Rachel FossAfter almost 2 years of trying 5 different anti-epileptics that did not control his seizures my husband's neurologist referred him to the neurology team at Tampa General. We researched Dr Benbadis and found that he has been published in many medical journals. Tampa General Hospital's Neurology Dept (as well as a free others) scored in the TOP 10% of hospitals in the nation. Dr Benbadis and the panel of epilepsy doctors have treated us with compassion and respect. We really felt like they listened to us and after a thorough surgical workup they gave us a couple of surgical options.
It has been a long road of tests and hospital stays. My husband had a Deep Brain Stimulator implanted last month. We are hopeful this will give my husband some relief. I'm so grateful for Dr Benbadis and the rest of the doctors on the panel.
Kristine BigelowWhen my daughters neurologist retired we went through several local neurologists trying to find one who would spend enough time and listen to treat my daughters epilepsy effectively. None of them seemed to care for anything more than how much they could charge to say hello and please pay at the front desk. Dr Benbadis and his staff are very thorough, they explain everything very well and don't make you feel like an idiot if you have questions. They also return phone calls and emails! I highly recommend Dr Benbadis.
Felicia CardozaHe is a Great Doctor. I travel from Pasco country to be his patient. I have been a patient with him for over 13 years. Dr. Benbadis was with me as I had to go for brain surgery. I have tried other physicians each time I moved but I check my insurance and make sure he is a provider. If not, I change insurance to make sure Dr. Benbadis is a provider. Dr. Benbadis is great.
Ken DeRocheI was in the hospital for a week after having a siezure and did not get a diagnosis. I signed myself out and my primary care physician got me in to see Dr. Benbadis who did in 15 minutes what the hospital couldn't do in a week and that is give me a diagnosis. I am an Epileptic and am now siezure free as long as I remember to take my medicine. Dr. Benbadis specializes in hard to treat Epilepsy and. Is internationally known in his field with patients coming from as far away as India to see him.
