I was TERRIFIED to learn to drive. My father was teaching me to drive until he passed away. After this, I did not put forth any effort to learn to drive. The idea of driving was one of the most anxiety inducing feelings ever for me. As terrified as I was, I decided to try and purchased a package at Monroy Driving School. I took all of my lessons with Mr. OB! He gave me the exact same comfort I had when my father was teaching me and did not let me give up on myself!! Mr. OB is a great instructor who is honest and will make sure you do the work it takes to learn to drive. The entire staff were all kind and helpful. If I could give 10 stars, I would! I will be referring my family and friends here.

Just passed my driving test. I was an ABYSMAL driver but I did 5 hours of in car instruction with Ms. Annette and she was very patient but firm when necessary. Could not recommend enough. Truly the only reason I feel okay to be behind the wheel of a car at all! Will definitely come back for more and recommend to everyone I know!!!

I did the adult drivers ed course with 10 hours of driving and I passed my test with a 95 today! I did all my lessons with Krystal and she was so kind, understanding, and patient with me. I'm a highly anxious person so having someone I felt comfortable with was really important to me and she helped build my confidence up as a driver. 100% recommend Krystal :)

Omggg! I literally just passed my road test with flying colors yesterday! Going to and taking a chance with Monroy Driving School was probably the best decision I ever made! They are super patient, the staff is super sweet and helpful. I would like to think Cristal, Ms. Annette and most of all Mr. OB for being so kind, patient, stern but understanding with me. Mr. OB is pretty awesome he will make you laugh, feel comfortable but also will be stern about the rules of the road, literally if you LISTEN and follow his instructions you will have no issues passing and being confident while doing so thank you so much Mr. OB, Ms. Annette and Cristal thank you for your transparency and constructive criticism im forever grateful! I got driving lessons in the summer on 2021 here and the instructors were very helpful with my car anxiety, I took extra classes because I was a beginner but they help with any levels I also had wanted to learn free way for my job in free way. The instructors were great some of my favorites were crystal and Annette I had 5 different instructors I don’t remember all of their names but all of them were well and provided much helpful tips all the time. I also took my driving exam and it was only 15 minutes and i passed it on the first time

I started classes because I moved from a small country to the US. I had never driven on Freeways or switched lanes prior. The roads back home were too small for it. Mr. Cornelius was really kind and nice about everything. I never felt intimidated or scared while driving, compared to former instructors I had. If I had to learn to drive all over again, I’d take classes with him. He shared some rules of thumbs I will probably use for the rest of my life.

I’ve been practicing with Monroy Driving School for a while and after having an overall good experience with all instructors I finally passed my test. I rarely encountered any issues with the instructors—as long as you’re willing to learn and are receptive to all types of feedback you should be on track to passing. I recommend trying to stick with an instructor who is also an examiner because having that familiarity with them gives you some sense of reassurance on the test, if you’re testing with this school. Every instructor kind of has their own teaching style; I had Annette twice (then thrice for the exam) and her method was pointing out your mistakes as you go, which is great for correcting on the spot, similar to Cornelius. They don’t sugarcoat! Cristal and Miss Mary use more positive reinforcement but all methods were effective nonetheless. Thank you Monroy Driving School and thanks for trying to be patient with me Annette!

The process to schedule my road test was amazing I was referred to them on how courtesy and nice they were. When walking in the office, Tony was very helpful and professional it wasn’t a wait time I got to the point to do my road test. I recommend this school to anyone looking to get driving lessons and do their road test. I got different road instructors each time and it was a great experience, each one of them taught me something new. Crystal taught me the fundamentals and basics of driving. We practiced maintaining spacing and driving around the neighborhood. OB/ Obi (I didn't know how to spell his name) he was very patient and took the time to show me how to parallel park, where my blind spots are, and helped me progress from driving around a neighborhood to driving on the main roads. On my last class day Annet helped me progress from main roads to driving on the highway, something I wasn't initially comfortable getting on but with her help and guidance felt better at. I truly recommend all of these instructors to all and any who want to learn how to drive in a safe and positive learning environment. The instructors are very knowledgeable and patient, they want to help you understand and learn as much as possible. Thank you to all the instructors for teaching me! Just passed my road test!

Everyone here is VERY friendly, nice and professional. They are very patient. My daughter did her driving with this school about 2 weeks ago and her instructor (I forgot her name, she was the one with the blonde hair) was very pleasant, patient and explained everything which she understood. hi! i was a student at the driving school and i really liked it- they helped me learn a lot , were really patient and even helped me with an issue with a lady at the DMV. The lady at the DMV got confused about something with my paperwork and so we called the school (monroy) and this lady Cathy helped my mom and I answer the questions that we had and recommended that we go back and clear up the situation. thanks to her i was able to go back and now i finally have my license :) - anyways long story short the school is great and they have a great staff

It was a night and day difference here vs DPS. I had the choice to wait for a DPS driving test or test here and I chose here because it was MUCH sooner to take the test. I took the test with Tony, explained how I did and what to do better on in the future, and I was gone within an hour. I did some paperwork wrong and I got help filling that out instead of going to the DPS, waiting several hours in line for them to tell me I did it wrong and kick me out of line. In summary, quick place to get your driving test done with no stress. All their information is on their website and I called 5 or 6 times with different questions or uncertainties before booking a day. Thanks y'all for helping me accomplish such a big goal!

Would have given 5 stars but I can't as I waited for an hour for my road test. The staff was helpful but cmon I was given an appointment for 4 and the guy shows up at 5. Other than that they do let you parallel park before the test so that you can be comfortable on the test. I cleared the test with 100 points. My suggestion is make sure you practice parallel park if you are going for a road test as that's the first thing on the agenda for the test.

I called Kathy on Friday to schedule a test for Saturday using the school car, my card sent me a fraud alert so it declined, when I called back Kathy had already filled the spot, there wasn't any appointments available with the school car, I was very discouraged, but Kathy asked the examiner if they could do an after hours test, they agreed, i took my test at 4 pm saturday. Mrs. Mary the Examiner was excellent she explained thoroughly everything, she made me feel very comfortable, I passed my test the Saturday I took it, after I passed she still gave me little driving pointers. Monday's here, and the DPS sent me all the way back to the school due to a number not being on the outside of the envelope (it ended up being inside the envelope). Since I don't have a car I uber, when I told Mary I was ubering she had one of her coworkers take me back to DPS. This school and it's employees are phenomenal bring your young adults you won't regret it

Stupid of me... I failed to take a driving test twice because of insurance document and car issues. I really needed a license asap, so I took a road test at this location. You could walk-in, short wait, very nice workers, and easy test. You take test results to DPS and here's your license! I'd recommend this school to anyone who want to take a driving test. It cost me $75, but it's worth it.
