My 16 y.o. daughter and I were moving to Washington from another state where she already had gotten her license. There was a lot of communication needed with the WA Department of Licensing, and Lallu was diligent and supporting in helping us navigate through the process and get her the extra instruction and testing required. I would highly recommend Burien Driving Academy.

I took my written test way back 2021 and i failed 1st attempt but when i got another test I passed, staff are friendly and accommodating. I got my driving skill test today i was nervous but my instructor (Noah) was so calm and soft spoken, they way he instructed me while i was driving sometimes I’m having hard time to heard it but i can asked him again and is very patient to me. I thought i did not pass but as soon as We back to the office I said I passed. THANK GOD! And God Bless this licensing office I would say BEST DRIVING LICENSING OFFICE EVER! Highly recommended.

10/10 recommend this place for both your tests! They do get busy around the weekend so definitely book I’m advance if possible. The customer service here was great! From the receptionist ( very kind souls) they are very welcoming and the instructors have a very professional and calm personalities so it makes this experience a great one!

I was worried about taking my test after 20 years of not driving so I got the 40 minute class as well. SO glad I did! My Instructor was calm, patient, and helpful. He quickly figured out where I needed help for my test and focused on that. He was amazing and I bbn passed! This is absolutely where I'm sending my son when he is ready. 10/10

After an hour of searching around on Google, I went here because this driving school was the closest and highest rated here. (NOTE: This review is based only off of taking the knowledge test) Customer service was alright, front desk lady and knowledge test proctor seemed nice. Cons: if you plan on taking the knowledge test here, it can get pretty loud and distracting at times. The classroom isn’t completely separated off from the front room. Although it would be nice, this driving school doesn’t provide a knowledge test prep course with free extra attempts like some other schools do. I’m a first time inexperienced driver and I failed the test twice here. The only test materials the school provided was the official driver guide. If you’re a skillfully independent learner OR you had experience with driving then taking the knowledge test here should be no problem. - minus 1 star for noise and distractions while test taking Will update my review after taking drivers lessons here.

Just tested at the academy. Come prepared, show up on time. Front desk person was on her game and pleasant. The proctor/instructor is on task and relaxed. I finished my written knowledge test a little quicker than the practice tests and beat my average easily. Lobby is adequate for 2 maybe 3 people to wait while Front Desk is verifying credentials. Testing area was large enough to sit comfortable at desks spaced properly. The environment was quiet and respectful. Terrific experience on a Saturday. Great job Lallu and staff. Nailed it! p.s. customers/test takers... parking fills quickly. Arrive early and bring your patience, enjoy your success.

This school is average. Only Lallu and the front desk lady were good. Lallu gave good tips and drove for the full hour. The other instructors were late and some were even on their phone. Only go if you want your teen to get their license by 16 but don’t expect for your child to be informed by the end of it.

I love this place so much. I learned how to drive here so easily, and everyone was so patient. I especially loved my teacher Lallu. He not only taught an incredible class, but he helped me basically to learn everything I know about driving. When we would go out on drives, we would have amazing conversations, and my drivers test was made so much less stressful because I had him in the passenger seat beside me. I am very sad now that I no longer get to see him, and the rest of the people at BDA. However, I will always remember them, and I wouldn't have wanted to learn how to drive with anyone else!!!

I went here to do a DOL written test and a driving exam to my get license back. The place was awesome and the people who work here are very pleasant. (Shout out to Kramer) I came here a few days ago to take the written test and bombed, missed 12 out of 40. (Life isn't without humility) The staff had no judgement what so ever infact they cheered me on my second attempt. The second time I passed missing 2 answers out of 40. Don't be like me and just grab a copy of the Washington drivers guide and sharpen your knowledge. If you got any young ones or you just need to get your license back then bring them here. They even have a driving simulator in the back looked like you could play Forza horizon on it. I couldn't of asked for a better experience though Thank you burien driving academy. ✌️

Very good school, took my daughter there to learn and get her test. Staff very friendly and professional. Very good instructor, 7 sessions was all it took for my daughter to be ready for the test and pass it. Not perfect score but that is to no fault of the instructor or school. I imagine everybody's learning curve and abilities are different so my daughter's success story may not be the same for everybody, but what I think would be the same for everybody is the professional and friendly treatment of the staff.

Excellent driving school. We couldn't be more pleased. Lallu is a kind, patient and knowledgeable instructor and a genuinely good human being. The cars are safe and reliable and the location is convenient. My son took driver's ed there and was very happy with the whole experience; he took the instruction seriously and developed solid skills on the road. I took my road test at this location and it made me wish that I had taken my lessons here! The desk clerk was friendly, helpful, and sympathetic in scheduling an appointment for me to take a practice test, then road test. My driving instructor was there giving someone a written test, and immediately said he could take me even sooner than what was originally being offered, which gave me ample time to handle going to a licensing office afterwards. He genuinely cared about making sure that I was able to drive safely in the instructor vehicle, was very patient in his constructive criticism, and acknowledged my anxieties/weaknesses in driving accurately, providing solutions to what I was doing wrong so that I could correct myself. I admit I took lessons at 911 driving school beforehand but they had made me worse at driving due to ramping up my anxiety, whereas with this instructor, I felt calm, safe, and in control.

Had Lallu for my instructor, and wouldn't trade him for any other instructor! Our BTW sessions were never awkward, and he has a friendly and caring personality! His advice, especially with parallel parking, were absolutely helpful and easy to understand! Never been in the driver's seat before taking a class at the Burien Driving Academy, but thanks to Lallu and his advice, I am now comfortable behind the wheels. I had lallu as my instructor. I didn’t know parallel parking or parking in general was actually easy until he taught me! He explain the steps very well. He’s good at finding strategies and explanations that works well for you and he’s really good with feedbacks on how you’re doing. He also give safety tips such as looking left and right if you’re the first one when the light turns green and emphasis on the important things such as looking over your shoulders before switching lanes.

lnstructor Tara DuBois was simply wonderful. She was knowledgeable, calm, and patient in her guidance, which quickly put me at ease. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing lessons, but is nervous about obtaining them. 5 stars all the way!

He takes extra time to give you the little tips you need for your safety in your future. I passed the exam with 91% in my first trail. Honestly, this is the person you wanna deal with for your driving lesson. Good luck!

As a Californian new to Washington's system for obtaining driving credentials, I recommend BDA to do your written exam and driving test. It was simple to get both done here, and not terribly expensive for either.

The first time I came to Burien Driving Academy in person, the staff and the instructors were very nice and made me feel comfortable as I applied for a 45 minute pre-test and skills test. They gave all my questions welcoming answers. During the skills test, I was especially nervous because I never took scheduled driving lessons however, Lallu made me feel very comfortable on the road even when I made a few mistakes. The 45-minute drive is something I highly recommend because during that time, your confidence with the instructor will grow. They take the time to make sure you know what you're doing.
