My experience and journey with 160 driving academy exceeded my expectations. Every new step into the training was a great experience. My dedication showed in my actions of not just learning to drive a semi truck but to learn the truck itself. I came in as a person not wanting to feel like I know everything. But to learn every new thing thrown my way. I want to thank the instructors Jenn, Lawrence, Rick, James, and Louis for not just being instructors but for teaching me the behind the scenes real life scenarios and just life within the trucking life coming in as someone knowing little about it and then willing to share their knowledge with me.
And huge appreciation to Tony for willing to sharing wisdom, patience and guidance towards the right direction. All these guys played a role in me getting my CDL License one and done.

160 Driving Academy is a great school for everyone who is determined and willing to do the 3 steps
1. Show up. you cant learn anything if you dont show up both physically and mentally especially ON TIME
2. Dedication. study hard, pay attention and ask questions when in doubt
3. Hard work. If you put in the work and show the instructors that youre willing to give your all, they will also invest their time on you
Time waits for no one regardless of your situation, there are no excuses.

My experience at 160 has been the most rewarding, I’ve been in a different industry for over 18 years and transitioned over to this. I thought I wasn’t gonna make it because of the skills, I just couldn’t do it. I have to Thank Rick at 160 who just came in new as an educator. The way he explained it to me, It was a light bulb and it finally clicked and I knocked it out the box. I think I had everyone worried. I had Frank worried but he knew I was determined and he made sure I was fully confident before I test!
I actually was PERFECT on my skills. And Top 10 on the road with only 5pts off. I want to thank every single instructor that played apart in this, It will never go unnoticed on how much I am thankful!
Frank, Jen, Jerrold, Parrish, Luis, Engel, Rick, Charlie, Tony, Laurence, Russ, James THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! U all played a part in this and I’m forever THANKFUL!

Training at 160 I believe has made me a much better vehicle operator. The knowledge and expertise that the instructors provided and their patients, desire for the students to be successful was outstanding. I leave the traing with the confidence that I can safely operate any commercial vehicle up and down . Thank you for being available. he roads and highway

This Journey has been a very up and down journey for me but my instructors gave me a lot of wisdom that kept me going. Russell I truly appreciate you for teaching me the details of it all. Thank you for working with me completely. I flew through my skills!
Jenn, Perish, Gerald, Tony, Angel, Charley, and Lawrence thank you for everything as well. Y’all are all acknowledged! Y’all did a great job with my mindset completely. Of course I have to thank myself for staying down, determined and mindful of others. Thank y’all so much for everything! Everything that you guys and gals gave to me mentally, I made sure to give to others that were coming in new. I truly enjoyed this school!
Frank thank you for the Manuals to the left and automatics to the right in the top of the morning. It was always a hilarious start of the day. BIG SWIFT DRIVER 💪🏽

My experience overall was pretty good at 160. Frank is the yard manager and I get there is a lot of students there but I think it’s kinda sad that he didn’t know my name until I was ready to test just goes to show how much you see him in the yard and helping his students. To me his only Job was to start off the day and say manuals over here and automatics over here then disappear off to who knows where. I also didn’t like how the trucks we used were pretty outdated and no matter how much the instructors say something to frank about it it didn’t seem like he did anything about it but just say use it until it dies. I would of rated this program lower because of some other issues it had but I didn’t because of all the instructors that were there. They really made it seem easy to me and I loved seeing how much it meant to them to see me get a one and done and pass with my CDL. There was not one instructor that I did not like there. I have to give a shout out to Lawrence, Jenn, Russell, parish, and Tony. Those guys and girl really helped me through the whole program and made my experience at 160 I will remember for a long time.

This is a great school unfortunately it is impossible to please everyone. To the local driver review, I dont believe that whoever you worked with were not able to straight back if that was so they wouldnt have passed the Cdl exam
