My mother recommended this place for me. Overall, greatest driving school experience! I was able to take my written test and driving test all in a matter of time. The instructor was super nice, very informative, and honest. Scheduling is super flexible and rescheduling is not too bad compared to other schools. Knowledge test was done on paper. If you’re looking for a simple kind school to go to, I also recommend this place!

Before taking lessons with Mr. Nguyen, I was very nervous when behind the wheel and couldn’t drive in traffic. I took the driving test at this place and had the 30 minute warm up before the test. It helped a lot because practicing from home, I thought I already knew what to do from the teachings of my friends and family although it is much more complex and really have to follow the rules strictly to pass. The instructor was really nice and gave me constructive criticism during the warm up which has helped me a lot for the actual test. Very nice and would recommend this place for your driving testing and practices.

My girlfriend had no driving experience. After she got her permit I tried teaching her to drive, but she was too afraid to drive faster than 5 mph. She took 5 lessons at AA over the course of a week and by the end could drive me around downtown Seattle. She was also able to pass her driving test after that week. The driving instructor is really friendly and knows what he’s doing. I would definitely recommend! Note: I learned to drive in California years ago and really wish I had an instructor like him. If the owner of AA driving school reads this then know I appreciate you!

I came here with zero driving experience and was scared to even start a car. The instructor was really patient with me and taught me all the basics and gave me great advice. I took 5 five lessons with him; at the start, I could barely drive more than 5mph and would get extremely nervous and by the end of my final lesson, I was able to drive on highways and become more confident and even pass my driving test the next day! At first I was hesitant to take my driving test here due to the reviews, however, the instructor was extremely polite and gave good feedback after my test. He was very calm and gave me directions ahead of time as I drove. He was extremely patient with me even as I pressed on the breaks very hard. Would recommend to take your test here for everybody who needs their license.

The teacher (and owner) offers pick-up and drop-off driving lessons and also offers testing based on overall evaluation after you’ve finished the course. He speaks both English and Vietnamese, his English may be a bit broken but that is to be expected from most immigrants. Masks are always required and there is hand sanitizer available inside the school vehicle. I have never driven before and the area I live in has a lot of hills and windy roads, Mr.John Nguyen is very patient and helped me gain confidence in driving every lesson, he also gave helpful safe driving tips while doing so. He also comments on your driving skills as the lesson goes on to let you know your mistakes, and will help you fix your mistakes as best as possible. I have lessons twice a week for about 3-4 weeks depending on how quick I pick up my lessons. In 3 lessons I was able to learn how to drive with traffic, change lanes safely, and go around roundabouts. In my opinion, it doesn’t matter if you’ve learned how to drive from a family member or a friend before. The teacher has the right to treat you as if you’ve never driven at all so that he can thoroughly give you tips on driving, and at the end of the day, he is the one who is grading you for a license. I have read other reviews and have seen many others claiming that he has a temperament issue. I can assure you that his behavior is typical for most Vietnamese immigrant teachers, very stern and straightforward. It may come out as rude to some, but growing up in Vietnam, if you as a teacher are too friendly with a student, it can be considered as unprofessional. I highly recommend this school and the teacher, however if you know or feel like you would have issues understanding broken English then this may not be the school for you.

Instructor John was super helpful in ensuring I felt comfortable in the car. He is very calm and collected which makes a newbie driver like me feel calm as well. I called two days ago to schedule a driving test and he called me back within that day and was able to work with my schedule on when I could test. I came here for a driving test and he was on time,do keep in mind you need to bring cash with you to pay (bank is not a far walk if you forget though). He was very nice, empathetic and the car he provides for the test is well kept and runs smoothly. I enjoyed testing here and recommend others to come here as well.

I just took my skills test a few hours ago and if you are not confident in your driving I suggest you pay for the warm-up. The cars I have practiced in are different to the car I took my test in so it’s super important to get used to the car and also the area. My instructor helped me become a better driver just in those 30 minutes of practice time and I was able to pass my test. You have to allow yourself to learn from the mistakes you’ve made and not blame him for pointing them out because if he didn’t help me learn from those mistakes I wouldn’t have passed my test. I will be recommending him to everyone who needs to take their skills or knowledge test!

Has a brake on the passenger seat so we won't get hurt or in danger. Always contacting me about lessons by both text and calls.
