High Cheekbonz

160 Driving Academy is a great school who have great instructors. Bull is over the yard and he goes above and beyond to make sure you are successful in getting your CDL License. Another instructor is Price, he will make sure you are doing your logs right. Ronnie Williams is very helpful in making sure you are successful as well. If you do less talking and more listening you will be successful. What surprised me the most was Bull knew all of his students names. I'm forever grateful for 160 Driving Academy and all of the other instructors who helped me achieved my goals.

I just got my cdl through 160 academy...This is the right place to go if you want to start a career in trucking.Great instructors to teach you all you need to know. When u get on the yard, either by your self or with a team, practice your incab and outside pre trip inspection over and over....Just do your part with having the ability to learn and pay attention and the instructors will do their part...it isn't a daycare...they will not babysit you...either you want it or you dont.

With this being a new company to Columbia, SC I must say the tuition is very affordable compared to most trucking driving schools. The training started off a little slow but that is expected with anything new. Over time things started to flow. The instructors are truly amazing. They will teach you want you need and more but the key is to open your mouth they are not mind readers. If you don’t know, and want to know ask it will take you a long way. I came in never drove a manual and with time and patience and wanting to learn I got the job done. I really appreciate the time they took with me to make sure I was comfortable with all the skill maneuvers. Thank you 160!

I just got my license today. Its a great program. Miss Lillian is an absolute sweetheart. If you need anything at all she will have your back from the time you walk into her office till you get your cdl. And after you get it she's always a phone call away if you need anything. All my instructors are very knowledgeable at there craft and are great people. They will teach you everything you need to know and give you a good laugh every now and then. 10 out of 10

Just recently I received my CDL license through 160 Driving Academy of Columbia, Sc. I had a great little experience going through this new school. I was uncertain about this school at first but I went along with my intuition on this one and I can say it was one of the BEST DECISIONS I’ve made! I’ve met some phenomenal instructors and I got to meet some cool new classmates in the process of obtaining my Class A license. The instructors will have you well prepared to get your CDL license in my opinion as long as you listen to their instructions , and you’re able to retain the information and gems given. They’ll put you in the position for success but it’s up to you to make it happen on your own. Just do what they tell you and you’ll be well prepared when it come test day. Big S/O to Floyd Dillard a.k.a “BUTTER” you’re the GOAT man!!! Peace and blessings to the whole 160 Driving Academy Staff. I wish you guys ALL the BEST! I previously just got my cdl from this school. It was a really plesent and good environment to learn and train to get your cdl. Ms Lilly in the office is a wonderful and helpful person to make sure everything you need gets handled. The instructors on the yard and really laid back and easy to get along with and help you throughout your training as much as humanly possible. Thank you 160 for providing me the opportunity to be able to learn what i need to become a safe a efficient driver.

CDL Certified and Proud, Hello, my name is Eric D. I am writing to express my indebted gratitude for the way that I was taken care of from day one in pursuit of my CDL. Beginning with Ms. Lilly and onto the staff educational instructors at the Columbia campus were simply great and professional. These instructors gave me the tools from their expertise instructional driving experience of many years on the road along with their class room acumen. When I had doubt in myself and ability to excel, they kept encouraging me, they did not give up on me, and guess what, well, here I am, I am now apart of an elite club called Truckers of America. I have a commercial driver's license (HeHeHe). Again, and again, and gain, thank you, thank you, and thank you for positioning me for success. And I must admit, the instructors on the yard worked with me until I got the concept and proper driving techniques to pass CDL Test. I worked at the airport for 5 years. So I travel thru air to state to state. But I did work outside with the rain, cold, heat an heavy lifting. I got a couple of friends that are truckers an told me I can make more money with less work an still travel. So me an another friend decided to do it together as team. Spoke with Ms. Perez an she informed that there different opportunities of company’s that hiring. An I can decide what company I want to work for. It took 1 week after talking to Mr. Perez to start class an a month later got my C.D.L. License. Thank you sooooo much 160 Academy and Ms. Perez, Mr. Salley, Mr. Bull....WHAT WE DOING!!! WE TRUCKING!!!

Awesomeness experience to help with obtaining your CDL. It takes consistency and the eagerness to make your weakness your strengths. There are 4 major segments you have to capitalize in. Become proficient in all to become the best. You can recite the in cab and pre trip steps to your classmates and the more it’s done I can guarantee your level of locating those parts will be easier. Don’t get scared to go FIRST when it’s time to perform the skills section. I used to be like that and eventually got out of that vibe to be the 1st one up because that confidence level was up. Once you retain information on your reference points the less there will be a poor performance. From training to a career‼️
