Nathaniel WoodingI am a student approximately halfway through the program at Mr. Ross' Driving School, and I feel that I have experienced enough to review it.
I think that Mr Ross' class is a victim of arbitrary rules and guidelines. A certain amount of class time dictated by the state leads to wasted class time. A sizable portion of class time is spent staring at a blank screen, or waiting for other people to finish what they were doing.
The only time you learn is in the car, but this is not a bad thing. It is very tough to learn how to drive in the classroom, and the ten hours of instructional time are many many times more valuable than the classroom. Mr. Ross is a good teacher, and some past students I have spoken with say that he can be vulgar. I have not noticed this, and I think that calling him vulgar is an overreaction.
The price of the class is fair, in comparison to other classes. Students come out of Ross' class better drivers than the competition, and he is proud of that fact.
4/5 is due to being bored as hell the whole time I was sitting in the classroom.

Dawn CrimMy son, husband, and I cannot understand the few bad reviews, but you have to question reviews like that when somebody does not give their last name or gives a pseudonym or they simply do not elaborate on their experience (too vague). We are shocked to see anything less than 5 stars. My son enrolled in Mr. Ross' Londonderry class and really enjoyed not only the class, but commented on several occasions about what a nice guy his instructor is. Mr. Ross goes above and beyond for his students. When my son went to school and would share the details of his class experience at driver's ed, his classmates would tell him that their instructors did not go to that same length - some also shared that they felt their instructors simply wanted to push them through. Not the case with Mr. Ross - he even scheduled a state trooper visit, as well as a CDL driver visit complete with an 18-wheeler (just so that the students could understand the blind spots and dangers that CDL drivers face while sharing the road with inexperienced drivers). The best part was - my son obtained his driver's license 2 days after his driver's ed class ended. He passed with flying colors because he had a great teacher. Thank you Mr. Ross!
