Great customer service and professionalism from Lakeside Electric. We had a new circuit run from our kitchen (for a new garbage disposal) to the downstairs electric panel. Setting up a date/time was pretty easy (only had to wait 3-4 days) and their electrician was on time for the appointment. I probably could have saved some $$ with other firms but it's fine given the quality and the ease of scheduling with Lakeside. I'll definitely use them again for future electric service needs.

Lakeside is top-notch all the way. I've had several stellar experiences with their electricians, and the front office does a great job scheduling and being responsive. Tony came out a couple of weeks ago to help us get settled in a new home - he identified key areas of concern, took quality notes, and came back the following week to do all the work (there was a lot). We had the best experience with Lakeside Electric. Master electrician Tony and his protégé Rowen upgraded our smoke alarm system by installing new wired and wireless smoke/CO detectors in our home. It was not an easy installation but they performed with professional excellence. Darlene in the back office made all the connections so we were able to schedule the job quickly, get the job done, and follow up with a building inspector that approved all the work on the spot. All this for a reasonable price, on budget. Oh, and they cleaned up so you wouldn’t know they had been there. Couldn’t be happier with this experience.

Our experience with Tony, the electrician from Lakeside, was tremendous. The wiring in our tiny new-to-us 650 square foot camp was a nightmare. It wasn’t up to code and then some (we inherited lots of DIY “fixes” that were scary). The wiring was both inadequate and/or non-functioning. Tony fixed everything and made our house so much safer and more user friendly. We feel really fortunate to have had someone do the work who is personable, knowledgeable and highly skilled. Can finally sleep easy knowing that the electrical work has been fully inspected and repaired or installed by a true professional. Highly recommend!

Lakeside came twice to our house to connect a heated tile floor and small wall heater to our circuit breaker box after a bathroom renovation. The contractor that renovated the bathroom had to find a breaker to work in the box and Lakeside came as soon as one was located. They were professional and fit us in without any delays. We had trouble finding someone to finish this work. We are very grateful that Lakeside was available and was quick to respond.

When a tree fell on our house during the storm on December 23, it took down the power line between the pole and our house. It also damaged the meter socket, service cable entrance, etc. Lakeside Electric was very responsive right from our first phone call to the actual service at our house. The job was complete in less than 24 hours of our call, and this was during a very busy time with the storm clean up through the holidays. We highly recommend them.

Mark replaced all our smoke and carbon dioxide detectors. He did a great job. He had an early morning appointment with us but we were out of state and completely forgot about it. He tried to contact us repeatedly but we were unable to respond until we got home later in the day. I called to apologize after I saw the calls and remembered the appt. I was met with understanding and compassion! Plus Mark came after all his appointments were done at the end of the day to take care of us!!! Kudos to Lakeside. In short, Lakeside is solidly reliable, professional, prompt, accurate with quotes, friendly, and accommodating. I needed someone who could not only return my calls, but show up when needed. They are unfailing in this respect. On the flip side, they're not the cheapest option on the market. But to me, you get what you pay for. I'm grateful for all that this company does for the Burlington community.

Mark was respectful of my home and listened to our concerns. He stayed within the quote that was given. The only negative thing I can say is that the person they suggested and work with for siding work does sub par work. There was a lack of communication between Mark and him, which Mark quickly fixed himself. I appreciated that, however the j joints etc. looks shoddy (cracked and chipped). I will not be using that gentlemen again and would hire someone else. I will however be using Lakeside for future work. Update: I later found out that one of the workers dropped a box that had a family heirloom in it. It broke, and instead of notifying me, it was stuffed in different corner and it’s pieces were vacuumed up. I noticed it a few days later when I stepped on a piece of glass and realized what it was. I called to speak to someone and no one took ownership of the accident or tried to rectify it. Its been over a week and I’ve heard nothing. It’s irreplaceable but I need to replace it with whatever I can find as it’s a family tradition to use it around the holidays. It’s going to cost me $300 to replace it. Be careful of your home and belongings while they’re working.. from my experience, they won’t take ownership and make it right.

Nick was a very kind, polite, happy young man. My experience in the past year with three other electricians was awful. One was totally incompetent; one was probably alright but could not solve our problem and the last guy while competent, did install two ceiling fans and rewire a front door light, told me because my husband was using extension cords and had done some wiring himself, the house was going to burn down. So, in walked this young man said he liked a challenge and went to work.

A simple google search brought us Lakeside Electric. Could not be happier with their services. We had a dryer that was not working properly and assessed that it was like the power supply. Called LE's call center and within an hour had a call back to discuss the issue and get our name on the list for an apt. Within 48 hours we had an electrician at the house. Nick was professional, incredibly nice, great with dogs, and found the issue right away. He replaced our very old outlet with a used part that he had in his truck (he had the foresight to hang on to these types of things just in case). Nick very likely saved us from a house fire. Dryer is now working fine! It can be tricky finding reliable sources for these things but you can trust Lakeside Electric.

Great service! We had an unexpected and unusual issue crop up with our lights late in the evening and Lakeside responded right away, diagnosing the issue and even coming back the next day to complete some additional work and not charge us the evening premium. They even called with some tips in case it was something we could resolve ourselves and not charge us unnecessarily. That ethical and honest approach is very important to us! Lakeside Electric is AMAZING. We were really in a bind when Benoure showed up to install our Central Air Conditioning last Friday and it turns out we had no power line installed to run to the unit, rendering it useless. We were scrambling for an electrician. After getting frustrated with electricians who don't call us back or blow off appointments, we called Lakeside, and not only was the person who answered the phone courteous and helpful, but the electrician who came to the house (that same day!) was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to look at another issue we've been considering having fixed. A smoke alarm began beeping in the middle of the night, disturbing our sleep. In the morning I replaced the battery of the beeping alarm, which didn't sole the problem. I called Lakeside Electric around 10:30am, and they told me they'd send someone out as soon as someone was available. An hour later Chase showed up with eight new combination smoke/CO2 alarms, and had them all installed within an hour. Furthermore, he educated me as to why the installation of a new battery hadn't solved the problem; alarms also beep when at the end of their life cycle, which that alarm was. He also replaced our broken doorbell, standing outside in 4'F weather. He was professional and very personable, an asset to Lakeside Electric. We will only use them going forward with any electrical problems.

Jesse is the best electrician my wife and I have ever worked with. We gave him a laundry list of tasks to complete: wire our house for ethernet, add two dedicated circuits to our basement, and add and replace a bunch of light fixtures, light switches, fans, and power outlets. He completed all of these very fast, and was super friendly and professional the entire time. He also had super impressive attention to detail. For example, all the new outlets and switches are aligned perfectly with the existing ones in each room, which is something we've never seen other electricians think much about. We have a bunch more electrician tasks we need done around the house, and we'll definitely be going with Jesse and Lakeside Electric for them!

Lakeside Electric installed smoke and CO detectors to help us feel safe in our home that was constructed in 1986. It was a big job because alarms needed to be installed on three levels and smoke alarms installed in four bedrooms. They also installed a ceiling fan which also had to be wired. I used Lakeside Electric on September 2nd 2020 to install 3 hardwired smoke detectors with CO detector as well, I also had them replace 3 old closet lights to keep up with current South Burlington building codes . 2 Electricians arrived at my home on time and ready to start work. They put down drop clothes right away as not not damage my carpeting. Throughout the process they kept me informed as to what was going on in a very easy to understand dialog. They ran into a snag do tho the age and design of my condominium. They were able to come up with a new plan and they proceeded with the installation of the items. We had a minor emergency in our home when a switch failed and resulted in melting of wire coatings within the wall switch box. It smelled very distinctly like there was a fire somewhere in the house. Second note skip ahead 4 months... we contacted Lakeside to do the electrical for a bathroom renovation for my mother. Was able to reach someone on the phone first try on a Thursday for a non-urgent residential need (fan, light fixtures, thermostat upgrade), friendly receptionist told me they would give me a call back within a week and explained scheduling, billing, etc. They then reached out the following Monday and told me to expect the electrician Wednesday, he called Wednesday morning to check my availability and met me at the condo. With only 3 hours billing he fixed a few odds and ends with loose wires/missing connectors to take care of some housekeeping identified on home inspection, then installed a new fan and wall control, 2 thermostats, tightened up entire fusebox. Did not charge me for time to go to warehouse to get supplies and explained everything he was doing, gave me options, etc. Really great experience and I felt the price was more than fair for the promptness and professionalism. Will 100% recommend this company and use them again when it is time to replace a bunch of light fixtures.

Contacted Lakeside about the power being out in an upstairs bathroom (only). We advised that we checked the breaker, and the safety on the outlet next to the vanity, which was true ( we believed that the issue was the lights and fan and that the outlet was fine). Because of the line of questioning prior to making this appt, after the call I rechecked everything in reverse order than prior (meaning the outlet safety as NOT active) and the lights turned on. That saves is the cost of a non-emergency call.
