They had convenient online classes for my daughter to take with 2 working parents. The driving instructors were pleasant and helpful. Scheduling drives was online and easy. We had to cancel a drive pushing out the time when my daughter was supposed to have all of her drives completed; I called the office and they worked with me and extended the deadline. The school made it easy to schedule the written and driving test as well! I would definitely recommend this school for drivers education.

Excellent instructors! Class material and learning was all online which worked out well for our student. My only complaint is that is was very hard to find times to schedule the in car lessons, but that was due to a shortage of instructors. I still think this is likely the best and most thorough driver's ed class around and would highly recommend them!

Very patient teachers and staff. Overall a good experience. I would recommend to others. The only reason for a 4 and not 5 star review are the following areas of confusion for me/opportunity for the school: 1. I signed my child up for classes at the nearest school, with the understanding that the classes would be online. But it was not clear to me until it was time to drive, that the drives were in Kent and not at the school I enrolled my student in. 2. No one ever answers the phone. I know in this day and age, most everything is done in email, but sometimes a phone call is more convenient.

I felt very confident in the instruction given at 911 (my daughter managed to get 100% on the written exam & 96% on the driving exam). The instructors and front desk representatives were informative and friendly. My only criticism... I wish there was a better/more efficient way of signing up for drives. My daughter tried online for months with no luck. It was especially frustrating to hear that friends who were months younger than her had been able to get appointments when she couldn't. When we finally called, Christina (?) was VERY helpful in trying to get her appointments by phone. She went out of her way to call when there were cancellations and when instructors opened up new time slots. It was just a bit disappointing that even though my daughter finished the classes in February, she wasn't able to complete her drives until late November (her 16th birthday was mid-August). Overall, good experience... just needs to find or create a better platform for signing up!

My son recently finished the classroom component of the program. The office was great to work with when the whole family came down with Covid in the midst of my son being scheduled to take class 1 & 2. My son liked his instructor and the make up instructor he had for sessions 1 & 2. So far it's been a great experience.

My son had a wonderful experience at 911 (Kent). They had very knowledgeable instructors (former 1st responders) that made him feel comfortable and gave good advice. They were not intimidating at all which was a huge plus for my son. The only issue we had was we had a difficult time scheduling the drives online but if you call the office they are very friendly and will help you schedule the drives. I would recommend Kent 911 for anyone who is looking for a good, quality driving school for their child(ren).

My son has enjoyed taking driving lessons at 911 Driving School of Kent. The challenging part is trying to schedule the drives with instructors, but they are good about returning emails and calls to schedule drives. Instructors are professional and what better way to support First Responders! I highly recommend 911 Driving School of Kent.

My son and his friend both took their driver's education classes here pre-covid, and both have their licenses and are good drivers. They feel like they had a good experience. I felt like the office staff was easy to work with. I would definitely recommend 911 Driving Schools.

2nd kid that did drivers school with 911 and again they did not disappoint. With this experience, Covid affected the in class learning (had to do it over zoom), but it was just as effective. They did a good job of trying to get his drives scheduled due to being back logged as a result of Covid closures. I appreciated the patience and helpfulness of the office staff when I’d call for assistance. The best part for my son (who has anxiety) was his driving instructor, Steve, at the Kent location. He truly made a difference in helping my son drive. He was always personable and kind, positive with feedback, and very encouraging. If I had any more children, I’d send them to this school again for learning to drive.

Friendly staff and that 1 hour warm up before the test was well worth the money! Gives the driver a chance to understand what to expect and gives an opportunity for questions before the test. My niece passed on her driving test on her first try!

Pretty good, most of the instructors I’ve met are really helpful and good at teaching simpler ways to do some hard skills on the road… it is super hard to get a drive appointment so I take every opportunity I get!

Wonderful instructors! Scheduling is tough due to COVID-related backlog, but one driving instructor in particular stood out. Mike did a great job in his coaching, cuing and repeating mnemonics to my daughter. He was calm and kind. He also shared a little bit about his time with Washington State Patrol. Great teacher!

I had a wonderful experience at the 911 Driving School of Kent. My teacher, a retired police officer, was amazing. He kept the classroom time entertaining and upbeat while teaching us important rules of the road. My driving instructors were calm and courtesy. I would highly recommend 911 Driving School of Kent. I get sent to the driving schools voice mail 2/3 times I call for a simple drive or knowledge test. I have to wait for call back most of the time and sometimes I miss the call back. It’s like a cat and mouse game. Better get test done at other schools.

My husband and I love this place. We were referred by a close friend of the family who sent her daughter through the drivers training. We then sent our oldest daughter through their program and heard about the robust training, the stories they share of the loss of loved ones from driving under the influence etc., we sent our remaining five children with no regrets. We paid allot of money but it was so worth it. I love that retired police officers are the instructors and that they teach defensive driving skills. We highly recommend 911 driving school for everyone who needs to learn how to drive.

The hands-on driving experience my son received was very well. I believe it helped him prepare for when he passed his skills driving test. However, I rated 3 stars because the on-line instruction was not engaging. I was listening during each lesson and the instructor talked more about his experiences when he was an active police officer rather than teaching the actual curriculum. My son took the Knowledge Test with Kent 911 and did not pass on his first try. He took some time to study and took the Knowledge Test again with Kent 911 and they told him he did not pass again. They told him he received the same score as the first time he took the test. He was adamant he did not fail. He asked Kent 911 to double check his test score, and he received no response back. We decided to have my son take the Knowledge Test at a different driving school. On the day of his scheduled test, this new driving school informed us that my son had already passed the knowledge test as it was put in the system by Kent 911. My son finished his driving skills test with the new driving school and passed first time. I am very disappointed in Kent 911 for providing mis-information to my son about his second Knowledge Test attempt and then not even having the common courtesy to let him know he actually passed. He waited an additional few weeks to study more just to find out he actually passed. He could have taken the skills test during these few weeks and received his license quicker. Kent 911 needs to improve their instruction to ensure it is focused on the material. Kent 911 also needs to improve their record keeping and communication so others will not experience what my son went through.

Went here for my skills test and passed it fairly easily. My instructor Aaron is so vocal and passionate about everything that you’re gonna do in the test. He’s an awesome instructor. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to get their license.

I am grateful for the instructors! This was a birthday present for my daughters 15th. She was not a happy camper at the time. She did not appreciate or understood the importance of having a driver License. On her 16th birthday she took her exam and passed with flying colors. This was all because of the qualified and knowledgeable instructors who dedicate their time and efforts to helped my daughter be a safe driver. Let me add, at the end of every lessons, instructors took the time to address problems to work on in order to avoid for future and tackled them. The price packages for driving lessons are so worth and reasonable. If you are military, more of a discount. Please, if you have a teenager who is about to start driving, is so worth it to pay the xtra money and go with 911 Driving school because they care for your precious gem. To these instructors is not even about the money is about mentoring your child’s and making sure to be safe on the road. Is been almost year now, and my daughter has thanked me for giving her the best gift ever. The best gift was her independence with driving. No one in her jr class has a license. This whole experience with this driving school has helped my daughter developed into a responsible individual who goes to college, and high school is very on point and respects the rules of the road. As a family we found 911 Driving School of Kent to be both professional and responsive to our sons needs, due to his 504 accommodations. 911's on line Drivers Ed classes provided expert instruction while attending class and also responsive to any questions sent BY email after to 911. We cannot recommend them enough, and will be registering our younger son when he comes of age.

I highly recommend 911 Driving School! I used them for my teenage son. They are knowledgeable and professional. The instructors are friendly and made my kid feel comfortable while learning important driving skills. Everyone was very helpful, flexible and patient when dealing with challenging school and sports schedules. While it was frustrating for me to teach my 16 year old son to drive at first, I decided to go to 911 Driving School to give him the proper techniques. 911 Driving School had the ease and flexibility for appointments and the instructors are all with law enforcers or first responders background that gave me a peace of mind for security. Between the practice that we had coached and the 10 hours with 911 my son passed his road test with 100%.

911 Driving School of Kent is the best driving school I've ever attended. The instructors are always nice and supportive, and they provide a quality experience in the classroom and on the road. An important mission of this school and its instructors is to ensure that their students complete this course with an understanding of how to be safe on the road and - let's face it - return home alive. With that at the core of their purpose, it doesn't feel like some old man is barking at you on how to operate a motor vehicle. Instead, it feels like a family member or someone you can depend on is guiding on how to be a mindful driver. In other words, the school and its instructors care about your life, and it shows in the quality education that you (or your prospective student) will receive. Hands down, this is an amazing driving school and I recommend it to all new drivers and parents. You won't be disappointed.

Grateful for this wonderful drivers education school! I have had 2 kids that attend here 2 years apart. Both years the instructors are awesome, professionals in their careers and they really help the student learn not just how to drive, but respecting the responsibility of being a driver. We have had 2 sons go through the program and we were very pleased both times. They have very different learning styles, but both got a lot out of it and enjoyed it tremendously. Our youngest child had to do the remote option because of the pandemic, and we were disappointed in the prospect. However, the instructor, Steve, did a great job of remote instruction and making sure that everyone had individualized attention and their questions got answered. The in person drives we’re excellent and all of the different instructors focused on safety and learning and provided a great set of instruction. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 911 driving school to any of our friends or family. Overall excellent experience.

My son loved the school. He got into the car after each class excited sharing different things he has learned and stories he had heard. He normally does not test well in general, but with how well he was taught in the different ways they went over the information, he passed the written test with a 98%. With all the feedback they gave him on each drive and information to review he wasn’t even nervous to take his drive test, passed that with a 98%. I felt like after each drive it was great to hear from the instructor what I needed to work on with him. Anytime I have any questions the office staff was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed it so much we signed our daughter up when she was ready to take driver’s ed here as well.

The overall experience was good just circumstances that did not work out in our favor with COVID and social distancing requirements. My son was already a later start in age and could not get drives scheduled in a timely manner to meet the requirements before he turned 18, so we we’re kind of done with it all and now he is trying to get his license. 911 Driving School was the best decision we could have made when sending our grandson to driving school. The price is very reasonable and the training is excellent. Even while going through the pandemic, 911 was able to teach the rules of the road and take my grandson out for his mandatory on road driving sessions. They provide the written test and once you pass that you make an appointment with the DMV to take the written test. Because of their teachings my grandson passed his driving test on the first try and has his license.

Their online class is very good - I personally find it not only practical but also as efficient. The teacher(s) are qualified teachers with experience in their fields. The study material definitely help the students learn well and the test was done well, easy to understand by students. By the time I’m writing this review my kid isn’t doing the practice driving yet so I’ll update on that more later. Communication with office staff is also good. It was easy for me to understand regarding to their system/process (after covid).

It was so nice for my son to be able to just attend the classes at his high school after school. Getting drives scheduled was a bit challenging as there seemed to be a backlog of previous students trying to wrap up their requirements at the same time the next class was getting started with theirs. However, the online portal to schedule drives was fantastic and you could check often to see what was available.

Passed my road test today!!! Went to the Kent location. The instructor was very nice, kind and accommodating! 😁 I didn’t even catch his name or maybe I just forgot. He even said ‘you got this’ and gave me some tips before the drive and it definitely boosted up my confidence. Many thanks to him! Everybody was very professional. Unlike the other place that i first went to in Auburn. It warms my heart that there are driving instructors out there who truly cares about their students. I 100% recommend this place! I would totally rate this driving school 10 stars ⭐️

All three of our girls went through 911 and I highly recommend it. Always had great interactions with the staff and there's certainly something about getting education from people who have first hand experience with bad driving outcomes that instills a higher sense of responsibility in young drivers that they might not get otherwise. Great driving school! It is extremely convenient to have driving lessons, the written drivers test and the behind the wheel test all able to be done in one location. The whole experience with them has been stress free (save first time teenage drivers nerves) and very well organized. We have our son coming of driving age in a year and a half and will be using 911 DS-K again.

Super great instructor, Bill who taught right at their high school so it was very convenient. He was very knowledgeable and prepared the students well to take the written test immediately afterwards. He was also great to do the student drives and as parents we felt safe with our daughter in the car with him.

Great place to take the road test. My teacher was really friendly and very helpful. He answered all my questions before the test and gave me useful tips that helped me out in the test. Highly recommend the warm up if you're feeling nervous.

I'm so glad I sent my son here. Instructors Steve Ives is awesome. His teaching technique is on point. He has so much experience being a police officer. He can tell the kids real life experiences of what happens when your texting and driving, and others bad habits not to pick up. It's a little speedy but it's worth every penny snd then some.

We enrolled my daughter during quarantine. She’s our oldest so no other experience to compare. Learning virtually went well. I loved not having to drive and pick up for class. Rick although still acquainting himself with virtual learning, was able to deliver his lessons effectively. My daughter said he was great. Felt confident in how much she learned. Aced her tests. She said Rick was the best because she respected his experience and information, but also his desire for his students to learn to drive safely. Because of the backlog of students not being able to do their drives during quarantine...we had to be patient. Today was her first drive with s. Perry and she was surprised at how comfortable she felt after meeting him for the first time. She had a nice drive and is looking forward to the next one. We are satisfied with our experience. We have two families that have signed up based on our great experience.

We love 911 Driving School of Kent. All of our kids have taken Driver's Ed there. Instructors Bill and Rick are amazing. Scheduling drives and taking the tests are easy to do (harder with COVID). We definitely recommend them. They aren't the cheapest, but the instructor's professional demeanor and law enforcement background allows them to connect with the kids on a personal level-especially as it relates to driving impaired.

Took my knowledge test her and really loved the instructor. He was kind and explained everything well. I took my skills test here and it seemed much more unclear what the instructor wanted me to do. I wish he could have used more understandable terms such as “please parallel park behind this red truck” instruction was quite confusing and me already being extremely nervous had trouble understanding what was asked. I did not pass and was brought to tears by the news of not passing. The instructor himself was kind and I have no hard feelings because he was doing his job. I just think clearer instruction with terms we are already studying should be used.

More difficult then normal due to covid but they handled it very well. Hard to get a hold of them but they do respond quickly. Prices seem reasonable but you do have to pay for your test(s). I know other schools give you one with the package you purchase. Overall a good experience and i will send my next driver there

I really liked taking drivers ed at 911. The staff was very nice and understanding. The classes are easy to understand and it really was a good system and program. Overall, 911 is a great program and helped me become a good driver. However, at times they did seem intimidating and short too. There are a few drive instructors that are kind of rude and seemed like they didn't care and would tell me I was doing something wrong by raising their voice rather than simply telling me. Overall, it was a good program, and worth the money.

The 911 Driving school has been great from start to finish. I learned everything I need to learn how to drive, and this school taught more than every other school in the way of driving safely. Any time I talk to my friends (who didn’t go to 911) about driving, it is clear that I have learned more than them in every aspect of driving and being safe on the road. The teachers all know what they are talking about and they really care about their students. I couldn’t be happier with my experience with 911. I started scared of driving and now I can say that I feel confident in my abilities. If you ever have to choose between schools, let these reviews tell you the right decision, it is fully worth the money.

My daughter did driver's ed four years ago at 911 and I still think from time to time (like now, as she prepares to drive home from college) about how grateful I am that we chose 911. She is an excellent driver and has even given me useful advice. Instructor was very knowledgeable and a genuinely nice guy. We will enroll our son at 911, no doubt.

Great experience all around. I have 16yo twins who did their class time with instructor, Mike Mong. He kept the time online engaging and interesting an fun in the midst of summer 2020; with Covid restrictions. Also they learned so much in five drives! The scheduling and testing experience was also flawless and we appreciated the great feedback they received when they took their driving tests.

I took a road test with 911 Kent. The instructor was super nice and helpful (sadly, i do not remember his name). But the part i was thoroughly impressed was the after service. With the COVID situation and the appointment delays, I was confused about a lot of things related to actually getting the license after the tests. I had a lot of questions, and after a week of taking the test, i called them up to see if they can help. To my surprise, the customer service exec patiently explained to me over the phone the entire process, and answered every question in detail. This was in stark contrast with my experience at another 911 Driving school branch, where I had taken my knowledge test. They were rude, answered in one word, and not at all helpful. If you are contesting between which 911 driving school to go with(for the tests or for lessons), i would highly recommend this branch!

Update May 2022 daughter has been in class since March 2022 and drives are unavailable, zero communication on when they will fullfil their obligations to schedule them, and extreme disappointment we didn't use I5 as they are scheduling drives when you sign up. 911 has scheduled more students then they can handle and are dropping the ball on our students. They need to stop scheduling classes until they get caught up on drives!! 2020 original message! Instructor's are highly trained, friendly and made it fun. Steve Perry is awesome both in class and on the road!!

Now with our second kid we find the communication to be disappointing and our attempts to ask for clarification have been met with condescending responses from office staff. Additionally, scheduling was not made clear. We just learned this weekend that an additional day of online instruction was added for this week. This just caused more stress to an already frustrating experience.

This is a wonderful school where the kids safety is important. Classes are fun and interactive. Parents are welcome to stay and learn as well. If you child has a "different learning ability", such as mine, they will work with your child. They want safe drivers on the road. The hardest part is scheduling the behind the wheel drives. They are usually booked up. Just have to keep looking for an open slot.

I had 2 instructor and one of them was awesome and basically engaging, but the other one talks really boring and kept talking about his personal experience which sometimes bores the class. I had a late class so there has been days where I've actually fallen asleep. The experience at the driving school was actually okay good until when I was on one of my drives, the instructor made some rude comments that was toward autism which I found offensive. My brother is autistic so I didn't appreciate his comment, but over all, the experience was okay. EDIT: Very nice customer service.

Good customer service. I took my son to take the knowledge test for his permit. I didn't like it that it was in writing and they dont give you the results right away... I would to thank the person in charged of the testing area for been so nice and making sure of keeping the testing area disinfected and clean at all time. Everybody said that this driving school was the worst, nobody ever passed, teachers were tough, etc. I took my driving test here, best choice I could’ve made, the staff was friendly, instructors were patient and kind, and most of the time they don’t answer the phone but if you leave a voicemail they will get back to you within that day. Went into the office ( check the hours, they are later in the day and don't usually open till noon ) and scheduled a written test. Cash or card is due when test is scheduled. Show up 10 minutes early for any test. Professional attitude from every employee and very clean and professional facility. Instructor was thorough, firm but fair attitude. They call about an hour or 2 after testing is complete and you can schedule the driving portion of the test on the phone at that time ($40 with your own vehicle, $60 to use theirs). Again, you must pay at the time you schedule this test as well over the phone. I was able to get in about 3 or 4 days later for a driving test at 10am. Instructor was firm but fair, was extremely helpful and informative prior to the start of the test ( during test there's no talking just instructions from the instructor ) Study the Washington drivers guide ( not available here, you must go to the DMV or download the online version ) and you can get licensed in only a few days. Under $100 total for both tests, less if you use your own vehicle. They also provide classes for new drivers, defensive driving, etc. Would recommend this place to anyone. Excellent 👌👍 all around.

This is an excellent program! My child took it in 2019 so it was in person in a classroom at high school. There was good preparation for the test, and it worked out well for the driving lessons too. One of the driving instructors would say over and over, "Gas gas gas gas gas gas!" or, "Left left left left left left!" etc while the students were driving, purposely to get them used to paying attention despite other noise and distractions around them, which was a good experience. We were very pleased with the program, especially since my child passed both written and driving on the first try. Thank you!
