I could not be any happier with my choice to use LA Private Driving School. The instructor, Andrew, did an excellent job at explaining things and situations very clearly. He is always alert and demonstrated great patience. He taught me how to drive in a smooth manner and I feel more confident in my driving abilities thanks to him. He was always very punctual to our meeting times and demonstrated great skill when teaching me how to turn and change lanes. Andrew is an absolutely incredible driving instructor. He is very patient and taught me how to drive within a month, even though I have very little experience. He taught me all the basics in a systematic way. His curriculum included residential driving, unprotected left turns, right turns and the freeway. He is punctual, sets out goals in advance, and structures each lesson very well. He also knows the test route and process very well - his knowledge and pointers really helped me during my test. Andrew is very calm, kind and clear - his positive demeanour is great for any student who is nervous behind the wheel (like me!) I am obliged to say that I would not have passed my test without him - thank you Andrew!

Andrew is one of the best instructors I have had so far. He is kind, gentle, professional, understanding my weakness to help me improve. I had failed my test once and my confidence was broken. However, Andrew kindly built it back by teaching me the delicate details that other instructors from other school had overlooked. His car is so smooth to drive. He is also very calm to be with, especially for my test day. He is with me every minute of the wait, and even gave me a cheer before my test. I found Andrew's driving school through positive reviews other people had left on google and gave his lessons a try. Despite me having no previous experience he helped me get to grips with driving quickly and patiently. He has a great teaching style, very calm and really pays attention to your mistakes and suggesting ways to improve. He is a great instructor who I'd recommend to anyone looking to learn! (I passed!)

Andrew is a great driving instructor. Very thorough, friendly, and taught me the correct way of driving that previous instructors did not. It's now safe to say that my previous driving test I failed due to inadequate teaching and that's because I now have adequate teachings to compare. Andrew was consistent from start to finish, also had me watch tutorial videos in between driving which were also helpful and I also reviewed them before my driving test. And....*drum roll* I PASSED! If you are looking for a driving instructor in LA look no further…Andrew is your guy. I was a very very nervous driver, Andrew was so patient with me. If you are nervous about changing lanes or what to do at a stop sign Andrew will practice with you until you feel 100% confident with it. Even with the driving test you get about an hour or so before the actual driving test to go over what the test will cover. The rates are really good, he will pick you up and drop you off after each lesson. I highly recommend learning with him!!

I had the most amazing driving teacher in my life. I was so worried and nervous about driving in the beginning, but Andrew always encouraged me with a lot of compliments during every lessons. Andrew is hands down the best driving instructor out there! I had zero experience driving and was very afraid to drive, but passed my driving test in one go thanks to Andrew's guidance. It was very easy to contact Andrew to schedule my classes and he was always punctual to all the classes. He also provides pick-ups/drop-offs at your requested location which is a huge convenience. Driving anxiety was a big challenge to overcome but Andrew was always calm, friendly and patient and addressed every question I had. He was able to pick up times where I was confused and explained with diagrams, videos and simulations to ensure that I fully understood the situation and how to drive safely. With years of experience, Andrew structures his classes for the most efficient and effective learning and goes over what each lesson is going to cover, so it never feels like you are driving without a purpose. He always focuses on not just passing the driving test, but how to develop the correct habits to be safe on the road. Of course this being said, he ensures that you are well prepared to pass the driving test as well. I HIGHLY recommend Andrew's driving school- I truly would not have been able pass without Andrew's guidance!

Andrew was a great driving instructor. He is very detailed and lets you know when it’s safe to let go of the brake and when to press on the gas. I have had lessons at a different driving school and they were not as detailed as Andrew. He is also very patient and overall great instructor. I took my test today and I was nervous but he knows when you are ready and I passed my test!!

I had to retake my drivers license when I failed three times before. By then, I've went through about five different teachers. But I was recommended one teacher, Andrew. He works in the Koreatown area and he speaks both English and Korean well. We spent quite a lot of sessions but I was both fun and informative, where I learned how to drive on the roads and get real experience. I really enjoyed the lessons and had pleasant chats. I would recommend him if you feel uncomfortable or not confident enough.

Would highly recommend Andrew as a driving instructor. I moved to LA from the UK and although I had a British driving license, I wanted some lessons to help me get used to local rules and driving conditions. Andrew perfectly assessed my skill level, did not sell me more lessons than I needed, and I passed my test first time. Andrew is the greatest driving instructor. I am a complete beginner driver. I was always scared and nervous whenever I drove. But Andrew helped me to drive comfortable on every lesson. Until the last day of lesson, He was always calm, friendly and professional. When I did well, he spared no compliment. I've been an inexperienced driver and trying to look for schools. I have tried beverly driving school first and it was a mess! I didnt learn anything from them! Then I went to look online and came upon LA Private driving school. Andrew was an amazing instructor and was very patient. He worked with my schedule and try to squeeze in my times. I am glad I came across LA Private Driving School as I was searching for private driving lessons. I PASSED THE DRIVING EXAM IN ONE TAKE! HERE’S HOW: I knew I picked the right person the first time I spoke with Andrew on the phone. He took his time to get to know you and your level of knowledge and experience in driving. I never felt pressured by him. He is chill and very patient but would not hesitate to point out your mistakes and correct it and let you practice over and over until you get it. I have a lot of undue hesitation and I am easily intimidated on the road when everything seems so overwhelming, looking at front, right, left, back, signs, lanes, etc. For first time drivers this can be too much to take in. Andrew’s teaching helped me get rid of that fear. I can’t believe I entered the freeway and survived! Lol. Also, he would make you watch youtube videos specially focusing on areas that are difficult for you so you have some reference point to go back to when you’re home. I just realized that Andrew trusted me and had confidence in me that it I started to actually trust myself in the process. If you are a first time driver, being proactive like reading a lot of pointers from DMV, and having an instructor like Andrew will give you an incredibly high chance of passing the driving test in one take even if you don’t get the opportunity to practice driving on your own (like me, where the only practice I had was with Andrew which was 8 sessions, that’s 17 hours total) Gamsahabnida Andrew!

i specifically asked at the beginning of the lesson for practice in parking. he said he wanted to see how i drive first, and he gave good advice and lesson during that time but i drove for 50 minutes. then a 15 minute break and then we finally practiced parking. but only 5 times in similar spots and didn’t try parallel parking even once. then i drove home. he’s a good teacher who has a lot of great advice and wisdom to share but i knew what i wanted help with and he barely helped at all with that.

I didn't even know how to drive a car, but thanks to teacher Andrew, I was able to turn the car off. Every minute and every second was so precious. I was able to talk with the teacher while driving, so I was relieved and I was very happy during the class hahaha I hope those who are inexperienced in driving, like me, take driving lessons from Andrew! I'll practice more so I'll make sure to pass the practical test!! As a new driver with little to no experience I had a wonderful experience learning from Andrew. With Andrew's help I've learned how to become comfortable and lot more experienced driving responsibly and correctly. His teaching on correct positioning of hands on sterring wheel and not turning hand over hand while steering was a great help. He also taught me 2 way stopping, 4 way stopping, unprotected lane changing, and turning correctly. The experience with Andrew was great and relaxing. He made it an experience the was stressless and peaceful. I really recommend Andrew as an instructor for anyone who is learning. *100 percent rating*. He is a great instructor with knowledge and helpful instructions. He will make your experience fun, peaceful, and stress free. I can't say enough great things about the experience with Andrew.
