Highly recommend this school. My primary reason for coming here was to rebuild confidence with driving after a traumatic car accident. I had put off driving for years and the sheer thought of it was overwhelming. I took lessons here with Anthony whom I could not recommend more. He has a positive attitude, calm demeanor and will never push you beyond what you're comfortable doing. He always asked me what I wanted to work on and didn't mind if we spent the whole lesson working on one thing . The freeway was one of my biggest fears and the day I decided to tackle it, he eased my mind by telling me to think of him as my insurance, and that if I decided I didn't want to drive anymore, he could take over from there. Five lessons later, I was finally at a point where I didn't feel like shutting down at the thought of getting behind the wheel again. I don't think I could've been able to get back into driving without Anthony's guidance, I'm soemtimes still in shock that I'm even capable of driving again! If you're thinking about taking lessons here, let them know what kind of learning style + personality you prefer and they'll match you with some options. Because getting back into driving was a big fear of mine, I knew I needed someone calm, not too serious and reassuring and got that in Anthony! Thank you 911 Driving School for getting me back on the road with confidence!

Scheduling was super convenient, plus you can pick who you want to instruct you. Charles Greene was my choice for all 10 sessions + driving test. He was super nice but also told me what I needed to hear. His method of teaching was very effective. If given the choice to go back in time I wouldn’t have chosen anyone else 😁 the locations we drove in also helped with experience for seattle driving, with lots of one way streets and weird intersections that don’t make sense to anyone but the people who designed the streets of seattle. Good school for people who want to drive safe and get experience in more advanced/busy roads

I had the most wonderful experience with 911. I wanted to take the driving test as soon as possible and 911 was the only driving school that was responsive. I booked an appointment the same day for the test + a warmup. I highly recommend the warmup to get used to the car and get rid of the stress while driving. My instructor was Derek. He was very kind and really put me at ease and helped me relax and not stress out. He gave me really good advice during the warmup. We talked while I was driving and it was a very pleasant conversation. I passed the test! Highly recommend! Thanks Derek!

Took 5 classes, knowledge and road test as well. I mostly worked with Antony, and he was always upbeat and optimistic, and always made sure to follow up properly on any questions I had. Although its pricey, definitely would recommend.

I have taken classes from 911 before and I passed my knowledge test but my first try on road test wasn’t good also instructor was rude and cold towards me but my second try on road test was the best experience, I did the practice before test then started the test, Instructor Alexandro was so nice, helpful, and made me feel comfortable, he is patient, kind, always checking up on me asking how I am doing, and so friendly, this is best experience with 911 driving school and instructor Alexandro, thank you for being so nice and making me feel comfortable, I appreciate and would definitely recommend him!!!

I had an awesome experience taking adult driving lessons with David and Derek. Special thanks to David who I took the most lessons with. David was very supportive and knowledgeable. He took the time to understand my goals and gave me just the right amount of information that I need. I would recommend those lessons to anyone who wants to become more confident in driving.

All of them are great instructors. If you have any road anxiety or getting your driving license for first time, I would suggest to go with Rami, He has been quite patient with my mistakes and has a very calm demeanor which was very important for me. When you do a mistake, he makes sure you take a reroute in same class to come back to that mistake again and patiently teaches until the student has rectified the mistake with proper understanding. He remembers and also randomly covers the same mistake again in subsequent classes to ensure consistency as well. It is also less theory and more practical application with him. He also asked for what I want to practice at the beginning of every lesson. If you want a young instructor who is also calm, I would suggest David. I also took lessons with Marc, who is a great instructor with a deep understanding of reasoning behind traffic rules. He also helps you with weighing importance and priorities of different rules both for road test and also in general driving. He made some maneuvers simple for me by breaking down the task into smaller chunks. Overall all the instructors, not only teach you what is needed for your road test, but also ensure you being a safe, better and cognizant driver.

I signed up for a 5 class package at 911 driving school and the people there were very friendly and patient.I had Charles Greene as my instructor for all my classes. If you are someone who isn't confident while driving or gets anxious (like me), I would highly suggest you to go with him. He is extremely good at breaking down the big tasks like parallel parking into smaller tasks and will make you feel completely at ease. He would truly push you to overcome your fears - not just in the moment but for the long run as well. I saw significant improvement in my driving from 2nd class itself and couldn't have passed my test in such a short time without him. Thank you Charles and everyone at 911 for helping me and being so kind!

Had an amazing experience with 911 Driving School. I took both my knowledge and road test here along with two road lessons as preparation and the service provided by 911 and their incredible instructors was always amazing and fair. I had the absolute pleasure of working with two different instructors here (one when I was taking the lessons and another instructor in the road test I took today) and both of them had an incredible ability to instruct calmly and clearly and make the ride feel both informative and tranquil. When I had faults they allowed me to learn better how to fix them. My road test was a perfect example of this as I came in extremely nervous but my instructor/examiner helped calm those nerves down and I proceeded to do well in the test and had an incredible conversation on top of that. Overall amazing people over at 911 Driving School Seattle and I wholeheartedly recommend them to any new or learning drivers.

Took my knowledge and road test here I highly recommend Seattle 911! I purchased the 10 lesson package with a road test. Charles was my instructor for most of my lessons, I also got to work with David for a few classes, and Rami with 1 class. All instructors are calm, kind, and patient. Im so glad to have worked with them! When it came to the day of the test I had an issue with my first attempt the staff were very understanding to my situation, and allowed me to take it again at no cost. Im now a safe, confident, and skilled driver because of this school, and loads of practice.

I went to this school for my knowledge test, 3 driving classes and then the road test. The entire process was really smooth and the staff was really cordial and helpful! I took class under Charles Greene. Under his supervision, I was able to understand important concepts like SMOG, rules of the road, being vigilant while driving. Charles' way of teaching is comprehensive, he helped me understand the logic behind each action to be taken and due to that, things became more intuitive. I highly recommend this school for any person wanting to apply for a driving license.

I had a great experience with Marc as my instructor. Marc was a pleasure to learn from. Always positive and fun which is helpful in stressful moments. Plus he is such a knowledgeable and supportive instructor. He was very calm at my most nervous moments, and he always put me at ease. Whenever I needed extra practice or had a weakness, he made sure to repeat those maneuvers until I was comfortable. I took both my knowledge and road test with the 911 Driving School of Seattle and the ease and flexibility of everyone here is unparalleled. This was also the first time I was learning to drive and I took a 10 lesson pack with Charles. There are no words to describe how much of an excellent teacher Charles is. He groomed me from not knowing anything about driving to passing the test with flying colors in just 10 lessons. I am so grateful to him for making this so easy for me. He was always very explicit in his feedback, which made me learn when I made a mistake and boosted my confidence when I did something right. I specially liked that he took me to the freeway which instantly made me so confident about my skills. I would recommend this school and specially Charles to anyone who wants to learn how to drive :)

I met with a nasty accident almost 2 decades back when I was a kid and I’ve been fearful of driving ever since. When I started out at 911 Driving School, I could barely drive at 12 mph, drove into an oncoming lane, and was making a whole lot of mistakes. I was just gripped with fear throughout the whole time. Today, I did my driving test and I scored a 100!! I couldn’t have done this without Charles Greene. That man truly helped me with facing my fears and preparing for the test. He will be hard on you if he has to, but just know he’s doing that to push you to where you need to be. I also wanna thank 911 Driving School for being patient and helpful with all my rescheduling of lessons.

It is the best driving school in seattle. I had never driven before and took 10 sessions with them, and it was just enough to get a good grip on driving and even pass the test. The instructors are highly knowledgeable and constantly take notes on what skills need some polishing, etc.

I scheduled a warmup(30 mins) and driving test with instructor Bill and it was an amazing experience. I was very nervous and during warm up Bill made sure I was calm and he pointed out my mistakes which helped me clear my test. I would definitely recommend Bill for your driving test

The instructors are quite knowledgeable and helpful. They take notes during each class. I took 10 lessons (+ Knowledge test) out of which 1st 5 lessons were with different instructors. I got perspective from all of them. Although I was learning in each lesson, I figured out that working with 1 instructor for all my lessons is proving more beneficial, which I did from the 6th class. Of all Rami is the best. He is very patient, friendly and approachable. He would point out my mistakes & would make sure to correct my thought process. He demonstrates things well & I would recommend him. Note: Rami only teaches during weekdays in Seattle campus.

I had awsome and friendly experience with 911. I took 10 lessons and driving test and it went smooth. I had to cancel classes due to some medical reasons they were quick to reschedule class with no extra fee. Special thanks to Charles , I havent driven at all and being my first time behind the wheel he made it easy to understand the basics as his teaching techniques are fun to learn. I would suggest to take a class with him and would be worth it. Thanks to Charles, I was able to pass the test in one attempt. Thanks 911 for a great experience.

From the Top: 1) Context : I recently moved to USA from a different country. I was fairly confident about driving (been driving for 11 Years, with an experience of about 70,000 miles) and learnt about Washington state driving laws and cleared the knowledge test outside of 911. I had some experience driving in US (with my foreign license), but wasnt aware if i was making any major mistakes. I decided to go with a 1 hour driving class to get an initial evaluation of my driving which would then be followed by either a test or another class. 2) The first Contact : So i reached out to 911 Driving School Seattle sometime in april via phone. The phone wasnt answered but they got back to me later that day with the availability schedule. I scheduled the 1 hour class (using school car) with Rami Lopez. And oh man, he is sooo awesome. He is patient and very descriptive. He was polite and friendly, and super understanding. He answered my questions to the point, added his own tips, corrected me on a few mistakes that I was making. There were instances when i asked rami to repeat his sentence even 3 times (i was probably focussed on driving, so couldnt process what he mentioned) and he patiently repeated himself each time. At the end of the lesson, i felt fairly confident post and felt i was ready to schedule the test. Feel free to take a feedback from your instructor. 3) Judgement Day : Post the session, i scheduled my driving test via email (Got a response in like 10 mins from the driving school with the schedule and costing). I opted for the warm up (to calm myself and to do another round of implementation of the tips rami gave me the other day). Ideally, on the warm up, you shouldnt be asking a lot of questions about the test or rules. The purpose is to get familiar with the car and get in the driving zone, build your focus and confidence etc that day. But, Rami was quite friendly, and was ok to give me short but useful feedback on the test run too! On the final test session, the instructor provide you instructions of what to do, and lets you do your thing without much feedback or interference which is what Rami did. In the end, i was able to pass the test. Quick Tips 1) Take the 1 hour driving Session : - It helps to get an opinion on your overall driving such as turning, parking tips (to do a quick 2/3 point parking), reversing a corner, being catious etc. - It helps to have minor misconceptions corrected, such as in my case, i didnt know bicyclist need to stop at the stop sign as well. Ask all these questions and get an authoratative answer. - It helps to familiarize with the area. The area in which i was driving had pretty narrow roads with traffic coming from multiple directions. It helps to get a general idea of the area. 2) Be open to feedback : I had been driving for 11 Years, but like every human, i wasnt perfect. Understand that your instructor wants you to be a better and safer driver. They are vouching for your success. They are your teachers and mentors and they dont want to set you up for failure. Maybe they are not familiar with your way of driving, but maybe you are not familiar with a better way of driving. You will understand what it takes, when you try to teach someone how to drive and let me confirm you, its not easy if the person your teaching isnt willing to learn. 3) Consider taking the school car : The instructor has brakes on the school car. They dont use the brake randomly, unless really needed. In my case, i was nervous the first few minutes and humans tend to make mistakes when they are nervous. It is good to have a backup mechanism.

Derek is a great instructor. I was really nervous before my driving exam but he made sure I was comfortable during the exam and he gave me lot of confidence. He figured out my weak areas and gave training to overcome the mistakes I was doing.

I did my knowledge test and driving test from 911 driving school. My instructors were Charles Green & Rami Lopez. I drove a lot with Charles and he was the excellent driving instructor I ever met. He is funny, patient, professional and paying attention to every single detail. He gave me lot of advice and instructions to drive safely. At first I was so afraid to drive on road. But finally I become more comfortable and confident to drive on road because of him. I had successfully passed my road test last week and I could not have done it without him. I took the knowledge and road test with 911 Driving School of Seattle and was highly impressed by their friendly and professional approach to offering the service. The neighbourhood is tough to take the road test, with its narrow streets, vehicles parked on both sides, numerous stop signs, protected and unprotected turns, school zones etc.. But my instructor's super helpful guidance in the warmup lesson helped me not just get a good understanding of the route but also map out key driving tactics to manage during the actual test. He was relaxed, friendly and offered lots of great advice on acing the test. With his guidance, I was able to pass the road test quite easily. Two thumbs up to the school and their staff, I would highly recommend them to anyone considering driving lessons and/or testing services for a WA state DL.

I went here for both my knowledge test and road test and had a great experience both times! I booked a 40 min warm up along with my road test, and I was nervous at first but my driving test instructor Rami helped me stay calm and focused throughout and answered all my questions. He understood which manouvers I needed to focus on and ensured we practiced those at least a couple times. Overall, it was professional, efficient and great value. Highly recommend!

My first experience to get my written and road test in the United States. At this place, I got John who monitored during written test and I passed the test on first try. John was a nice and helpful person. On the other hand, I got Charles as my instructor/examiner and he recommended me to learn the road test video on the website before I had the real road test. Maybe he looked grumpy but actually he was really nice, professional, helpful and funny person. Today was my road test with the instructor, Charles! Frankly, I felt a little bit nervous for the first 5 minutes and then I got my confidence to drive along the road. Finally, I just passed my road test with high score on first attempt😁

I found my experience @ 911 of Seattle very pleasant and time efficient thanks to kind, honest and very responsive staff. For starters, my entire driving schedule was figured out and set up within 15 minutes and via email (thanks Amanda and John). Driving classes exceeded my expectations. Charles applies lot's of common sense knowledge and real life road scenarios in his teachings. Listen, ask questions and You'll benefit from it. I firmly believe I became better driver thanks to Charles honest and open feedback provided with a specific dose of humor. My experience was great, I would not change a thing. Practical exam was a formality - I did pass it without a single point being withdrawn. No stress. Everything was well rehearsed and practiced. I'd definitely recommend 911 of Seattle and Charles as an instructor specifically, to both new as well as experienced drivers.

Took both the knowledge and driving tests here. Their process was pretty straight forward - I booked the tests online and showed up for the tests at the school. For driving test, I purchased the road test with warm-up package and was instructed/examined by Derek (whom I'd credit the 5 star review). He's a fun and knowledgeable person, and helped me feel a lot less anxious about the test. During/after the warm up, he explained my mistakes and how to correct those. Thanks to this, I did well on the driving test and he also made sure to explain where I lost points after the test. Overall, a great experience with the 911 school of driving Seattle and would recommend it to anyone looking to take the knowledge/driving tests.

I took my knowledge test and 10 (1 hour) Adult driving lessons and my driving test in this school. Had 4 lessons with Charles and rest of the lessons with Marc Loveall. The front desk employees are very nice. They are super responsive to the emails. They were kind enough to schedule one more class for free of charge to compensate for the last minute cancellations for 2 lessons. Posting reviews for both of my instructors to help people. Charles: 1. He never wore mask in the car which used to feel a bit unsafe. 2. He goes into too much detail (theory). So I could only drive for just 15-20 mins in every class, since the car used to be parked most of the time while he teaching me theory. 3. He missed some important details while teaching me parking on a hill (like which direction would your front wheels move if the curb is soft, Marc covered all those details for me). 4. By the end of the 4th class, I didn't know how to make turns (left/right) but he took me to freeway in my 3rd class, he could have rather focused on city driving, teaching me how to take turns. Marc Loveall: 1. He is a great instructor. Always made sure the driving seat is sanitized and always wore the mask during the lessons. Felt safer. 2. I started all over with Marc as I was not confident with my driving. He taught me theory very quickly and focused more on practical driving. 3. Once I was confident with the city driving (taking turns, changing lanes), he then taught me parallel parking and backing around the corner. 4. With Marc, I got to practice driving a lot in every class (around 40-45 mins) which boosted my confidence. 5. I scheduled my driving test as well with him and he made me so comfortable that I didn't even realize that I was taking the test and I passed with high score (above 90) in my first attempt. I don't know about other instructors but I would definitely recommend Marc as he is very calm, focuses on practical learning, tells small details and explains with logic which makes it really easy to understand and drive.

My over all experience was wonderful with 911 driving school. I had 4 lessons with David, who focused on boosting my Confidence behind the wheel on the streets . I had other 3 lessons with Marc, who tought me parking manuvers and some freeway practice. He has really good tricks! Last 3 lessons were with Charles, which were epic as he figured out my weak points, focused on improving them. (He is The driving wizard!). With him the experience was like mock tests before the final exam. On last day he even tought me how to fill the gas as he knew I don't have access to practice driving personally before getting license. All instructors were super professional, calm and pointed me towards right direction with encouragement and pointing out weak points in order to improve. Overall they made me ready for the road.

I bought a ten in-car lesson package on their website. And Charles was my instructor through out the all the lessons. And all I can say is HE IS AMAZING. Honestly, I was so nervous at the beginning, but Charles was being so patient with me. He boosted up my confident, and made me realize that driving isn't as scary as I thought as long as I follow what he says and remember what he teaches me, then I will be good on the road. Also, Charles always refer himself as "the grumpy old man." But he is truly amazing and helpful, don't be scared of him. And I am so glad to have him as my instructor through out the whole time, and I aced my road test because I never doubt about what he taught me, and I know he is there is help me, not trick me! If you gotta learn how to drive properly and correctly! you should definitely come here !

Instructor Charles Greene just rocks! I haven't met an instructor who takes such deep interest in genuinely imparting correct concepts along with his wisdom. He is honest in showing mistakes which helps to rectify them. I took 6 driving lessons from him and scored very high on the road test only because of the amount of effort he took on teaching me. He has this unique ability to read your mind and know what you are thinking and custom tailor his response and teaching style to match the student. Hands-down impressed. I loved learning all my lessons with Charles. He is very good with his techniques of teaching (very accurate, systematic and work always). Sometimes his statements might seem like taunts or intimidation, but they are not. He has a unique way of instilling that alertness that's always required when you drive on the road. This makes you a better driver and ensures safety of others on the road. I am so confident now that I can drive well, parallel park and back around corner any time. He is very fun to talk with too. He is considerate and will work with you on what you need. I found him to be really effective. I'm going to train with him for my freeway lessons soon.

Just got done testing here and had an amazing experience. They walked me through the entire process of what I needed to do in order to test and made it extremely easy. I took the knowledge test portion and after I passed it and was looking to schedule my road test, Charles the instructor/examiner volunteered to do the test right then and there because he had a lesson cancellation. He squeezed me in his busy schedule and got me everything I needed to take the test. Awesome service and extremely friendly people. They uploaded my test results then and there and I am able to go to the DMV to pick up my license immediately. Highly recommend to anyone on the fence between driving schools.

I already had driving experience of about 3 years in India and I wanted to get familiar with US driving rules and the feel in general and decided to get single driving class and then give the test based on how I do in the class. Mr. Charles took my class and he is an excellent instructor. He emphasized the important of safety, common mistakes people do during driving tests, explained me the point system for the tests, how many marks each aspect in the test carry. He was also very encouraging and with his encouragement I decided to give my driving test, with warm up, the same day. This time, Mr.Bill took my test. He was also very kind, casual with me. He noticed that I am a little tensed during the test, talked to me casually to calm my nerves and it didn't even feel like I was giving a test, rather just go out on a drive with some one I know very well. Derek, my drive instructor, was very helpful and gave detailed explanations of each maneuver on the practical test. Had absolutely zero experience with driving before taking up lessons here—I couldn't have asked for a better place to start. Each of the 3 instructors I had were very helpful in their own way. They all knew exactly what areas I struggled with after just a few minutes of observation, and always gave the perfect advice on how I could improve in those areas. I was extremely nervous behind the wheel at first, but towards the end of my 10 hours of lessons I came to look forward to each session. Best place to take road test and knowledge test. Best examiner: Derek. I took the knowledge test here and also my road test with the 40 minute practice session. I have come from being a paranoid front passenger seat virtual driver to actually being being the wheels. I was extremely nervous, so nervous! My examiner Derek came to take me for the practice session and my nervousness was whole another level.I could just run away. But he made me comfortable, very comfortable in a super cool and fun way. We talked as we practiced. Made my share of mistakes and kept realising as I did and I kept telling myself thank God this is the practice test. I even burst out crying like a baby in the middle of the practice. Derek gave me a nice talk let me cry it out and then we started again. He was so helpful, encouraging and supportive. At the end of the practice test we discussed my mistakes and he actually told me he saw how paranoid I was and that mock test was my actual test. And I passed!!! Even if I hadn't passed, Derek is an amazing examiner. The other staff is also good here 👍

911 Driving School of Seattle is a great place to learn to drive, even if you have very limited experience on the road – my driving experience was limited to a few hours in my home country many years ago, and I passed my drive test after 5 lessons. I had my lessons with Charles, who is a wonderful instructor. He explained in great detail what I could expect in my test, and gave me tons of general advice on how to drive. If you're respectful, and do your best to do what he tells you, you'll have a great time during your lessons (and if you don't do what you're told, you'll get a stern but fair reminder, and still have a great time), and come away with a lot of confidence on the roads, and a calm and encouraging presence during your drive test. I also did my knowledge test at this location, which was super convenient. Keep an eye out for the walk-in testing times on their website, and come pre-registered with the DOL and you'll be set. I had a great experience with everyone I interacted with here. Be safe, use your head and listen to your instructor, and you'll pass too in no time.

I've been to this school twice, and my experience has been excellent. I had a driver's license from Russia, but needed to get a Washington one. First time was for the knowledge test. I just walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and was told to take my time with the paper test. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. After passing that, I scheduled an appointment for a driving test next Saturday. Both tests were paid for with a debit card, by the way. Got an e-mail confirmation for my appointment. My second visit was for the driving test with additional warm-up. I drove a Nissan Versa hatchback, which is a nice car to take a test on. My instructor was Cory, he was really nice and helpful with answering whatever questions I had. I didn't even notice how the warm-up transformed into an actual test until I was told "Congratulations, you passed!". I totally recommend the 911 Driving School of Seattle.

I only had about 10 hours driving experience prior to this in India. My instructor was Charles Greene. He was extremely patient with me and helped me build up confidence in my driving. He even took me out on the freeway and helped me get over any reservations I had about driving. He was always ready to repeat instructions or answer any questions to make sure I fully understood what I was doing. I took my knowledge test here first, then 10 hours of driving course with the road test. Started with no driving experience before, I passed my road test today. I had 2 classes with Enpart Kociaj and 8 classes with Charles Greene. Learning driving with Charles is very impressive. During the first class with Charles, I did not feel I was getting well with him as I felt he was too strict and mad me nervous. However, as we worked together for several more classes, I felt he is a really patient , professional and encouraging instructor, and I gain so much confidence on driving. He told me afterwards that he was harsh on me in the beginning because I was not driving safely and I did not realize it. I really appreciate his help during the class, and would recommend people to take classes here before they going to their driving tests.

I was transferring an expired license from another state and needed to get through the knowledge and driving test as soon as possible. Carrie was able to get seated with the knowledge test 15 minutes after they opened (along with 3 others). She got me in same same day (actually a few hours from when I got there) to take my drivers test. She runs a fast ship getting customers taken care of which is real convenient when you need to attend a driving school. The knowledge test wasn't too difficult and they give you 3 different attempts (same day or later) in total in the event you fail. The driving test was real laid back. Bill was giving me my test and was great to talk to. He was very friendly and accommodating which made the test fly by. Hopefully I don't need to come back soon, but if I do, it'll be at 911 Driving School of Seattle.

I've had a few driving instructors at this school and the only one I didn't work well with is Charles. I read through most of the reviews for this school and Charles get's the most praise. After my first lesson with him I was very disappointed in my experience because he doesn't seem to teach well as he was described in the reviews. Took the knowledge test and 10 driving lessons here. Scheduling was a nightmare. There is no option to do it online. You have to call and you'd be lucky if someone picks up. I had to call almost everyday just to see if there is availability and to see if the instructors had already put up their availability. I had Andrew, Tiffany, Bill, Charles, and Justin as instructors. Hands down, Charles was the best instructor I had (5 lessons). Andrew, which I had (2 lessons) with, was a good instructor too. Try to avoid the rest. I ended up taking and passing my driving test at another driving school the next day after my last lesson because I didn't wanna deal with the scheduling at 911.

As an adult driver with no driving experience in the USA, I can tell you without doubt, this is the best place you can go. I did my knowledge test first, then applied for a learners permit. I booked 5 lessons online and scheduled them quickly. My first two lessons were with Bill. Great guy, easy to learn from and took away any nerves I may have been feeling. My third drive was with Robert, ditto. Great guy, put me at ease and I was driving with confidence. I took my test on my fourth lesson and scored 96/100. All in all, from my first lesson to passing my test, it took 12 days. I practiced a lot in between. I honestly cannot recommend them highly enough. 10/10. Thanks guys.

The University District center is one of the best driving schools around. Instructors provide a lot of insights and techniques to prepare one for real life driving. You can be a beginner or an experienced driver - you'll still learn very practical nuances on everything from setting your mirrors correctly to practical tips and techniques for parallel parking and backing around a curb. I strongly recommend Rami Lopez and Enpart, as instructors. Overall, I'm glad I chose 911 for my driving lessons!

Then one day I realized I definitely would need one in the future, so I studied the knowledge and took the written test at one of their walk-ins, passed, then signed up for 5 driving lessons. Charles was my driving instructor and right off the bat he was telling me the ins and outs about the road test, what the instructors are watching for, and the fundamental dos and don'ts of driving a vehicle. Using the road is a social affair, DO use your signal and look around, DO NOT crowd the bike lane! Took my road test after the 5 lessons and passed! I moved to Seattle recently from Australia, and used 911 Driving School (Seattle) to sit my knowledge test and to do the driving test. It was all a positive experience, and I highly recommend getting in contact with them if you're needing to get a license here as well. Going for a licence again as an adult can be an odd experience—as my examiner and I joked, it makes one feel like a teenager again!—but everyone at the school was professional, courteous, informative, and helpful. The staff all have extensive experience in driver training and this means that you can be confident that you're getting good advice and instruction not to simply pass a test but to indeed be a safer driver. And they all are personable and good to chat with too, which always helps to make one feel more at ease. I did the package that has a few attempts at the knowledge test, then (on a separate day) the driving test which is a 40-minute warmup driving around session immediately followed by the actual driving test, and I recommend that approach as the warmup session greatly helps with feeling relaxed and comfortable for the actual test. Thanks again to Karen the office manager, to my driving examiner Bill, and to all the staff there.

I recently moved from Australia and needed to take the driving test to obtain a Washington license. The staff here were extremely friendly and helpful. Since I've been driving for a while back home, I felt that I didn't really need lessons but took the 40 minute warmup before the test to get comfortable with the roads. I signed up for 911 Driving School's 10-lesson in-car plan, and with only one important caveat (which I'll get to momentarily) I am extremely happy with my experience there. Both Rami and Charles (the two instructors I had) were excellent, and did a great job of teaching me not only the basics of driving, but also how to be defensive, safe, and provided me with a lot of tips for handling tricky driving situations. This is exactly what I was looking for: my goal wasn't just to pass the driving test, it was to learn how to be a legitimately safe driver. As with any newly acquired skill, I will still need more practice and experience to reach "peak" safety. But I definitely feel that they delivered on teaching me how to do that. (Also, I successfully passed my driving test, and now have my license!) The one caveat that I have in recommending them is that scheduling my lessons felt like wading through molasses. If you have a limited time-frame within which you need to get your license, you should not use 911 Driving School. I assumed that after purchasing the ten-lesson plan, I would call them up and get all of the lessons scheduled. But it turns out that their instructors only post their availability 1 month in advance, and therefore you also can only schedule (at most) one month in advance. Moreover, in practice it ends up being even worse than that would suggest: even when I was really on top of things and called frequently to schedule, it always seemed people got in ahead of me. I _frequently_ ended up with multi-week gaps in between lessons. The end result is that my 10-lesson plan, which I expected to take around 2-3 months, ended up taking between 5-6 months. Purely because scheduling was difficult. Moreover, to achieve even that I had to take a day (Or two? Don't remember for sure.) off work to schedule a lesson on a weekday. So when considering this school, I think a good rule of thumb is that a 10-lesson plan will take around 6 months to complete. Having said that, these difficulties were only for _initial_ scheduling. Their customer service was excellent with already-scheduled lessons. Rami even sacrificed his lunch break to make sure I could get my lesson when one of the other instructors was sick. So all-in-all my recommendation is: if you're not in a time crunch, absolutely go with 911 Driving School. Their instruction is excellent. But if you _are_ in a time crunch, then unfortunately you cannot realistically consider them as an option.

In two days time, I was through with my knowledge and driving skills tests and with a drivers license! The hiccups of undertaking demanding and skillful tests in a country with totally different expectations compared to where I come from, were put aside by the encouraging and good natured atmosphere. The owner Ramie who tested me for my driving skills is extremely good natured, professional and friendly and put me at ease right from the outset. I am so happy that I took driving classes with 911 Seattle Driving School. There school is new in NE Seattle location but its a great location and best experience. I sighed up for 5 driving classes. My instructor was Robert Hensley. Highly recommend him! He is a friendly, very patient, and professional instructor. He did a great job and made me feel confident enough. So after my second class he told me he is gonna testing me for real driving test. Today was my third class, it was dark , rainy and slippery road. He told me to do parallel parking, park and start on hill, and etc. I made couple mistakes but I thought I still practicing and when it will be real test i will not make any mistakes. So when I drove back to driving school he count all my deductible points and said “You’ve got 86 points, You passed your driving test, congratulations”. Next step - go to driving license office and get driver license. I can’t believe that I am passed after two classes. I didn’t drive before and I practice only once with someone. I though he was joking… but he wasn’t. He said he doesn’t want to waste my money, I am good to go. Does the company tell you save your money? I don’t think so.. Highly recommend 911 Seattle Driving School! I read a lot of review before sign up and I decided to stick with 911 Seattle Driving school even they are new and they haven’t any review for this location. They are really good, trust me. I am picky about customer service and instructors. By the way, students if you didn’t pass DOL test it’s not school problem, its your problem, you didn’t practice enough or you really bad driver. Although it seems like they're hard to reach via phone or email (it's much better to just go in if you're able to) it's actually a DOL rule that nobody can answer the phone while knowledge testing is occurring. So, be forewarned. They aren't trying to ignore you. Mondays are the best days for phone calls as they don't do knowledge testing. That being said, once you do have scheduled lessons, the instructors and staff are friendly and easy to work with. By the end of your lessons, you'll be exactly where you need to be. I highly recommend this driving school and its instructors. One thing I did enjoy in particular, was being able to establish a student/teacher relationship with the instructor who would eventually give me my test. It helped ease the stress.

I took the road test with Bill, Justin and Andrew on three separate occasions. During my first and second time, my mistakes were dangerous and I was rightly disqualified. I appreciate the advice Bill and Justin gave me and that helped me a lot. However, the third time, I was disqualified at the whim of the road test examiner, Andrew. Not only was he late in giving instructions (e.g. a 1-2 second notice for a left turn) but also, quite jumpy with the examiner breaks. When I pointed these things out after he disqualified me, he became rude and started referring to my 'apparent' mistakes that he let go (on asking for further clarification, he became evasive and would not answer). If going for a road test, ask for either Bill or Justin here. They are very helpful and definitely just.

I just passed my exam :-) i took 10 classes over a period of 3 weeks. My classes were with Bill (5), justin (2), robert (1) and Andrew (2). For all new drivers out there- i had post traumatic disorder, after meeting with an accident I could not drive again. But it is only because of justin and bill that i was able to clear the test and come out of my fear. Bill you rock. Robert is the owner and in one class he gave me so many tips. He too was very helpful. If you guys are reading this thank you 😄 One of the trainers, Was very rude to me. But 911 gave me a refund for those classes. Make sure you have experienced trainers who can train you well and are patient. You do not want someone yelling at you when you are paying them to teach you. I am giving 4 only for that one bad experience.

Something can be improvement, the attitude of the front desk seems not good and made me a little uncomfortable. More things like exam registration and to confirm code from dmv website need to be done before visiting there. It's better to go there to check it over and to get some references to save your time. FYI, the knowledge test is on paper but not on computer.

This is kind of a reply to the most recent review, because I thought it was funny. There are signs posted everywhere of when testing is, and I've had nothing but great service. I wasn't there when your incident happened, but I know the workers there are very nice people, who get yeld at by crazy people, which sounds like what you are. Not only that, it is very clear on the website and on some signs that they have times set for testing, and they are strict. Just thought I would respond because your post made me laugh on how ridiculous customers can act to people just doing their job. Habia una china a lado y todo su examen esta en mandarin. El examen practico fue sencillo y los instructores super tranquilos y observadores. Al final te explican lo que hiciste mal y porque.
