My instructor was Tommy and was super friendly! I was a bit nervous driving with a stranger but when meeting him I was very happy. When driving with him I was super comfortable because he was never too harsh or rude. If you did something wrong he would simply correct you! He never shamed you of your mistake and was always happy to be there. Before taking the test he could tell I was nervous and was super good about helping me be calm! I passed my drivers test and was super pleased! I highly recommend Tommy!

I had a great experience with this driving school. Took my 5 hour certificate on zoom and a few road lessons with them. I also scheduled my road test with the school and used their car for the rest. I passed the test. Tommy is a fantastic driving instructor, he gave me excellent tips about parallel parking and stopping at stop signs. Tommy has a great technique for parallel parking, easy and effective. I was nervous about the test and the results and he was very calm and provided positive words. THANK YOU!! I recommend this school. Keep doing a great job teaching people how to drive properly and pass their test.

My instructor was Tommy and I would like to say that I was fortunate to get him as my driving instructor. He is a professional, experienced, and understanding driving instructor. I recently took the drive test and Tommy provided me the confidence and focused environment that I needed to pass the test and get my driver’s license. He helped me understand the common mistakes, rules etiquettes and was very reasonable. I really liked how he maintained his composure throughout the lesson and continued to be patient. He was able to calm my nerves and helped me stay focused so that I could focus on driving. Tommy if your seeing this I owe my driver license to you. Paul is an amazing instructor that teaches you at your own pace. Even with zero driving experience, Paul was able to get me comfortable on the highway with only 5 hours worth of driving classes (split among 5 days). He allows you to make mistakes, meanwhile gave amazing tips and tricks as to never make the same mistake again. Instructor Paul gave me the confidence to get and stay behind the wheel, and made driving enjoyable for me.

Superb Instructor Tommy has been an excellent instructor. During my first lesson, I could maneuver an automatic car (big switch from stick/gear car), did an excellent 3-point turn, and by second class mastered parallel parking. Tommy explains all the traffic rules and makes me practice each rule at least three times in each class. Whenever I make a mistake, he will ask me why I did it and then explain to me why it was wrong and help me correct my mistakes. He is encouraging and helped me in gaining confidence as a driver in three classes only. Tommy is also helping me with the do s and don'ts for the driving test to help me achieve my primary objective of taking these classes. Looking forward to conquering my fear of highways/expressways in the next two classes and then I will be ready to take my test. wish me luck!! Efficient School - both in price and service I have been looking for driving schools for quite some time. I wanted a short refresher course as I haven't driven in 6 years, never driven an automatic car, and have driven on the left side of the road. I checked the reviews of various driving schools and compared the prices. Also, the convenience offered such as their car for practice (as I don't have a car yet), pick up and, drop off at home ( as Uber would have been an extra cost), and availability of classes in quick succession. Going with the Golden crown was the best decision.

To drive in the US, I had to sit the test for a New York State license. I thought I would be OK with my UK driver's license, but those are the rules! Fortunately, my instructor was Tommy, and he's a rock star! He has a very relaxed manner, so you're immediately put at ease. He is super knowledgeable about the roads; prepares you very well for the test, and gives lots of great tips. I loved his parallel parking tip! He is excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend him!

I passed today. I thank Tommy, who did a lesson with me before the road test and took away my great testing anxiety, what I am struggling with. It was also very good to have a lesson directly before the road test and because of him, we were the first in the row, what helped me also because of my nervousness. The test was very fast, maybe because a long cue was behind us and we were the first. I don't know. But it is good to have some professionell guidance and advices before a road test. Stephen is a great instructor and is very friendly to talk with. I was a bit hesitant in registering for a driving package due to my previous experience with an instructor. However, when driving with Stephen I was comfortable because he wasn’t harsh or brutal when it came to me making mistakes. Instead, he corrects you with an explanation of where you made a mistake. Especially, since I struggled in parallel parking but, finally got it right after his explanation.(To be honest I never thought I would get parallel parking down. First learning how to drive can be very nerve-racking, but every instructor I had from Golden Crown was very knowledgable and patient. An instructor is someone who teaches something by definition. Stephen, who I took my lessons with, does more than simply "teach you how to drive" as he ensures you learn how to react. Driving is as a whole an amalgamation of split-second reactions where "when to react" and "how to react" is the difference between a good driver and someone who simply passed the test. Stephen's method of providing pointers to watch out for, assessing what you're good at vs what needs work, and catering the lessons to how you learn made all the difference. Stephen also ensures to actively converse during the lesson which ultimately trains you to make these split-second reactions instinctively. Whether you're truly unexperienced in driving or just need a refresher, I would highly recommend Stephen as your instructor. It is important to know how to pull over, parallel park, and perform a 3 point turn which can be taught by anyone but to teach how to react safely in situations that cannot be predicted i.e. help you make the right judgement is something that's hard to do but Stephen does it effortlessly. 10/10.

I highly recommend this driving school, it was very easy to get through the process. I got my license 10 years ago in Europe, but had to do it again here in the US. Some of the rules are different so I figured it would be better to take a few lessons just to make sure I don't make any mistakes during the test. My instructor was Tommy, and he was awesome. I took a lesson a week before with him, and another one right before the exam. I passed without any issues. He was also great in regards to boosting your confidence. I just had my road test today and I passed! My driving instructor was amazing. Tyrell explained everything so well. I can proudly say my parallel parking is great! I bought a package and a car to take for my road test. It’s definitely an investment but it’s completely worth it. Especially when you have instructors like Tyrell who take the time and effort to be attentive and focused on your skills as a driver.

With Julio's help I was able to pass the hardest part of the exam with in my first shot. That being the basic controls pretrip inspection and and the air brake inspection. I had a 1 hour practice with him before my test and let me tell you he was Amzing. I PASSED my test on the first try. I was sweating bullets and so nervous but he really had the magic touch. Tommy was great! I've been driving for 20 years with a foreign license and took the test to get a NY one. Tommy explained to me everything the examiner will be looking for, then I easily passed the test. When I booked the lesson & road test service, the school had promised me that I will be able to take the test with my own car (I verified this with them several times, including the day before the test) But on the day of the test I was told I will have to use the instructor's car. As it was the same model as my car I did not insist, and perhaps they would've let me use my car if I had. But in case you'd like to take the test with your own car - perhaps try to get their agreement to this in writing. Other than this small glitch everything was smooth, and the most important thing - I now have the NY license!

Just passed my road test today. Mr. Paul Stokes is a great teacher. He is a very nice guy, and I always felt safe driving with him. He really helps you get comfortable with everything you will need on the road test (parallel parking, 3-point turn, turning at an intersection, etc.) and for driving in general (driving on the highway, changing lanes - even driving using a GPS!). I had multiple lessons with Paul, and also one lesson with Mr. Craig King, who was also a very good teacher. I get anxiety when driving so the conversations help a great deal. The admin staff is also excellent. They were always available and very accommodating. I also like that they text and call to confirm appointments. With everything going on I really needed those reminders. Today was my road test and I finally passed!!!!!!!
