Miss Lori was the best instructor I could ask for! She worked with me in scheduling my lessons and gave me tips on the best way to get through my lessons! She kept the atmosphere in car light which really calmed my nerves. She also shows that she’s confident in your driving and only uses the brake and grabs the wheel if she absolutely needs to. For my highway lesson we had a truck cut us off and not allow us to merge to which she instructed me to speed up and she maneuvered the wheel. We were able to merge on safely and I’m thankful for her instructions. If she makes a mistake she will let you know and apologize instead of brushing it off or blaming you. On the day of my exam I was extremely nervous however she prayed with me before my exam and reassured me that I knew what I was doing and to just relax. At the end of my exam I scored a 98 because I didn’t slow down on my turns which she told me to correct 🤣. I am so grateful that I had her as my instructor and I wouldn’t exchange her for anyone else. Thank you Miss Lori ❤️

Ms. Amy Harrill was very welcoming, informative and available to my daughter during the whole course. Several times my daughter needed to ask a question and Ms. Amy was always willing and happy to answer any and all of her questions. Ms. Amy made this new experience very comfortable for my daughter and I, can't thank her enough. Will definitely be returning with my other children when it's their turns to take the course.

For Joshua’s Law Class, Amy Harrill was very nice, respectful, & caring about her students. She took her time to teach and explain everything, going step by step. When a student had a question she would give you the answer without hesitation. I would say I enjoyed her as being my teacher & recommend her as well.

My first experience with this school was when I saw them picking up a student at Woodland High School. I flagged the instructor down before he got into the car. He gave me his card so I could call the office. The office told me for my dollars my son would get the classroom time required by the state and they would pick my son up at my house for his driving time. After I paid for the class and 10 hours of driving time the information conveniently changed. They couldn’t come to my home because I lived to far out and Woodland High School was no longer within their accepted area. Also scheduling driving time was now done on line but the time slots filled quickly. By the way, they don’t do refunds.

I find Amy Harrill an amazing person overall. I can tell she wants us to learn as much as possible so we can to be safe drivers. I have been homeschooled for a very long time because I can’t stay still in class and I get very distracted. She made it to where I am interested in learning. She laughs at our jokes and has fun with us. She feels like a friend more then a teacher and she is committed to her teaching. A lot of teachers struggle with communication with teenagers but not her. Amazing overall I love her!!

I really enjoyed having Ms. Amy Harrill as an instructor. I liked how she put some personal experiences and tips as she taught the unit. She made the 30 hours enjoyable and the hours went by quicker. Very easy to sign up and access the class. I took the online course with Mr. B. We had 7 people in the class, Mr B made sure the class was interactive and not boring. He made the 6 hour course fly by. I will chose them again in the future!

The actual class can be taken via WebEx (I did mine on Sunday for convenience). My instructor was Mr. B and he was very personable and made the experience better than I anticipated. (Who is excited about taking a defensive driving course, am I right?) I highly recommend West Metro!

West Metro Driving school is a judgement free place and clean facility with kind, knowledgeable staff. Mr. B ran the defensive driving course in a way that promotes student engagement, and has a very high pass rate. Mr. B facilitates the classroom time in a way that is efficiently paced.

She found the light out of some of these very sad stories. She was nothing near monotone, and was loud enough that from being virtual you could clearly hear her. If you have an option for your instructor pick Mrs Lorri!

Great way to learn the rules of the road! My instructor, Ed Hunker, was incredible. He explained everything in an understandable way and shared relatable connections that made the rules easy to comprehend. He is kind, charismatic, and always eager to help. I hope that I meet him again during my driving sessions, as he is easily the best instructor on the staff. Taking this class ignited a passion for driving and motor vehicles that I didn’t know I had, and I believe everyone should take it at some point in their driving career.

Great school, great instructor (Hank McDill) I am very pleased with West Metro Driving. The admin side is well organized; and even though they are busy, I consistently receive prompt replies to emails and calls. They also have a lot of driving lessons available and have been helpful with scheduling. My daughter has been taking lessons with Mr. McDill and he is AWESOME. He really teaches how to drive, as opposed to merely fulfilling the requirement for behind the wheel hours. He provides valuable feedback with the online report cards. He's also very, very punctual and has a great sense of humor and calm demeanor. 100% recommend.

My reasoning for having to attend this class is private, but Mr. B, put a great deal of things back into perspective especially the importance of paying attention to your surroundings. This is a course that needs to be taken by everyone especially the youth.

Mrs. Lorri was an amazing instructor. She made this class tolerable. But this school’s advertising needs to be better. My mom signed me up for this believing they would offer the drivers test at the end and I would learn defensive driving, but got only a beginner’s instruction. That was very infuriating because I’ve been driving for almost two years now and needed the license, not the basics.

Very good place to learn the basics of driving, it can be boring at times but that’s to be expected with any class-based form of learning. Once you pass the two required tests you then get actual behind the wheel experience with an instructor with a schedule you make so it’s sure to fit your schedule.

I had a wonderful experience in their drivers ed course. It helped me complete the full 30 hours needed, with in-depth explanations of the rules, cautions, and more with personal experiences that my teacher, Amy Harrill, shared with us. If you’re worried about whether this place is good if you have attention issues (and if you don’t know which is the gas and brake pedals) I’ll say this as an adhd teenager: it is amazing. There’s frequent breaks, multiple explanations so that it is easier to catch on and understand, and videos and PowerPoints and more to help. The course not only explains rules, but also shows the risks, many ways to keep safe in different weather/ risky situations, and tells you/ shows (in videos) how to fix things like a flat tire or to jump start an engine, and how to ensure you’re buying a good car. I recommend this course (and my teacher, Amy Harrill)to any teenager needing to take drivers ed (they also have the Joshua’s law and ADAP tests at the end). It is easy to understand, navigate and sign up for :)

Online class with Mrs. Amy Harril was great, she tried to make the class as fun as possible, tried to make sure we all understood and answered all questions of both groups, in-person and online. Driving lessons were fantastic, all of the instructors I had were great, all were fun to talk to and they really try their best to help you be a better driver. She was very friendly and nice the entire 4 days of the sessions. Signing my daughter up for driving lessons was the best decision! Of course parents are always nervous when our kids start driving but with the driving school/lessons I was more comfortable with her driving and so was she. There’s so much information that we as parents sometimes forget to cover so with the school covering all that they do was definitely helpful. All of the instructors were nice and very helpful and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend this for all new drivers.

I highly recommend West Metro Driving School!! David Reid was my son’s driving instructor and I can honestly say he is amazing. My son started at absolute ground zero with no time behind the wheel previously, except in a parking lot with me, to a confident driver who just passed his driving test in just a few lessons. Mr. Reid is patient and thorough. Plus, the scores and feedback for each session on multiple driving aspects are honest and really helped with his practice in between lessons. Tina at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, too. I couldn’t be happier! Great system and great people - thank you for everything!

West metro is unlike any other business I’ve seen. The people here are so accepting, especially Jacki Wilson. She really is an amazing instructor who has the perfect balance of being caring as well as being professional. She’s also honest with informing us how driving is in the real world, and will give us examples from her own life about what to do if your car won’t start etc. The only thing negative thing I’d say about this place that it needs is maybe a little interior paint job (because it’s just white) or perhaps a vending machine. But those details are so minor that this establishment still deserves 5 stars.

First behind the wheel session with Mr. Neil Massey and it was a very nice driving experience! It made me less and less nervous driving on a busy road. BIG SHOUT OUT TO MS. VICKY!! I was a student at West Metro and I've never had any driving experience prior to enrollment. When it was finally time for the behind the wheel lessons, Ms. Vicky had the daunting responsibility of being my driving instructor. God bless that woman's courage for letting me take the wheel even though I didn't even know my gas from my brake petal. Throughout my lessons, she was very calm and direct. She praised my accomplishments no matter how tiny. On the flip side, she told me what I did wrong and how I can improve in a light hearted and respectful way. We had some great laughs along the way. I truly felt safe driving with her and most importantly confident. So confident that I even drove home my first day! Can u believe that? I've come a LONG way all thx to her. Again, BIG THANKS TO MS. It was fine, just a little different than I am use too. We used Marietta with my other two kids and seemed like the hole experience just moved a little smoother. Kids got to have the same driver for all 3 lesson and I didn't have to hunt done things to get her account set up or to get the certificate to get drivers license.

Great driving school! I’m staying in the area for the summer from New York, and the two hour sessions here gave me lots of time to get used to driving and work on my skills. The instructors are very respectful and gave clear instructions. I was impressed by how highway and interstate driving was included for the cost, my last driving school charges extra for this. Also, I liked how there’s a report card system which really helped me understand what I needed to improve on. I’m feeling very confident for a road test now and will be looking forward to it, I highly recommend West Metro!

My daughter was a late starter in learning to drive. I decided to get some help from a professional as I thought it would be good to have someone to help with basics and fundamentals. Mr.Reid was instrumental in helping my daughter build her confidence and she is becoming a safe driver! Update: 12/21/21 I have just started back driver's lessons with West Metro after practicing myself for some months. I am now trying to get my license early within the new year and I want to shout out to Mr. Reid for helping me to get to that point. He has given me lots of tips and tricks that I find really help me when driving! He taught me things that will really help me on the driver's test as well. Today I have re-learned how to do parallel and perpendicular parking and how to do u turns. The notes that he gave me on these techniques will really help me on the test and in the future as well. Overall this session taught me so many things that I will need to know moving foward. Thank you to Mr. Reid for all of the important information and help! Update: 12/29/21 Today I had my second behind the wheel session with Mr. Reid and we worked on mainly parking, lane changing, and interstate driving. He was really informative when I did the interstate driving which gave me comfort. His tips that he had for parking and driving in general made me feel more confident then the last session. I feel like I have improved a lot from Mr. Reid and I would recommend him!

Mr Reid just brought my son back from his first driving lesson. My son felt very comfortable with him and loved it. In fact, I will be purchasing two extra drive sessions provided they’ll book it with Mr Reid. Driving in the Atlanta area is very scary. I feel much better knowing he has a professional (not my crazy hit the breaks mom self) teaching him.
