The hallmark of a successful medical business! Bravo!! The security at the entrance is very tight, intercom, buzzer door release, camera, the works. Located in the seclusion of the semi industrial area, parking is a no hassle. Upon entering, this business begins to reveal the gem in store for the prospective patient. It is a Beautiful spacious environment, modern interior, functional design and clean inviting atmosphere. Where this establishment ultimately shines however, is with the warm genuine patient care. You get the feeling you’re with family, and you’ve known these people for a lifetime. I truly felt these people actually cared about me and I was not just another another data point or income ticket. The warm familiar treatment started with the phone conversation. I was instructed as to what was needed for the first visit and other basic instructions, notably their strict no-show policy. The receptionist were awesome and most friendly. All this warm friendly treatment culminated with nurse yang and Dr Farooq. Beautiful people! You are spoken to with deep abiding concerns. They took the time to explain and gave me space to digest and comprehend what was being said. Very beautiful indeed. If you have no medical reasons to visit this establishment, it is worth the visit if only for the sheer experience of how people ought to be treated, sick or not. A very good reminder that we are all in the ship of life together and not necessarily in a race for profit, wealth and gain. Thank you Dr Farooq and your support team for running a top notch operation. At least that’s how I experienced it.

I recently had a "new patient" appointment that could not have gone better. Let me start by saying that I was impressed with how clean the facility was! I wish that every medical establishment was this clean. Further, Dr. Farooq and his staff were very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. They took time to answer all of my questions and they alleviated any concerns that I may have had about my up coming procedures. I highly recommend them to anyone who is experiencing colo-rectal issues that need a physician's attention. Update: On 26 November 2022 Dr. Farooq performed the surgery (hemorrhoidectomy) that I needed. He visited me and my wife in the recovery room, gave us his personal number, told us to call him that evening, and he said, "I am here for my patients." I had my first follow-up appointment yesterday. Recovery takes time and it is painful, but I am grateful to be in the care of Dr. Farooq. Again, don't hesitate to make an appointment with ColoWell America should you need their expertise. I don't think that you will regret it.

I found Dr. Farooq through a program called Colonoscopy Assist and he performed the colonoscopy I needed. Thankfully, nothing cancerous was found, however he confirmed the rectal issues I've been having and recommended surgery for hemorrhoid removal and a fissurectomy. I'm almost a week post-op and still have a long recovery ahead, but Dr. Farooq has been incredible. Knowledgeable, kind, incredible bedside manner, respectful, informative. If you have any GI needs, go see Dr. Farooq, you will not be disappointed. The office, staff, and everything I've encountered has been amazing.

I see a lot of Doctors and their staff unfortunately. most of my Drs 90% I'd say, make me feel like a number. I can read energy and people very well, too good it's annoying! They don't listen and can't wait to be rid of me. I had a very painful experience I was living with for 4 months because I was sent to the wrong kind of Doctors for my problem. Again not listening. The moment I met Dr Farooq my heart, soul and physical body we're grateful. His first words to me were I'm going to fix this and I'm sorry you've been dealing with this. He is a very genuine human not just Dr. His staff are a bunch of sweethearts. I was so cranky and mean to them because of my pain. They never took it personally and treated me even kinder. I won't go anywhere else for these kind of problems. Which I hope and pray never happen again in my lifetime 😊

Great experience! For several years I have suffered with daily pain in fear of what it would take to fix the problem. I visited Dr. Farooq's office for the very first time on 12/4/20. At that time he and his staff made me feel so confident in his ability to fix my condition with a minimal amount of pain & recovery, that I scheduled my surgery that day for 12/16/20. Everything since then has happened exactly as he said it would. Today is 12/29/20 and I feel like a new man. No pain since 12/20/20 and just a minimal amount of discomfort that is improving by the day. If you are looking for a doctor that genuinely cares and takes the time to listen and answer ALL your questions, look no further than Dr. Farooq. My family and I wanted to show our appreciation to him for what he did for me, so we took this picture and presented it to him to remind him when he looks at it of what a blessing he really is.

I sought out Dr. Farooq after being diagnosed with a fistula, this is a scary diagnosis and raises many questions. Dr. Farooq was available to fully answer all questions to make sure that I was completely comfortable and informed with the procedure and the recovery time. Everyone should care about their health; however certain locations are invested in juicing out your situation. I came in asking for one thing. Yet, from the beginning just a normal first evaluation had a copay of over one hundred dollars just to be evaluated. I said okay, sure I’ll pay. Then the Dr. asked for colonoscopy just to perform the procedure that I actually needed. I said okay, sure I’ll do it. Come to the date of the procedure a new copay to the facility was asked of me. I paid the amount the representative asked as a copay for the doctor. She stated, “ Their could be another copay at the location” and that’s keyword “could be”. I ended having to cancel, because I don’t make enough money to be paying double copays for both the facility and the doctor. Not to mention the second procedure had an even greater amount. My frustration is the miscommunication from this facility to explain upfront the costs. I drank that disgusting medicine to have diarrhea for 2 hours to prep for my colonoscopy for absolutely nothing. Not to mention the inconvenience of using my PTO which I work extremely hard for just to waste away. If you need their service, make sure you either have many credit cards or a big savings or just make really good money. Their friendly and welcoming, but the miscommunication was absolutely unnecessary and disappointing.

I would consider Colowell and alternative medicine option for your gastro needs. Dr Farooq and his staff are very responsive, quick and attentive so if you need to be seen they are there for you. I have very good healthcare and had to pay out of pocket for both prescriptions that he ordered for my issue. He also works with a compounding pharmacy for some treatments so be aware as those are not covered by most healthcare systems. I was well taken care of and my procedure went as planned.

So far so good; great bedside manner. Very communicative. Process went well. Dr Farooq followed up with us evening of surgery wanted to make sure I was doing okay. I was scared that it was going to be a super painful experience, but I followed instructions and I feel great. I was given the sitz container, (bottom) pillow....everything I needed for after care. I stopped taking pain meds by day 4 and took Motrin on day 5. Have not needed anything since then.

Let’s just be honest, going to any doctor for this type of treatment is not easy. It’s uncomfortable, it can be a bit embarrassing and most of the procedures can hurt to say the least. But Dr. Shiraz Farooq and his staff makes all of these facts much easier to deal with. From the onset I was made to feel comfortable and was assured, this is nothing new to them. His staff are always friendly, accommodating and they basically hold you by the hand and give you constant reassurance throughout your treatments with them. I had to have several treatments and as I am coming to a close with my treatments, I couldn’t be happier with choosing Dr. Shiraz Farooq for this unpleasant need. If you are reading this, you are probably suffering. If your situation is as bad as mine had gotten, your condition is debilitating and upending your life. DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL DR. FAROOQ! 11/15 was my 2nd visit to Colowell. Dr Farooq spent much more time with us at our initial visit working together to develop my plan of care. My hemorrhoids have become so very painful in the last year. I had been treated by another gastro MD without success last year. I found Dr Farooq online recently. I perused the reviews which are mostly positive & made an appointment Sydney,office mgr, was so helpful in explaining & clarifying some things by phone for me last Thursday & Friday. We were told today by Marian that I was the last appointment of the day & all of my questions & concerns would be addressed by the Dr. In retrospect, they weren't enough to put me at ease. I was told by Fabiola who scheduled my f/u appt. I could call if I have more ? 's before then. It also would help if there were grab bars installed for a patient to safely stand up from the procedure table when finished. Yesterday my wife asked for help from Fabiola to help her with that. She was helpful. I will continue to follow my plan of care & think positively that all will be well in the near future.

Having the need for a reconstructive type of surgery in this area of the anatomy is challenging just to consider much less to go through. My procedure could not have been more successful. Everything from Dr Farooq's' skillful surgical success, thorough and complete pain management, right down to the significantly improved function, and I am only two weeks out from the surgery.
