One of the best schools the instructors are really patient they helped me when ever I had a problem they showed me over and over and over agin till I got it. They don’t pass you unless you know what your doing and they feel confident that you’ll pass. The office will help you find a job and there all are really welcoming and helpful they treat you like if your family thank you all for helping me get my CDL keep on TRUCKING.

Excellent and amazing people here! In the office, Tammy and Peggy are incredibly sweet and welcoming. The EXTREMELY knowledgeable instructors will do everything they can for you to teach you everything you need to know so that you can earn your CDL. They all very much enjoy doing what they do. They have have a great sense of humor that really goes a long way to diminish the stress level that accompanies the learning process of operating a 35,000 lb vehicle. Trust in them. If you put in the effort and take what they have to offer, you will earn your CDL. John, Jared (spelling check), Larry, Lou, thank you so very much for everything. I truly enjoyed learning from all of you. You helped open up a whole new world for me and my family.

The staff at USTDS is awesome! I know without a doubt, that they truly want to see you succeed. The front office will help you navigate your way to enrollment, training, and ultimately making sure that you get your CDL. The instructors are amazingly knowledgeable and patient. The training is hands-on, and fun.

I would say this is a good school if you're a fast learner. You will get out on the road the first day on the range. They do tell you it's an accelerated course.
There is one good trainer in the lot. He was very patient and helped with any questions. He helped break things down and gave students the extra practice for things they needed help with.
With that being said there is alot of room for improvement:
They did not have enough trainers to give the added support for drivers who need it. You will see alot of drivers come back for an extra two weeks of behind the wheel training.
There are very inattentive trainers for example there was an instance where students were being unsafe and there's wasn't a trainer around to see it happen or prevent it.
There were some very impatient instructors. I watch while a trainer took someone on the road and spent the whole time shaking their head and getting frustrated with a new driver who had only been in the road once.
The biggest issue is when speaking with the office about my concerns they were not willing to improve the program or provide any helpful solutions. Even though previous students had the same issues.

Great instructors! Thank you Jarrod, Shawn, Seth, PapaLou, Harley, James and Mr.Coleman. I learned something valuable from each of you. Thank you Tammy, Peggy and Kay for all your help and guidance and especially for the popsicles. I’m confident that I was taught the skills I need to become a safe and professional truck driver. It was a fun and great experience and everyone at USTDS works hard to help every student achieve their goals ✨❤️

First day in class we were told: "this is an accelerated program. Crawl, walk, run." Those words rang loud, true and clear! The school is an active learning environment, definitely requires assertiveness on the part of the student. Be prepared to jump in first day!
Every Instructor has their strengths and weaknesses; every student has different learning styles - it's good the school has the variety!
Going home to study the 5 page pre-trip: words of a page works only if the picture in the mind matches. It may not be a (useful) tool for every student but it would have been helpful (to me) to have pictures alongside the name of the part. (May get a mechanics book to build familiarization anyway).
Truck Driving has definitive hazards, thus the additional Federal regulations for the license endorsement. The instructors were safety conscious and wanted us to succeed. Really appreciated the instructors that were verbal and systematically methodical in their approach (Sean, Larry)! Road training was as thorough as possible. Most instructors were specific in what to look out for and had a very calm manner that helped establish confidence. They also were clear and direct. Instructors that allow mistakes without constructive criticism do a disservice to the student(s). There's not time for a student to discover mistakes and self-adjust - the curriculum is too short for that!
Overall the school hit every mark; as a student that graduated, the advice to future student(s) would be - "Get a job as soon as you're enrolled! The reason: you have a purpose in needing to finish on a deadline. The school is aware of company reputations so ask. Have and keep the mindset to learn, it is okay to not know everything, trust the process! Be confident. See you out on the road."

This is my personnel opinion on this school and how I felt about the instructors, facility and program itself. I decided to take this course for my Class A CDL upon my exit from the military, as it opened many doors to careers for myself and family. To say anything sub par about my overall experience would be a complete disgrace, I have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect about it. Upon requesting to attend I was contacted by telephone and e-mail from one of the school coordinators (Shelly), where she walked me through the process from start to finish and what paperwork and information I would need each step of the way. The week prior to attending, she reached out to ensure that I had everything I needed and was not in need of help getting said required documents. Showing up to the facility I was sadly mistaken by skepticism and what the outside of the facility looked like, though it is an aged building the inside was extremely clean and organized. I was greeted by Shelly and directed to our classroom where we were introduced to the multiple instructors to include Nick, big mike, Dave, James, Daniel, the infamous BANJO (Damon) and Josh the head instructing supervisor. Josh was extremely relaxed and eager to get all students in trucks and into curriculum as fastest yet safest way possible. These instructors are extremely laid back and understanding, they are all very eager to watch you learn and grow, banjo is a one of a kind individual, he has such a enthusiastic personality and though he takes his job very seriously, he is very accepting of mistakes and figuring out how to make the corrections in order to move on to the next steps in success. You will learn very quickly that it’s 7th over 2nd! The overall knowledge of these instructors is above superior, they all have years out on the road and show a huge interest in teaching and assisting in the students receiving their CDL. My process has been extremely smooth and everything was broken down in a way that made it easier for myself to understand. The trucks they have are not the greatest of trucks but they do take care of them to the best of their abilities, they are all operable and easily driven, so as long as you listen to the instructors and their instructions. I give this company a 5 star review based off the clarity in how things would go as far as paperwork, hands on driving and the simplicity of block of instructions, the dedication these employees put into the progress of their students, and the overall performance and smoothness of how my experience went. I would 100 percent trust these employees and company to ensure the safety and success of anyone wishing to receive a CDL.
To be clear I attended The Colorado Springs location from April 24th to May 8th 2022.

Went through the course in November, failed my test 3 times. Had a lot of help from the instructors. Vehicles were in good condition. Everyone taking the course is kind and respectful. Would recommend this to anyone looking to get a CDL.

GREAT School! I originally went to a crappy school in Watkins then decided to switch schools and I'm so glad I did. US TDS really cares about their students. They give hands on instruction and really know what they're doing. if you're undecided, this is THE PLACE!! You will be SO glad you came here.

Great experience. The he instructors are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They really care for the students and for an accelerated course the instructors teach you a lot. John, Jared, Everett, Lou all had different styles of teach but were amazing people. Only downfall is the mechanics. They were never around and there was a lot of trucks that needed quick fixes. Other than that I definitely recommend this place.
Timothy Haile
Great school, The instructors work really hard, do a great job, and mechanic 's as well .Raises should go there way on a regular basis because they are awesome. Thanks. Trucks could use a paint scheme like the US flag on Facebook with the flag looks like it's draped over .instead of those 80 s stripes. This was a great experience for me and a life changing one .Thanks again .

This is a great school, the instructors have many years of experience, tons of knowledge and truly care about teaching you what you need to know to get your CDL. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the instructors are not all on the same page when it comes to certain details, like the pre-trip inspection. Also, sometimes you get stuck in 1 truck with an instructor and 3 students and it takes 1-2 hours in between taking turns to drive. Or, in the yard there are 9-10 students and only 2 trucks which means it takes 15 minutes before you get to practice a maneuver. Those issues are not a deal breaker by any means, but when I pay good money to go there I wanted to get as much driving time and reps in the yard as I could. I heard they just got new ownership and they have a new person in charge, and they are gonna address some of those issues and I'm sure they will get it all right. On the other hand its pretty cool that companies will come in and recruit you straight from school and you can have a job the monday after you pass your final test. Go there and you'll get your CDL Class A in 3 weeks. I'm happy I did!

Great school to attend! Definitely recommend this school to everyone that wishes to learn to drive a truck-trailer or a bus. All the Instructors are highly knowledgeable. Instructors are patient, most of them have over 25 years of driving experience. Instructors will provide you the proper driving discipline and they will provide the proper driving; parking knowledge that students need. The principal of the school will provide the best training on pre-trip. I would like to thank the entire USTDS for providing me the education.
Nicholas Mugoya
A very good truck driving school to attend. Good, outstanding, knowledgeable and caring instructors and staff (John, Jared, Sean, James)** (Josh-Admin). I would and will highly recommend United States Truck Driving School, Inc. to a friend or family as of 9/17/2021

USTSD is the best truck Driving school. I really recommend students who try to find truck driving school . The most amazing thing I have seen in this school they push you pre trip the track and trailer everyday. Sometimes you do it more than 3 times in one day that is really great thing to learn as student. I was in 3 weeks program it was hard for me but they make me to achieve the impossible possible. I passed in my first attempt so anyone out there looking school it time to join them then they will make you proud by doing the impossible possible. The others thing I want to mention for new student who try to attend the 3 weeks program I personally advised them prepare get familiar with specially when doing manual driving that way it won’t stress you . Because it is accelerate program you may have sometimes short time to get through in couple of weeks and to get smoother with other student that was the difficulty time for me other than the teacher the office worker special I would like thank Jeered and Josh they are amazing staff members. Come and Learn at United state Truck Driving school you will be proud when you graduate. Truck safe.

I went through this school and just graduated on Friday last (12/4/2020). They have a lot of instructors with a very wide variety of experiences that they try to pass on to you. They work with you to get you where you need to be over the course of the few weeks that you are there. I would highly recommend anyone looking to get their CDL A or B licenses to give them a try.
Office staff was professional and friendly at every interaction we had!
Lew the lead instructor goes out of his way to accommodate students when life happens and family situations comes up.

I give 5 stars to the United States Truck Driving School. I attended the school located in Midway, Colorado. The instructors are top notch very informative. With well over 100 years experience between all of the instructors, you are in very good hands. Every question I asked was answered in a professional manner. Also, everything that was on the tests was gone over thoroughly in the class room and the practical application portion or the course. I would recommend United States Truck Driving School to everyone or anyone looking to get into the truck driving profession. Extremely happy with my experience at U.S.T.D.S

Having input from several experienced instructors was very beneficial. All were patient and had pleasant personalities. I've attended many training sessions where the instructors were rude and made everyone aware that they were miserable in their job. USTDS picked a great crew to share a wealth of experience, knowledge and tips for the new driver. I had a little trouble with the double clutching but not once did an instructor make me feel that I wouldn't eventually get it. They were very supportive and expressed a confidence in me that I didn't really feel in myself. Thank You!

If you're looking for great opportunities and even better instructors you're in the right place heading for USTDS. I started this school in hopes of finding a career and vast job opportunities. Throughout the three weeks of attending their extensive program I've recieved every skill, tool and trick to excel in the world of trucking.
From road experience to backing, These men and women are here for you. Heck, they definently were for me without a doubt.
Trust the program; believe in yourself and importantly... be willing. Everyone in the front office was very helpful. Tammy got me started up with the program. Peggy helped tremendously getting everything rolling (the gentleman in the front with the gauges was really helpful as well). All the instructors (James, RC, John, Everett, Richard, Lou, Jared and Dave) are decorated individuals with immense skill. They deserve to represent such a great company as the company is lucky to have them. Harold is very reasonable and respectful. He ended up offering every good solution to any issue i had with positive progression. Thank you all for your support and memories that will be kept for a lifetime. I will be back for a refresher course! Graduated on the 21st and started on the 4th. Could not have done it better with any other company.

This was an amazing experience. All the trainers are 20 - 50 year experienced drivers .The recruiters are compassionate and considerate . If you have a professional attitude and sincere desire to change your life attend their training program .They will help you in ALL aspects of attaining a truck driving career.

Really a great school and they have great instructors as well. Because I listened and paid attention and kept my cool i was able to learn what I needed to in order to pass my Class A Cdl examination the first time with flying colors. Thank you to Casey, Brett, Rich, Bill and Lou for your time your knowledge and your patience. I can't wait to bring my own truck by someday!

For the most part USTDS is a fantastic place to learn how to drive CDL class A or B vehicles. The staff is great from your first point of contact with a recruiter to attending the optional but free CDL permit prep class. All of the instructors were former truckers at some point in their careers. So the knowledge comes from first hand experience. The instructors are all encouraging and willing to help you as long as you can take criticism from time to time. You have to understand that when you get behind the wheel of even an unloaded Class A combination vehicle that it weighs 30-35 thousand pounds. You have to be safer than you’ve ever been before while driving. So if you start doing something dangerous the instructors have every right to snap at you. Be b safe, pay attention. Now for my minor complaints regarding the school, hence why it is 4 stars instead of 5, startingthe equipment and the facility. Obviously as a student learning to drive you are not going to be behind the wheel of a brand new $200k tractor; that would be foolish. You are getting a beater that still runs well for the most part but is ready for abuse that new students will inflict on it. There are however some things on the tractors that could be fixed a few had air leaks on the brake system that cause you to have to wait to recharge your tanks. Which is frustrating trying to run thru the backing circuits. There were a few other problems with the tractors that were minor inconveniences that I understand really aren’t worth fixing seeing as how the “yard” trucks never go on the road. The other thing I didn’t like was the yard itself, it’s horribly potholed and really needs to be leveled out since it’s just hard packed dirt. It’s not too much fun bouncing around the cab because the tractors have so much suspension all around. Not to mention shifting because you can’t keep your feet still. Again minor complaint. Secondly the actual buildings on site are very dated. The place was built 60-70 years ago or longer and it shows. I’m not staying you need top of the line technology and comfort for the students but something relatively new would’ve been nice.
The last complaint I have which is the one it really believe needs to be addressed is class size. I was fortunate to be in a class of only 7, but they have classes starting every week and the one that followed me had nearly double that. When you have that many people the students lose out on valuable driving time. As when you do your road driving you will be paired with 1-2 other students and an instructor. For the road portion this isn’t that bad. You get about an hour and half behind the wheel before switching around and you can watch what the other are doing before switching back. On the yard portion this became a problem. My class had 7 but we had a few students come to practice with us on backing because they had failed their exam the first time. Fine, I want everyone to succeed. However when during your 10-hour class shift(if doing the full time course) you spend 9 of those hours waiting for another turn it becomes frustrating. I had talked to one of those students who had failed the initial test and came back and they had 14 students in their class. They got one turn each day of backing class. As you will learn if you attend that’s not really enough to instill confidence. I understand that demand for people wanting their CDL has exploded thanks to a lot of people losing their other jobs to the pandemic(I am one of those), but it doesn’t do the students any favors like that. Thankfully the instruction will make up for any deficiencies in training time. Just pay attention and ask questions. The training is short, sweet and to the point but my class and the one before mine had a 100% first time pass rate. Which tells you that the quality of education is there if you will really apply yourself. But remember just because those numbers are high doesn’t mean everyone can drive a truck. Come in with an open mind and a willingness to learn and the team at USTDS will help you succeed.

Would be 4.5 out of 5 stars if I could leave half a star. Please read.
I really enjoyed my experience as a CDL student at the U.S.T.D.S. As many of the reviews state, there are instructors there that really care about you and that truly want you to be successful! Some special shouts out to: Ron, James, Leroy, Brett, and Casey. Some real characters in this bunch but incredibly knowledgeable! Even when I got flustered and frustrated, these guys always remained patient and positive. Listen to these guys as they really do know what they are talking about and they really do care. The extra time they spent with the students in our class, even after hours, was so generous. Thank you James for the extra time on the road, thank you Leroy for the constant support, even when I was completely flustered and thank you Brett and Casey, the true backing class masters! Wow!
Also, a special thanks to Tammy A.!!! She is actually the main reason why I chose this school over others in the first place. She took a genuine interest in me, was always positive and has been incredibly helpful in this journey. She will go the extra mile for you and that means a lot when you are totally new to all of this. I am also very glad that I got to know Harold T., the education director. He was a very positive influence and incredibly supportive and helpful.
I would also highly recommend that you get to know your fellow classmates. We had a crazy bunch in our group, but we had some real fun! Your classmates are a great support network while you are in class and when you graduate from class. Most of us have kept in touch and this had been incredibly helpful for me when it comes to resources in this brand new career path. I also feel like I made some good friends.
The only reason I did not give this school the full five stars is the condition of the yard and some of the trucks. In short, the yard really needs some love. It's a bit rough. Some of the trucks are a little old and worn out as well. I would totally agree with others that have said "if you can drive their trucks, you can drive anything?" You just kind of have to embrace some of the mechanically challenged vehicles they have? :-) In an odd way, you actually kind of grow to like them. Me and my classmates had nicknames for some of them.
All-in-all, I would definitely recommend this CDL school. Most of the instructors really do care about your success! Tammy A. is awesome! And Harold T. is incredibly supportive! Lean on your classmates for support and really learn from the instructors!
Thanks again to all those U.S.T.D.S. staff mentioned above and to my classmates! I really learned a lot from each of you and I am glad I attended U.S.T.D.S.!
Sincerely,
Hudson

I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a class A CDL. All of the staff were very pleasant to work with. The lessons are all taught thoroughly and with multiple instructors, so you get plenty of time to work on each aspect of the class and with a few different ways of looking at each thing being taught. The school also does a really good job of keeping a good relationship with many different companies so that you can have a really good chance to find a potential employer that will meet your needs.
Starting with the first staff you meet when you walk in to sign up, all of the people in the office were friendly right off the bat, and remained friendly throughout my time at the school. All of them were nice and thorough when they explained things to me, and all of them were clearly interested in making sure I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. They told me everything I needed to know about the class itself as well as the new lifestyle I was signing up for.
I had equally positive experiences with the instructors. You start with possibly the most chilled out man I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. Once you're out of the classroom, you get to work with a fairly diverse group of instructors each with their own way of teaching. If one guy didn't click with you, there were plenty of others there happy to help you out. Of course this means they disagree with each other's teaching methods sometimes, but they always remain respectful of each other and seem to get along well regardless. All of them were patient with me even when I would get upset as I tend to do when I'm not grasping things as fast as I think I should. All of them have been training students for quite a while now, and none of my boneheaded shenanigans surprised any of them or threw them off even a little.
The course itself worked really well for me as well. You get to spend plenty of time on each concept both in the classroom and behind the wheel. There are usually at least a couple of trucks out in the yard, so when you're learning backing maneuvers you don't have to waste too much time waiting around. The same is true for on the road driving. Even when you're waiting for your turn, all of the instructors strongly encourage you to pay attention to what the other students are doing and hopefully learn from their mistakes as well as your own.
If you don't quite know where you're going to get a job once graduate, the school can give you great resources to help you choose. Everywhere you go, you can find brochures and business cards of at least a dozen different companies, all of whom seem to be highly recommended by the staff there. Recruiters often visit the campus to advertise their companies, and the instructors are happy to let you take a break from class to go listen to the companies you are interested in applying to. One instructor even quit his job for a while to go work for a company he knew nothing about, just so that when he returned he could give his students detailed answers to any questions they might have about what it's like to work for said company.
Tl;Dr The staff is good, you get many different perspectives on how to do things from many different instructors, and if you need help finding a company to work for, you will have no problem finding it here. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who wants their Class A.

Graduated from USTDS I’m October 5th (was a night class student) and I want to thank Carlos, RC, and Everette for everything they taught me! I also had Bill and James for a short time and both were amazing instructors as well. If you attend and get any of these guys as your teachers, consider yourself lucky!!
I’d also like to thank Tammy for helping me with the admissions. She genuinely cares about you!
Thank you USTDS, I got my Class A because of you and I can finally get my career started!
Frank Graffeo
So far so good for day 1.
....Update.....
Graduated here with a CDL-A. Good teachers and good staff here. Trucks are ancient and had to fix one myself that had a massive hole in the radiator hose by salvaging a hose from another. Trailers are all junk but overall a good school and great staff here. I would recommend this place

Had a really good experience at USTDS. It’s not easy to drive these trucks, but their instructors will teach you if you’re willing to listen and learn. This isn’t for everyone, and they don’t just give out licenses. Most of their trucks ride pretty rough, but if you can drive them you can drive anything. Lifetime job placement assistance and an open door policy with Harold (the owner) makes this one of the better places to learn to drive.

Great School to learn how to drive a big truck. Great instructors, they are very knowledgeable through and through. Thanks to Leroy D. for his attentive and patient teaching. In my opinion Leroy needs to teach all instructors how to instruct students. Thanks to Casey and Brett for teaching me how to back a big truck. Thank You all. Gary Stevenson

Great school with great instruction. All the instructors are dedicated to your success. They are very patient and will work with you as long as it takes until you feel comfortable to move forward. I couldn't be happier with my decision to attend USTDS. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to get a CDL.
Daniel Guknes
Great experience, The instructors i had were great, and very knowledgeable.
They were always encouraging even to the students who wanted to give up, the instructors would try hard with out being pushy. There policy is awesome, the only way you don't walk out without your new license is if you quit, because they won't quit on you.
Daniel Garcia
If i could give this place more star's i would!!
Trainer's are helpful, and knowledgeable, they show you everthing you need to know over and over until it' comes natural to you. James is one hell of a trainer nd one hell of a guy!!!
CLASS
Great school with great instructor's. If I had to do it all over again I would attend school here. My own personal advice do what you can to get Day classes and not night classes this upcoming season. It was hard to see at night in the yard. USTDS is the best school to attend and I did my research on other schools before choosing. They also have multiple financial programs to get you in school.

Best school hands down in Colorado!!! All-star staff (Mrs. Peggy is so sweet 🥰) and they have realistic trainers with different backgrounds and experiences. Mr. Jared, Mr. Errics, Mr. John, Mr. Evertt, Mr. Craig, Mr. Larry R. And Mr. Larry V. thank you guys for everything 😎 💪🏽(sorry if misspelled last names). …

Graduated from this school last week with my class A. It isn’t easy learning to drive these trucks but the instructors have a lot to teach if you want to learn. Some of these guys have 2mil + miles under their belts! The course is accelerated but is structured to maximize your potential to pass the cdl test. They get to know each student in order to give them the tools they need to succeed in a truck on the road!

I felt very welcomed to attend U.S.T.D.S. and to learn new skills of driving a semi tractor trailer. The teaching staff has a variety of backgrounds to assist students with learning and are dedicated to help students be successful. The office and administrative staff are also helpful in answering questions and are friendly and supportive in my new career of truck driving.

Never drove a manual or a semi, day one in class they had me on the road. I was terrified, but by the end of my first week, I'm more confident and committed to getting my class A CDL license than ever.

I requested information online about this school and about 7 minutes later M.W. from the school was calling me to set up a time for me to come in to see them.
I had no experience around large vehicles or driving a stick shift, but that didn’t matter. All of the instructors helped me and made sure the transition was smooth. The recruiters, instructors, and executive assistants all asked repeatedly how I was doing and what they could do extra to help me. When I approached the school with issues I had in my training, they were corrected within the hour, not the next day.
My advice for you:
1. Don’t stress out over the unknowns of the future. This school will give you the training you need and help you every step of the way in your career placement. I met many students here and any time you asked them where they were going they never once said, “I don’t know.” They all had jobs lined up for them upon graduation. I filled out an application to a company a week before I even started the school. Companies want you right now.
2. Listen and ask questions. You’re not here to teach, you’re here to learn. When you are in a truck you can learn just as much observing another student as you can behind the wheel. You will get plenty of drive time doing 65 mph down the highway (not quite so fast in the city)!
3. Pay close attention to the advice instructors give you at all times. They have between 3 to 6 million accident-free miles on the road EACH. They know what it takes to succeed!
4. You will make friends; make sure they are on the right track. If they are from out of town living in a hotel, invite them over for dinner or take them to a hockey game. Class can be stressful at times so make sure everyone is happy by helping them where you can. You are never alone.
Classes start every Monday. You will succeed.

I loved my time there. The instructors are always help full and understanding. At first it seems a lot to take in and you feel overwhelmed, but the staff makes sure you have it down. You have multiple instructors so if you don't feel comfortable doing it one way they will show you another way. I had trouble getting the offsets backing down but I was getting all the rest. James in backing worked with me for hours trying to get it. With me fustrated and upset he set me a side and told me WE will figure it out. Mark, another instructor, came out and helped me also. By the time they were done I was getting it down and was able to correct myself with no help.
These instructor are great, they are patient and very helpful. If you don't get it or upset they will listen and work with you, until you do get it. My favorite part is the instructors would get just as excited as you do when you get it.
I really loved being there. Thank you USTDS Fountain CO

After COVID destroyed my small business I needed a career shift. I researched extensively & chose USTDS. Graduated Oct. and started w/ Knight 2 weeks later. Not only did I feel prepared, but after a month on a trainers truck, and now solo for the past 3, I know I received the best CDL training possible. My job trainer was shocked & pleased w/ the amount of training I’d received here, and my company has now started recruiting here for new drivers as result. Thank you USTDS for the best possible start to my new career!

Josh was amazing, he helped every step of the way , Harold was also great and very awesome on thetrafficking class, Norm is very in depth in his training in the classroom . Every instructor I dealt with was very instructive and patient , Ray , Ty , Dave, Bill and Ron. Great job guys , I may have forgotten some, steve, and Stephanie also great, and the other weekday backing coach , all just excellent and great. Thank you all, best instruction and help I've ever had in a high stress new learning environment. Def recommend this school. Office ladies are great too. Everyone is very friendly and on task. A++++. Thank you so much John.

School is what you put into it. The instructors are experts in their field and I feel blessed to have learned something from each one of them. I admire the courage it takes for them to get into the enormous tractor/trailers and teach us to drive a vehicle that is so vastly different than an everyday car/truck.
The entire staff is respectful, patient, and experienced at what they do. The information and advice they have to offer is priceless and will be embedded in my brain for the rest of my life.
I checked out 2 other schools and I feel I made the absolute best choice. I bow my hat to this school.
Everything taught to me is appreciated and without it, I would not have had the confidence to move forward in my new adventure. So, thank you
Nelson St
Aye aye so you guys need to know this, this school is B+ very good teacher make sure you guys hit up Sean or Chris or James to really get practice in they will make sure you know the ropes to get your license, the property do need some work done and the truck are kind of run down due to the amount of students they get on a daily base overall this school got me my CDL and I really appreciate everyone there
Jullissa V. A
Just want to thank all from office staff to instructors and all I am forever thankful with all for BELEIVING in me for pushing me to beleive in myself you guys are number #1 in my ❤ I recommend any one who wants to get their CDL to go to you US TRUCKING!!!!!
Roger Greenlaw Jr
United States Truck Driving School will provide you with the support you need to successfully earn your CDL. Do your part as a student, and they will assuredly do their part as a staff. To them, your success matters!
Edrisa Sanyang
Very good school and the program still prepares you for the trucking industry. More one to one instructor time will be great tho
Chelsea Pearson
The training is pretty decent and the instructors are very informative. But, I think there should be one additional week of training for the day course. Don't come to this school thinking it's going to be a breeze, they make sure you know everything, and I mean everything, before passing. Hank the instructor is awesome. However, do NOT pop that clutch. Haha! Thanks USTDS. -Travis
Stephen Stack
Very big lot to drive around and get used to trucks before entering public roads. They start you from the bottom and work you up into traffic. 3 weeks doesnt seem like a long time, but the way they teach after 3 weeks you are more than ready to start driving. Also the instructors there are great, very knowledgeable and great people.
Adam Morton
I learned more about backing and parking properly in 1 day at this school then another location over a 2 week period. The school administrator is excellent and works with you to ensure you understand driving. Wish I had trained at this school to begin with. Nice backing / practice field and conveniently located near Denver.
Lavoyd Anderson
Great experience! Hands down there was tons of behind the wheel time. The instructors had a vast knowledge which helped out a lot when it came to taking the drive test. Thanks USTDS for the opportunity of a part of a great school.
Joshua Reid
The school was a great experience and I learned alot front the instructors. They gave me multiples opportunities to jobs and sources to get my CDL career started after I graduated. The school has alot to offer for anyone wanting to go to school for Commercial driving, I highly would advise anyone to attend.
Zach Waldorf
Amazing instructors and office staff. Driving trucks definitely has many challenges, but the instructors are patient, helpful, and do literally whatever they can do to help you learn and relax behind the wheel.
Miguel Astorga Galindo
All the teachers really put there all into helping you understand and master how to manage the truck they make you feel comfortable just listen and learn they also make sure that when you graduate you have a job waiting for you . All the instructors have a great sense of humor they make your experience memorable not just another experience. I highly recommend this School to anybody who's looking into getting their CDL
Raymond Lovett
In my humble opinion, the United States Truck Driving School is the best truck driving school in the nation. The staff, instructors and the whole facility is top shelf! I wanted to be a truck driver and now thanks to USTDS I am a CDL licensed OTR truck driver! And I start working for Butler Transport in Kansas City on Wednesday, Sept 25, 2019!!! 👍
Norbert Andruskó
USTDS is awesome.
I just passed CDL exam today. Everybody was kind and helpful especially John and Harold. If you need a CDL I strongly recommend this company. The course worth it every penny because I enjoyed every minutes.
Thanks USTDS.
Don Keller
I really enjoyed my training at USTDS. The experience of the instructors was impressive. Their years of driving as a career was helpful demonstrating the importance of safety, knowledge and skill coming together preparing me for what lies ahead. I truly appreciated the candid, honest accessment of the challenges that new candidates to the field will face on a daily basis.
I found all of the instructors great to work with. The personality of each was different but their knowledge, skill and commitment to quality training was greatly appreciated by my self.
I would like to thank the following instructors for the help along the way. Norm Wigham, Louis Lemon and Larry Vassos. I salute you gentleman! Your knowledge, experience, and your humor will always place you in a special place for those I have had the privilege of receiving a spoonful of what they know, have done and seen.
Respectfully,
Don Keller

I Passed and of course this is only my opinion: Nice enough people and nothing personal...but I question their failure rate given the number of recycled students from previous classes. In reality, there is little practice time on tough maneuvers when dividing driving time between 3 students per truck and ACTUAL drive time allotted per individual. The method of instruction is archaic and rigid, while the facility and trucks are pretty old and neglected. They don't appear vested in your success, just pushing you through the class with self-imposed rules that appear to hinder, rather than help. Given a choice, I would choose a school that provides useful, informative instruction, better equipment, realistic driving time and is vested in your success.
mike Stettenbenz
LOVE this school! I had a great time there and made a friend for life. Only took 3 weeks and I walked out with my CDL and a job. The instructors knew their stuff and I felt confident leaving the school. I still go back and attend the job fairs just to see everyone and see what's out there.
Ricardo Christensen
I graduated from USTDS in April of 2018 and Hired on with a Major trucking company. After a year of driving I had the opportunity to take a promotion and I'm now the Driver Development manager at our Denver terminal. Thanks to all the instructor's, you passed on valuable information that I still use to this very day. Also thanks USTDS for all the well prepared drivers that you send my way.
Jeff Legg
I drove cross country in the early 90's with a class A license. I recently decided to obtain my CDL license to pursue a career change back into trucking. I had contacted US Truck Driving School and AIT Truck School through their websites. US Truck contacted me immediately so I went with them. A good choice for sure. I paid for a 10 hour refresher coarse since I had previous experience. After a couple of Saturdays of training with these guys I passed my CDL Test. What is most impressive about these guys is that they taught me things I never used as a driver before. A great bunch of guys down there. Thanks Keith, Norm, Bob and Lou for everything.
Michael Patrick
I had a great experience at the United States Truck Driving School. All the staff and instructors were great! They did a great job! Now with the bad... you train in a yard that is full of holes and bumps and your driving very old and VERY beat up trucks!! Then you test in a newer truck and on a nice concrete platform. Kind of set of for failure there! And when you bring it up to anyone that works there and I did! It’s like they have a script because they all tell you the same thing “if you can do it in these dinosaurs think how easy it will be in a new truck!” C’mon!!! There’s a pile of asphalt that has been sitting there (for a decade I’ve been told!!!) that could be used to level the yard out and they have all the equipment to do it. Ok my rant n raveing is over! Other then that I think this is a good school. I took what I could from all of it good or bad and made it work! I still give them a 5 star! There’s a lot of great jobs that pay great so pull the trigger and do it!

“Attending the Academy was life changing for me, I learned things I never thought I would in a calm comprehensive atmosphere. One instructor in particular (Billy Pace) just had a way of making me feel that I could accomplish what I set out to do. I would recommend The Academy to anyone who is looking to Start or enhance their career” Thanks United States Truck Driving School and Thanks Billy, Frank, Steve and Norm!
Jennifer Roush
Worth It. If you want a career in truck driving, go to USTDS. Not only is it widely respected by hundreds of truck driving companies, the format, while intense, actually prepares you for driving truck (not just passing a driving test). You will learn so much more than how to pass the test, and it's all worth it.
Oleg Dobrovolskiy
Got my CDL Class A through this school. I'm glad I chose this school. Other schools were not trying to work with my schedule, and some schools only had automatic trucks. I absolutely have no complaints about this school, Bill and Harold you guys were wonderful instructors, thank you so much!!!
Yasin Mohamed
USTDS in Wheat Ridge, CO is a top-notch truck driving school. I have had a great experience going through the course. The instructors are highly skilled and knowledgeable. I highly recommend USTDS to anyone interested in obtaining a CDL License from a reputable school.
D Hudson
Instructors could listen more when you are having trouble. Instead of telling you how great a driver they are. Better equipment would definitely help. Need chains for yard trucks hard to learn while sliding on ice. Overall good instruction could have more drive time!
David Stanton
The staff at USTDS was what made my experience worth it. They were extremely patient and always willing to spend the extra time to make sure I understood the subject matter. Thanks USTDS for everything.
Mark Carroll
The school was a great experience and all the instructors were great. I felt tht at anytime I cld have talked with any instructor for extra help. The only knock against the school is most of their equipment (trucks) are old and in need of work.
Barbara Frustaci
I absolutely loved it!!!! Very dedicated and knowledgeable instructors. I Absolutely recommend going to this school and receiving top professional training that will prepare you in pursuing your career as a Truck Driver.

For starters, going to this school was probably the best decision I could've made, at first I thought I would be a little scary learning about driving big trucks, or 18 wheelers, but then once I began to understand how to operate and drive these 18 wheelers, being in school here didn't feel so scary anymore therefore being taught what to do was baby steps the instructors take their time with every student and go over each assignment throughout each day as a refresher corse allday long. You get hands on experience and knowledge you can keep with you as well. To me I felt that I learned so much from pre-tripping, to shifting 9 an 10 gear tractors, and parallel, ally docking and straight lines to offsets. Not to mention that after your three week course, U feel like you earn something that you and no one else can take from you cause you own it. Special thanks to all my instructors, and most important special thanks to Emily for all the work she does to keep her school number one in Colorado. Again thank you all for helping me find my way through hard work and determination. U.S.T.DS your the best school this side of the Rocky Mountains.
Michael Leblanc
I am very glad that I chose USTDS. The instructors were great and everyone went the extra distance to make sure we were able to graduate amidst the COVID-19 quarantine. Thanks to everyone at the school for making my time there productive and informative.

Before I attended this school I had never driven a semi before so definitely a super green newbie. The course started with Reid in the classroom, a very experienced trucker who shared his knowledge, a no-bs attitude, and taught us everything we needed to know to pass the test, and all of us did with high scores. Next up was James, the superstar of ustds, I really lucked out working with this guy. Calm demeanor, professional but fun sense of humor, he ended up being the one teaching us backing. He's got that skill down to a science. Very encouraging, quick to analyze what went wrong and always has a way to fix it. I only got to work with Mark once but he's the one who made shifting click in my head. Mark has a lot of experience, also a calm demeanor, and when you have a question, find him and ask, he always has an answer. If I could pick any teammate to have on the road, it would be him. My first test, my nerves got me and it was a fail. My final practice day I got to work with Johnnie, another rockstar of backing. Nerves aside, I passed the second time. These four men are the best. I watched the others and it is not lost on me that I lucked out getting the instructors I got, there was no sitting down on the course, being ignored for a cell phone, no missing an exit because of being pilled up and not paying attention, no having the instructor show up, decide not to work and just going home leaving the students to fend for themselves... Yes these things did happen to other students. I suggest corporate take a close look at those individuals as if I had been stuck with those, I'd have pitched a fit in the office every day until i no longer had to waste my time with them. Students are paying to learn, find people who will teach them. It also would not be a bad idea to get all the backing instructors on the same page. Use James and Johnnie's tried and true methods and stick to them, so as not to confuse students so they can pass their tests. Which bear in mind, this school's purpose, to teach you to pass the test. Being an experienced driver/backer/everything else will come with time and practice. So to wrap up this novel, James, Johnnie, Mark, and Reid should be given raises, it's the right thing to do. I'll be forever grateful to them for the skills they gave me to pursue my new career. Much love guys!! See you on the flip side!!!🙂
Rodney Jones
The staff at U.S.T.D.S. were very knowledgeable and helpful. I thought their training methods were laid out in a way that helped me retain the information I was learning. They are also more than happy to help you with placement after graduation, I would highly recommend starting your truck driving career with U.S.T.D.S.
Donna Rogers
The instructors were very helpful, knowledgeable and patient in helping me to achieve my goals. They made it fun. I know I can take my training and have a great career and be able to make the money I need to chase my dreams.
randall hoehle
Great school, teaches you the basics in just 3 weeks. Plenty of on road driving experience in weeks two and three teaches you the laws in week one. By the end of it all you have your CDL A and a school that will always help you find a job.
Kraig Cash
When I started this school, I didn't even know how to start one of those big trucks. Now I know how to drive one and have the confidence that I can get a job driving them. This school gave me an opportunity to get an education that will lead me to not just a job, but a career.
John Bodor
My name is John Bodor. My experience here was great. All the instructors and staff were very polite. I learned everything you could ever possibly learn at a truck driving school. Thank you so much for all that I learned and the laughs.
Robert Rowan
Went to the prep class today Saturday for the written CDL test with the DMV. Nicole was the instructor and she cares about her students and her knowledge is amazing 👏 …
Kevin Howell (gavetgp)
The staff is great, but the trucks training material and school property need a major update. The school building is falling apart, or is being ravaged by nature. The training material is easily made back in the late 80's or early 90's. And the trucks except for three are 92's and 94's. Would recommend people to go there if the items listed can be updated.
Andy Archer
Fun learning environment and decades of experience among instructors, testers and management. You can't go wrong starting a new career at USTDS.
Trav Mac
Amazing opportunity, definitely challenging all the way to the end & worth every bit of it!
Best instruction staff that the trucking industry has to offer, they will show you and teach the safest way to operate and be successful....Thanks U.S.T.D.S.
Michael Vise
I was worried about being able to learn all that I had to in 3 short weeks, but the friendly and professional staff got the job done all the while making my classmates and I feel welcome, and letting us know that they truly cared about each one of our success. Im glad that I got the chance to attend United States Truck Driving School.
Terrie Baros
New director and staff are less knowledgeable and proactive than prior team. The instructor Gary is excellent and provides readiness assessment.

It's been 15 months that I graduated from USTDS and I've learned so much from this place. Not only are they friendly but they will answer any questions you may have. There is Lou,Papa ,Bill and the rest of the gang after I added all the years of truck driving experience these guys had under their belt I came out with over 100 years of experience of course it is up to me to put it to use. Even then sometimes I would have a doubt or a question guess what they would help me with what I needed. For that I give them 5 Stars for always being there for me 20 years will go by and the will still be there for me . Thank you all at USTDS and staff too. G.B.Y
Jule Scheidecker
Instructors were awesome. They could use one more probably. I seen one instructor doing many different tasks. She handled it well though.

Nick Sickinger
This school was great, I was originally a little skeptical that I would be able to learn everything in 3 weeks but the instructors are really good at figuring out where you struggle and helping you improve in those areas.
