The instructors at this school were awesome. Manny and Manny, Pat, Elmer all took extra time and effort to help me be successful. Those guys make Phoenix ABQ a great school and I'm confidant I'll be a safe driver after learning there.

Class was easy and informative. The instructors were great, easy to get along with and always willing to help the students. I had complete confidence in my new career field when I graduated from PTDS. My questions never went Un answered and I was always encouraged! Thank you to all the staff at PTDS!

Working with Elmer made me understand things so much better, it’s a great school I learned a lot and feel much more confident on the road thanks to them for teaching the small details with everything else needed to know when driving.

I had a great experience with wonderful instructors that took me from zero experience to road ready in 4 weeks!

Great experience. Just make sure to pay attention to what they are telling you and dont be cocky. Dont be like the other Jacob. Dylan and Miguel are great instructors. If they are still there than you are in good hands.
Tyson Williams
The instructors are very good, however they have a few teachers and a lot of students.... office staff doesn't communicate. Have people tell you false information. Good way to at least get knowledge to pass the test.

I had a great experience at this school. The staff is friendly and very helpful. It can get a little busy on the range with all of the students and everyone needing to learn but if your patient and persistent it will pay off. The instructors are very knowledgeable and will put in the work to see you succeed if your respectful and pay attention to the details. In my opinion, if you show drive and motivation you will go places. I have learned a lot from Manny, Tom, Pat and Josh! They are all professionals and know what they are talking about in the CDL world. They took the time to show me the ropes and explained things great! Thanks!

Good school, but Manuel is the worst instructor because he does not helping the students.

I had a great experience going with Phoenix schooling...
All the Instructors were very helpful. It's all about what you put in. You have to show effort. The office people were nice and friendly. I would DEFINITELY recommend attending Phoenix Truck driving School.. 💯👍🏾 …

Excellent school and very professional instructors, had my CDL in under 4 weeks.

It’s a good place to get your Cdl. When I went there it was a lot of students in a class and very hard to get the time with the instructors but they do get you ready for your exam and to be able to pass it. I can definitely say that Santanna in the office is amazing and goes above and beyond her job title to help everyone to be successful and truly cares. She has even helped me after I graduated with job leads and just to check up and make sure I’m doing good with my new career.

Love Phoenix terminal. I am so excited to soon see it completely finished. Almost there. Showers are nice. Looks like the laundry room will be awesome. Movie theater experience and weight room. OMG! Did I mention the Chefs!? Best food in Phoenix in my opinion. Love love love. If they had a doggie park...I would be over the moon. Shop guys are friendly and on task, as always. It feels good knowing they are checking the trailers coming in. Great job keeping us safe! Love that too!

If they can teach me to drive and back a semi, they can teach anyone! The instructors were all knowledgeable and patient and their awesome personalities made the whole experience very positive. They didn’t give up on me, even when I was struggling to learn some of the basics. If you put in the effort, they will make sure you succeed. Special thanks to Miguel, Allen & Robert for your dedication to the success of all of your students. 1 stop! 😁

Phoenix Truck Driving school is excellent. All the instructors are very patient, kind and know their job well. They truly care about their students and will teach us how to be safe drivers. I am very happy I went and now have my CDL . I’m very thankful to this school and all they have done to teach me. It is definitely a great school with a great staff that cares about their students.

Good learning experience instructor's we're very knowledgeable, and passionate about getting you on the road. Santana was also a good motivator, and also willing to go above to make you feel welcomed. Keep up the good work, I'll be sending friends and family your way.

I had a great experience at this school (after a rocky start with the admissions process). George was very helpful in the office. When I got to the yard all of the instructors really helped me learn. Big shout out to Manny, Leon, James, Mike, and Miguel!! Thanks for everything guys!

Thank you, Miguel, Pat, Robert, Crystal, James, Manny, Elizabeth, Yvonne and George! You are all friends now and helped me greatly in obtaining my CDL. I had a great time here at Phoenix School and greatly appreciated the mentoring, the tricks tips and friendly attitude you all brought to the table. 5-stars definitely! I highly recommend being vigilant, DO NOT stand in the background expecting things to fall into your lap. GET in there, PAY attention, ASK questions and ask them multiple times to different instructors. If there is something you do not UNDERSTAND, ask another instructor or for extra training. I recommend to let the instructors train you, as students will start trying to teach you and train you and most often they are wrong and just arrogant and could steer you in the wrong direction. Definitely trade knowledge and experience but keep what the instructors are teaching you in mind first. I really loved the overall safety of the instructors, they are there to teach and keep everyone safe. If anyone is being dangerous they immediately mediate that situation and ensure everyone is safe! Listen to the instructors, they are there for a reason, if they tell you to do something do it! Pay attention to them because if you do not, I promise you will get frustrated with learning, and begin taking it out on other students or even instructors. ALL of the instructors are VERY friendly amazing personalities and have no animosity towards any students. Unless you are expressing dangerous maneuvers, attitude or are just rude for no reason then they will stand up for the students and themselves. I greatly appreciate their calm demeanor and ability to keep everyone learning happy and safe! 5-stars again!
I had the 3-week program as I, obtained my CDL Permit at the DMV. It only took me 2 weeks and 3 days to get my CDL. The school has loans and grants to help with financial aid. The 4 week class is $4,999. If you obtain your CDL permit at the DMV then it is $4,299 and then there is a $500 cash deposit that you need to put in to start classes and you can not use the loan or grant to pay for this, this will be out of pocket. So a total of $5,500 is what you should be expecting when applying for this school. They will assist you obtain DOT Medical certification, and appointments at the DMV for your proper paperwork.
In my experience for job placement, this school guarantee's you an OTR(over the road) job with SWIFT and can give you little bits of help finding Job postings elsewhere(pepsi, coca-cola, and others). They do not have a job set up at a company of your choosing other than SWIFT. In my experience almost no one wants new drivers without at least 6-12 months of OTR experience. There are jobs all over Albuquerque but most want a bit of experience.
Now that I have opted for SWIFT my recruiter I, was assigned to, I have had the toughest time contacting them. Luckily another recruiter contacted me and has helped me greatly and returns my calls and checks up on me often. Thank you ROD!
If you want your CDL FAST, then this is the school for you. Even with covid-19 here I felt safe and had the best help possible obtaining appointments and certifications with the DMV and Medical exams. Thank you Thank you Thank you Phoenix Truck Driving School!!!!!!!

I’m a cdl driver with a year and a half experience as an OTR driver. I called up and asked about getting training to drive a manual, as I don’t feel confident in my abilities currently and the majority of my professional driving has been in an automatic. Unfortunately Phoenix does not offer a course specifically for my needs, according to the guy I spoke to on the phone. I feel like they are missing out on opportunities to teach students by not offering such a class, because I feel like my situation is not an uncommon one, especially with drivers that started off working for megacarriers, like Swift, Prime, etc. but I will say the man i talked to on the phone was quite friendly and knowledgeable, so 4 stars it is. Good people over here. Start offering a manual class and its 5 stars for sure!

I appreciate Santanna's help in getting us in contact with drivers that were needing jobs. Santanna is very professional and communicates very well. She also takes a lot of pride in helping her students network and find employment. In one week she had 4 drivers for us to interview. We are very happy with the drivers we have hired from this school and look forward to hiring more. Thank you

Previous experience, but over twenty years ago. I had to go through the whole process again. I could have studied on my own, but things : rules,/regulations, electronics in the truck have changed and I think school was the best choice for me. Also I wanted to drive solo during this pandemic.

Uhhhh Ms. Eleina and Yolanda, the paper work lady's, bring me this and bring me that. You make me walk more than my gym trainer lol love you. Thank you for your help and getting me a job to start.
Mr george, you definitely need one more tractor and trailer, for less practice wait time. Trainers try to work with what they have but, not enough.
I RECOMMEND PHOENIX TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOL THEY ARE THE BEST IN TOWN.
Abi Mendoza
I went there on weekends since I had a full time job while going to school. After 6 weekends, 2 ten hour days. I took my test and passed, got my CDL. If you can show initiative and effort then this is the school for you.

The trucking teachers are good miguel pat manny and james nothing to fix there. the office in the other hand was so busy and running around that they lose my papers, I had to help find them other wise I would have to paid or drive 3hrs to get them again, some advice dont get to many students if it is too much to handle
Phillip Edwell
I would definitely recommend Phoenix Truck Driving School to anyone interested in entering the field.... My experience was stellar from top to bottom, George Lucero was informative and very professional.... I am also very grateful to Robert Archunde for his knowledge, skills, and his calm teaching demeanor ....

This is by far NOT the most organized school there is out there when it comes to the office people. However instructors like Miguel ,James and Manny are awesome in what they do and very professional. If you are determined to get your CDL you won’t regret coming here. I just passed my road test yesterday and I’m happy to say so. Last but not least the school is VERY EXPENSIVE around $5,245 to be more specific. Nonetheless you WILL see that money back in your pocket sooner than you might expect. I loved my time being there and I enjoyed helping my fellow students also. Overall this is a great school to come to and get your CDL with. Thank you George and Elaina for all your help. Congratulations to all the new CDL drivers out there!!!

Excellent staff, unfortunately it's over priced for the quality of training. Take your money to CNM, which is nearly a fifth the end cost, or San Juan.
