Roadmaster offers life-altering career CDL truck driver school for those interested in pursuing a job in the very lucrative trucking industry. Pick up the phone and call them now for more info. They have financing options. They have job placement. They're flexible. And it was fun! I went from Nov to Dec last year and got my CDL, a good paying job and I'm on the road right now. Speak with one of their admission recruit specialist today! You won't regret it.

When looking for a truck driving school Roadmaster is by far one of the best CDL schools out there. Please keep in mind that you as the individual must be willing to put in effort and listen and take critical feedback or else improvement just simply won’t happen. I do strongly recommend before you attend get your Class A Permit along with your endorsements because it’ll be one less thing off the checklist to do even though endorsements are NOT required but still might as well complete them rather than later. The first week will be learning policy and procedures so take notes to better protect yourself. The second week is pre-trip inspection. I cannot stress enough to study the truck in every possible way because the sooner you learn the parts of the combination vehicle the sooner you can move to next section. Week 3 is learning to straight-line, offset, and parallel parking as well as on the road driving. Week 4 is polishing and taking the final. Ask questions to the instructors. Instructor Mary has words of wisdom that are like gold so listen and implement that feedback. Instructor John and Michael also provide hands on feedback while on the road so take it seriously. Instructor Shaun and Craig are really great at helping you correct the parking maneuvers. Also even if something is troubling you personally Ms Devon is an excellent source of support. To all those about to attend I wish you luck many opportunities will open with a CDL license.

Half of the things they teach are useless, they get you ready for the test but not for the road. The parking techniques are useless, you will never do alley , offset. They need to teach truck stop parking, dock parking, trip planning, trailer hooking, unhooking. You will pass your test for sure, but about been a truck driver , only 10% of what you learned will be useful. After you get hired by the companies they help, wait 6 months and move on. May , Werner and covenant will work you like a slave in the mines of China, .36 cpm was ridiculous when I was working for May trucking, running 10k miles a month my check was 680 a week and the bonus you work for is 300 a month .

I went to Roadmaster in April 2020 after coming from another school nearby that was a waste of time. So, I can compare and know what I am talking about. Roadmaster, one instructor to 4-5 students. Other, one instructor to 15-20 students. Roadmaster, the instructors want you to pass. Other, they could care less. Park your vehicle by the road and you can see what Roadmaster does. I made the mistake of going to Roadmaster with my cup half full because I went to the other school when it should have come with an empty cup. The manager, Devon, wants you to pass and will help you if you ask her. But when I went there it was $7000. It's a lot. If you could get the work grant of $4000 and you just pay $3000, it's worth it. If you decide that trucking is not for you then you just owe $3000 but you still have a cdl for other uses. Remember, Roadmaster is own by Werner. If they sponsor you, then you are "working" for them day one of the school. If you have a sponsor from another trucking company, then you make sure you get all the training that is on the contract you sign with them.

I transferred to the Phoenix location because I was enrolled in Las Vegas but it closed due to Covid19. When I arrived, they already had my records and got the ball rolling that same day. The instructors all care very much about your success and will give you all the instruction you can handle. The school manager is very engaged with the students and will know you by name. She is very efficient and approachable. If you need something extra, just ask her and she makes it happen. Everybody is treated with utmost respect. There weren't any instructors back stabbing other students either. A very fresh breath of air in that department. If you are really ready to lean and are willing to put in some self study, this is the place to go. Come exam day, I was fully prepared and passed the Pre-Trip, Skills Pad, and Road Test on first attempt. Thanks Roadmaster

The Pheonix location is lead by Director Ms. Devon L, whom from start to finish ensures she and her staff place Professional Drivers On the road. The instructors are great. fun and know what they are doing, very supportive and encouraging. Mr. Craig is a Guru, he is patient ,crazy and always seems to know how to correct your mistakes and has a way of making you see what you are doing wrong and shows you how to correct it. Daniel is my guy kept me engaged and pushed me . The only two reason I didn’t give a five star is because I do believe we should have more time on pre trip and also skills and it was hot as HELL !!!! Overall I thought this was a great school. I didn’t like that the first week we had to fall behind because certain people didn’t have everything that they needed to so the whole class had to wait to move forward and learn. When it came to learning PTI- Dennis and Mary were amazing. I learned a lot from Mary because she always provided the why behind what we were doing. Dennis was always so kind and patient when I asked him a million questions. When it came to maneuvers, I worked with Shaun on offset and he was very patient. Craig was the best when it came to maneuvers, when you do something wrong he tells you it’s OK and we can just fix it going back. You’re over here freaking out that you’re messed up and he’s telling you it’s OK you got this he can still fix it and tells you how. Not everyone does that and that means the world. Truly when it comes to maneuvers he’s why I passed. Next, I drive with Michael- And it was a dream he told me what I did wrong but encouraged me and told me how to fix it And lastly I just want to talk about how amazing the school manager is Devon, any concerns I had I knew I could always come and talk to her. Any questions I had about my progress I can always talk to her. And I hope everyone else does too because she is truly the rock include that holds everything together

I had a great experience here at Roadmaster. Leslyn was very helpful, gave me great advice and instructions on how to get better at my skills. Daniel is great he makes learning fun and makes the day go by faster with good vibes. Craig is one of the coolest, makes you laugh and simplifies the backing maneuvers. Mary is vibrant with a youthful spirit and has great tips on precision and getting the truck in its place. Dennis is dope on the road, super chill makes you feel comfortable and is there to help. Robert is the Pre-Trip King, has all the game for you to be knowledgeable about the truck. Devon has great energy from the first roll call to the last roll call and throughout the whole day. This is an amazing school and I highly recommend them if you are considering getting your CDL and don’t know where to go. The instructors are amazing and have your success in mind when working with you. Jesse really helped me get through this training period and helped build my confidence behind the wheel. He goes out of his way to give you the best tools and tricks to help you better understand what it is these dedicated instructors are working so hard to teach. So I gotta give a big thanks to him, as he is my number one hero and he helped me get so darn good at backing that trailer up. Gotta also give a big shout out to Colleen. She was my sounding board, my go to person, and my number one fan. You need someone to hype you up, she’s the one you want. Got a difficult task and you can’t figure out what you’re doing wrong, don’t worry she will try and figure it out with you. Definitely feel blessed meeting these two instructors. Mary gave me the confidence on the road while still being calm and collected, she had many ways to explain what she was asking of me and even had a diagram to show me exactly how to successfully complete turns on the road and to know what it is I am looking for. Loved my experience here. All the instructors took the time to teach everything in a way where we could understand. Danyel, made it fun to make the day go by faster and having a way where we knew what we were looking for. Craig made it easy to know how to maneuver the truck and use tips to get the truck where you needed it to be. Mary was EXTREMLY patient and let you mess up so you know how to fix your mistakes, like she says (LEfty loosy and Righty tighty) comes a long way and always works. Robert pre trip genius! He helped so much and he put it in a fun way where we could have FUN while explaining the parts on the truck. Me Devon who is the school Manager is very dedicated on making sure all students succeed and are successful on the road. Ms. Lynn- this lady is Awesome! She took her time with us on her breaks and lunches without hesitation. She was patient and knew your weakness or strengths and incorporated her knowledge/talent to help us along. If you need help- get with Ms Lynn.👍🏽 Exceptional instructor! Instructor Mary was great as well. She gave you tips on how to maneuver your truck and was patient with all the students. Another Awesome instructor is Danyel- he makes learning fun and not stressful. He wants you to succeed and helps you along the way! Great personality and gets along with everyone! Ms. Colleen is a Pretrip instructor and she is the bomb as well. She explains each part of the truck perfectly and points out all of their functions. All the other instructors are great as well. Great school to attend if you want to get your CDL!

Was it challenging? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely! The entire training staff is phenomenal ! Every single instructor took the time to train each and every student. Robert is very patient with pre trip inspection training, Craig is very good at giving the basic skills foundation needed and Jeff is a true master of his craft. Mary is a saint. Art is cool and collected and bill definitely knows how to teach you how to drive. I felt comfortable and relaxed with all members of the staff. 10/10. If I ever need training again I'll definitely be coming back to Roadmaster! This is THE place to go for cdl training.

Mr Robert is amazing very caring and very informative even when I was having a hard time in my personal life Mr Robert was a shoulder to cry on and he didn't have to do that. Daniel is the bomb .com a wonderful instructor and will find anyway to break down the skills to where you can grasp them, so there is no worries of not picking up what he's putting down. He will also teach you how to correct your driving mistake. Ms Colleen is the coolest ice cube in the freezer nuff said, her witty sense of humor and vast knowledge is parallel to non. I was very impressed with his patience, & eagerness to listen & answer all of our questions. Devin is a phenomenal leader, inspiration, & example to follow. She taught me the importance of accountability, responsibility, honor, & commanding presence. You won’t miss her, she is everywhere all day! Lynn (aka Krishnacoff) will teach you the importance of the: 8/hr 11/hr 14/hr & 70/hr DOT rules. She will then walk the entire class outside, & maneuver a tractor trailer with ease & grace. She’s my favorite.. Not, just because she makes “hot” coffee each day, & she only drinks tea. No sir or ma’am, it’s because she outlined our curriculum from A-Z. Wisdom is the new money, & she has wisdom to give. All you have to do is show up, & remember to maintain 6 feet ↔️ “social distance people”. At Roadmaster, you will learn driver safety, respecting laws, working together, & what time the lunch lady shows up! I had such an amazing experience here! I just graduated with my CDL A today and it only took the 4 weeks as promised! Devon , the school manager was absolutely fantastic and paid very close attention to all my needs and the needs of all the students! I was originally attending classes at the Las Vegas location. However, due to the pandemic and other issues that have happened the school has shut down. When I was told I needed to continue the rest of my training out in AZ I was not to enthusiastic about the idea. But, I did what I needed to do in order to reach my goal and pursue a career and job I’ve always wanted to do. When we first got there the School Manager Devon was very helpful and extremely nice and approachable. She did her job the correct way and did a great job at it too. She cared about the students and wanted us all to succeed and pass. The instructors there were hands down top notch and trained the correct way. If it was not to the Instructors Jeff and Craig I wouldn’t know how to back those big trucks up still. They knew you would mess up and wanted you to figure out how to fix yourself correctly without them walking your threw it. Mike was a great instructor to teach you how to drive those big rigs. He has a different approach to the teaching but it’s effective. I thought the training I received here at the Phoenix location was excellent and 10x better than what I received in Las Vegas.

I learned something from every instructor at this school. They are all there because they want you to succeed. Robert is very passionate about teaching us sometimes he can be a little loud but I know he means well. Craig is about as laid back as you can get and he taught me how back up and how to fix stuff in backing. Mike is a "lazy Italian truck driver" (his words) and he can teach you left and right turns on the road like no one else can. Mary is a fantastic on the road trainer always gave me good advice and feedback for what I need to work on. And last but not least Lynn who gave wonderful knowledge in the classroom. All in all a great place to learn.

I graduated from Phoenix Roadmaster on 11/04/2020 and let me tell you..It was an amazing experience..Considering the Nation is dealing with a pandemic we've never experienced before they not only accommodated us to the best of their ability and when and if an issue did arise they listened and addressed it immediately. Now as far as the instructors go from day 1 Mrs. Lynn runs her classroom like a Boss! She's quick efficient and extremely knowledgeable that with her many years of OTR experience almost guarantees that all your questions will be answered! Now once out of the class Robert in Pre-Trip is just that he's a trip in and of himself..(in a good way)..He too has many years of OTR experience and a passion for teaching like you'll never experience anywhere else..I promise you if he's your evaluator and you make it past him during your eval you really know your stuff and will have no problem getting past the DMV Tester. During my time there I actually became quite fond of Robert not only as an instructor but as a person too because he kept it real! Now once out on the "Pad" with Jesse in Straight Line & Offset you'll get the benefit of all his years over the road as well..This maneuver to some is one of the hardest but Jesse breaks it down into simple easily applied movements thats sure to get you to where you want to be (Confident) within a few days of being with him.Not only that but he's a great guy too! Then once you move over to the South Side with Mike in Parallel Parking your in for a real surprise because this guy is full of stories and experience from his time OTR..Now this was one of my least favorite maneuvers just because I made it harder than what it needed to be and Mike broke it down into simple steps and actions that made it not so overwhelming and a little more manageable for me. Then there's Mary..I cant and wont be able to say enough about this Instructor as shes Top Notch! She at times runs two trucks and is so confident that it's almost contagious..She will walk you thru what ever issues your having and truly help you master your craft.. Then there's Colleen! Once out on the road during your driving portion of the skills you'll get the pleasure of driving with Colleen..Shes so chill and relaxed you can't help but relax and do what your there to do..DRIVE! She'll have you running your Truck like you were born to do it and if not she'll share her knowledge with you to help you refine your skills to the point you'll pass your Drive portion of the exam without any issues whatsoever.. Now that was about the instructors but there's an unsung hero in all of this..Devon the school Manager..Even thou she's not an instructor she's there making sure you get what ever it is you need to succeed in this industry from Hotel issues to Drive times Devon is there to help and will do so at the drop of a dime! So if you haven't realized by now..I came away from Phoenix Roadmaster feeling as if I were lucky to be able to not only attend there but to have the opportunity to be taught by some of not only the best instructors but people as well! Going to Phoenix Roadmaster was by far one of the best decisions ive made..

Honestly one of the greatest places I could have asked for, Carlos was super helpful, didn't try to sell me anything, he told me what was up every step of the way, I wish I could show phone logs on how on top of it he was, Devon, the school director, is one of the kindest souls you could have ever asked for(Minus Mary, She's the best), Lynn was absolute gem for the class room, she was super easy to understand and really helped you if you got stuck or was struggling to understand the material, Robert is hands down the best PTI Instructor you could ask for, he not only is super informative but he makes it a fun and enjoyable experience, Craig and Mary were amazing range Instructors, they really helped you understand the maneuvers that were required. Arturo or Art was a class A man for on the road training, He always made you feel good and confident driving those big rigs on the road and always answered questions when you had them, plus his sense of humor was to priceless and made the experience so much better. If those great people I just listed couldn't get you to 100% then bill was the man to take care of you, I honestly can say if it wasn't for him doing the final touches on my abilities, I don't know if I would have passed, that man is straight legendary. All and all if your looking for a trucking school, this is the place, i know the price of it looks scary but trust me, once you got that CDL you'll be set.

Their truck has pretty good equipment and not that old for trucking school , I always see them bring trucks to service right away everytime has a problem . They operate a lot of truck for parking skill with the 5 person max per teacher, Mary is a badass she always running 2 trucks at the same time and give us more chance to get turn to be in the truck. You going to have restricted license but I wouldn’t mind as long as I pass my test and get my cdl . School teach you how to be on time and following the rules which I love it . I enjoyed my training at Roadmaster the instructors were knowledgeable and friendly. The instructors were also very inviting and involved but seemed to be a little overwhelmed. The group sizes could sometimes be up to 8 people with some students needing more personalized instruction than others this would, at times, leave you with little time actively in the drivers seat but this seemed to be out of the control of the instructors and administrators. This was only a minor set back and did not impede my ability to learn and preform at the state standard though some may have been set back do to their lack of involvement and not paying attention while others were in the seat. I would like to personally thank Leslynn Begay and Artino Simms for there personalized instruction for myself when I was struggling in my learning process. I would also like to thank all the instructors and administrators for their ability to consistently provide great training and superior support while I reached the next step in my transition to a new career and further training thank you!

Roadmaster Drivers School was not an easy experience. But I learned everything I needed to know to get my CDL. The important thing I can say about the school is that they never give up on anyone. If attending from out of state it would be a wise idea to check availability of hotels before committing to the red roof in asbthe red roof is not located in an amazing area. Also most of the instructors aren't on the same page as to what is atcually on the DOT test (I don't fault the instructors for this) and that needs to be corrected.

The most important thing to know about roadmasters is that it is specifically designed to take someone who knows nothing about truck driving, and put them on a crash course to getting a cdl. That being said, everyone who works as an instructor there has a minimum of 5 years experience over the road, and most have 20+ years. They know what they're talking about. THEY LOVE TO HELP PEOPLE LEARN AND SUCCEED, AS LONG AS THOSE PEOPLE PUT IN THE EFFORT! You get out what you put in. Dont be that guy (or gal) who shows up with an attitude, and doesnt want to be directed or coached, or doesnt want to study at home, because if you already knew what you were doing, you wouldnt be there. The people who do that usually spend way more time than they need to in the school, or if they get their cdl, it's by the skin of their teeth. The people who listen, and work at it, and STAY POSITIVE, even if they need a different instructor for a session or two, get fixed quickly and are on to bigger and better things in a hurry. Keep a thick skin. This is trucking, not daycare. Handle your business, be professional, and dont over think it. I'm really picky about who I learn from and how, but I can say that not a single instructor is unimpressive in their teaching style and knowledge. It's a werner company, so you'll hear a lot about werner, even if you're going to a different company, but that's just the nature of the business, especially since most of the instructors are former werner drivers. All automatic trucks, so you wont be qualified to drive manual, but the whole industry is shifting to auto anyways, and they dont even make manuals anymore, so, no big deal.

I tested out of the classroom last week up until last week the experience was great, missed Saturday due to medical emergency , came back to find that the normal instructor was let go. okay no big deal, except we really didn't do anything on Sunday other than homework and do the mod tests and final exam for those going to get there permit. I passed my permit test thanks to the instructor that was let go. But my concern is with the students coming in and have no een there severval weeks and some that are finishing up this weekend or next. Other than that this school has been wonderful educationally for me. I look forward to getting out on the range and doing some practicing Is this course worth 10k dollars, hell no its not... maybe 5000 but not 10,000 do i regret going to AIT, Yes because i could have studied on my own and got my permit and then went to a school that paid you to get your cdl. also feel that the range training is subpar and all the instructors do except for 2 instructors yell and scream at the trainee's for not shifting and braking right dont damage the equipment . Maybe if you had a little more patience with the trainee's and properly trained them you wouldnt have that problem.

I went through the school in 1993 and drove for 7 years. (( up until my wife started chemo for her cancer) it's been a long fight and I gave up cdl years ago, now that all is well I stopped in at ATI to find out i can take a refresher course for very little money to retain my cdl once again. (I was very shocked they would do this but this is for all who go to ATI!!) after completion and off to my 1st company orientation I was the only one who new how to drive a truck ( both forward and backing) thanks to ATI. With the new facility I expect this experience to be even better than the 1st time and for those of you who complain about the price I can say only this Do you want a company that will get you your cdl or do want the whole package, ATI can give you this!
