Jemmy is the best driving instructor I have ever had! If you are an anxious driver she really calms you down and make you feel comfortable on the roads. I let her know about my driving test date and time and she arranged me to practice with her right before the test. I was able to get my license this time only because I practiced with her. Very good school. I passed my driving test today! I came in knowing nothing and came out a pretty good driver. I did 10 hours. The one thing I would think that should be bettered is the communication because at first my instructor didn’t know at what time I had classes. After it was settled, everything went smoothly. I bought 3 lessons in October or November of 2021and received two before the end of the year. Communication was not the best, and I have not heard a single thing from Kathy since December. Scheduling was not consistent because of myself so I’m placing no blame for that. However I have reached out multiple times since January and have had no response, even when asking to just get a refund for the last lesson. The lessons themselves were great and I am now a good driver, but nothing else about the service is deserving of praise. I don’t care about the money anymore, it’s just a poor move on their part.

You probably won't get a better deal anywhere else. Kathy is an amazing teacher and now I am much more comfortable behind the wheel! She has all of the good qualities someone needs in order to be a successful teacher. I had taken driving lessons before with a bigger company which cost hundreds of dollars for six two hours lessons. When I started driving lessons with Kathy, I realized that my previous instructor didn't teach me everything I needed to know about driving. I learned so much more from Kathy than I did from my previous lessons. I just earned my driver's license today thanks to Kathy! You get more here for a lower price. I highly recommend Kathy's Driving School.

Kathy’s driving school is amazing. She truly is a patient instructor, although I was a bit nervous in the beginning she was there every step of the way and helped me become a better driver. She is a very loving, caring, and compassionate person and I genuinely recommend her to anyone who is looking for an instructor. She is able to pick you up and bring you to the site for just $35/hour and although it sounds like a lot trust me it is worth every penny because by the end of the practice she has already prepared you for the exam by telling you everything that you should expect on it, and she sets the radio for you to get comfortable. Kathy is such a great instructor! I had very little experience driving before taking her lessons, but I just passed my first road test today after five hours of practice with Kathy. She is so sweet, patient, and funny, which put me at ease when I was nervous and self-conscious about making mistakes. She closely observed my driving during the practice sessions, helped me identify my weaknesses, and had me practice those skills until they felt natural. So sweet and very patient with you. This school is affordable and teaches you everything you need to know in order to be a safe driver and pass your road test. I gained confidence by the end of my second lesson. I felt less anxious about the road test because I was prepared. Let them know what areas of driving you want to work on more and they will help you. I did my road test last year at the Cranston DMV with all the covid-19 changes and I’m so glad I came to this school because of that. I'm one of those people who never EVER writes reviews but I had to do it for Kathy, she is just so good. She was very prompt in getting back to me when I first contacted her. The first time I spoke to her, she was friendly and patiently answered all of my queries. The best part is that the price includes pick and drop which is VERY convenient. From the first class itself she put me at ease. She was patient, calm and friendly - all pre-requisites for a good instructor. Due to an unavoidable commitment, I had to reschedule my class and she adjusted without creating a fuss about it. She even sends reminder texts the evening before the class and is very prompt in replying back to any questions. Even though I was practising driving on my own and thought I could pass the test, in hindsight I think it was a good decision to learn from a professional as she helped speed up the process and taught me minor details which I otherwise would have missed. I passed my test like a breeze. I thank Kathy for that and would HIGHLY recommend her.

Kathy is one of the best instructors in the state. This woman knows exactly what she is doing and knows the road test like the back of her hand. She is patient, very observant, and has wonderful teaching methods. I was a nervous wreck before taking the road test, in fact I failed it the first time which is what brought me to this driving school. With Kathy’s training and instruction I was able to score very high on the test. I used to have this tight sinking feeling in my stomach when I thought about getting behind the wheel, and now I’m just sitting here with butterflies while I wait to take the picture for my license. Low rate lessons, coupled with an amazing instructor who has good rapport with the DMV, why would you not choose Kathy’s. PS: Literally everyone at the DMV knows Kathy and she even helped out translating instructions for the Spanish speakers who came for the test. So a heart of gold too? What’s more to ask for

Kathy’s driving school is fantastic! And Kati and her husband are amazing too! When I searched the driving school within 5 miles at the Downtown of Providence on Yelp, there are six hits. Only Kathy’s Driving School is open on the weekend. This is much suitable for an office worker. Their prices are very fair. My permit would be expired within one week. And I just had only one opportunity for my road test. The appointment was scheduled three days later. After I contact Kati, she immediately scheduled me to have a practice the next day, one day before my road test. Kati was so kind that she reminded me of the training in the evening. Please bring your permit with you! Their car has an eye-catching sign on the top: KDS. Kati is an excellent trainer. She stands in your position to teach driving step by step until you completely understand. You will know where you should put your arms, hands, legs, eyes and even mouth (you need to keep silent when you do the road test :)). She will go through the road test with you in detail. Kati showed me every road that might be used during the test. She pointed out the STOP signs to remind me which are blocked by trees. I heard from several friends who failed their tests because of the unseen STOP signs. The trick is that we should pay attention to the white line crossing the lane which always appears with the STOP sign... At last, I genuinely recommend Kati to anyone who is looking for an instructor for their road test! You will be in good hands, and good luck! P.S. Bring some cash with you because DMV will charge you the transaction fee when you use the credit card.

A while back my girlfriend had her driving test. Unfortunately we did not have a car that meet the testing requirements. The morning of the example all my plans fell through and we were scrambling to find a car. I called several different schools and all were charging a ridiculous fee to use the car. I called Kathy's about 20 minutes before her exam and she meet us at the site and even gave her a test run before taking her exam. The fee was far lower then the rest and I highly recommend Kathy's.

I have my test on april 8th and have taken 2 classes until now and plan to take few more....my experience till now has been excellent....kathy & her husband are super friendly and super professional.....she has been very patient in teaching me....excellent servicve...anybody in and around providence looking to learn driving kathys driving school is the best you will find....
