diagnose the issue. I called multiple electricians, all of whom were unable to come look at it until next week. It wouldn't have normally been a big deal, but of course, we have family coming in from out of town and will need to be able use the bathroom to accommodate the 4 people staying at our home. Since I've used them before, I called Allen Electric and they were able to have an electrician come the next day. The technicians, Aaron and Clayton, were very respectful of my family especially considering it was nap time for the kids. They were able to diagnose the problem fairly quickly and worked with me regarding the cost. Yes, although I thought the work/time was rather expensive, I feel like the cost was justified because I needed it done quickly and they were able to accommodate.

After Our tech arrived and I explained what was going on, John the electrician tech came and found the first issue to a plug in the living room very fast. Really fast! 1 Out of the 5 plugs in the living room would trip. No matter what you plugged in. The kitchen one with the brand new fridge kept tripping. John found the problem really fast again. That one was a little more complex. He was up front with the cost and explained what work is needed to fix the issues. John kept me informed with every aspect of the call as I worked from home. So I was able to keep working while getting this fixed. I recommend Tony Allen electric as their dispatch staff is friendly and listens! I can say another company would have been a lot more expensive for less than thorough work.

I had an excellent experience with Allen Electric. My electricity went out last night. I called numerous 24 hour services only to find out they were NOT 24 hours. Daniel from Allen Electric showed up promptly and repaired the problem. Even though this was an after hours emergency visit the fee was very reasonable. Great company!!

Chris and his team are fantastic. They quickly wrote up an estimate and recommended against some things I thought I needed (and didn't), saving me a ton of money. Furthermore, they were punctual and professional. I thought I needed to do a full rewire, but Chris assured me this was not the case. Called Allen Electric to have some large lights taken down and new ones hung from a very tall ceiling. Drew and Mike showed up on time and were dressed spotless. They wore their little red booties to protect my floor, even though we advised them it was all being ripped up :) The fan we had them install had a defect, so they had to take the first one down and install a new one...I felt bad that they needed to climb that tall ladder twice, but they were very professional and just laughed it off. All overhead lights we placed in all of my bedrooms, and the new entry light and ceiling fan were hung. Everything was perfect and all messes cleaned up before they left. Had a power issue that knocked out my power in my garage, kitchen, and dinner room lights last night. I called someone last night to come out and they did a temporary fix and was talking that it would take up to 5 hours to fix it. So needless to say , I had that person leave after I paid. So this morning I called Allen Electrical Services and made appointment for this afternoon, with earlier appointment of one comes available. Good things work out, cause a earlier appointment came available for 10-noon. A gentleman showed up by the name Drew from them. He introduced him self and was very professional. I explained to him what had happened with the power and showed what the other person did. He explained what he would look for and the cost of what it would be which I was very okay with. Drew began to dissect the problem with each outlet and explain to me what he was looking. Within no time at all , he found the source of the problem and began to fix and go back to check to make sure I had power throughout the circuit. Drew was very knowledgeable with his profession and I highly recommend this company and him to come out to fix any problems you have. I plain on using them for any other problems that I might have in the future. Thank you Drew for you work sir!!

Allen's was absolutely wonderful for us. Highly recommended. Hired them to do electrical work for a bathroom we would finish (run lights, fan exhaust, etc) and they finished it quickly and professionally. Great job of caulking the external exhaust to help with bugs. But what really set them apart was afterwards we asked "oh could you just check out that outlet on the garage". Come to find out the builder had hastily wired it to the smoke-detector circuit and all our smoke detectors had been shorted out for months! They found 2 underlying issues with the wiring (there was also a loose wire in our daughter's room) and fixed it free of charge!

I had Allen Electric come out to diagnose and repair a partial outage that occurred the day before. Scheduling was quick and efficient, and they even called me back, after setting the appointment, to let me know an available tech was in the area, and could come over right then. The tech quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem (bad breaker switch). I wrote a check for the already agreed upon price, and that was it. All that was great, but the best part was when the tech was leaving, he noticed two boxes of new coach lamps sitting in the garage. He asked if I wanted him to install them, and I said sure and asked how much? He said there’d be no charge, and that it would only take him a few minutes. Ten minutes later, my new outside coach lamps were up and operating - at no additional cost.

I called Allen Electric to have them replace six two pronged outlets with three pronged outlets, and also to get an estimate on repairing two non-functioning fluorescent lights. Chris came out on June 17th, and replaced the six outlets. After discussion with him, I decided to have him remove the ballast in one of the fluorescent lights, and rewire it to accommodate an LED bulb. Chris also gave me estimates on several things I might want done in the future. I was very satisfied with the service I received from Allen Electric, including a free follow up trip when I had trouble figuring out why the LED bulb I bought didn't work, and Chris provided great service. I do however wish that Allen didn't charge a $45 dispatch fee just to come look at something or give an estimate.

I just bought a house and it needed a number of electrical upgrades, and AE was able to do everything I wanted in a single day. Allen Electrical was recommended by a neighbor. They responded the next morning after I left a message the night before. They reached out one more time on the day of service when there was an opening at an earlier time, which I gladly took. Electrician called to confirm the address before hand and arrived on time. He was courteous, professional and knowledgeable, gave us honest opinions and suggestions instead of just pushing expensive service with little practical value. I was even more impressed when I noticed him putting on shoe covers when he had to walk through the living room and hallway. He had to take them off when going outside and put them back on when came inside quite a few times, enough to show the professionalism of the service. Dispatch fee is $49 and the estimate is given upfront. I'd use then again and would recommend them to anyone that needs good, responsive and reliable electrician.
