When I was looking for a driving instructor for my daughter, Quahog Driving School was highly recommended by a good friend. I have the highest praise for owner Billy Goodwin. He was extremely knowledgeable about the entire process and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the experience even though she had the usual nervousness about learning to drive. Each session built upon the previous one and before she knew it, she was driving 55 mph on 95 and going up College Hill. She passed her driving test on the first attempt! If you have the need for a terrific driving instructor and school, I absolutely recommend Quahog!

Billy was fantastic to work with…always professional but also calm & relaxed (which is helpful for nervous, teen drivers). It was easy to schedule lesson times for my daughter and I also liked that payment was broken into 2 installments. Billy always got out of the car when he arrived/dropped off our daughter for lessons and spoke with us about what they worked on during the lesson and which skills my daughter needed to keep practicing. It was helpful that there was plenty of lesson time spent practicing the maneuvers that are part of the driving test and Billy gave my daughter lots of little tips to help her complete the maneuvers successfully. We now have another licensed driver in our house! I would definitely recommend Quahog Driving School!

My daughter had the opportunity to get her lessons from Quahog Driving School, and the experience we had with from day one was phenomenal. Billy is the instructor he was awesome, made her feel comfortable and went above and beyond to help her out. He was so knowledgeable, skilled and very professional and patient. I cannot thank him enough for teaching and recognizing the skills my daughter needed to focus on, they are truly the best! She wouldn’t have passed her test on her first attempt if it wasn’t for them. I strongly recommend this school everyone who wants to learn.

If it weren't for Billy and Quahog Driving School, I would be bald and my daughter would not have her license! Billy is a blessing who does not let moody teenagers defeat his demeanor. He is professional while teaching safety, yet calm and patient, with a sense of humor thrown in. Billy was simply amazing. He is extremely well organized , communicative , flexible and highly engaged. He consistently reminded me of upcoming appointments and also kindly fielded and accommodated every schedule switch I had to make! He’s a kind, friendly , supportive , enthusiastic and accomplished teacher and thus Connor felt supported and at ease on day one. The ease of process towards getting Connor first signed up to picked up and dropped off FROM the final driving test was incredible. As a working Realtor my schedule is ever evolving and knowing Bobby would handle the lessons and the logistics of test day including the final paperwork prep was invaluable. Billy is a great person and stellar driving teacher. I’d give him 6 quahogs if possible !

I cannot say enough great things about Billy and Quahog Driving School. He had so much patience with my son and really made sure that he was not only ready to pass his test but ready to be on the road and be a safe driver. Communication with Billy for everything as from scheduling of lessons, to the driving test was absolutely seamless and he was there to answer any and all questions that we had and during Covid there were a lot of hiccups along the way and he was right there to help and guide us. He even saved us the time in having to notarize our documents! In addition to just being super nice and and helping to calm my son's nerves; these lessons and using the vehicle (as well as the insurance discount) were well worth the money and I would recommend this school to anyone who asked.

Billy is a very experienced and calm instructor, I took his lessons (4 days, 1.5hrs each) and am now more comfortable on the road. He's very accommodating if you need help outside of the driving lessons and with setting up a test schedule for those who are going to take the driver license test. He makes you feel confident and doesn't yell or make you feel anxious even when you make a mistake. I randomly found him searching for driving schools and feel that I made the right choice.

Billy the owner was beyond AMAZING!!! I cannot say enough about him and his exceptional service. From the very 1st communication to my sons actual road test Billy was there every step of the way! He was beyond accommodating and so flexible with our sons busy athletic schedule even working on Fathers Day to squeeze in an extra lesson so our son was truly comfortable and prepared for his road test 3 days later!!! Billy is a great instructor who makes you feel comfortable on the road and safe when you're driving. Driving for an hour and a half each lesson barely felt like any time at all despite the fact that I do not drive for long periods of time very often. He is good at making driving fun and he will help you become a better driver and feel more confident in yourself! Highly recommend :)

I hired a different school in December to teach my daughter with an autism spectrum diagnosis. Anxiety is crippling, this school did not get it . Many Delays due to covid, her road test was scheduled for 8/18, her last driving lesson was 8/10. During that lesson the instructors words were unkind and Gruff. These comments shut her down. She was not gonna drive, she wasn't good enough, I knew she had the capability. I did not want this mans rude words to end the progress we had made. My friend referred me to Quahog and Billy. Billy rearranged his life to accommodate back to back lessons so my girl would pass the road test, and pass she did! Billy was patient, calm, kind and compassionate. Billy's best quality was his ability to read her body language and stressers, he gave her confidence, treated her as a valued person. and really formed friendship. Don't make the mistake I did, call Quahog driving school, you will not regret it.

Been trying to think of a perfect way to say thank you. (Eventually when things are less covid complicated I want to do a video testimonial.) anyway I am an autistic woman with severe anxiety. I was originally in another driving school however they didn’t know how to help me learn. Quahog did. Billy was my instructor. He dedicated his time and kindly worked with me. He helped teach em how I learn. (Which is very very hard to find even in trainer teachers.) So then why should you choose Quahog? -They know how to work with those who are nervous/afraid at first! Let’s face it Rhode Island (and to some degree mass) has a reputation for road rage,pot holes ,and bad drivers. All these things can make learning scarier. Billy provides a safe environment for learning and understands the feelings of his students. -Quahog is incredibly personable. They check in and update about what has been learned and what can be practiced for the next lesson in a helpful and stress free way. -Quahog knows how to provide an environment conducive to all learners! Including students like me with adhd , autism or both!! There are so many more reasons but these are the ones I find most important. Thanks Quahog!!
