All of the driving instructors are wonderful and are very helpful with any issues or questions you may have. If informed, they are very good at working around your own personal schedule and are very flexible. Overall great people and they’re all great drivers.

This class was very helpful and I learned quite a bit from it. Mrs. Shannon, Mrs. Ruth, and Mr. Ceasar were all great teachers and were very good about offering advice. The only trouble I had with the class is that the Remind app only works on mobile devices and I had to have my parents email everything to me which caused confusion because they would forget. However, that's not really the driving schools fault and overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it to another person needing to learn the basics of driving.

The class was very helpful in getting me a lot better at the fundamentals of driving, and helped especially in knowing how to drive significantly more safely in winter conditions. The instructors were also very helpful when I asked questions and were gracious in helping me reschedule drives when I had conflicts.

Mrs. Ruth was very excellent at answering all of my questions that I messaged her about and I learned a lot from the zooms. It was also nice that we were able to have 15 min breaks in the zooms. I became a lot more confident in parallel parking and I feel completely ready for my driver's test! My drives were canceled many times or rescheduled last minute which was sometimes frustrating because then I would have to find a ride home last minute, but other than that, I would encourage you to take this cours.

Everyone was nice and I really enjoyed the drives as they gave me feedback the really helped me with my driving skill when I already thought I was good enough. The class had also help me understand traffic laws since I didn't really understand most of them at first the classes were useful and helped me understand them better

As a student I really recommend this, I learned a lot through this school, it was a lot of what my parents say, but when you are just driving with your parents you don’t retain much info given to you, so to hear the feed back from qualified teachers helps kids actually retain and listen to what is said

The school offers flexible hours and fair rules, zoom classes are recorded for July which offers flexible hours for recreation. The staff are friendly and open minded for tougher students, they will do their best to teach a student about road laws and general safety tips.

I was surprised by how much I didn’t know when I first came into the class. I didn’t even know how to correctly take a left turn or go onto the highway at speed. It definitely improved my driving (and forced my parents to take me out driving) and I gained so much confidence.

This was a great experience learning from someone who wasn’t my parents. Mrs. Ruth and Mr. Garcia are very calm and collected when you are driving and will not yell at you if you mess up. I highly recommend this for new drivers in Alaska just to get some semblance of how to drive in the Alaskan conditions.

The employees are kind and genuinely want students to be prepared to drive safe. Originally being from California I wanted tips to drive in the snow. The instructors were pleasant to drive with and gave me great useful tips to avoid accidents. They gave me more confidence in my driving here. I figure if the cost of a lesson would help me from an accident, this is well worth the expense and my safety.

I was afraid to take driving school because I was worried I would not do well being that I was driving with a person that I did not even know, but my instructors were very nice and taught me some important road safety skills that I had not learned from my parents, that now make me a safer and better driver. I was also worried that because of covid it would make it harder to learn but that was not a problem. My only complaint is, one of the vehicles I drove in the seat would not adjust any more because I maxed out how far away you could sit from the steering wheel.... I guess that’s just part of being tall. But, I would definitely recommend this driving school, And I’m very happy I came to this driving school.

My favorite part of this driving school is that there isn’t any homework. Everything is learned in class which helped me focus on learning more. I also learned how to parallel park in less than 2 minutes very easily through this school! Would recommend.

They allow you plenary of time behind the wheel with either Miss Ruth or Mr Ceasar and teach you how to merge, go on highways, back ways, do emergency stops, back up safely and properly, how to adjust your car to be as safe and comfy as possible and much more.

My son received excellent driving training from Miss Ruth at Manny’s. Although he was already a fairly good driver (for a 15-year-old), this training corrected a few bad habits, reinforced what I had been teaching him, and taught him some laws and techniques I had forgotten. I feel like he became a safer and more careful driver once he took lessons there. When he would mention driving rules that he learned from Miss Ruth, I just smiled, because generally they were things I had tried to teach him myself, but when he heard them from a professional whom he highly respected, they finally stuck! Manny’s offers a final drive that qualifies the student for their Alaska driver’s license, so we were also saved the hassle of setting up a drive test at the DMV (and making sure our vehicle had everything functioning and no large windshield cracks- a problem for many in Alaska!). Note: This review is strictly based on the services received from Manny’s, the cost/value is not a consideration in this review, because my son’s school reimbursed the tuition cost.

What a great experience! Appreciate that Manny's staff is so big on safety. They really focus on making points that kids just don't seem to appreciate coming from their parents. Our instructor helped our daughter to feel really comfortable, explained the expectations, and scoring process; the reassurance she received prior to the test drive left me feeling confident that if she practiced what she knew, she would do fine. There was a questionable item on the scoring after the test drive and before rating my daughter for a pass or fail on it, Manny's instructor contacted the State DMV Administration for clarification. Helping kids get real about responsibility! Would recommend Manny's in Eagle River to all new drivers.

Mrs Ruth was able to reschedule us when something came up, super nice about it! We only took a drive test, not the classes. She was very helpful and easy to talk to, explained everything about the test and how scoring would work. 10/10, would hella recommend, if not for great customer service, for taking the test in Eagle River instead of Anchorage.
