I don’t know why people are criticizing the front desk. They are very patient and respectful. I have been taking my kids here for about 6 years. And the whole staff has been getting even better over time. I definitely recommend for anyone who is not sure where to take there child or children for a pediatrician. All of the staff, including Dr. Avilio, are the best staff have ever experienced throughout the years I have been taking my kids to a pediatrician. Definitely recommend.

I have been taking both of my kids with Dr. Muñoz since 2008. The office is clean, the staff is professional and friendly, and Dr. Muñoz is knowledgeable and stays up to date on the latest medical tests and treatments. He is kind, and always smiling, takes time with you, and is professional and efficient.

Dr. Avilio has taken good care of my health throughout my youth. The Dr. is very knowledgable and takes care of his patients with courtesy as well as being respectful of your time in the office. The staff is friendly and helpful even when the office gets busy. Would recommend. Bonus: He and his staff both speak English and Spanish which is very nice for non-english speakers.

I completely disagree with the negative reviews. I have been taking both of my children one of them since day one. Dr Munoz is one of the best pediatricians in the Tampa Bay area. He is very loving and affectionate with my family. He also takes his time to answers questions and does not rush you out the door. He also is not quick to prescribe Antibiotics (which is something I am against) and the staff is very polite and courteous.

I take my son and my two grandkids to Dr.Avilio Munoz I'am very pleased on each and every visit. Yes they are busy and may not be able to answer the phone all the time. But they have nevered failed me in seeing my boys as an appointment, walking in or anything else I need. Staff members nice, friendly, they listen. And they as a team got the job done. We love Dr. Munoz as a person and as a doctor. He's wonderful with our kids and I can tell he is genuine and truly cares about people. He's been practicing a long time and is well-respected in the community. But I have a few complaints, and do agree with some of the other not-so-positive reviews. First, no one EVER answers the phone. I will call and call and call and not get anywhere. It just rings and rings until the system hangs up. No voicemail. Second, some of the people working the front desk are not as friendly as others. On occasion, I have not felt 100% welcome there upon check-in. And lastly, his website is out of date and needs current information about office hours, contact info etc.. Wait times are also not ideal. Dr. Munoz needs more help--GOOD help asap. So I hope he makes some of these necessary changes soon.

I have to say am giving it 3 stars because the doctor is a really good doctor. He really listens to what you have to say. However the communication is horrible. I have reached out to make appt & nothing. Madr it online on a Monday for a Friday, todays is Wednesday afternoon & still haven’t heard if I can take my kid or not. I have called them many, many, many times and keep getting answering machine, have left 3 voice messages and nothing. I have talked to other parents &!isbthe same situation. If they could answer phone or @ least return phone calls I’d given it a 5 but nope.

I love Dr. Munoz and staff as noted below the staff has been with the company for 11+ years. My oldest is 11 years of age and has been with the office since a few days old and while under Dr. Valasquez care. Dr. Munoz is vey knowledgeable, gental, and caring. I will continued to go for as long as we can. Their office is a 30 minuet commute from our current residence but its well worth it

I love that the doctor takes the time to listen to the concerns you have regarding your child. He is a doctor who does not give medicine unless it is necessary. The staff very good. My only complaint would be that getting an appointment is very difficult. that they answer or return calls even though the office has an answering service. (Original) Excelente doctor. Llevo mi hija al él desde recién nacida y nunca he tenido problemas con el doctor. Me encanta que el doctor toma su tiempo para escuchar la preocupación que uno tiene referente a su hijo. Es un doctor que no da medicamentos amenos que sea necesario. El staff muy bueno. Mi única queja sería que para obtener una cita es bien difícil que contesten o regresen las llamadas apesar de que la oficina cuenta con un answering service.
