The guys and gals at Midcity were the best. They made me feel like they cared about more than just pushing me through the class. They did things no other provider would have done. Like helping me get my birth certificate from another country. Also when I was sick with Covid they always encouraged me to keep going. Any other provider would have found a way to disqualify me, but they showed compassion and understanding at each and every one of my obstacles. I just want to say thanks to Phil, Angie, Chris,Juan, Lupe, Adam, Angel and everybody at Midcity. They really teach you and not just talk at you. Look no further! These guys are at a whole different level as compared to the other schools within the area. It begins with the staff from the front office to the guys in the yard who does the hands on training. I couldn’t have been much happier with the decision to get on board with them. They guided me throughout the whole process and were patient with my schedule and accommodated me with such professionalism. For all of those who are considering to join the academy, with the Covid-19 concerns do not worry they have remote learning. It makes learning a whole lot smoother from the comfort of your work schedule. Juan who is your instructor is an amazing person. He strives to take out the best of his students each and everyday. He makes learning exciting and teaches us based on his 20+ years as a professional trucker.

I attended Mid City for 2 months while working and this school is very good. They'll work with you if you're working. They're reasonable, and flexible as far as operating around your schedule. Great teachers and instructors at the yard. I highly recommend this school.

Great people here no doubt! Office staffs are very helpful and friendly. Yard/Pre-Trip instructors are with good experiences and very patient. Best of all, their scheduling are very flexible and will work with students based on our time and availability. For skill test, they only teach left parallel parking, left offset parking and straight backing. I wish they also teach 90 degree backing, because it is important to have this skill in the real world. Most students get assigned two hours of driving time on scheduled date. I think many driving schools arrange only two hours per student per day so they can get more students in. It could end up taking longer (5-8 weeks+) to complete the program. I later learned there are companys out there that pay for your driving school can get students trained up in 2.5 weeks and ready for the test on the 3rd week. Of course, it maybe more stressful on that kind of tide schedule. The equipments in the yard all have some ages. Students have to learn Pre-Trip/Driving from a variety of different trucks/tralers. One thing can be sure is that once the students graduated from here, they can master what they will be handling day to day in the future with ease. Recruiters from different companies joined the class for presentation from time to time. The school doesn't have contracted company "guarantee (if hireable)" to hire you after graduation. Students have to research and apply jobs on their own just like any other job in the open market. Staffs were given helpful input on job hunting if you do seek their advice. Another thing that's super fun to do over the yard is rocking the truck by going thru the pot holes by the corner of the entrance. Be sure to give it a try if they are still there. ;)

One word, Amazing. It took me a month and a half to get my CDL. Great staff, great instructors., you won't need to go anywhere else to get your CDL (except to the secretary of state of course). They prepare you for all your exams and assist you with any questions or concerns you might have. It was worth every penny. Bottom line, if you're looking at any other schools, I highly recommend you don't and just go to Mid City Truck Driving Academy.

Very good school, i went to "mega" all i did there was lose 1800 dollars and 3 months and was only able to memorize 2 pages out of 12 needed to pass pre-trip test with class instructor to be able drive truck. Mid city is a quality school well worth the price, i got my cdl class a in 3 months :). My experience w/ MIDCITY was very challenging had a few bumps in the road but the staff @MIDCITY helped get thru and it was 4 the better and hope that my journey @MIDCITY will make me the best driver i can be. Hey, it's a very good school. I get my cdl in 1 month and 2-3 weeks. The best thanks in these Truck Driving School is for : Hubert(Pre-Trip), Peter(ROAD,PARKING), Artur(ROAD,PARKING), Mauricio(Manager of Yard). They are the professionals of their work i think. Gaby on the receipt it's fine, but sometimes he start to talk with you like a bad girl, it's not so bad i think, but somebody cannot like this, for me personal does not matter so much. Always big thanks to Philip and Chriss- they will care about you all the time that you will be in this school. I'm a 25 year old student who completed in 4 weeks. Better to get your permit asap, so you don't waste time studying for it on school time when you could be already on the yard driving and studying for your pre-trip. Had to borrow 2g from friends since i was broke right before. Don't skip your skill and yard hours and you won't have to pay extra. People who complain should understand that this is a business and people continually sign up and yard hours get filled up with new people. The school can't just keep assigning free yard hours to people who fail constantly and expect to be given driving time when those hours could be given to new students who actually study and perform. Repeat pre-trip every day while you're on the yard schedule and by the end you'll remember everything at the snap of fingers. Don't stress yourselves out before and during test, just relax and you'll pass everything first shot like I did. But don't blame the school. It's sad to see many people never grow up and expect everything handed to them on a silver platter by their parents. Vladimir Lenin said "Study, study and keep studying"...

Studying on Pre Trip is only online but they chew and answer all questions. There are 5 trucks on the yard, those that go to the city are quite decent, probably from 2015, those that are completely finished for the yard (skills), but maybe this is for the better: more experience, understanding, immersion in the profession. At the yard, Igor, a Russian-speaking instructor, is a very correct, reserved teacher. (Original) Хорошие ребята, правда! В офисе говорят по польский и английски но с моим начальным получалось решать все вопросы. Учёба на Pre Trip только online но разжевывают и отвечают на все вопросы. На ярде 5 траков, те что ездить в город вполне приличные, года 2015 наверно, те что для ярда ( skills) совсем добитые, но возможно это и к лучшему: больше опыт, понимание, погружение в профессию. На ярде русскоговорящий инструктор Игорь, ооочень правильный, сдержанный преподаватель.
