Dr ordered lab tests and Scan. Next physician visit will be virtual. Really liked Dr Bourji, but this location is sketchy. However, Dr has another office, which is where I will be seeing him next time.

Dr. Bourji took his time to read my history, listen to me, and do a physical exam. I like that he doesn't use just one means (labs vs. physical exam) to diagnose you, but instead pieces together the whole picture. He explains things well and is patient. Also that he didn't rush to prescribe anything more than Vit. D and Turmeric. Front office staff are very nice. Office space is old and dingy, but not dirty. Still, I would recommend him and will continue to see him, myself.

This was my first visit with Dr Bourji. I have a lot of another issues going on and seeing one more specialist, just had me beside myself. He was great, he made my visit worth it. He explained everything thoroughly. He took his time and reviewed my blood work and gave me a proper exam. He was honest and explained my meds and care moving forward. Dr. Khalil Bourji was amazing. He's very thorough, went through the health records in detail to assess if there's any underlying problem. He listens and I didn't feel rushed during an appointment with him. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the office process itself. It felt unorganized from the moment I reached out to them. Dr. Bourji works under First Person medical institution network that provides other services as well. And it may be a bigger issue with that particular medical practice. I had sent paperwork a week in advance and called several times leading to the appointment to assure that insurance was verified and that the paperwork was received. Each time the staff would tell me that they would check and call back, but never did. I had to resend the filled documents again during the check in. So the staff needs a bit of a streamlined process when it comes to patient care experience. That said, Dr. Bourji's bedside manner made it all worth it!

First of all getting a rheumatologist in Las Vegas or Henderson is difficult. Most of the rheumatologists in town have a 6-8month wait for an appointment or they are not taking new patients. I was able to get an appointment within 2 weeks and Dr. Bourji was very knowledgeable and understanding. He listened to me as I described all my symptoms and came up with a plan to address them all. I drive 30minutes to see him and will continue to do so. Please check him out if you are looking for a GOOD rheumatologist.

He doesn’t rush you or cut you off while you’re telling him your issues, he truly listens and actually reads the packet of papers you spend time on filling out. NOTE: When they tell you to arrive 1hr early….. you should definitely arrive 1hr early, the paperwork is thick 📚 The front desk staff are extremely nice, helpful and professional. The staff was great I’m not sure why all the negative reviews but in my experience they were very professional, as soon as I got in I was checked in and given paperwork . Within 10 mins I was in a room and within 5 dr bourji was seeing me. He’s the only doctor that did a full exam checking my heart , joints etc and he ordered labs and got me medication to help in the mean time . I really enjoy the one on one with the Doctor to discuss my condition and concerns with detail, so I can understand my results and what needs to be done to address the issues. I’m not rushed out of the office. The staff there is very patient friendly and they are very punctual with my appointment time. Both are very important to me. Dr. Bourji is absolutely One of the most concerned and caring physicians I’ve ever met in my entire life! He takes the time to explain bloodwork and x-rays and forge a plan to get my extremely painful rheumatoid & Osteo arthritis’ under control. He has also referred me to a hepatologist. Because my liver numbers were so high he wants to make sure that The DMARDS he puts me on will be much safer with fewer side effects. He is conferring not only with the hepatologist that he referred me to, but also with my PCP so he can stay caught up with ALL Of my treatments/meds & any contraindications that may arise . My previous PCP’s had referred me to no fewer than six Rheumatologists totally unaware that they were booked up a minimum of six months all the way through 2022!! Pay attention you doctors!! Know something about the doctor you’re referring us to!!! Why in the world would you refer to a doctor that’s impossible to see! RA & OA don’t go away – it just keeps getting worse without treatment! And the longer you wait the worse it gets! I was in excruciating pain that was Covid caused. In the last 10 days my pain has dropped immensely! This is the best I have felt in four months! Not only physically -but psychologically! I was so frustrated and depressed because I could not find someone to help me with the Constant and continuous pain !! I am now able to not only make my own meals, but I’m also able to drive to shop for groceries & pick up my Rx’s without relying on a neighbor. Before Covid hit I was extremely active. I survived a severe case of Covid & Covid-caused pneumonia in August of 2021 by getting monoclonal antibodies. About two weeks after recovering ,that’s when the excruciating arthritis pain started and within 8 to 10 days every single joint in my body was so painful I had to use a walker to get out of my bed and go to the bathroom only 10 feet away. I had to quit my job as a pit boss at a major strip property . My body literally became a train wreck of pain w/several fingers, both wrists & a couple toes becoming distorted in such a short time because I could not get into see a rheumatologist. My fingers felt like someone had broken every one of them! It’s been three months since referrals were sent to eight different rheumatologists around the valley. Only one has bothered to respond and I found out that two others had put all referrals on hold without even a courtesy call to those of us waiting for help!! I understand specialists are in huge demand and low supply. What I don’t understand is why in the world if they truly care about people and their chosen profession, don’t they hire some nurse practitioners or PA’s To help with the patient load!! There are graduating classes of these professionals every few months around the country looking for jobs !! I feel certain when we start on the DMARDS that Dr. Bourji prescribes, I will be back to my pre-Covid happy self!! I have referred three friends and former colleagues to Dr. Bourji because their rheumatologists are ‘ uninterested’ & one of them has to go all the way to California because they could not get an appointment locally!! The day that Dr. Bourji‘s office called to set up an appointment I actually cried because I was so relieved to know I’d finally be getting help! Given my past experience with physicians around the Vegas Valley I wasn’t expecting very much in the way of bedside manner or them even particularly caring about my pain. I don’t believe there is a phony bone in Dr. Bourji’s body. I think he is an honest & pragmatic scientist who truly cares about what’s happening to the world – especially with his own patients!!! He seems as excited as I am to help make me better!! It’s almost like a mystery or a puzzle that he can’t wait to solve. I know It can take several weeks or longer to find & settle into Meds that will actually work. However, I’m sure the time will fly by with Dr. Bourji as my attending physician! I’m just crossing my fingers he doesn’t leave Las Vegas because I will have to follow him!!
