At a time when many of us experience general disappointment in customer service outcomes, I was overwhelmed by an exemplary service experience when dealing with Mitch Martin from Mr. Electric. Our request for some household electrical fixtures and outlet installations was met with competent, professional, and personable expertise. Mitch demonstrated a rare quality of technical experience accompanied with a willingness to explain options to optimize the work order and, thereby, customer satisfaction. I’m not one to write reviews but felt totally at ease in recognizing quality service when I experience it. When next I need a professional for electrical work in my home, I will not hesitate to call Mr. Electric and ask for Mitch!

This company really did a good job. I am very pleased with thier work. I will recommend using them. They gave a great estimate, took their time to complete their work, they were not loud or obnoxious, and took few breaks, and cleaned back up their mess, and just did an overall great job with installing 5 outlets, 2 light switches, 1 ceiling fan, and 1 light fixture. I contacted Mr. Electric bc all of the outlets in my living room stopped working. Ray came to my home and quickly assessed the issue. He fixed it with a better outlet than I had and was done in about 15 minutes. Very nice person and was professional in his work. A whole house surge protector was installed, GFCI was installed in laundry room, 3 bedroom circuits were replaced and upgraded and a complete electrical inspection done. All this was accomplished in less than 3 hours while bringing the house up to code. Brody and Jake were prompt, courteous and very professional. They explained everything thoroughly and answered all of our questions. There is no question but that we will call Mr. Electric for all of our future electrical needs!

The technicians had a window from 8 to 12 to show up and they were there by 8:30. They found the issue within a few minutes (bad switches) and had all 6 replaced by 11, and this includes the time it took for them to go buy the switches (because of their particular color). I would highly recommend them to anyone needing electrical work. As side note, they were very friendly but also didn't talk my ear off as some repairmen tend to do. They did their job and did it right and I didnt feel the need to hover around while they worked either.

I recently purchased a house in another state before relocation. Our house inspection provided us with a clear indication of several pressing needs, including an extensive list of electrical issues and needs. These electrical concerns were one of two priority items that required our immediate attention. I reached out to several possible electricians but quickly found Mr. Electric of Charleston to be the most responsive, engaging, and professional. More specifically, Delores worked with me to coordinate the various needs and schedule accordingly with my sporadic schedule in and out of state. She reviewed a copy of the home inspection with the owner(s) before a technician was onsite and then coordinated their team in response. I was eager to have the work completed but the first step was to obtain a quote that I could be comfortable with. Delores scheduled technicians to come out when I was on site and then tentatively booked time for the work (an estimated three days of needs for everything). She confirmed everything beforehand. I also received another confirmation call the week of the work and one the morning when technicians were on their way. Brody and Jared arrived as expected. Both were very professional, kind, and very agreeable throughout the experience. Initially working on the quote, Brody presented the findings and the estimate. Brody was respectful in presentation and delivery and quickly offered time to think about it without pressure. I am sure they expected me to get back to them in time, but I confirmed I wanted to proceed. Without specifics, I can only convey that the price was more than fair. I was thankful! Brody confirmed their status with their office and quickly began work. Both he and Jared returned the next two days to complete the project. I was very happy with them both and pleased they were assigned to us. No work order changes, or unexpected costs arose, and all tasks were completed successfully. With my home and rentals units, I have used several electricians. I was especially happy with the report they provided with an overall overview of electrical systems. The report showed what outlets, grounding rods, etc. that would pass or not pass an inspection.

Mr. Electric came by this morning to investigate why a particular breaker keeps tripping. They came up with an answer by replacing underground power cable that was exposing cable. Right not, the electric seems okay. This is the fourth time someone other than Mr. Electric has given a try to fix it. The one thing that really stands out are the Exorbitant cost. I nearly fainted when they said the cost would be $1,000. I was over a barrel and really needed it fixed. Next time I hope to shop around.

Great group of people to work with. I hired them to relocate a terribly placed electrical panel in my kitchen. They work fast and do all they can to minimize your discomfort. If you have problems, it'll likely be outside there control. I'll hire them again in a heart beat.

I believe their work is the same as any other certified electrician service. They will give a free estimate but if you use them they charge you for the time it takes for them to drive to your home and back. Their prices are nearly double what I’ve paid for the same type of work done by another electrician. After paying a premium for their service, I found later that they had not bothered to re-plug in my septic aerator after they replaced the associated outdoor plug. I would not use them again.

Brody was the electrician. We walked through my various jobs and he gave his ideas on what should be done. His knowledge was right on every project! Replacing a toggle instead of looking for a short; repairing wiring in one outlet corrected another problem, etc. I was given a complete estimate before work started. He was on time for the job, even calling to say he was on his way and texting a few days after the job to make sure all was good! He was respectful, polite and friendly. As for the office at Mr. Electric! Nikki and Doris saw me more than money. They worked with my schedule. Stayed in touch and offered support when they learned about a personal problem in scheduling. This isn’t a company. These are people who treated me as a person.

I bought a portable back up generator and I thought I needed a transfer switch in order to connect it to my breaker panel. Mr. Electric sat me down and told me all the options then recommended an interlock, which was actually less expensive and more of what I needed, and more useful to me than a transfer switch. He didn’t try to upsale me, just gave me what I wanted. He explained the whole process, what all the equipment did, and showed me how to hook everything up before he left. We even tested the generator and interlock. Great company.

Only reason they aren’t getting 5 stars is a billing mishap on there end. Otherwise great work and very professional.

The contractor was responsive and called back in a timely manner, and then actually showed up on time when they said they would be there and took no longer than they said they would. Their estimate was reasonable when compared to other local similar contractors and the estimate was the actual cost, no add-ons later. They were neat and professional, left their product looking and working well and cleaned up after themselves adn took their trash with them. I would be happy to have them do other electrical work for us when and if the need arises.

I contacted Mr Electric initially due to my lights flickering when the HVAC system kicks on. The system had been checked by the company who installed it but I wanted another opinion and also to have the entire electrical system in my home inspected for safety and code compliance. During the inspection 3 receptacles were found to have been incorrectly wired which they fixed. They confirmed what I had been told by the HVAC company about the lights briefly flickering when the system kicks on. The electricians answered all my questions, addressed concerns and were extremely professional, polite and knowledgeable. The cost was also extremely reasonable. I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend the company for any home electrical needs.

Mr. Electric got my lead from HomeAdvisor. After sitting my info on HomeAdvisor, Mr. Electric texted me and asked about what I needed done. I told them some rewiring and repairs to our electrical in one of our rooms. We set up an appointment, and two days later on Thursday an electrician called me and told me he'd be at our house at 8:45am. He arrived at 8:43 and knocked on our door at exactly 8:45. Talk about punctual. Johnny Trail was our electrician, and he was excellent. He gave us a complimentary electrical safety inspection, gave us estimates on several future jobs we wanted done in the future, and then went to work. Through the entire process he was courteous, educational, and professional. He finished some time after 5pm. He fixed our issue and brought everything up to code. I'm extremely satisfied.
