I work for home instead. I just started a few weeks ago with the Nashville office. I love that home instead puts there PCG and administrative staff through extensive training before placing them on a shift. You know what is needed and expected before ur first shift. I would recommend anyone looking for a job to look into home instead they will make you feel like family from day one. I know I made the right choice choosing to join this team. I'm super excited to get started in my roll.

I have really enjoyed the meeting elder clients through Home Instead and serving their needs. The job gives flexibility for my own home and family as well. I am able to work hard and take care of others yet read a book as well. I can tell them my available hours and they will work within that framework rather than imposing what I must do when. My job with Home Instead allows me to care for my children or work around their school schedule. They are terrific to work with.

It take a special someone for this job. Christie Greenleaf is one of those ladies who will do all she can to make sure clients and caregivers are taken care of. Home Instead has proved to be a positive experience, In the very frustrating world of having to hire caregivers for my 64 year young husband. The office is easily accessible, which has not been my experience with other companies, and I can always get someone to talk to me about our needs. Having owned a business myself, I understand how hard it is to keep , train, schedule, and supervise employees. Home Instead welcomes my comments and concerns, and they take care of issues in a prompt and thorough a manner. When my caregiver was without a car for a brief time, Home Instead made sure to provide him with transportation to and from our home, so as not to leave us without service. Our caregivers have been professional and respectful. They treat my husband as he should be treated, and never “talk down” or belittle him. When a nurse, OT or PT has come to our home, our caregiver is present, takes note and readily accepts the responsibility of maintaining daily therapy. One of the reasons I chose Home Instead was to have someone to take my husband out for a haircut, massage, or breakfast. I look forward to utilizing this service. Caregiving is exhausting, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to take breaks, knowing that my husband is in loving hands with Home Instead. Thank you to all of you with whom we have worked.

I’ve been working with Home Instead for several months now. Ashleigh, Lorraine, Debbie, Carina, They are all a great group of people to work with. You can get as few or as many hours as you want. Right now, in the home care business, the need is insatiable. The Baby Boomers are getting old and there are many that need care. So, you get asked to work often more than your schedule allows. But, it is just a suggestion. You can say no!, without reprisal. There is a lot to learn depending on where you are in your home care career. The training is great. They offer a lot of varied training. If you are uncomfortable with your level of education and training, just ask. There are many people who can help you get to the comfort level that you want to be. But, you have to ask. No one knows better than you, what you are comfortable with. Unfortunately, the pay is not great. But, the relationships you develop with clients and co-workers can be gratifying and rewarding. It becomes more than just a job. They become part of the family. If you like this kind of work and want higher pay, you have to pursue a nursing assistant or full nursing degree. You will get the opportunity to work with a lot of great nurses and nursing assistants too. This is a great place for young people to start and gain experience in this field. It is a great place for more mature individuals who have a lifetime of experience to offer.

I have been helping a neighbor get home care set up through Home Instead. We did have some bumps to begin with but after a meeting with Kelsey and tweaking their needs things are much better. Then a visit to the hospital and rehab happened and Home Instead went over the top to help me advocate for them and get information and even have people in place for their return home to be safe and sound. Really appreciate all they have done to help us out.

I don't have any experience with placing a loved one in this program but I went through the training as a caregiver and thought the experience was a pleasant one. I love the concept of allowing your loved one to continue life at home and the training I experienced gave me the impression that this company values great relationships with the clients and their families as well as continuity of care. Due to scheduling conflicts and personal time restraints I was not able to continue employment but the staff was super informative and helpful and the people in my training group seemed like they would be very attentive care providers overall.

I can't say enough good about Kelsey Stone and the caregiving team she was able to put together for my aunt. Kelsey worked hard with me to find professional, compassionate caregivers who repeatedly went above and beyond their job description. The women she found were a good match in personality for my aunt and did everything they could to ensure she had the best quality of life that she could, given her circumstances. Home Instead is also excellent about making sure that every shift is covered, even when there is a last minute emergency with a caregiver. Home Instead makes sure someone shows up for the shift. Scheduler Loraine Jackson has done a particularly fine job arranging for appropriate caregivers to meet my husband’s changing needs, sometimes under challenging circumstances. We are grateful for the help that all these fine people have provided, enabling my husband to continue living at home with me.They have taught me through their example how to become a better caregiver myself.

Save your time and money going to other companies. I have used 3 different companies to help out with a 83 year old woman before finding the perfect company and caregiver at Home Instead Senior Care. We went through alot of frogs before we found our princess, but persistence paid off. She is a perfect fit and there has been a great bond between the client and the caregiver. The samething can be said about the supervisors and managers, they are all wonderful!!!

I have a caregiver that is close to my age which makes it fun to have conversations and go on little trips shopping. Also, my caregiver does things without me having to ask her to do things. Previous care givers I would have to make lists for them to do and there may have only been two things on that list and they wouldn’t even finish them. With my caregiver now she goes above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable, happy, and safe. I don’t know what I would do without her.

My husband and I have elected to use Home Instead Senior Care. While we have only been with Home Instead a few weeks, I am overjoyed with the caregiver who comes into our home twice a week. He is new as a caregiver but he has done an amazing job of developing a relationship with Pat and also being willing to undertake a wide variety of tasks in our home--walking the dog, giving meds, changing the sheets, doing laundry. The most important thing he does is to go into the bedroom where Pat is often watching television, often programs I doubt he is interested in. However, he asks questions and they also talk about many subjects. I can see already that Pat is coming out of his shell and enjoying our caregiver's company and presence. On the days he comes I am more free to leave home to take care of errands and visit with friends. We are truly grateful for Home Instead of Nashville.
